Alx was on a mission. It was a very good mission, and they would not fail it. They had everything ready- a reason to be at the Hellp Desk (dragging a particularly nasty soul down who was due to arrive) and a way to start a conversation. Saying they liked Izuku’s hair was a good compliment. Right?

The blue-skinned demon paused to adjust their hair. It was one of the few things they couldn't shape shift, something their mother was baffled by as she could change her hair in anyway she wanted with a thought. Their father pointed out that his heritage probably came into play with that. Alx didn’t mind it. Much like their nails it was nice to have to put effort into things.

However, they did wish at that moment to be able to make the stupid strands stay straight.

Taking a breath, they walked right to the desk where they saw Izuku talking with some soul. Not the soul they had to grab, so Alx felt confident as they walked up to the desk.

“I don’t care who or what you were in life, you can’t take it with you. Level four,” Izuku was saying in a bored tone as he was turning back to his notebook.

“I was doing what was best-“ the soul began, his green and yellow hair becoming less prim and proper as he ran his hands through it.

“No you were attempting to control a situation due to your self righteousness and your egotistical nature due to your Quirk. You could see A future not THE future. Future in itself is subjective,” Izuku interrupted. “You had no right to demand things of your former hero partner and you barely pass on how you outright groomed your intern and forced him into a roll he didn’t outright choose. You then used a tickle machine which is actually classified as a torture device in some countries on other employees of yours. The only reason you’re not on a lower level is you did have good intentions you just failed. Level four,” Izuku turned away from the soul to smile. “Alx, right? You’re here for Kai when he shows up?”

“Overhaul himself yeah,” Alx said casually. They raised an eyebrow at the soul in front of the desk who looked lost. He didn’t seem to know what to say. “Keeping busy?”

“More or less. We don’t often get you guys up here to get souls,” Izuku said, tilting his head with his big green eyes blinking.

Alx had to hold back their coo as they shrugged, wishing there was something to lean against so they could tug their clothes a bit to show off their figure. They’d given themself a chest for the day, and some rocking curves, wanting to show off for Izuku. Their cute top showed a bit but the casual leaning would work better…

“I shouldn’t be here,” snarled a voice. A brunette man had come to the desk. “I was ridding the world of that disgusting disease called Quirks!”

“No you were an abusive bastard who wanted an excuse due to your own issues regarding how touching things made you fully aware of everything in it including germs which caused you to go mad,” Izuku said back, eyes narrowed. “Which would give you leeway if you didn’t know what you were doing was wrong and enjoyed hurting a little girl over and over again.”

“That thing was diseased,” the soul snarled. “No one should control time like it did. I did what-”

“Quirks are not evil things. What people do with them makes them wrong or bad. And you went around hurting people, hurting a child who hadn't been able to control her Quirk,” Izuku said coldly. “And you liked it. Just like how you liked the control you had over your subordinates. Liked how you put your ‘father’ in a coma. You can run around claiming anything you want, I have your file right here,” Izuku held it up, holding Overhaul’s eyes. “And as a ��pure’ person, a Quirkless person in life, I will only say this, I hope you don’t go to the void to soon. I hope you stay on level nine a very good long time.”

“Holy fuck you're hot,” Alx blurted out. It broke the tension and Izuku’s head whipped around to them. They flushed and grabbed Overhaul. “GOTTA GO!”

To the Void- WHY?!?

This is the best thing Horikoshi could've done for Overhaul's fate:

Doesn't let him off the hook for what he did to Eri especially.

Forces him to feel guilty and apologize to Eri for the rest of his life.

Makes sure that he never forgets Eri and what he did to her.

Let's his old boss (Eri's grandfather who was forced into a coma by Overhaul prior to her being abused if I remember correctly), basically haunt him for the rest of his fucking life to make sure he's pays for his sins.

yknow what. I wanna say: CSA and COCSA survivors are all incredible, but I also wanna give a shout out to ppl who were exposed to sexual stuff or had any kind of sexual experience as a kid that they either aren't comfortable labelling as or don't consider abuse, but they know it still fucking sucked and shouldnt have happened. Even if that changes later in life and you identify as a victim/surivor, it can be messy to have to imagine those labels applying to the ppl in ur life and that can take time.

The most important thing is to prioritize your recovery + health, and to support other victims + survivors.

I'm having incoherent thoughts about clone danny again from the clone/clone^2 au (when am I not?) but more specifically I'm thinking about his reaction to finding out he's a clone. The standalone clone au digs into that a little more than clone^2, which is more focused on Danny and Damian's relationship. But neither (so far) really get into Danny's issues about finding out he's a clone after 15 years of thinking he wasn't.

Because he resents his parents for not telling him for so long. He resents the way he found out; through a trivial school project rather than a sit-down talk. He resents the fact that, apparently, they had meant to tell him sooner. But forgot. He resents the fact that they never told him because finding out feels like something was stolen from him when it had the chance to not be.

Danny Fenton, just fifteen, cloned not even half a year ago, knows what that personal violation of autonomy feels like. He knows what it's like to be cloned and while he loves Ellie, he does, she's his sister, and in this au his twin. But he is still left with that feeling of unsafety after realizing he'd been cloned. Being cloned is violating. The onset realization that it's so easy to get DNA without the other party noticing, and that what was stopping someone from trying to clone him again?

Followed only after with the rest of the inexplainable mix of feelings of being cloned, the rest of that inner conflict and panic that's an ugly mocktail of emotions that range from horror to fear. Trying to imagine what it's like to be cloned from the cloned party, and I imagine that it leaves you with the feeling of needing to crawl out of your own skin with discomfort.

And then he gets put on the other side of it. Danny Fenton, only fifteen, was cloned not even half a year ago, finding out he is a clone. And reactions, I imagine, can vary from person to person. But to him, it feels like something got stolen from him, like someone took a hole puncher and stuck it right into his chest and stole a chunk of himself from him.

It changes nothing about him and yet it changes everything. It's a betrayal on it's own to just find out he was a clone and they didn't tell him for fifteen years -- it shouldn't mean anything, because he's still Danny, and yet it means everything. It's him, it's him, it's about him. It's his personhood. It's about the fact that a load-bearing rock in his identity just crumbled beneath his feet and now there's a rockslide.

Because then he finds out that they used the wrong DNA. Its like pouring salt in an open wound. He's not even related to his parents or his sister, when for years he thought he was. It's the fact that pieces of his identity that he's been so secure in for so long just got ripped away from him in an instant. Then they tell him -- only through his own horrified prompting -- that the person whose DNA they used -- Bruce Wayne -- didn't even know he existed. That they accidentally used the wrong DNA, then didn't tell the person whose DNA they used.

The betrayal of being lied to for years turns really quickly into horror at his own existence. Something very similar to the horror he felt at being cloned and the skin-crawling discomfort that made him feel like his own skin wasn't really his. And then its not. It's actually not. Nothing but his own name feels like it belongs to him anymore -- not his hair, not his eyes, not his heart or his lungs, nothing feels like his anymore and he didn't know what that felt like until it was gone.

It's a question of Nature Vs. Nurture -- where does the line of "nature" begin and where does the line of "nurture" end? What of him is actually his? What of him is Bruce Wayne's? It's not logical, it's not supposed to be. It's a load-bearing wall on the house of his identity being destroyed and now everything else is caving down in on him. What belongs to Danny, what belongs to Bruce Wayne?

Gee, Pops. Who woulda thought adopting a severely traumatized child but never calling him son or even by his own goddamn name, ostracizing him from your "real family" (aka never referring to your daughter as his sister or Eri as his niece, only ever "my daughter" or "my granddaughter") and then raising him in an organization that's built entirely on loyalty, would go the absolute mile to make you happy and gain power to that organization. Who'd'a think it, right? it's definitely not like he's trying to prove himself to you. no not at all, never.

I don't think it ment he'd transfer All for One to the closest hero but rather use one of his 'spares' to take another route in his plan.

We keep getting reminded of Chisaki. His quirk being the foundation of Decay, Deku losing his arms, him showing up in Shigaraki's mind-place. I think this is intentional on Horikoshi's part, trying to stir up some wonder on where Chisaki is and why he just sorta disappeared.

Chisaki's a bit of a mystery, we don't know who his true parents are, we don't know how he ended up in the doctor's facility, or how Afo knew he was another soul tainted by the unjust hero system.

"That one boy" I'll be honest, this could easily be about Dabi. But why not say "Dabi", the doctor was already talking about him using his name. That whole dialog sorta feels like a warning about another. (I put the whole panel for y'all to interpret yourself if you wanna. First of three⬇️) Not to mention the doctor's wording, "didn't buy what we were selling", Kai's whole arc was about getting people to buy what he was selling.

Not to mention this checks out with Chisaki's personality. He's known to be deviant like Dabi, to go off and do what he thinks is best despite what others say. A lot of people speculate that Kai ran away from the doctor's facility, and that's when the yakuza boss found him. The yakuza boss and crime facility that's said to be the only thing he likes, and he lost it all because he believed he knew better.

Now stay with me on this one...

Chisaki needed to lose his independent personality (or, in better terms, Afo needed Chisaki to lose his independent personality). Kai needed to go through and lose everything he valued because of this independent behavior so he would grow to hate and shun that part of himself. This would make him vulnerable to someone's words; "Let me lead you", "You never do anything right yourself", "You need guidance, I can guide you".

If/once Chisaki finds out the boss is dead and it's naturally all his fault, that'll be his true breaking point and when he's at his most vulnerable. I've literally been saying this for years, Kai is the perfect target for Afo's fresh start.

Horikoshi's been talking about a sequel, who knows if he'll actually make it or how long it'll be when he does. But I really hope that he'll up the rating so his managers will let him go more indepth with his villains like he said he wanted to.😭
