The Shaw pack going out to a sports bar with their mates- and they just happen to have a mechanical bull.

Everyone gets drunk as fuck, Sweetheart and Sam are downing shots together while Angel and Babe do the same. Milo and Ash are fighting over the jukebox while David fights himself not to get a migraine just watching everyone. (He’s the designated driver ofc)

90’s rock plays loudly over the conversations in the bar, and that’s when Angel pretty much darts past the jukebox to check out the mechanical bull. You bet they’re hauling ass on that thing, demanding the mechanic not to take it easy on them. This only catches the rest of the packs attention when the huge crowd of the bar pretty much huddles around the small arena. David’s ears perk up at the loud cheering, and he notices Babe slam their drink down to join them.

That’s when David sees his mate atop this huge ass mechanical bull, back arched and hair a mess as they struggle to stay upright. He’s tall enough to see over the crowd, and he’d be a damn liar to say that he didn’t absolutely love the sight. But the fact that the rest of these strangers got to see them like this too- yea, David didn’t like that too much either.

Angel’s laughing like a maniac, occasionally yelping as they hit a difficult spot in the programming. Once they do fall however, they’re just laughing harder despite the nausea. David flinches, but Asher holds his shoulder as Angel jogs back to the rest of the group. “I didn’t die!” “Fucking hell-“

Babe is a little clumsier than Angel, so they refuse to get on the “robotic cow”. However, Sweetheart sneaks past the group to give it a try themselves- despite the alcohol soaked nerves that threaten to reach the surface. Milo was drinking and chatting with Angel and Ash when David’s mate stood on the step of their barstool to start cheering and laughing.

Milo choked on his drink by the time he reached their line of sight.

And yes Sam absolutely rode the bull and almost reached Angel’s top score. David- sober as fuck- never even got near the thing unless his mate was the one riding it. Asher tried to stand on it and sprained his wrist so they had to go home. Milo couldn’t even last three seconds on the bull- to which Sweetheart cackled from their seat and booed him. (Which he returned with a very loving middle finger)

15: washing the other’s hair

Nerd didn’t need help showering. Ever. There were a lot of tasks that it was helpful to have someone else doing, but this wasn’t one of them. That was why God made shower chairs, after all.

But Val was… they weren’t sure if clingy was the right word. He liked to help, and he liked when they gave him something to do. And he liked being near them when he had the option. And they liked him, obviously. So, they didn’t need the help, but every once in a while they would ask anyways.

The shower in their apartment was a little small to comfortably fit a chair and two full-grown people. Logistically speaking, Val either had to be in front of them, partially leaned over in order to not bust his head on anything, or behind them, and there wasn’t an easy way for him to move between the two. He was behind them now, popping open the cap of their shampoo.

“Don’t use too much,” they said reflexively.

“I know,” Val replied. “I’m practically a pro at this.”

Okay, so, maybe they asked him to shower with them more than every once in a while. He deftly moved his fingers into their scalp, and Nerd exhaled, their shoulders loosening. He was so… gentle with them, in a way they didn’t always know what to do with.

“Done,” Val announced. They wouldn’t’ve minded him continuing a little longer, honestly, but they didn’t argue. He leaned all the way forward, his chest against their shoulders as he reached for the detachable head on the shower. “Close your eyes, darling.”

They did, and they felt water cascading over them, rinsing their hair out. Val combed his fingers through it as he did, thorough without making them ask him to be. Then that was over too, and he was straining forward again to put the attachment away.

“Your turn.” Nerd didn’t hear him move. They twisted around in their seat to catch his eye. He raised an eyebrow, then smiled, obediently stepping out.

Nerd scooted back a hair, and then he got back in in front of them. Positioned like this, he had to stand firmly in their personal space, leaned over them, half between their legs. Val smiled down at them. “Hi there, Professor.”

“Hi.” He must have caught something in their tone, because he gave a little laugh as he passed them the shampoo. “Get down here,” they said, and he bent at the waist to give them access to his scalp. It didn’t take long to scrub his head, and they didn’t particularly linger on it - the original demand was indulgent enough. He straightened when they stopped, rinsing under the normal head, looking at them with an achingly soft look on his face.

It was 5% more than they could stand. Nerd nudged him with their leg. “You should kiss me.”

He laughed again. “Okay.” Val leaned back over them, moving two of his fingers under their chin. He pressed their lips chastely together then leaned back. “Good?”

“No,” they replied, moving a hand to his shoulder and tugging him back in. When he laughed again, it was against their lips, and Nerd couldn’t help laugh with him.

i just really wish it was common knowledge how absolutely vital likes/comments on instagram posts are, and how fucking much those pages that just repost other people's pics/art/memes even with credit totally fuck over the original poster/creator. like the instagram explore page is very rarely original content if you look, its basically just a cesspool of accounts who are getting attention (or at worst profiting) from the algorithm for doing nothing but reposting someone else's work and its so fucking frustrating.
