Naruto: The other day I caught a bug indoors.
Sasuke: Did you kill it?
Naruto: Of course not! I let it outside through the window.
Sakura: That's unusually harmless of you.
Naruto: Gamakichi's been waiting under that window.
Sasuke: Well that explains it.

Another redhead Uzumaki Naruto ~
In this piece I thought of Naruto as a ninja of Uzushiogakure, that's why he's wearing the Uzumaki clan symbol on his Hitai-ate. I really enjoy exploring this idea and drawing more stuff for it. I just can't decide if I like him better with his hair long or short. xD
Thanks for taking a look! :)

Oh my god you’re real! You’re a real person! Not a Wikipedia citation!
Yes! I am real! (last I checked). Currently without a Wikipedia entry for myself, but the frogs are anyway what really matters. One of the great honours of being a taxonomist is that your name gets to stick with the names you coin in perpetuity. A nice way to leave a legacy.

✦ N I N J A
The weight of twin steel was uncomfortable in her hands at first.
There is too much history here. Dual daggers were her brother’s trade, his proficiency, his talent, and she once left him bleeding out, stabbed in the gut by his very own weapon. The memory has haunted her since then; not even Thancred’s well-intentioned attempts to train her could break through.
The memory is still there now, though faded. Oboro’s teachings have blotted it out. She enjoys the thrill of the speed, the exhilaration of the chase. Quick, precise, deadly.

The other thing about Fransi is that despite being an Azem shard she is a real homemaker farmer, happily married to her first love since she was a teen, cishet and monogamous.
She never left her town, and she farmed all her life, even through the wars, until the world was consumed with darkness.
Even though she was perfectly content to live in the same spot all her life and never get more adventurous than the kind of antics when you're a lalafell trying to wrangle cattle or whatever excitement the farm had, she was a dreamer. And not even echo visions; I think she somehow slipped under the radar and never even had the falling stars vision. I think she just had an enormous imagination.
And she told stories and made up huge rambling epics while she worked, and she never wrote anything down but she knew her heroes backwards and forwards and at any evening you caught her down the pub and asked for a tale she could reel off a brand new adventure she'd been cooking from start to finish and it was brilliant and weird and went to all the places she'd read about. She travelled voraciously in books and stories from travellers, but only as worldbuilding for her own stories.
Frog is like "I don't understand how this person is a piece of me at all, her life sounds so normal." and Fransi is like "Woaaaah this is a hero right out of my tales?? How can this be boring old me??"
But once she starts asking questions and going off on flights of fancy based on what she hears (true or not, just what sounds like a great version of the story as Frog rather less elegantly told it), finally Frog starts to realise that whatever compels her to action, lives inside Fransi too, just completely internally.
(And then she's just about to try and inspire Fransi to action and adventure herself to see she might have it in her after all, when G'raha sees Frog getting her sized up for a scythe of her own, and is like what the heck? she knows an entire lost culture's worth of folklore and history and can recite it all. We HAVE to sit her down and make her write it all out!?!? and Frog's like my shard is illiterate. You do the writing.)

opinion on
That a... poison dart frog??
Jay said it was a tree frog. I'll believe him. I'll admit, I was a little disappointed that it was so bright and yet not poisonous.
Looks funky. A little messed up. The kinda guy who would sit on a tree and look down at you ominously.
