I think I would be able to handle it if the only problem was people hating my ships, I used to laugh at those comments.

But the subtle transphobia and fetishization/sexualization is a lot for me. A lot of it is little jabs, using stupid words in questions about their bodies, stuff like that, but they add up.

I feel like I put a piece of myself into my ocs and the trans aus of characters I make, and then I have to watch people point and laugh or sneer or lust over a body that looks like mine

I love my Jax, and I’ve been told by other transmasc people that he makes them feel better in their own bodies too, and I work hard on my art. And after working hard on it, and feeling proud of it, and seeing a body like MINE in it, a LOT of you have nothing to say about him other than spamming “why does he have tits,” using every derogatory term imaginable for his chest, or some BS about how you’re gonna masturbate to him now that he’s got a body you get off on

It makes me feel disgusting

It happens to my ocs too, but at least they don’t get a lot of attention, they don’t have a fandom

I dont wanna just run and hide and stop drawing these characters the way I do, but sometimes this fandom makes it so hard.
