I think what gets under my skin about people acting like Dan and Phil are intentionally trying to exclude people from the tour or merch drops, is that it shows they don’t know anything about how international markets work or how DnP are at the whims of them.

The thing that’s so brain rotted about the so called “leftist” internet is the CONSTANT use of individualistic thinking to bully people. When a big part of being a leftist is trying to breakdown that kind of thinking. There could be a million reasons why they can’t ship things truly globally. We live in a world that disproportionately excludes the global south. DnP live inside the same system that we do. They only have so much motion as Internet celebrities.

From my understanding it’s that the shipment company they’re using doesn’t do wider international shipping, or it would be too expensive, and they could be caught up in a contract that lasts for X amount of years or for X amount of money. Or it could just be the same thing with the tour “you don’t have enough fans in this region. We won’t ship there.” Business can be a real crapshoot guys.

Is it okay to be upset that you can’t get their merch? Yes. Is it understandable to want DnP to be more transparent about the how and why they can’t do certain things? Yes.

Is it reasonable to tweet hateful things at them or snakily implying they hate their international fans? Absolutely not.

Dan and Phil are just two guys at the end of the day. Two guys who’ve been open about doing a lot of things in house. There are going to be blind spots and errors and I just wish when things like this happens we can act like adults and not cannibalize each other or DnP.

okay so i understand that daleks are one of the main brand icons of doctor who, and that they represent a certain breed of fascist thought that can never be fully stamped out, but. :/

i think im ready for the daleks to die.

daleks have been central to doctor who from the very beginning (the second ever episode, the daleks, and season 2’s the dalek invasion of earth), embodying fear, hate, imperialism, and the darker sides of our own nature - but it seems that, for a while now, their continued existence has been maintained solely by the doctor’s mercy and/or ineptitude ??? which sucks as a theme imo

a great example is remembrance of the daleks, a seventh doctor story from 1988 - yes, the one where the doctor blows up skaro. or, davros fires a device the doctor boobytrapped at skaro’s sun, which goes supernova and destroys every dalek in that region of space. it’s pretty baller. anyway! davros and a few daleks hop in an escape pod and fuck off, and the doctor just lets them. k.

(skaro’s destruction was later ‘corrected’ by widely-detested EDA author john peel in war of the daleks, which is unhyperbolically the worst book i’ve ever read, and thus disregarded! but this heretical text explains that the planet was a decoy named antalin. it’s awful yeah. i tried to warn you)

exhibit b: evolution of the daleks (2007). ten confronts dalek caan, the sole survivor of the cult of skaro, at the top of the empire state building. the daleks have just created and annihilated a slave race of pig people, and it’s horrible to watch. you get the feeling that they’ve done this millions of times all across the universe, because they canonically have. they are inherently imperialist, racist, and genocidal. the doctor knows this.

and the doctor’s response is basically “killing you would mean that I commit genocide, so let’s just hang out and have a conversation.”

dalek caan gets away.

and you’ll never guess where he goes. that’s right! he hops the time lock and grabs davros, who escaped in remembrance of the daleks!!! and they make a bunch of new dalek babies together, out of davros’ gross old flesh. it’s a tentacle fest.

so he was right. killing dalek caan would’ve been a genocide- but because he didn’t, now there are ten thousand genocides. a clear improvement!

exhibit d: victory of the daleks (2010).

after a couple of false starts, the daleks manage to make more daleks after tricking the doctor into confirming their species to open their own device (??? okay sure)- but then they trick him again with a robot scientist bomb that he failed to detect even after talking to the guy, and it’s just like…. fool the doctor once, shame on you, fool them twice? damn, you must be on the merch.

exhibit e: the witch’s familiar (2015).

the iconic ‘only other chair on skaro’ scene where twelve and davros chat on the rebuilt dalek home world - super fun, so fun i forgot how the doctor folded like a house of cards. davros, the genocidal maniac, wants to live another day to see a pretty sunrise, so the doctor *checks notes* gives him some artron energy? that can’t be right, wh- oh- oh, but it’s fine because it affects all daleks, and through some contrived science magic, they all ‘learn the concept of mercy.’ on accident.

and it changed nothing. later stories retcon this. i’m too tired to even think about resolution, revolution, or eve of the daleks right now, but those episodes only further cemented my malaise regarding the doctor’s apparent complacency.

again and again, the daleks depend on the doctor’s mercy, and they get it, and they WIN- and it feels like the moral is that they should be eliminated like an unthinking, unfeeling virus, but the doctor is just too compassionate or inept for the job. certainly not the first doctor to lose to a virus, but perhaps the first to do so willingly.

beyond a loss in revenue, i can’t imagine why the doctor couldn’t destroy the daleks, or why they wouldn’t want to - there was a point when, allegedly, “the time lord’s continuity could not survive without the daleks” (“neverland” audio), but i think the weight and relevance of that harry potter type threat has long since passed.

so… it might be time to put the daleks away, for now. sure, they can come back as a concession to the persistence of fascist ideology, but watching the doctor lose or win to fascism for seemingly arbitrary (always sentimental) reasons isn’t really satisfying. the show addresses that daleks cause untold suffering, but again and again the only obstacle to no suffering is the doctor, who can’t get their shit together! it’s killing me.

This whole debacle makes me think of ao3. It’s a free website (of course it’s by fans for fans and not a business) that is so good that when they ask for donations the exceed their goal every single time, they even have merch and people still just give them money because they love the site. Quality free content and profit are not exclusive from each other. If your consumers are happy you will make money no matter the price of your product.

I understand production costs and all that, but I feel like they have been making bad business decisions for a while. The distribution of viewers per video is very uneven and not all of their content popular. I can’t justify paying for a streaming service if I’m not sure of the quality and amount of content I’m going to have access to. Sure, I love puppet history and I guess I enjoy mystery files, but would I pay only for those two? No way. I don’t subscribe to HBO just to watch Rick and Morty, sure it helps that it’s in there, but I also like the DC animated series, and I could watch game of thrones I guess, and the nanny, and the Barbie movie, and Harry Potter. And a lot of shows and movies with different actors and directors and production companies.

And the people comparing this to Dropout don’t get that they have a lot of content that makes the subscription not feel like a waste of money.

Artist should get paid and be allowed to art in peace, but you can’t ask casual viewers to pay for your airplane tickets, your Tesla, your cameras, your new background and your A grade wagyu gold covered stake in china when not even your more loyal fans watch all of your content. It feels greedy and out of touch with American economy right now, but also with your international fans who can’t pay because of region restrictions or because 6 dollars in other countries is not a reasonable price for anything.

I hope they grow and that their creative dreams come true, but I feel like it will be incredibly difficult to accomplish that after the way they went about it (abruptly and with no kind of preparation) and the response they got.

Chapter 14: Ever thought of callin’ when you’ve had a few? ‘Cause I always do.

It wasn’t entirely surprising how quickly you got everyone in your group to agree to go to the game later, although you were expecting Logan to be against the idea since he hates the sport, but apparently his want to see you and Miguel get together was stronger than his hate for hockey since he immediately agreed.

You were currently in your 4-way shared Airbnb getting ready for the hockey game, having already been kicked out of the dorms by the university despite there being a game tonight, which didn’t make sense in your opinion, but that’s neither here nor there. Usually you would usually travel back home during the breaks, but due to you and Logan participating in regionals this year, you had to stay in Nueva York, you had both decided to stay in one rather than a regular hotel since it would be cheaper, Kate and Xavier tagged along for emotional support.

“I’ve never actually attended a hockey game, what do you wear? Probably a crew neck or a hoodie right? It’s still an ice rink. Maybe I should wear school merch, ugh but the only school related jacket I have is our skating team varsity jackets.” Kate, Logan and Xavier just stayed silent as they watched you rambled on, their faces full of amusement (and from Logan just the slightest bit of annoyance) as they watched you freak out , glancing at you every once and a while as you kept pacing between the hallway bathroom and your room as you attempted to get ready for the game despite it not starting for another 3 and a half hours.

“You should have asked Miguel for one of his spare jerseys.” Logan teased as he wandered towards your doorframe and leaned against it as he watched you dump your suitcase over your bed. How the hell do you not have a red or blue jacket??

“Shut up Logan.”

“You’re overthinking this, you know.”

“What? No I’m not.” Oh, you totally overthinking this.

“He’s got you whipped.” Logan snickered, shaking his head as he crossed his arms over his chest. You in response threw a pillow in his direction, which he hit to dodge.

“You’re not funny Logan. Do you have a school sweatshirt I can borrow?” You said, releasing a deep exhale through your nose as you turn to look at him.

“I think I think I have a spear.” He replied as he picked up the pillow off the floor and tossed it on your bed. “I just don’t want Miguel trying to beat me up over you wearing my jacket.” He added as he walked over to where you were standing, stopping once he was right next to you.

“He wouldn’t, I promise. I won’t let him.”

“This is actually kinda fun to watch.” Xavier said to Kate, as she glanced over to you before back at the rink. The spiders were currently in the lead 2 to 1 and it was about to be the end of the first period, a little less than 6 minutes before the timer reaches zero.

“It’s totally scary though.” Kate said as she took a sip of her soda, you nodding in agreement.

“So glad I went into figure skating…” Logan muttered as his eyes widened, an almost horrified look spreading on his face, but he couldn’t look away. You would have giggled at his reaction if you didn’t feel the same way. Both sports are dangerous just in their own ways.

You turned your head as you saw Peter pass the punk to Miguel, who you believed was playing center, (you watched one of those 10 minute crash course videos on how hockey works before you came to the show because whether if you were aware of it or not, Logan was right about you being whipped already) as he was making his way closer to the goal, when one of the players on the opposite team came crashing into him back first. The other player’s elbow “accidentally” hit Miguel’s face, and Miguel was knocked back, landing against the wall as the player on the opposite side took the puck.

“What the fuck-.” You muttered under your breath in shock, cringing slightly as you watched Miguel’s hand going up to cover his mouth, his face wincing in pain, your hands going up to mirror his actions. As soon as Miguel’s hand made contact with his mouth, a timeout was called. The spider's couch went up to Miguel first, talked to him for a bit before walking over to where the referee was. You couldn’t hear anything from either interaction, so you just watched silently, ignoring your friends glances towards you, keeping your eyes on Miguel, worried written on your face. Miguel’s eyes shift around the arena, before finding yours, you can tell he’s trying not to cringe as much as soon as your eyes meet, as if he didn’t want you to see him in pain.

Once you two were looking at each other, you took your hand off your face and mouthed an “are you okay?” to which Miguel took his hand off his mouth and gave you a thumbs up and a smile, but his smile didn’t free you of your worries, in fact, it made it worse, before you could stop your body, you let out a gasp as your eyes widened. His mouth was bleeding, and it was bleeding a lot.

His expression seemed to falter a bit upon seeing your reaction, to what though you couldn’t really tell. Panic? Worry? You don’t know. Other then the initial pain he felt when the elbow made contact with his face, Miguel wasn’t really worried about his injury despite the metallic taste filling his mouth, he didn’t feel anything break or a tooth fall out, sure he’ll probably be sore from a few hours and will have to clean his mouth guard, maybe think about getting a cage instead (this wasn’t the first time someone has elbowed him in the face during a game) but he knows it’s a part of the sport, that’s what he signed up for when he started playing. So why was it that seeing the concern on your face made his chest tighten with guilt? Miguel didn’t have another time to dwell on his thoughts before his coach sent him to the locker room to clean up.

Miguel felt like he was going to go insane if he didn’t get the taste of blood out of his mouth. He’s already gone through 4 sticks of gum and had to refill his water bottle twice in an attempt to flesh out the coppery taste from his senses. He let out a frustrated huff of annoyance as he spat out another piece of gum and brought his water up to his mouth and took a big swig, gargling it a bit before spitting it out in a sink and finally started to make his way out, his bag with his gear slung over his shoulder as he exited the locker room. They had won the game luckily, but Miguel wasn’t as happy as he wanted to be about the victory, maybe it was because he was still mad about getting elbowed in the mouth, maybe it was because he had to be benched due to him getting injured so early in the game or maybe it’s because out of all the games he played this season, of course he got injured at the one you were attending.

Most of the team has gone home already, some stragglers were left, two of those being Miguel and Peter, and Miguel wouldn’t be surprised if you had left already, he probably would have if he was in your shoes. Maybe you got the ick from him now after watching him get hit in the face, and he would be back in square one all over again, the thought was more painful then the hit to his mouth. His mind was running a mile a minute as we made his way down the hall and towards the main exit to head to his car where Peter was most likely already waiting for him. As he walked, he was trying to keep his thoughts on his sore jaw and about the game, trying to to not think about how you saw him get hit, or how your face twisted in disgust at the sight of his bloody smile after you asked him if he alright, the embarrassment and angry he felt when after he came back from the locker room Coach Turner benched him, how-

“I should turn around and wait till she leaves…” he told himself under his breath, but his feet continued to move him closer to where both of you stood near Miguel’s car. Once he was a big closer Peter noticed him first, since your back was facing him, talking to him about something he couldn’t quite pick up on.

“Ah speak of the devil.” Peter said with a smirk, one you would haven’t thought much of, but Miguel knew that there was a smug undertone to it, as if he was right about something. “Sup Mig, we were just talking about you.” He continued as you turned to face him, your eyes widened for a split second as they scanned Miguel’s face, as if checking for more injuries, before you took a step closer to him, you hand instantly going to rest gently on his arm.

“Hey! Oh my god, are you okay? That hit looked brutal, god that jerk.” Miguel didn’t know if it was the way your tone and face went from concerned to annoyed as you spoke, or the way you hand went traveled from his arm to his chin, lightly gripping it and moving his face from side to side gently, mirroring his actions earlier in the day when he did the same to you after he bumped into you at lunch, but god did you make his heart burst with warmth.

“I’m okay ice princess, calm down.” Miguel assured you with a small smile, a chuckle escaping his swollen lips as he took your hand and brought it down away from his face, giving it a light squeeze as he did so. Neither of you have realized that Peter had slipped away into Miguel's car.

“Okay, okay good.” You sighed and nodded, glad to know he was relatively okay.

“Didn’t mean to get you all worried Princesa.”

You scoff, taking your hand away from him and lightly hit his chest.

“God, you always gonna say something stupid, huh?” You rolled your eyes, but your tone couldn’t hide the smile forming on your face.

“Of course I do, ice princess, how else am I supposed to annoy you?”

To say you were nervous was a complete understatement, you have never been more terrified for a skating performance in your life. It was your first time performing for regionals after all.

You had barely gotten a wink of sleep, a few hours at most, but you mostly spent the night twisting and turning, glancing at your phone to look at the time, before letting out a frustrated groan and pulling your sheets up a bit higher in an attempt to get yourself to finally sleep. But your attempts were mostly futile, finally throwing in the towel around 5:00 in the morning, deciding it would be better to spend your time Getting ready for the day you’ve been anticipating rather then attempting to get another hour of sleep you know you won’t get.

By the time the clock had struck 5:30, you'd already packed your equipment in your bag, and had loaded it in Logan’s car, not surprised when you saw his back already packed, before making your way to the kitchen to make yourself breakfast, something light but enough to keep you full till lunch.

“You couldn’t sleep either?” Logan asked when you saw him enter the kitchen, two Starbucks cups hand, passing you one as he took a sip of his, his voice low as to not wake up Kate or Xavier. You let out a hum and nodded your head as you took the one he handed you and took a sip, the caffeine making you wince as you feel it try to wake your body up a bit.

“We should hit the road soon, coach Kavinsky said we should be at the rink by 6 so we can make it in time for check in and make it for our off ice warm up.” You said as you stood up from your seat, putting your dishes in the sink.

“God, I didn't know our short program would take so long…” Logan huffed as you both threw your figure skating jackets over your performance outfits for the first half of the competition, as you both rushed down the arenas long hallway being careful to avoid running into some of the other pairs as you made your way back to the locker rooms to change.

“Did you see Kate and her boyfriend?”

“No. Did you see Miguel and his friend?”

“No. I didn’t get enough time to look around the seats to find them.”

“Same.”

You both dropped the conversation once you both reached your respective locker rooms. Quickly changing out of the first dress and slipped the second one on, it was a full black dress with long mesh sleeves and smoke black mesh on your sides, being sure to be careful with the gemstones that were placed around the waistline and the chest, and the black feathers that accented the back in order to look like a pair of small wings as you slip your jacket back on, before going to change your lip color and eye makeup.

You were stressing hard, hell, you were surprised you were able to apply your eyeliner with a steady hand. You didn’t need to rush, since you and Logan weren’t going back on the ice for a while since they still had a few short programs to go through before you were supposed to go back on, but you tended to rush when you were nervous. Once you finished fixing your makeup you went to touch up your hair, placing two feathered wing hair clips that pinned flat against your head to match the ones of your costume, one of each side of your head. As you were placing some more bobby pins in your hair to help keep the small wings in place you heard your phone ding next to where you had placed it next to all your supplies. Once placing the last bobby pin in your hair, you grabbed your phone to open it and look at the notification.

Fuck how your heart skipped a beat.

You didn’t even need to ask who it was to know it was Miguel, although you never gave him your phone number, so you were a bit curious as to who he had asked for it, but for now you’d have to push that to the back of your mind and focus at the more important upcoming task at hand.

“Next skaters going for the free skate, (Y/F/N) and Logan Martinez.”

A pause as the two go into their starting positions before Swan Lake by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky begins to fill the arena, the two skaters cladded in black, the gemstones on their costumes, despite their small size, shimmered brightly from the lights. No sounds other than the music filling the rink and the occasional swish from the skates slashing the ice.

You might be representing the black swan but you’ve never looked more like an angel in Miguel’s eyes. Despite the tragic atmosphere that the performance was depicting, you looked absolutely heavenly to him, he shouldn’t be surprised, this is what you love to do, what you wanted to do for a living. But he’s never got the chance, no starch that, the privilege of watching you do a routine in all of your full glory. He’s caught glimpses of you and Logan doing both routines during practices, but that was different, you wouldn’t portraying the emotions like you were right now, you wouldn’t wear the performance outfit like you were now, and the energy you were putting into the routine was far more grand than when you would practice back on the uni’s arena. He could already see himself watching from home as you and Logan were representing the country in the Olympics, but then again, maybe it was just his heart talking,being overzealous. He didn’t know if it was the performance or just your presence that he couldn’t tear his gaze from, but he wasn’t even sure if he wanted to look away in the first place.

You and Logan were selected to advance to sectionals.

Hello again! This is a small one shot that I wrote a long time ago and only now edited and cleaned it up so I could post it 😅

The bootleg merch mention comes from a convo that happened at @evtraininguniversity 's tumblr, here's a part of it but there was a lot more talked about at the time!!! Also go read Ev's stuff if you haven't already, she's great!!!

“Ok. Let me see if I got it. You still don’t know exactly how, but you were thrown in the past.”

“Correct.”

“Of another region entirely.”

“Right again.”

“Somehow you lost your memories in the way there.”

“Hm hm.”

“So you lived there, until a random kid brought Arceus to you and he gave you your memory back.”

“Yup.”

“And then, with your memory back, you asked to be sent back here after saying your goodbyes.”

“You are a very good listener, Emmet.”

“Shut the fuck up, this is the most bizarre thing you’ve ever told me and yet I have no better explanation. I could say that the old timey clothes you got in a museum or from reenactors, the destruction to your uniform from living in the wild for years, but how the fuck else would you get those extinct pokémon?”

“Guess you’ll have to believe me, then, asshole.”

“I didn’t say I didn’t want to, but you are talking about fucking Arceus, over here.”

“I guess that is fair, I had the same reaction before seeing the supposed creator with my own eyes.”

“Calling him “supposed” wouldn’t be heresy, then?”

“I fought him and won, I don’t care.”

“You fought him without me?!”

“I knew you would say that, so technically they owe me for the mess they put me through, I didn’t want to go to Hisui but apparently I had to, because technically that had already happened? Something about time paradoxes. Regardless, their influence made sure that no one connected my image in the history books with Subway Boss Ingo, so no one would alert you or try to get me back before I was supposed to return. I didn’t choose any of that, though, so after winning I got them to agree to fight you too, next time we played the Azure Flute in Spear Pillar.”

Emmet punched the air in excitement. He had the look he always did when going through strategies on his head, until a thought made him get back on track.

“Right, so, assuming you really did spend these last three years in ancient Sinnoh,” Ingo huffs in amusement at his brother persistent disbelief, “does that mean you know why they don’t have a rail system?”

That grabs his attention and suddenly he is furious.

“Professor Laventon kept making incredible remarks about trains and how helpful they are, I added my own agreement and yet! The construction corps were so prideful! They didn’t want to look into the system to see if they could adopt it as well! They kept saying that those “metal beasts” could not be safe!” His hands in constant movement, following his rage. “And now, the kid that helped me, told me that they have been starting construction in Jubilife City and that Sinnoh now regrets how long it took to adopt the rail system!”

“Oh, I did hear news of that a few years ago, I had bigger worries then.”

That gave Ingo’s rage pause.

“I’m sorry, Emmet, I wish-“

“Nope! Can’t change the past, it is what it is, do not go down those tracks.”

“Did your therapist tell you that?”

“More like he drilled it into my head.”

“I’m happy to hear it.”

“We can talk about me later. Don’t give me that look, I know I can’t avoid your older brother tendencies forever. But, that is why you want to go back there, then? You want to supervise the construction?”

“I don’t want to go back exactly, I want to give them our expertise on the subject, we might not have started the subway and train systems in Unova but we did expand on it. I also can not say I told you so to Kamado, so I want to do that to the closest descendent of his that I can find.”

“You are such a petty bitch sometimes.”

“Go fuck yourself, Emmet.”

Despite the jabs, that were all friendly at the end of the day, Ingo loved listening to his brother snickering laugh. Oh, how he missed his favorite problem while walking through the vast expanse of Hisui.

"Oh, and before I forget, I did get something in Hisui that reminded me of you." He leaned over the arm of the couch to reach the basket he had brought with him. "Emmet, I want you to meet Impostermet. I hope you two will play nicely."

Emmet left a bark of a laugh, he couldn't believe that, depite being stuck in the past, his brother was still able to find their bootleg merch.

"Impostergo is a part of a set now! I can not believe you, Ingo!"

"Since we're already on the subject, you didn't burn The Blanket, did you?"

"I think Crustle found it in a day he was very mad and it became rags, sadly, you can find my teeth around the house, I use it to clean."

"That's a terrifying sentence Emmet."

"You have no one to blame but yourself. I never told you to buy that fucking monstrosity in the first place."

"Oh, how terrible my brother is, I buy a gift of his likeness to bestow upon him and that's how he thanks me."

"If I wasn't so happy to have you back I would fucking kill you right now."

"As if you ever could, I'm the bigger twin after all."

"We're identical, you fuck!"

And that's how they ended up wrestling on the floor of their living room, Ingo having his brother in a headlock while Emmet kicked and refused to surrender. Eelektross glared at his trainer and his brother's antics, before giving a slight shock to the pile of squirming limbs, making them release each other with pained yelps.

"Eelektross is right, we have far more important things to do."

"Eelektross is always right! He is the best boy! We need to go to a police station and then do a looooot of paperwork to prove you're alive and to get you your job back."

"Maybe I should have stayed in Hisui."

"Oh no, you're not running away from the paperwork!"

"I think I can hear Sneasler calling me, Emmet, I have to go."

"Come back here, Ingo!"

"Well, who arrives first at the station is free from paperwork!"

"You're already at the door, that's not fair! Ingo! Ingo, stop!"

They tied at the end, as Emmet saw Ingo was about to win, and decided to tackle his brother inside the station, making them end up crossing the threshold at the same time. Ingo could only wheeze as his brother fell on top of him and crushed all of his precious organs, only moving when the depot agents came over, helping them stand up and properly welcoming back the siblings to their home, finally together once more.

Okay, so no doubt you probably saw my spam of likes there on the hockey au lineup. but its just so amazing and just the most beautiful work of art i've ever read. i'll probably come back with a bunch of ideas, but i don't want to be overbearing or seem commanding. but imagine with hockey au midoriya where you have a figure skating competition and he brings the team. and theres just this group in the stands that clearly stands out

like it’s the first time in your relationship that hockey au!midoriya has come to support you at a figure skating competition because their season is over and aizawa eased up on practices so he’s super excited to see you in your element since you’re always coming to his games. deku will like pack up early after a session and the boys ask him where he’s headed :(

hockey au!midoriya getting all shy when he tells the team he’s out of town for the weekend to support you at your regionals and they all beg him to let them come along because you always take care of the team, bring them snacks and waters and teach them stretches/exercises to keep all their joints and muscles healthy. deku has to call you to at midnight the night before the first round to ask you to grab some spare tickets :(!!

now just imagine these big burly boys showing up to a rink full of pretty girls who are flexible beyond belief— sequins glistening and nearly blinding half the team, bakugou complaining that he can’t fucking see, kirishima desperate to get some snacks for the occasion and a good seat to cheer you on, kaminari and shindou are probably sniffing out numbers they can get from girls and shouto just wants some warm merch to wear.

hockey au midoriya who spots your coaches helping you to stretch, fluttering around you to make sure your costume with his jersey number embroidered into its skirt is in place. “i would tell you break a leg but i don’t think that’s considered good luck in this sport.” he breathes, freckles rising on his cheeks as he smiles down at you now in his arms— as charming as the day you first met.

“i don’t think so either,” you hum and stand on the tip of blade on your skate so you can brush your lips over his. and then deku kisses you, large hand on the small of your back, guiding you into the warmth of his chest— a good luck kiss. the team lets out a rather loud series of cheers which earn them glares from the 12 year olds in the junior section, those of which are rather intimidating.

when you skate out for your programme you immediately see your boys amongst your coaches and family, your smile for the show even brighter than before— gliding across the ice as you hear their cheers above the rest and even the music. for some reason; shouto knows all the names to your moves, the triple axel, the lutz, your sweeping camel spin.

hockey au midoriya’s eyes fill with tears, proud ones at the emotions you’re able to pour into figure skating because he never knew something on the ice could be so intricate and beautiful :( and the team have to stop him from running out into the rink when your programme comes to an end and you wave up to the boys with a proud smile.

CPN : stock photo clues care of xiao laoshi 🔍

all of this is clowning and connecting things that may or may not be related. that’s just how cpns work. if you don’t like it then scroll along. if some things don’t make sense to you then it doesn’t. don’t take this too seriously. i’m trying to add as much clues and cpn as i can but it will be virtually impossible to catch every single thing that will be talked about.

i’ve already talked about the same/similar furniture here cause that was so rude of them. lol. the photo in question for WYB was from his oasis post last 4/16/2019 and was about BAPE’s F1 merch. There are two other photos from that post so you can see more of the sofa in question. GG’s looks like it doesn’t have the backrest, but it seems to be the type that’s removable. I think the term is modular furniture or something like that. the wall behind too ( GG’s ) is similar to WYB’s ( p2 ) 1- I know it’s not the most unique paint shade in the world but you know what i mean. Also GG’s is 2022 so that’s some years apart and the look of it may change. what’s sus about this is it’s not the first time we CPNd them in the same place.

P1: Wonder what this is? It’s called roasted brain flower, apparently. As per baidu search it’s described as : A traditional snack in Sichuan and Chongqing. It is roasted with pig's brain mixed with sea pepper powder, pepper powder and other seasonings. Now where did we see this featured before? In TTXS and WYB samples it. TTXS does a lot of these things, trying everything from different regions so this is not as CPN as we think. Also one popular restaurant that serves this has WYB’s face in their store because of that TTXS episode. Coincidentally, XZ also has a signature memorabilia from the same store.

I won’t talk about the jianguo photo anymore cause it’s the big 🍭 here. and let’s appreciate how cute this princess is! her cheeks!

P2: Of course, he will use this type of effect so we don’t know exactly what it is. Good thing turtles are detectives lol. The first guess is that it’s the titanic lego set because there was a LRLG fake rumor before that seemed to talk about it. it was about purchasing something that is expensive and the word “ship” was mentioned. At the time, this titanic set was out.

I mean, the lights/shapes and all that seem the same. This would be okay if GG was known to play with lego but he’s not. We all know who is tho. Either this is a photo taken by GG when WYB built it and he decided to share it a stock photo. Or this from WYB and he ( GG ) edited it.

Another more logical guess is it’s a night cruise ship that goes around Chongqing and you can eat there too. It’s one of those things that I can’t tell if GG is doing this because he knows he can get away with it. Any sensible / casual fan would think it’s some cruise ship or whatever. Focus on jianguo and his selfie. It’s only us tbh that would think about the Lego.

P3: The freakin hand held fan of destiny lol. We’ve all seen the tape he had on it during the WDB wrap up. We thought that it was broken or it may be a marker, tho the more popular guess is it was damaged. Now he’s using something that is in good condition. CPN is, he got Yibo’s. because WYB was seen using a really small one lol. Or maybe WYB bought a new one for him. Who knows. This hand held fan truly is one legendary piece of turtle history 😂😂😂

P4: AHHHH THE SELFIE, where he is wearing airpods when he answered he prefers wired headphones. sure. Also yes we can see your apple watch. The watch all turtles are eyeing between the two of them. They are both endorsing watches GG ( zenith ) and WYB ( casio ) so why are you both showing that off? 😂😂😂

The peace sign is also a match to Bobo’s — which was something we CPNd ( sort of ). Yes it’s a common gesture when someone takes a photo but whatever.

a/n - This is my first avengers fic! I’m gonna make it into a mini(?) series, I wrote this in my notes at 3am lool, I hope you guys like it

Warnings - Angst, short haired bucky (yes it’s a warning bc that man is too fine)

Summary - After a bad breakup you’re forced to move in with your brother Steve at the avengers compound, will old relationships rekindle the fire in you that was once lost?

You cannot be happening. You had just woken up way too hungover and not at all prepared for the confrontation waiting for you downstairs. Drinking for 4 days in a row does a number on you and your mom was sick of watching you drown your sorrows and has finally found a way to ‘help you’.

“You can’t just ship me away because you don’t wanna deal with me anymore!”

“Y/N I cannot keep watching you destroy your life, you’re going to stay with your brother, it’ll be good for you. I know how you feel. It’s final.”

The salty taste of your tears on your lips make you somehow feel more nauseous than you already do. The partying, drinking, drugs, all of it is a way to cope with the man that broke your stupid heart in two.

He knew how much you loved him, he finally admitted he was with you purely because your brother was Captain America. Your high school sweetheart was a lie, are you meant to be frolicking through daisies?

“You have no idea how I feel right now, NO GOD DAMN IDEA! I’m not going, I’m an adult, and I’m not leaving.”

She sighs, exasperatedly running her hands across her face. You know this is coming from a place of love and worry on her behalf but right now all you feel is betrayal and anger running through your veins like fire.

A small brown envelope addressed to you is slid across the table, looking down you snatch it, turning away to storm out towards your car.

Head against the steering wheel, you wonder how you got to this point in your life exactly. How does one man manage to pull the wool over your eyes the way Ryan did, usually you can read people like a book.

“Stupid! Stupid idiot!” You scream and bang your fists against the wheel until your hands go numb. A feeling you’re well accustomed to these days.

You rip open the envelope, terrified for what could be awaiting you inside.

A dry chuckle left your lips, the salt hitting your tongue from the tears shed in the screaming match that had just occurred in your dining room. One way ticket?

“I can’t believe she’s getting rid of me.”

Packing your bags proves to be slow and torturous, your mom standing in the door way, throwing suggestions towards you as you chuck a handful of underwear into the open luggage.

“You know, this is for your own good, you’ll be able to see Steve and James again. I know you miss them too, you need this.”

“It seems like you know what I need so there’s no point giving my opinion on this anymore, you’ve already made your decision mom.”

Out of the corner of her eye you see her hang her head. Shame maybe? No, she made her bed and she has to lie in it now. Maybe once you’re gone she’ll realise she made a mistake. Being around Steve will be just another reminder of your heart ache.

You close your eyes as the sound of her footsteps dissipate down the stairs.

You know you can’t blame him, or mom, but that doesn’t stop the rage surging through your body every time something reminds you of what’s happened.

The Captain America T-shirt staring at you as it sits on your bedroom floor. You bought it the day Steve’s merch came out officially. You bask in the memory of how proud you are of him for a moment before the memories of the last two months come rushing back to you and leave a fiery pit in the bottom of your stomach.

Trudging down the stairs, suitcase in one hand, your phone in the other and a bag clinging to your left shoulder that feels like a ton of bricks.

Your mom eyes you from the kitchen table. The same place you seem to be screaming at each other every morning. Closing her book she stands up and walks towards you, a small smile on her face before she opens her arms, signalling you to hug her.

You swallow your pride and wrap your arms around her, tears welling in your eyes for the second time this morning.

“I’m gonna miss you, try not to sass your brother too hard and give him a massive hug from me. I love you Y/N/N.” she mumbles into your hair. Pulling back and placing her hand softly onto your cheek, wiping a couple stray tears that managed to escape your eyes .

You nod curtly, adjusting your backpack and walking through the door towards your car. You feel her eyes lingering on you as you chuck your belongings into the trunk. The thoughts of ‘accidentally’ missing your plans are cut off by your phone buzzing in your back pocket.

Dumbass: see you soon dude

Dumbass: You’ll see us when you get off the plane, hope you appreciate the sign. It was a group effort

You roll your eyes at the message, imagining the Avengers with glitter and sharpies, making a cardboard sign to welcome you back into New York.

You: Better be great considering i’m being forced against my will to come

“Y/N Welcome back!” The sign reads, accompanied by swirls, bright colours and what seems like steve’s shield, alas badly drawn. Steve and Bucky stand with the sign above their heads, grinning from ear to ear when they spot you in the crowd of people clambering to get to their respective families.

Bucky takes a couple steps forward and flings his arms around you, picking you up in a bear hug for what seems to feel like a life time.

“Let me down you oath!!” You squeal, wiggling around in his super human grip until he finally lowers you to the ground.

“Good to see you too kid.”

You groan at the nickname. “Ugh don’t call me that, I’m an adult now Buck.”

He lets out a chuckle as Steve walks towards you and claps you on the back, the famous Steve Rogers smile still on his face as he takes your bags.

“I missed you Y/N/N”

“Oh and by the way, you’ll always be our little sister.”

The word ‘Our’ leaves a bitter taste on your tongue. Your childhood crush on Bucky never left, only simmered once he moved away, faded even more so into the background when you were infatuated with Ryan.

This is going to be a long trip.

Arcane Background Lore/Easter Eggs (Episode 4)

I was half tempted to jump straight to EP 6 just to draw parallels between stuff in that episode and the teaser that came out earlier today. But nope, sticking to the script, you’ll just have to wait until Friday for that breakdown.

The hexgates are a new addition to League lore (they literally made their first appearance in the game this morning), however they are sorta similar to how Jayce’s “Acceleration Gate” ability works in-game.

Jinx calls these things “Flame Chompers” and one of her abilities in League is throwing them out like landmines. They even make the same tak-tak-tak sound.

Jinx pistol is clearly based on her shock blaster from League, though this one just fires bullets, whereas the shock blaster fires lightning using what appears to be a hex crystal. Maybe that’s how she ends up weaponizing it (probably not though).

Jinx’s minigun is called Pow-Pow (you know like the nickname Vi gave her… this is fine), and in the fight with the Firelights we actually see her use every single one of her in-game abilities, except for her ultimate, which is a really big rocket and what I’m actually guessing she’s gonna use the stable hex crystal for.

This little critter is called a Poro, and yes they have been turned into cheaply made official League of Legends©®™ merch.

Assuming you have watched the show’s intro, you probably already know that Vi is going to be picking up the Atlas gauntlets before the season is over. However, what you might not know is that the hex claw is Viktor’s signature weapon (along with the hex core) in league. Will be interesting to see if he ends up using it in the show some way 🤔

Yes it is kinda weird that Piltover beat cops wear frilly above-the-knee dresses on patrol but: 1) Their job is beating people up for being poor, you don’t need practical clothes for that and 2) it’s a tasteful-ish callback to Caitlyn’s original design where she strode into combat wearing a frilly micro dress, a push-up bra, a striped tophat and a double digit amount of belts. Old league designs are gloriously atrocious.

This mural appear to be portraying Taric, who tl:dr is a demi-god from the Targon region representing love, life, kindness and beauty. And honestly, I do think its kinda rad that they designed a muscular yet effeminate man to embody that role – seriously before I realized I was a woman I gendered so hard with Taric.

This is the logo of the League of Legends themed metal band “Pentakill”.

Jayce title/nickname as “man of progress” is different from his title in league, where he’s called “The Defender of Tomorrow”.

Based on the teaser for part 3, it’s not random that councillor what’s-his-face mention the Noxians as a reason they can’t shut down trade until the hex gem is recovered.

Noxus is hard to explain briefly, they are not purely evil, but they’re not exactly good guys either. For now, what matters is that Noxus has a very big army, they control most of the land surrounding Piltover, and the only reason they haven’t conquered Piltover yet, is because Piltover hasn’t made itself a target.

Delaying shipments to Noxus because of internal problems could absolutely be the kind of thing that made Noxus send in the legion to resolve the matter.

While experimenting with the hex gem, Jinx is listening to her own theme song from League (Get Jinxed).

This outfit is also a call back to Caitlyn’s original design. Ignoring the spaghetti straps, the purple negligee/top thingy covers all the same parts of Caitlyn’s body as her original dress did, and the fabric even falls in strange ways to mimic frills.

Vi punching a wall is not just a subtle expression of her incredible lesbianism! It also references how in Vi’s original backstory, Caitlyn caught her robbing a bank after she used the atlas gauntlets to punch her way into the vault (if you’ve ever wondered why one of Vi’s abilities is called “Vaultbreaker” that’s why).

Seeing as the theme for today has been “Noxians” and “poorly aged female character designs”; lets on me introducing Noxus very own questionably dressed noble woman with disapproving parents: Miss Katarina du Coteau (Riot please give her a personality beyond “I want to win my father’s approval, and I’m in aggresively heterosexual love with Garen Crownsguard” I’m begging you.)

the day he realizes he likes you, it’s nothing out of the ordinary. you’re just hanging out together, convenience store runs like usual. but you tell him a quiet “thank you” and give him a small smile for buying you your favorite ice cream flavor or you say something like “i rlly like that jacket on u” and he ltrly can’t stop thinking abt it the whole way home and even before he sleeps. he wears more that jacket more when you hang out together and now he’s suddenly more focused on your smile or your teasing and he starts getting shy to teasingly wrap an arm around your shoulder like he usually does.

buying you a switch so you can play animal crossing together. visiting each other’s islands. gifting you apples or any fruit you want. trading items with you. making furniture together. spending hours decorating your own island. panicking on what to give you for your birthday. having to ask jungwon and sunoo to come with him to look for a present. buying you cute little merch from your favorite things for your birthday. purchasing gag gifts sometimes. keeping your gifts for him secure in a box he opens when he misses you. teaching you how to play fifa. laughter filling the room. giving up and just listening to music together again.

baking sweets but it turning out an absolute mess. giving it to the enhypen members instead. eating meals together at midnight. reaches high things on the shelves for you wordlessly (just instinct). both of you being too shy to initiate holding hands. sending each other memes at ungodly hours. random calls. occasional cuddling. lots of back hugs from riki (so you don’t see him blushing). his favorite spot to kiss is the top of your head. playing with your hands when you’re just laying together and talking. taking pictures of you. falling asleep on each other. glow in the dark stickers. connecting emotionally and understanding each other on a level no one else can go to. sharing a pair of earphones.

WE FINISHED SHIPPING OUT ALL PHYSICAL ORDERS (and other important info about your package)!

Hi guys! That’s right! On June 19th, we officially wrapped up packing more than 800 orders of To Hell + Back: A Destiel Anthology and immediately got drunk and partied actually we just talked about the impossible housing market in Vancouver. Barring three orders which were still missing phone numbers, by now everybody else should’ve received a tracking number with their book on the way! 

While we’re relieved that one of the hardest parts of the job is now done and over with, we know that our project is still far from over. With that in mind, we’d like to outline some important info via this handy FAQ about what to look out for as you wait for your package to arrive.

**When are digital books shipping out?**

Right now! As promised, now that we’ve finished shipping all physical books, we’re now switching our focus to digital copies. Please do note that we’ll be shipping digital books in batches, so not everybody is going to get their book at the same time. Why are we doing this? Because sometimes emails bounce and we want to make sure we catch those when they happen. By sending the books out in batches, we can better keep track of these issues.

We will be sending out digital books in the following order: Indiegogo/Big Cartel digital-only backers first, and then everybody else. We feel this order is fair because those of you who didn’t order a physical book have now been waiting a long time and we want to be sure you receive your books at the same time as people begin receiving their physical copies in the mail.

We aim to complete shipping all digital books no later than July 11, but we are working fast in the hopes of finishing by July 5th. 

**I didn’t receive my tracking number!** 

We had multiple checks in place to ensure that we covered every order*** so if you didn’t get an email from Canada Post, please check your junk/spam folder and see if your email might have landed there. If it’s not there either, please message us at tohellandbackanthology@gmail.com and we’ll resend you your tracking number. It’s always possible that there might’ve been a typo in the email address that we had on file for you, and if that was the case, then the email containing your tracking number wouldn’t have reached you. That said, even if Canada Post’s email didn’t reach you, you should have received an email from Indiegogo or Big Cartel also indicating your tracking number as we inputted tracking info into these sites too! 

*** A select few packages don’t have tracking numbers. If you purchased a tier that was a merch + E-book combo on Indiegogo (“I’d Rather Have You”; “Cursed or Not”; “I Always Come When You Call”) and live outside Canada and the United States, it was unfortunately not possible for us to generate a mailing label with a tracking number because your parcel was too small. Instead, please keep an eye on your mailbox. Your envelope parcel should reach you within 4-6 weeks.

**The only thing my tracking number says is ELECTRONIC INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY SHIPPER :( When will Canada Post pick up my package?**

All orders were picked up by Canada Post on June 21, 2021. If your tracking still doesn’t show ITEM PICKED UP BY CANADA POST, contact us immediately so we can figure out what’s going on.

**My package didn’t arrive! It says ITEM BEING RETURNED TO SENDER! Help!**

Please contact us IMMEDIATELY if this happens so that we can reroute your package before it’s too late. If the package is returned to us, we get charged for its shipping. Then subsequently shipping has to be paid again to resend it to you! That’s 3x shipping and it’s not good, for either us or you! Please don’t delay a second if this happens. Tell us right away because we are determined to get it back to you! In the words of @justholdingstill, “Over my dead body are they sending it back to us.”   

**When will I receive my package?**

From the point that your tracking displays the message Item picked up by Canada Post, you can expect that:

Canadians will generally receive their packages within 2-4 days, but it can be up to 7 days for remote regions. 

Americans will generally receive their packages within 10-14 days. This includes Guam and Puerto Rico.

All other countries will receive their packages within 4-12 weeks, but we have noticed that these packages are coming WAY faster than that, usually within 2 weeks. Down below is a breakdown of how quickly certain countries have received their fastest package:

Argentina: 15 days 

Finland: 8 days 

Germany: 10 days 

Italy: 16 days 

Mexico: 10 days 

Norway: 18 days 

Russia: 15 days 

United Kingdom: 21 days but so far, this seems to be an exception—only one package has arrived as of today.

All other countries: No package has reached its destination yet that we know of

**I have my tracking number but it’s not showing any movement! Is my package lost?**

Canadians and Americans should have regular updates to their tracking information every couple of days, but please be patient—things happen, packages get rerouted, or sometimes have to sit for a little bit in customs or a sorting facility before moving on to their final destination. 

Likewise for our international backers, you will most likely get regular updates to your tracking information until your package leaves Canada. At this point, you will receive the following notification: International item being forwarded to destination country. From this point onward, you won’t receive any updates to your tracking information for a long time. This is completely normal and it just means that your book is on a boat making its way to your country. After it arrives on shore, you may or may not get more tracking notifications—it will depend on how the next carrier processes your order. In general, for all the international countries that have received packages so far, they have had full tracking upon reaching shore.

**When is my package considered lost? What should I do then? How much time do I have to contact you?**

Canadians should wait 14 days from the day that their package is picked up by Canada Post before contacting us (unless your tracking says that it’s returning to sender, in which case contact us IMMEDIATELY so that we can reroute your package!).

Americans (including Guam and Puerto Rico) should wait 21 days from the day that their package is picked up by Canada Post before contacting us (unless your tracking says that it’s returning to sender, in which case contact us IMMEDIATELY so that we can reroute your package!).

All other nationalities should wait 12 weeks from the day that their package is picked up by Canada Post before contacting us (unless your tracking says that it’s returning to sender, in which case contact us IMMEDIATELY so that we can reroute your package!).

Please don’t contact us before that. We won’t be able to help you earlier than this. We have to talk to Canada Post about your parcel and they won’t take further steps until the waiting period is over.

Let us know where you’re an Indiegogo or Big Cartel backer

You have four weeks to contact us after the ‘package-is-officially-lost’ date. For example, if your book was picked up by Canada Post on June 1 and your home address is in a country other than the United States or Canada, you will wait 12 weeks to see if your package arrives. In this example, your package is officially considered lost on September 1. You have four weeks to let us know. In this example, you have until October 1 to tell us that your package is lost. If you tell us after October 1, unfortunately we can’t help you! We have a timeline in place for the official end date of our project and this deadline helps keep us on track to donate our remaining funds to our charity of choice, Wish Vancouver, in a timely manner. Not to mention we’ll be selling off our extra books and if you take too long to contact us, there might not be any remaining books for you to have a replacement!

**My tracking says that my package was delivered but I can’t find it!**

We encourage you first and foremost to ask your neighbours and anybody else who lives with you or around you to see if they might have received it for you. Please also contact your postal service to see if they might have held it for you at the post office. Finally, please keep an eye on your tracking and please try your absolute best to be there to receive it so that there is no chance of your package being stolen. If your tracking information declares that it was delivered, we consider it delivered on our end too and as much as we would like to help you, we’re not a business and as such, our funds are limited and we can’t be responsible for stolen packages. If your package does get stolen though, please let us know and we’ll talk to Canada Post regardless. All our books are insured and if Canada Post agrees to pay the insurance amount, we’ll put aside a book for you from our extras sale. You will still be responsible for paying the full amount of shipping. If Canada Post denies the insurance amount, we can still put a book aside for you but you will have to pay the full amount of the book and shipping. 

**Have any other questions that come to mind?**

We always strive to get back to you within 48 hours or less, but please note that justholdingstill, casthewise, and pray4jensen/60r3d0m are heading out on a mini vacation to Vancouver Island from June 30 to July 4 so you might not hear from us as promptly at that time! I completely forgot that a million years ago I added this YYH 100% Maji Battle promo thing on LINE (that I don't/can't do anything with aside from get periodic news spam about, due to regional settings etc.). But today I noticed a "LINE Voom" feed I had never looked at before, and randomly tapped over - then started laughing at these videos from back in July for the game's Summer Festival Battle Emperor gacha event.

'Louis Tomlinson Live From London'

A Special Event To Raise Money For FareShare And Other Charities

Louis Tomlinson today announces a special one-off live streamed show to be broadcast on 12th December.

The multi-camera event will feature Louis and his full band performing fully live, and will be available to watch for 28 hours, giving fans globally the chance to view at a time convenient to them.

Profits from the show will be split between FareShare, Crew Nation, Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice and Stagehand. Louis will also be donating money to his own touring crew, many of which have been out of work since March.

The show will feature songs from Louis' smash debut soloalbum 'Walls' (Top 3 in the UK and Top 10 in the USA), alongside a few surprises.

Louis says: "I was absolutely gutted to have to postpone my world tour this year as I was really looking forward to seeing all the fans. Performing for a live crowd is the most important thing to me, this live stream is a step back into that world and is something I can't wait to film. The live events sector is in crisis and the largely self employed workforce faces a long winter without work, many of them without any form of alternative financial support. Those that could find alternative work have done so; many can access enough Government support to survive for the next few months, so our focus is on those who have seen income drop to virtually nothing.

Stagehand is for those people, to provide grants that help to cover basic living expenses for the crew and their families. These grants are already helping to relieve the financial and mental burden of keeping a roof overhead and providing for families throughout this crisis.
