Hello! Thank you so much ☺️ and thanks for asking such an interesting question! It took me quite some time to think about it and I’m still not sure! Since a lot of my illustrations hold some kind of emotional value for me - some because they include a place / animal from my personal life, while others a memory or feeling from the past. Here are 3 that I think are my favourites as of now :)

1. The calm before the storm - for me it’s a really nostalgic piece and reminds me of childhood. I really love the moment when you can start to hear rumbling of thunder in the distance and the sky grows darker, and you’re anticipating a storm that will bring relief from the summer heat. The atmosphere of that moment is just one of my favourite things in life! I love thunderstorms.

2. ⁠A meeting with autumn - I like this piece visually and it’s of a place I would go for walks to very often a couple of years ago. So I like it because it reminds me of that place and of course I love when nature is so colourful in autumn.

3. ⁠Bubble cat - this one is from last year and the story behind this one is that I was trying to draw how I often feel - with my head in the clouds and in my own little bubble, within my comfort zone. Funnily enough I went out of my comfort zone drawing this illustration because I don’t feel so confident in drawing clouds, I would much rather draw meadows or forests and here it was just the sky. But I’m quite proud of how the piece turned out.

Secrets of the meadow 🦋

this year I experimented a little bit with combining digital and traditional art and here is one of the outcomes. I started this painting in the summer during an art class and ended up abandoning it for a short while. Recently I decided to revisit it but instead of finishing it with another layer of oils I added some more details digitally. Hope you like the results! 🌱
