forcing myself to believe that bobby dawn wasn’t someone sandra lynn fucked (because she’s better than that) and that he just kicked her out.
plus gilear was very gender neutral when telling that story. she could have fucked his wife.

One of the many reasons to why George is my favourite musician and artist is the fact that even when he was raised in a small town with many closed thoughts he didn't let that or even the fame construct a image of him as utterly masculine and stereotypical, with his friends (different from Paul) for him showing love to everyone being physically close to them or hugging them no matter the gender, was something normal, a simple act of love.
Just like Olivia once said, George had romantic relationships with all of his friends because he was so full of it that it didn't scared him to show it, being making presents or just giving a hug, he did not let the fragile masculinity and conservative speech stop him from being himself.
And that, for a man raised in the late 50s is something to admire

[ID: A digital drawing of Lynne Hammond and Celia from The Magnus Archives drawn from the shoulders up. Both are slim Korean women with light skin. Lynne has long black hair in a high ponytail with a middle part, and she is wearing a white turtleneck, gold hoop earrings, industrial piercings, and a necklace, and winged eyeliner. Celia has a fully shaved head and patchy eyebrows, dark circles under her eyes, and she is wearing a purple scarf and dull green coat, and no jewelry. Lynne is looking at the viewer blankly, and Celia is smiling very anxiously up and to the side. Lynne is labelled as "Lynne Hammond" and Celia is labelled with "Celia" in quotes. The background is a grainy blur of green and purple and there is a faint overlay of pencil sketch lines over the whole image. end ID]

finally decided to draw my versions of Lynne and "Celia" pre-protocol era. i already had a mental image of Lynne so i Refused to change it cuz i think it'd be fun if she was Very Different after her factory reset aksjhakdhj. i call her "is comp-femme a thing" and then ofc "celia" is. looking rough <3 and then she had her butch awakening in the protocol verse and that's my regular celia design YAY <3

based on a self-indulgent headcanon that lloyd laughs like a goofball and very easily at terrible jokes. he snorts and giggles and wheezes, his nose wrinkles and his grin is all sorts of lopsided. he has to hold himself from falling over, and crinkles form underneath his eyes, and he's laughing so so loudly and javier thinks it's the cutest look in the world. lloyd really should laugh more often, take it easy more often. it suits him.

"Today, I am wearing my hair long and permed into full curls around my face, tying it up in sheer, silken scarves. I often choose to be late for a date rather than go out feeling "unfinished," which some days means a little powder and Chap Stick and other days means a total makeover. I wear long silk shirts and fluffy sweaters when I want, and regard the word pretty as a compliment again. Still, I know I am regarded as a failure and even a traitor by many in this [lesbian] club because I suffer occasional self-recrimination for being a size sixteen instead of a size six, because I enjoy wearing miniskirts and stockings, because I apparently care about and conform to the opinions of the "wrong" people (people in that other world who label us unacceptable or unfit). They say I am selling out, catering to patriarchy, being codependent on my mother and her opinions. Choose your descriptors, choose your chains. Too often, the saleswomen of the so-called freedom are more like the neo-conservatives and fundamentalists of the world, who say, "Do it our way or don't expect any privileges." They are not selling us the right to be who we want to be, they are selling us the right to be what they believe we should want to be. Sometimes, those rights are the same thing. More often, they are not. And when they are not, worlds may collide in a firestorm of indignation, embarrassment, and rage. I want that freedom they sold me. I want the freedom to love women, passionately and overwhelmingly. I want the freedom to love them the way I want, whether I wear a lace dress or jeans, whether I wear press-on nails or no lipstick. I want the freedom to feel sexy at 170 pounds. I want to do aerobics without resorting to stealth maneuvers. And I want the freedom to be who I am, without embarrassment or fear. I want no exceptions, no contingencies, no caveats. And if our community cannot--or will not--grant that freedom, I, and those like me, the rebel-conformists if you will, will take it. We will even steal it if we must. They'll be surprised at how fast we can run in those tight skirts and pumps."
- An excerpt from "Supercolliding over a Twinkie: Angry Musings from a Femme in the Deep South," an essay written by Constance Lynne and found in The Femme Mystique. (Emphasis in bold my own.)
