Yuji and Megumi have never really had close friends, or any honestly. So, they don't really know what friends do. Yuji decides that if spending some time with Megumi is good, more must be better and drags the other boy around to accompany him in literally everything. Megumi is pretty sure this is not how friends normally act, but since he has no way to verify this —lacking prior experience and all— he (reluctantly) goes along with it.

Scavenger Hunt

Let’s get into. This ep feels like it tells us, the audience, a lot about Marcy - it’s hard for her to connect with others (this will be important later). This is relatable (having a hard to connecting with strangers; i feel you there). If anything Anne reminds me of what I wish I was (and a little bit of very young me when I was climb-happy and into gymnastics :p)

As for plot, it sets up some of the situations and problems faced by Marcy. Also, it foreshadows how she will be the only one who doesn’t actually make friends. Even Sasha formed a friendship of sorts with Grime.

(On that note, I do think it’s interesting how Sasha ends up considering Grime a friend, especially since he’s not someone she had bossed around; there’s a sense of give and take; she’s taught him to have a better rapport (even if it’s on the manipulative side) and he respects her talents of micro-managing and athleticism)
