Okay so the whole Crowdstrike thing is kind of funny….

…until you’re stranded in a foreign country because your flight back home has been cancelled, you’ve had an autistic meltdown that lasted an hour because it’s potentially fucked up your weekend with your friends back home, your dad has been trying to find a new flight and has had your mum on the phone who in turn has managed to find a flight but it’s at 6:00 in the next morning and has a 4 nearly 5 hour lay over for a connecting flight so you’re now stranded in a foreign airport for over 12 hours, meaning you are now spending a total of over 18 hours in various airports, you’re exhausted but you can’t sleep, you’re miserable and anxiety ridden because there’s a possibility of more delays and cancellations to further screw up something you’ve planned for months and have been super excited about for when you get home.

But yeah go on Tumblr, it’s funny, until you’re in the middle of it.

it's kind of weird to me that they didn't bother releasing sushi and tempura internationally at all but at the same time i'm kinda glad they didn't cuz like. yo-kai watch was financially failing in the west by the time 3 released. i feel like if they had released sushi and tempura the franchise would've completely tanked before we got sukiyaki which would've sucked. honestly if anything i feel like it's more surprising that we got all three versions of 2 instead of them just releasing psychic specters but tbf i think yo-kai watch was doing well in the west when 2 released. 2 is just inexplicably what killed the franchise despite being a masterpiece-

An app being allowed to update on my phone is a PRIVILEGE it must earn. I go to the update section of the app store and scroll through the list like a king deliberating on a row of my subjects and then I point at a few of them and tell them they may update and the rest are to return to prison Immediately for an indefinite period of time.

I hope whoever thought it was a good idea for AO3 to not allow on mobile the ability of bold and Italic text to be carried over from a copy n paste doc even when you FUCKING SELECT HTML AND NOT PLAIN TEXT a very pleasant “I hope you were kicked off the staff” and I’m only half joking.

I hate it when head office bigwigs push out twelve thousand updates for “security” and to “streamline” services. You’re not doing or achieving any of that you have NUKED my computer and given it ANXIETY jesus fucking christ

the new mac os update changed the way the cmd+` shortcut works and I am going to drive to silicon valley and commit a murder. multiple murders, even. maybe go on a spree.

my favourite thing in the world is when you get a letter from the government accusing you of essentially being fraudulent when youre not, so you send an email to the email listed on the letter that explains how it isnt fraud and you attach documents to prove it, and then months later they send another letter saying you did not reply to the last letters (they only sent the one) and as such you are subject to a penalty of £125 and oops if you dont pay today, it goes up by £50, and thats just not an amount of money most people have handy to pay off false fraudulent claims. so this time, you email them again and you then go through their website to send another email, and then you call them and explain it, and their workers tell you that its all sorted and youre no longer subject to the penalty.

and then, a month later you get another letter saying that youve been picked up on the false fraudulent thing again and warm you about the penalty you have to pay. because apparently the worker on the phone removed the penalty but didnt change the incorrect information on the system like they were meant to.

so then you have to email them again, explaining everything again, attaching all the evidence again, and also call them again just in case and explain everything again, and this time she does change it on the system and says shell have a corrected certificate sent to your email within the hour.

and then two hours later, you get an email saying youll be emailed the corrected certificate within 24 hours.

Windows forced me to update to windows 11 today. (yes, forced, I was unable to continue to use my computer until I pressed one of two buttons on screen, "update a few minutes after arriving at your desktop" or "update the next time windows checks for updates(today)"

It did not give me any options to decline

It did not give me an option to schedule it for another day

It did not give me time to make any backups before it began updating.

and even worse, the update began around 9am this morning. It is now 8pm. The update has reached 95%. I have not entered the restart period of the update yet.

I was really hoping to update my C drive to something with more storage space before doing any big updates, and I certainly didn't want to go to 11. (windows systems are already clogging 64+ gigs of my 100GB, and other program files that have automatically download to the C drive have taken up the rest, I've sat at a pretty 8GB left for over a year now while trying to prune and move files and it just stays there) (I am so tired of remapping program files to go to the D drive instead, so tired of it)

if this forced 'upgrade' update bricks my computer I'm going to be so fucking mad, it's already bad enough it's taken the entire day to install it.

Can you actually not shut down ur computer without it updating even when you have updates paused and automatic updates turned off. If that's true I'm going to kill myself
