the thing that lowkey kills me about spider is that, it’s you can’t blame anyone too much in that situation( except jake. fuck jake ). it’s unfair to expect neytiri to be okay with son of the man who destroyed her home walking around with her kids, it’s unfair to expect them to sacrifice their safety for spider when he gets caught, it’s unfair to hold it against her when she uses him as a bargain because she’s a mother who just lost a child and she can’t lose another. it’s unfair to hold her it against her too much. but at the same time it’s not his fault who his father is and it’s not his fault human imperialism is plaguing pandora again. it’s not his fault he is an orphan of war and it’s not his fault that he needed someone. so i can’t really hold it against him too much when he saves quadritch. it’s grey areas all around.

the manuscript ending the album on the utter jawdrop moment that neither of the muses of the actual album were the first men to fuck her up with promises of marriage and babies, and that first heartbreak so long ago laid the scene for the woman she would become and the ways she would approach love and how we all watched her life like scenes in a show but she kept coming back to the manuscript of the first torrid affair that ruined her, to bookend an album about two love affairs that destroyed her utterly in almost the exact same way, because all her muses are acquired like bruises........ it's bone-chilling

haven’t seen lots of awareness brought to this in enhablr yet but i really wish all engenes could also post about & talk about the mistreatment they’re getting from belift. the way they haven’t had not even five days of rest the past two years is so concerning. the way the members’ healths are getting worse is so terrifying. they’re all so horrendously overworked and exhausted. we all saw jay’s injury and how they STILL made him perform despite the fact that his knee was injured. and now he’s on a hiatus that probably won’t even last that long considering how greedy their company is.

jake had to sit out from two different stages in their most recent concert and couldn’t even open his eyes when he was present for the other stages. heeseung can’t even properly perform with how overworked and exhausted he is. riki even spoke out about fainting in his weverse (whether it was a mistranslation or joke or not) this is all so terrifying. it’s so concerning because every engene knows how much enha love music & how much they love performing and having concerts for their fans.

their schedules for the past two years have literally been inhumane. comeback after comeback. tour after tour. event after event. concert after concert. belift is treating the members like they’re literal robots and the only people that can actually stop this is engenes themselves the longer you demand for a rest for the boys for no more comebacks and even boycott the higher of a chance enha will have a BREAK.

so please as an engene SPEAK OUT. repost reblog on here on every platform retweet on X share posts on tumblr use hashtags do whatever you can in your power for enha because it’s so clear they don’t have anyone else but us engenes when their own company is treating them like this.

mind you. they’re planning on making enhypen have another comeback at the final quarter of this year. AGAIN.

I should probably say this story is a bit of a slow burn, and it’s long. The current wordcount is over 10k, and I know where I want to take the whole thing, plot-wise… Your enthusiasm and reblogs will keep me going to finish it, I’m sure!

Anyway, it’s after midnight here, but I wanted to give you this as soon as I could (please forgive any editing fluffs; it’s been a long day!) as a thank you for your patience regarding Etsy stuff.

Chapter One (sfw)

Hunched at the kitchen table, with a slice of that crusty, locally-made bread dripping with honey the next morning, Odessa perused the leaflets from Tala.

After flipping through a few, she settled on a trail that led straight past the cabin and up into the forested hills behind, promising good views from the top of some densely-packed contour lines. Tala had advised her to check in at the cabin, but on reflection she honestly couldn’t be bothered to drive in and drive back to the cabin again, and she didn’t exactly plan on going far, so she set off after breakfast with her small rucksack and her sturdy boots, and excitement fizzling though her muscles.

Naturally, it started raining as she neared the summit of the trail and, grumbling to herself, she extricated her waterproof and sighed as raindrops spattered down from the rusty autumn leaves onto the hood, turning the coat practically into a drum. Below, mist pooled and shifted in the valley, caressing the rooftops of the town as it blew lazily past in drifts, and steam rose from the trees until the whole place seemed like a living breathing organism. In a way, she supposed it was. Despite the rain, it was still gorgeous, and a feral smile soon split her face, and she shoved back her hood to let the drops patter down, heedless of the way it frizzed her hair to a wild tangle and ran down her cheeks.

For the first time in months, she felt truly alive.

On her way back down the six mile loop though, her skin began to prickle in a way that had nothing at all to do with the damp in the air.

Eventually, she ground to an uneasy halt on the corner of a gritty, switch-back path, listening as the merry rivulet of water that had been accompanying her for the last mile or so seemed to grow almost overwhelmingly loud in the otherwise still air. Apart from the steady patter of raindrops through the dark canopy of pines and deciduous beech, the woods had gone suddenly silent.
