Just remembered an acephobic post I saw that pissed me off so badly that I immediately blocked the account on sight.
It said that sex favorable aces aren't real aces and therefore asexuality isn't real and saying that sex favorable aces are valid is the same as telling straight men they are still straight if they have sex with other men. Something on those lines.
As an acespec person: SUCK MY ENTIRE DICK
How dare you act like you know more about my identity than I do!
Having a sex drive/libido isn't the fucking same as sexual attraction, you smoothbrained donkey!
People like this fucking thundercunt are the reason it took me YEARS to find out I was ace because of shit they said!
Fuck acephobes and fuck anyone who subscribes to this bullshit!

Sorry for another venty post but I need to stop checking on my twitter account every one in a while. The hate on asexual people both in and out of the lgbtq+ community is wild. 60k likes + awful comments..? I feel constantly grouped out the lgbtq+ community, and I think the thousands of replies to that tweet cements this. I hate this wave of ignorance.

hi just a reminder that acespecs who have high libido and/or are sex favorable exist. and we're just as valid as sex repulsed, sex averse, or sex indifferent acespecs. i see a lot of posts that fundamentally exclude us and it's getting on my nerves.
you can like/desire sex and still be on the ace spectrum. you can have regular sex and still be on the ace spectrum. you can be kinky and still be on the ace spectrum. you can enjoy porn/smut and still be on the ace spectrum. you can masturbate and still be on the ace spectrum.

How does demisexuality relate to asexuality and the asexual spectrum?
Asexuality represents a sexual orientation defined by the experience of little to no sexual attraction or desire for sexual activity. While this broad definition is most commonly accepted, some asexual individuals may further specify their relationship to sex as encompassing a general lack of interest rather than a complete absence of attraction.
Regardless of the nuances, asexuality is recognized as a valid and distinct orientation, with demisexuality occupying a related but distinct position on the asexual spectrum. Demisexuals share many similarities with their asexual counterparts, in that they too report feeling little to no spontaneous sexual attraction towards others.
However, the key distinction lies in demisexuals' capacity to develop sexual feelings, given the right circumstances. For them, the formation of a deep emotional bond with another person is the necessary prerequisite for any sexual attraction to emerge. Many demisexuals find themselves attracted to only a handful of individuals, or even just one, over the course of their lifetimes.
This stands in contrast to the asexual experience, where sexual attraction remains elusive regardless of the emotional context. Demisexuals, then, are considered part of the broader asexual community due to their general lack of spontaneous sexual desire, even as their unique needs and experiences warrant recognition as a distinct identity.

I would not at all be surprised to find out that the real reason Alastor declined his invitation into the Vees was because Vox is hella acephobic and Alastor was not about to deal with that shit 24/7 lol
Tumblr media
Alastor may not know what "asexual" means, but he knows bullshit when he hears it. And Vox be spewing some grade A acephobic bullshit.

I don’t think I’ll ever forgive old tumblr for the shit it did to the asexual movement.
The fact some people just moved on from that by deleting posts, accounts, side blogs but never apologising or doing anything to mend the harm they caused speaks volumes.
Some people are still active to this day, some who actively posted against asexual people, who made hate blogs for them, who liked and reblogged every single post under the tags, who only ever liked 3 posts but still supported them.
There’s no apologies on the internet; no fully true ones especially not on public socials like tumblr, TikTok, twitter and instagram (I’ll give leeway to platforms like discord as it’s a more inclosed community). So while I wouldn’t have accepted the apology it would have been nice to fucking receive one

Me when people dismiss Neil’s canonical sexuality just cause they want him to fuck every male character in the series:
