keeping my brain busy in the wake of All the Bullshit by assigning the Arc-V Pokemon teams and making little pictographs for them <3 you can really see the slow progression of me fighting for my life trying to find good little character icons as time went on

anyway under the tag are all my rambling rationalizations for all my choices too if anyone wants to read my however-many-hundreds-of-words howling <33

YUYA (mostly c/ping this from an older ask since his team didn't really change):

Zygarde 20%: i think it’s fun giving him one of the ‘incomplete’ Zygarde forms since he himself is an incomplete piece of Zarc. That's Silver Claw.

Tyrantrum: He needs a terrestrial Dragon type, huge, since Odd-Eyes is the only dimensional dragon who doesn’t fly… Odd-Eyes is also very dinosaur like! :^) Plus the king motif and it’s even red too!!

Delphox: challenging myself to give at least all of the yuboys a fully evolved starter, and I really like delphox for Yuya…invokes stargazer and timegazer magician and all the other Spellcasters in his deck, the showmanship of fire, powerful supernatural abilities. also yuya with a fennekin is SOOO cute. in universe I like to think Dennis traded him the fennekin in exchange for Yuya's original starter (Sobble)

Hippopotas: Hip Hippo, of course!

Gengar: he needs something smiley, and Gengars got that prankster mischief energy that I think could play nice on a Yuya team. Plus it being a spooky purple ghost for the purple Zarc Energy. Mega Gengar is even stated to be able to travel to other dimensions <3

Roaring Moon: for Awakened!Yuya and Odd-Eyes Raging Dragon, monstrous violent dragon that bares a striking similarity to another Pokemon from another region, another world…hmmmmm who does that sound like…..

ZUZU:

Cherrim: Specifically its Sunshine form, noted for its high energy and cheer! It has her color palette AND EVEN LITTLE 'HAIR' DOODADS LIKE HER TOO?!? she would adore this thing

Floette: Truly a very Bloom Diva/Melodious feeling Pokemon, I think it suits Zuzu perfectly... hers probably has the red flower i think :-) Maybe at some point it evolves into Florges, invoking some of the more 'grown' Melodious ladies.

Scream Tail: Pink, tough, and a little scary lol. I think it's fun if she AND Yuya both have Past Paradox Pokemon...matchies. Jigglypuff invocation for Melodious/Zuzu's musical motif too!

Leafeon: Giving all the bgirls an Eeveelution!! Zuzu deserves Leafeon naturally :3

Lilligant: Plant/Flower Lady, elegant, pairs perfectly with Sora's Whimsicott. A no brainer for me.

Meloetta: fuck it giving all the bgirls a Legendary too!! Gotta go with Meloetta for Zuzu, especially the Aria Form. Like. That thing's a Melodious monster. also something something the way it can alter people's emotions vs. Ray Akaba's power over Zarc or what have you. I'm seeing visions

SORA:

Hydrapple: For Frightfur Chimera's three heads, also literally a sticky candy apple monster. Syrup Bomb. It's so perfect for him.

Bewear: Frightfur Bear of course!! ANOTHER PERFECT ONE FOR HIM. Cute giant plush bear that is actually Fucking Scary and Can Hurt You So Fucking Bad.

Mimikyu: ANOTHER NATURAL PICK spooky haunted stuffed animal lookin beast!! Looks cute but can be vicious. Mimics something friendly to hide its truth self underneath. Very Frightfur compliant.

Slurpuff: This kid does not walk around with 4385289345 different sweets on hand for me to NOT give him the sticky sweets fluffy dog Pokemon. What if a Fluffal was made of candy. Soramon unlimited.

Whimsicott: Frightfur Sheep! Also mischievous and surprisingly powerful, and it compliments Zuzu's Lilligant! BECAUSE THEY ARE BESTIES!!!

Kartana: I'm giving all the Fusion dimension kids an Ultra Beast because I can <3 extradimensional fuckery representation <33 Kartana is imo the one that works best for Sora, being small and sharp edges like an Edge Imp. Little fucker that will cut you.

GONG:

Iron Hands: AINT MOVIN. BIG METAL ROBOTIC MACHINE BEAST. THE JAPANESE INVOCATIONS OF HARIYAMI. THATS A SUPERHEAVY SAMURAI.

Kingambit: Another Samurai that notably stays put for the most part. Esteemed and respected and strong as hell and when its friends fall it only grows stronger to not let their sacrifices be in vain.

Aggron: has a cry like a train, thus reminding me of Gong's insane train SHS. Also just extremely Gong-relevant animal to me...big protective wall of might and metal.

Kleavor: Another Pokemon with classical feudal-Japan/samurai-relevant vibes. Has bigass eyebrows. In PLA its Hidden Ability was Steadfast, also.

Mudsdale: Like. Gong just needs a Ground type. To me. Hardworking and powerful but extremely slow. VERY good at using Heavy Slam. "It remains calm and unmoving no matter the situation." like...bro.

Ogerpon: FUCK IT GONG GETS A LEGENDARY TOO. For Superheavy Samurai Ogre Shutendoji and also Ogrepon cares so much about her friend(s) and so does Gong!! I KNOW it'd be rocking the Cornerstone Mask mostly, too. Solid as a rock....

SYLVIO:

(Shiny) Sneasler: For his Yosenjus, also the entire Sneasel family is just so Sylvio to me....shiny H-Sneasel/Sneasler especially. It has his stupid yellow bangs!! SLASH POS

Floatzel: Also another smug weasel Pokemon with lots of oranges/yellows in its palette. I actually can't fully remember why I gave him Floatzel but it could very well just be my bias cuz I love Floatzel lol

Quaquaval: THE SYLVIO STARTER EVER. SHOWY GAY WATER DUCK. ABYSS ACTORS. QUAXLY ALWAYS FLICKING ITS HAIR QUAFF. OVER THE TOP PERFORMER. MR. SAWATARI....

Cetitan: For Mobius the Mega Monarch/that smattering, and also Cetitan is kind of shaped like some of Sylvio's big bulky Abyss Actors (Evil Heel, etc...)

Unfezant: Another pompous male Pokemon with swoopy hair things <3 "Intensely proud." Also a little dart-like to me.

Toxapex: Really just another Pokemon that looks like an Abyss Actor. Also probably something in there with a Posion type vs. Sylvio's early TOXIC AS FUCK ATTITUDE, SIR!!!

DECLAN:

Metagross: Supergenius Pokemon made of four fused Beldums <3 Analyzes its foes with expert calculations. Incredibly strong. Just tremendously Declanmon to me.

Empoleon: D/D/D Wave King Ceasar!! Also just the royal/emperor aesthetic in general, would it right at home with the D/Ds. And "It avoids unnecessary disputes, but it will mercilessly decimate anything that threatens the safety of its colony" BRO THAT'S DECLAN.....

G-max Duraludon: The LID building <3 Also like the idea of him wielding Gmaxs AND Megas AND probably Z-movies and Terastalizing too, as a parallel to mastering all the summoning mechanics.

Escavalier: D/D Proud Chevalier, another tremendously brave in the face of adversity Pokemon, also UMMM THE LANCERS!!! also I like the implication he and Moon Shadow traded to get their respective evos with Shelmet and Karrablast lol.

(Shiny) Mega Gardevoir: Again, wielding Megas just as easily as Gmax... has his color palette, plus Gardevoir in general has that 'tremendously loyal to the person it cares most about and will protect them at all costs' thing which just. screams Declan and Yuya's dynamic a lot to me.

Regigigas: lmao, "Reiji." The trio master of the Regis just like Declan is the leader of the Lancers. Insanely powerful creation-diety ass Pokemon vs. Declan's position of being an Akaba and that narrative weight re: Ray. Also would be right at hoem with some of the big bulky D/D/Ds.

YUTO:

Ceruledge: well now this is just a Phantom Knight for real.

Hydreigon: Dark Rebellion!! Brutal and relentless (in its objective)...I like the idea that Yuto's Hydreigon is pretty chill when not Fighting in a War though <3 His frienddd

Decidueye: His requisite evolved starter, I think Lulu traded him Rowlet originally~ Also on that Phantom Knight swag with the Haunted Cloaked Ghost Archer Everything.

Aegislash: AND AGAIN. THE PHANTOM KNIGHTS FOG BLADE. THE PHANTOM KNIGHTS TOMB SHIELD.

Absol: A stoic and tremendously goth beast, plus the way it's so attuned to knowing when disaster will strike + Yuto having gone through The Horrors of War just pair up very well.

Zacian: He DID have Zamazenta too but he traded it to Lulu :^) In general both dogs are so wonderful for him... weaponry clad and endlessly noble and brave. Busted as fuck, I'm sure there's some commentary on PKs in there too lol. I imagine its mostly in its battered Hero of Many Battles form for the most part....

SHAY:

G-Max Corviknight: TRULY THE RAID RAPTOR RISE FALCON OF IT ALL. absolutely GIGANTIC metal bird that launches feathers like missiles. This thing WOULD be like rank 8 or some shit. ALso something something Raider's Knight.

Staraptor: ok well now thats just kind of what Shay looks like. Giant emo bird of prey <3 Incredibly strong and fast and Here to Fuck You Up Bad

Ninjask: ok this is a wild pick for him but I LOVE him and lulu having ninjask and shedinja, also Ninjask's whole deal of being Extremely fast is right at home with Shay's birds. It's also described as if "not trained properly, it will refuse to obey the Trainer" which like.... very Shay joining the Lancers-esque <3 Guy who is difficult to work with.

Braviary: "For the sake of its friends, this brave warrior of the sky will not stop battling, even if injured." "They fight for their friends without any thought about danger to themselves." "With its brave disposition, it fears nothing—not even death." DAWG THATS JUST SHAY OBSIDIAN FROM YUGIOH ARC-V.

Talonflame: RAID RAPTOR BLAZE FALCON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FUCK IT BRAVE BIRD FUCK IT BRAVE BIRD FUCK IT BRAVE BIRD

Blaziken: This thing has Speed Boost and it's about to be your problem. Powerful, brave, nimble, perfect for Shay and his like insane acrobatics he's always busting out. Perfect Pokemon for guy who beat the shit out of like 8 cops at once. 🔥

LULU:

Altaria: TRULY A LYRILUSC OF A POKEMON Humming and singing and incredibly powerful bird. Soft and warm and "with a kind disposition." I know she would love this thing so much.

Swellow: For Lyrilusc Sapphire Swallow/representative of all her swallow-adjacent songbirds

Shedinja: Again really fun in a pair with Shay's Ninjask. 1 HP to mirror how Lyriluscs are all level/rank 1!

Sylveon: and here's where my Flying TYPE Eeveelution would be... IF I HAD ONE >:( WELL. I do think Sylveon suits Lulu very well too, an exemplary compliment to her kind and friendly nature. AND transgender colors #lulugendermoments

Togekiss: Peace-loving angel-esque bird!!! Dueling shoudn't be used for war but making people smile!!!! "it visits peaceful regions, bringing them gifts of kindness and sweet blessings." LULUMONNNNNN

Zamazenta: Yuto traded this to her out of hoping it could help protect her ;w; Hero of Many Battles mode for the most part. The shield/protective motif also I feel ties well with Lulu's nonaggressive but remarkably adept at standing up for what she cares about character.

CELINA:

Liepard: IDK WHY IT'S SO HARD TO FIND GOOD LUNALIGHT EQUIVALENT POKEMON BUT ALAS lunalight panther dancer! ok it's a leopard but shhh. Also "moody and vicious" and strong and stealthy.

Pyroar: and Lunalight Leo Dancer too!!!!

Sensu Oricorio: For the bird Lunalights, and also its fan-feathers remind me of Cat Dancer :3 WAIT ITS HEAD FEATHERS ALSO LOOK LIKE CELINA'S BOW AND HER PONYTAIL...OMG

Umbreon: Naturally Celina's Eeveelution!! The moon associated one, hunts prey in the dark, glows in the moonlight (evolves through friendship 🥺celina did too.....)

Hisuian Lilligant: Compliments Zuzu's Unovan Lilligant (BECAUSE THEY ARE FRIENDS!!!) also an elegant and powerful Fighting type that moves like a dancer. This has always been a big Alexis Pokemon for me too but what can I say Fusion girlies rocking out with the Skater Dancer Plant Lady.

Celesteela: More moon motif!! Also Celesteela's Princess Kaguya inspiration honestly parallels Celina as a character really well too

YURI:

Silvally: we all know I associate Silvally with the yuboys in general, but teamwise I think it belongs the most on Yuri's--hodgepodge chimera monster experiment built in a lab and kept away from 'normal' Pokemon and populations. blasphemous emulation of god. Definitely absolutely kept Poison type mostly. 💜

Vileplume: PREDAPLANT CHIMERAFFLESIA.... I was torn between Vileplume or Victreebel but I think Vileplum works the best. It's Yuri's colors <3 *spews toxic spores at you*

Mega Sceptile: Grass/Dragon-type, literally has Starving Venom's colorful orb things, extremely fast and powerful... Sceptile is already the perfect starter for him but Mega Scepty just checks all the Venom Boxes.

Scolipede: Its horns look like Yuri's hair prongs <3 He deserves at least one big purple bug imo. It's also described as HIGHLY AGGRESSIVE and RELENTLESS and damn if that aint Yuriful.

Carnivine: truly one of the Most Predaplant of all Pokemon. This bitch eats meat!!! also I think it's funny if Yuri has a Pokemon that kind of chronically sucks bad but he loves it anyway.

Nagadanel: AND OF COURSE YURI'S ULTRA BEAST IS ALSO STARVING VENOM :) why the fuck is it like Yuri's hair color(s) exactly. Like Poipole too of course but still omfg. its poison is described as an adhesive too which i think is just perfect as a mirror of Yuri's sticky nasty ass dragon. slash pos.

DENNIS:

Meowscarada: JUST KIND OF DENNIS'S TRUEST POKESONA. TO ME. Dark type masked showman magician, master of misdirection....kind of has his haircut....gay.... uhhhh. meow!

Star Trim Furfrou: WELL. YOU KNOW. 🐩 also Star Pattern in particular for matching the 'performer' vibes and being the same blue as the blue in Dennis's stupid stupid outfit.

Inteleon: I'm privvy to the truth (Yuya traded Dennis his Sobble and got his Fennekin in return) but also like. This is justalso a Dennis Pokemon Bigly to me. Gay Sniper Spy Chameleon.

Mime Jr.: Performage Trick Clown!!! And the Performages in general. Little clown for this fucking clown.

Copperajah: For Chaos Ancient Gear Golem :,) I imagine it can Gigantimax and REALLY have that "giant fucked up war machine" mood down back. Also something something circuses and elephants.....

Blacephalon: LIKE. HE COULDNT HAVE ANY OTHER ULTRA BEAST, REALLY. Weird unsettling clown that sets off fireworks and literally blows its own head off 🥴 dennis might as well be a damn blacephalon. "It slithers toward people. Then, without warning, it triggers the explosion of its own head." dennis literally did this in front of a cruise ship full of people .

YUGO:

Rayquaza: Yugo's perfect Legendary choice AND a perfect Clear-Wing equivalent! Sky/Wind related green dragon, only arms, no legs, hell its yellow rings even remind me a little of Synchro rings.

(Shiny) Flygon: Also just reminds me of Clear Wing a whole lot <3 green, fast, long stripey tail, rhombus wings.. the shiny palette is also Yugo's colors!

Cinderace: I had such a hard time picking a starter for Yugo but I think Cinderace is the best pick... literal jock that plays toys and is described as "losing its cool easily," "it gets pumped up when cheered on," and "if it starts showboating, it could put itself in a tough spot" which just comes off like a laundry list of Yugo roasts HFDGUSD he would love this bunny rabbit.

Starmie: Mostly I just love Yugo and Rin have counterpart Pokemon but also Starmie has Speedroid vibes to me!!! Spinning star toy. Also fast as fuckkkk

Dragapult: HI-SPEEDROID KITEDRAKE!!! DRAGON THAT SHOOTS DARTS. FUNNY FAST VEHICLE LOOKIN ASS LIZARD.

Miraidon: ok Im pulling the "Yugo is one of my favorites he gets two Legendaries" card HE JUST DESERVES MIRAIDON. DUEL RUNNER DRAGON. CAPABLE OF BEING SILLYGOOFY AND ALSO LOCKING TF IN. one yuboy having a Past Paradox 'mon and one having a Future Paradox mon makes me a little craayayayzayy

Froslass: Truly one of the most Windwitch of all Pokemon to me. Powerful ice witch lady fuck up your whole world.

Bronzong: A big fuckoff Bell. For Windwitch Freeze Bell. And Diamond Bell. And Crystal Bell. And Winter Bell. And

Hatterene: AND ANOTHER POWERFUL WITCH POKEMON FOR THE WITCH QUEEN also the trans flag colors just like rin's riding gear outfit. transfem rin is real btw

Glaceon: easy Eveelution pick for her ❄

Cloyster: Counterpart to Yugo's Starmie! Big weird floating Ice-aligned spike covered shape, which also described like 5 different Windwitches! Rin with Shellder is also really cute.

Glastrier: Really had to mull on what Legendary to give her but I love the idea of her also having a 'rideable vehicle' Legendary (horses are rideable vehicles.) Also Glastrier is a busted ass powerful as fuck belligerent ice monster and I think RIn would deeply appreciate its cunty spirit. 💙

MOON SHADOW:

Lunatone: Naturally!

Greninja: NATURALLY AS WELL!

Basculegion: The whole thing with Basculegion being powered and driven by the souls of its dead loved ones is just so perfect for the way Moon has to carry on after Sun Shadow got carded. Plus those very archiac Ainu design elements present just suit him well I think.

Accelgor: LIKE. I GOTTA. NINJA SWEEP also again i love the idea he had to trade his karrablast with Declan to get his Accelgor in return. Lancer synergy

Golisopod: Defense-oriented shogun armored type beast, pairs up well with invoking Moon's Twilight Ninja archetype. Also the Emergency Exit ability reminding me of all of his nimble ninja escape tactics we get to see.

(Shiny) Pawniard: A.) has his color palette B.) ninja-ish cadet at the command of a higher up (Bisharp), but also C.) that's Riley 🥺

RILEY:

Espurr: they just look like one. Riley Pokemon of All Time.

Oshawott: I love the idea of Riley having a baby Water starter to compliment Declan's Empoleon, and Oshawott's got that nice light blue and white palette and a design that evokes Riley's teddy bear a little bit. Plus its scalchop as a neat parallel to the C/C/C Weapon Monsters.

Beldum: Another baby form of one of Declan's monsters, also representative of C/C Critical Eye--one menacing red eye included!

Gigalith: All of Riley's C/C/C Rock Battle Monsters <3 (Armor, Blaster, Sword.) Also has eyes like Critical Eye too a little.

Ralts: one more mirror of Declan's team, but also this is another Pokemon Riley kind of just looks like. them big ol eyes. And the whole thign with how it flees when strong emotions are present :(

Terapagos: a cute and harmless looking Pokemon capable of absolutely horrifying reality shifting powers, just like Ray through Riley's body is capable of mildly terrifying ablities <3 I think Riley and Terapagos would also just be buddies 🥺

ZARC:

Zygarde 100%: FUCK IT. GIVE THE SUPREME KING ALL HIS DAMN DRAGON LEGENDARIES i just really love the idea of him especially having 'stronger' forms of the Legendaries the Yuboys wield--also like. Zygarde 100% Freakass Fulled Reunited Giant Green and Black Superweapon Dragon With Red and Blue Undertones (the colors of the pendulum scales)... it's too perfect.

Mega Rayquaza: Ultra-strong green and black terrifying giant dragon... 2!!! <3 The evolution of Yugo's Rayquaza. Giving Zarc all the crazy battle gimmicks too like he lords over all the summoning mechanics. Green for Synchros too <3

Eternamax Eternatus: ANOTHER WORLD-ENDING GIGANTIC DRAGON MONSTROSITY FOR THE ZARCMAN overloaded with power.. violent and unpredictable... the counter to Yuto's Zacian (and previously owned Zamazenta).... Fusion colors also.

Arceus: IT IS DRAGON TYPE NATURALLY the original vs Yuri's remix (Silvally)....fuck around and become God and all powerful. :,) Creation deity moments! White for Synchros as well.

Guzzlord: Also a bit of a parallel to Yuri's Silvally, but just in general I Gotta Give Him This Giant All-Consuming Dark/Dragon Extradimensional Abomination. All devouring.... Zarc in a way devoured the four yuboys too, huh.

Regidrago: Wildcard Dragon Legendary for the final spot but I do have my reasons <3 Big black dragon skull, "said to have the powers of every dragon Pokémon," just fires blasts of Dragon Energy at foes. Also just this sort of "ancient incredible power" feels very along Zarc's lines too

RAY:

Eevee: All the bgirls get evolved Eeveelutions, but I just love the idea of Ray's partner Pokemon being just a plain Jane unevolved Eevee that fought God and won.

Shaymin: En Flowers 🌸(also En-Wind for Sky Form Shaymin)

Lunala: En Moon 🌙 (also En-Windish, plus the Ghost typing a fun element with Ray effectively being dead and haunting that goddamn narrative.)

Lugia: En Birds 🐦 (also En Wind for all its storm conjuring capabilities)

Enamorus: ok I thought about Tornadus at first for En-Wind but A.) Ray needs a Fairy type for the 'dragon killer' implications, B.) Enamorus being this extremely powerful female Pokemon that fortells spring, brings the world back to life, and 'violently punishes' those that disrespect any living being is just, like, too perfect.

Regieleki: Its arms look like her ponytails <3 Honestly in general it looks a lot like when she was a glowy yellow spirit form. Also the only Pokemon to learn Thunder Cage, which feels quite appropriate for Ray stopping and containing Zarc. And oh well it's just a neat little counterpart to Zarc's Regidrago because I love when they have counterparts and I love divorce <33333 #EQUALITY: GIVE RAY LEGENDARIES TOO.

What do you think of Transformers and Yugioh crossover?

My friend, you are tempting me as I got three different scenarios in my head. For now, I'm giving simplified versions.

First one involves an OC of mine named Velanova Perse, a powerful psychic duelist who wanders between dimensions with her Frightfur Deck. She ends up in the TFAverse and became Sari's nanny a few years before the Autobots arrive. Velanova pretty much throws canon on as she's a serial adopter who isn't afraid to a sick a Frightfur Chimera at someone like Megatron or Sentinel.

The second involves Yusei Fudo getting pulled in the events of Bayverse when the D-Reactor accidentally syncs with the All Spark/Cube during a Sector 6 experiment. (Any Bayverse crossover will follow a consensus similar to this ask on major events I don't like most of canon.) Yusei is a sheer chaos agent who manages to derail everyone's plans and his duel runner might come to life.

Last idea is Jaden accidentally gets sent to Griffin Rock as a child and becomes a Burns. (Charlie handles Yubel's hostility the proper away do no shock therapy alongside a more healthy bond with Jaden.) He still attends Duel Academy, without certain major incidents. Although Jaden returns with a plus that might bring the Prime side of the Aligned continuity to crossover.

In both cases, the association with Fusion is clear, since Chimera the Flying Mythical Beast is one of the first Fusions of the manga. Association with evil for the Kimera spelling comes from Player Killer of Darkness’s Dark Chimera.

Chimaera, the Master of Beasts, an old Tournament Prize card, has no Japanese name, because it was never released in OCG (it is still found in the OCG database with its English name, and lore.)

Current Chimera theme uses the second spelling, of course.

Vector’s Number 5 variants likely uses the Greek spelling since his past life was Greek, though Sora’s Frightfur Chimera is direct reference to Yugi, and direct disassociation with Kimera spelling, likely to showcase he is not truly evil.

They nod to her and then look back at their opponent. "I end my turn!" Edo shouts, then Sora begins his turn, Fusion summoning Frightfur Mad Chimera and ending his turn with a couple of face downs. Meanwhile, Zarc seems to have gone quiet for a bit before snapping out of it. "It is futile to resist your fate! Everyone will get the duel they wanted, more violent and brutal than ever before!!"

It had been another boring day at Academia. Dueling recently wasn't as fun as she remembered as everyone there just seemed to be weak. Rio was walking through the corridor of the school, hoping to find something interesting or at least something that was worth her time.

A duel in the backyard caught her attention and she watched it for a while but it didn't take long for one of them to win. The purple haired boy seemed to be quite strong, so it wasn't much of a surprise that he won.

Maybe, getting to know him could be fun? She'd have to talk to him to find out about that. So she walked over to him after he was done dueling. "Hey." she simply said.

📋- Jpn, his last name just sounds nicer and has a very ominous meaning, though I appreciate the dub for giving him a last name that just means "purple" iirc

👗- Probably his hair most of all, there isn't a thing I don't love about his design, but blue hair has always been a favorite of mine

Also look how small he is, he is so so tiny

📺- The scene where he confronts Tsukikage in the synchro dimension and basically tells him "You can do whatever you want with me later, just let me fulfil this promise to Yuya first" has always been my favorite moment for his character because you just Know that he's saying he's fine with dying if that's the fate Tsukikage thinks he deserves for what he did to his brother, just not with Yuzu's safety still depending on him. It's also the moment where he finally breaks away from Academia after all this internal struggle over where his loyalties still lie, and man. It was really fuckin good. I can't wait to rewatch that one.

🃏- Aesthetically I would pick Fluffal Mouse because look at this absolute unit

He so fuckin ROUND I love him... But! I love Frightfur Chimera and Dangerous Frightfur Nightmary for the fucked up symbolism

(No I didn't actively read the manga unless Sora or Yugo were involved, so she was one of the few things I Did absorb and hoo boy was it fucked)

🌈- I've always thought of Sora as pan c: All of the people he's shown interest in have been strong duelists (Yuya, Reiji, Yuto, Masumi) so gender isn't really a factor to him, if you're interesting enough then you'll catch his eye

😺- Probably not lmao, stuffed animals are a big thing with him but I interpret it as a metaphor for his fucked up past and loss of childhood innocence more than anything

🌼- Sora is a complex character with many facets to him, but one flower I can pick to tackle at least a little of that is daffodils, symbolizing rebirth and new beginnings, something that I think is fitting for him due to the changes he goes through over the course of the show

🦋- Sora is probably fascinated by a lot of insects and would probably keep some awful ones as pets (I just Feel in my heart that he'd have a pet centipede), but he also wouldn't feel bad about killing any stray insects that happen to get into his space, like spiders (though now that I think about it I could see him keeping a pet tarantula too)

🗡- Magic user feels most accurate for him, but if I had to pick a physical weapon... He does have a thing for getting up close and personal when he fights, so hm. Brass knuckles and knives both feel like something he'd use in a fight. I think he deserves to punch and stab.

Welcome everyone! Here we will be talking more about the Broken Toys AU! This time we'll be talking about the Boss Frightfurs but also where these toys actually live!

Boss Frightfurs are quite rare since there are only 3 different types but they are the most powerful. Most Boss Frightfurs are created by fusing a Frightfur except for one which is the ruler of all these toy monsters. Now let's get started!

Chimeric Grave Raiser: Frightfur Chimera "Behemoth"

The first Boss Frightfur MK has summoned and is his go to for very powerful opponents such as Demon Bull King. This particular killer toy is created by fusing three different Frightfurs together. Frightfur Chimeras outmatch Frightfur Leos in offensive power but their ability also surpasses the Enforcer Frightfur as well.

Just like Frightfur Sheep, magic, traps and special abilities have no use against an attacking Chimera but this monster can resurrect those they slay on its side! With each toy zombie that this chimeric creates, the stronger it becomes!

Behemoth is a Frightfur Chimera with a blue bandana around their neck instead of a magenta bowtie. He is quite playful and friendly often liking to play games such as hide n seek, tag or capture the flag. Behemoth likes giving rides to MK or his companions on his back and help out wherever he can.

Immortal Beast: Frightfur Sabre-Tooth "Wildcat"

A Boss Frightfur MK summons when dealing with a powerful opponent that can harm the Monkey King Sun Wukong. Frightfur Sabre-Tooths are created by fusing one Frightfur with multiple Fluffals and Edge Imps. They automatically give a small power boost to all Frightfur allies but that's not all! If a Sabre-Tooth is created by using four or more monsters, they become indestructible and can only be defeated through exorcism or banishment.

Wildcat is a Frightfur Sabre-Tooth whose tail is orange instead of violet. She is very hyperactive, often wanting to play or claw up anything she can get her paws on. Wildcat loves to hang out with all sorts of felines and is quite a great babysitter as stray cats often leave their kittens to her care. MK brings Wildcat over to Sandy's place quite often so she can play with Sandy's cats and hang out with the big man.

Ruler of the Frightfurs: Dangerous Frightfur Nightmary "Mary"

The oldest and most powerful Frightfur of them all, Dangerous Frightfur Nightmary. It is said that she was the first Frightfur ever created and rules over all Fluffals, Edge Imps and Frightfurs. Only one Dangerous Frightfur Mary can exist at a time and acts as a mother to MK and all of her subjects.

She gains power for each one of her fallen subjects and can sacrifice them to unleash her wrath on those who dare try to harm her kingdom. Mary can even turn an opponent's magic, powers and traps against them with destructive force so only true combat is the safest way to battle her.

MK goes to Mary quite often for many things from advice or simply enjoy her presence. She can conceal her terrifying visage and take the form of a beautiful blonde maiden whenever going out in public.

Mary is kind, patient and very wise. She often gives advice to MK and any of his friends whenever they feel lost. The Ruler of the Frightfurs also smacks Sun Wukong on the head whenever he doesn't take MK's training seriously. Mary won't hesitate to turn any fool that dares threaten anyone who she considered children or family into chew toys for her young toy subjects.

Now to talk about the home where the Fluffals, Edge Imps and Frightfurs live...

The Twisted Wonderland: Frightfur Sanctuary

A massive amusement park/kingdom hybrid that all these toys and MK call home. Just like it's appearance describes, there are tons of different and safe attractions, rides, carnival games and foods that many of the Sanctuary's residents can enjoy daily. The place is magical and where a person ends up upon entering depends on their relationship to MK or Mary.

Those considered enemies find themselves in one of two specific places: Frightfur March or Frightfur Factory.

Frightfur March is a large toy woodland where most of the Frightfurs, especially the Bosses, reside in. Intruders will quickly find themselves attacked and torn apart by the various residents within seconds upon entry.

The Frightfur Factory is where most Fluffals and Edge Imps are made into Frightfurs. Intruders will immediately placed within a room of newly created Frightfurs to be torn apart like chew toys.

Any friends or viewed family members find themselves at the front entrance which is one of the safer parts of the Sanctuary. During the LMK series, some Bull Clones managed to get inside the Frightfur Sanctuary but were quickly destroyed in the March or Factory.

Seed of Darkness: A Shocking Discovery (14/?)

All it takes it one bad seed to spoil the whole bunch. An AU collab with @violetganache42​​.

Back at the Center Duel Field, an uproar of cheers surged from the audience as the evening hours gradually dwindled into night time. Bright, opalescent confetti rained from the sky, red, light blue, and purple streaks steadily curved all across the air, pink, icy blue, yellow, and green sparks danced around in every direction, blue, green, yellow, and red spotlights waved in every corner of the stadium, and to top it all off, there were two holographic projections of Duel Monsters: one depicted a fairy who used her wand to cast out various shapes while the other was a dragon flying by and blasting a fire attack from its mouth. On the screens, the audience could see Nico standing in the center of the field underneath a spotlight and getting ready to make the big announcement that everyone has been dying to hear.

“The Battle Royale is now over!” he announced. “They’ve taken on fiery flames, icy icebergs, jungly jungles, and rockous ruins, but nothing could stop them from taking center stage on our center court! I know we had some technical difficulties and couldn’t watch the duels in their entireties. Sorry, but no refunds, folks.” He chuckled at the last remark.

Not far from him, he could see the Duelists who have made it through the Battle Royale arriving at the entrance to the Duel Field: Yuya, Julia, Moon Shadow, Sylvio, Gong, Yuto, Shay, Yuri, Sora, and Dennis. “So are you that curious to see who made it through to the next round?” Nico asked before receiving a continuous acclamation in response. “And here they are now. Give it up for these ten great dynamic Duelists!”

Nico paused and quickly did a double take to see if he counted correctly. Ten Duelists? Yep. There was indeed a total of ten Duelists. He assumed there was supposed to be eight in all based on the tournament brackets for the next round. Since when did Yuya have two lookalikes? And why were Julia and Sora part of the roster? Little did he and everyone else know was there was a major reason why there was a larger amount of finalists, which would be explained shortly.

"There's Yuya right in front!" Tate commented.

Allie frowned slightly. "But where's Zuzu?" she wondered.

"I think I lost my appetite," Yoko complained. "Reed didn't make it."

Skip was also concerned. "Allie's right," he agreed. "I can't see Zuzu."

Tate also realized something else was off with the results. "How come Sylvio's down there?" he wondered.

"I thought that guy lost to Yuya in the first round," Fredrick recalled.

"He's not the only one who lost a duel," Yoko added. "Sora and Julia lost too."

They weren't the only ones surprised with the results. With the ten Duelists in the arena, other people started to voice concern.

"Hey Sylvio, did your dad pull some strings?!"

"Why are there three Yuyas?!"

"I thought that Sora guy lost!"

"I don't know what the Akabas did, but we ain't buyin' it!"

"That Gem-Knight girl shouldn't be here!"

Luckily before things got too restless, Henrietta appeared on the monitor. "Ladies and gentlemen, I have an important announcement to make on behalf of the Leo Corporation," she said. "I ask that you remain calm, as this may come as a great shock. Effective immediately, the Arc League Championship will be suspended indefinitely."

But that only made the crowd even more restless. "There's certainly no easy way to say this," Henrietta continued. "The reason for suspending the championship is that during the Battle Royale, an enemy force from another dimension has invaded our world. We learned some extremely disturbing facts about how this group operates. As organizers of this tournament, the Leo Institute feels it's absolutely essential to reveal the truth about what's happening, no matter how ominous and unsettling that truth is. To invade the dimension we live in, the invaders sent in their army known as the Reserved. When we discovered this, we found out this alien force shut down all live broadcasts of the Battle Royale for reasons unknown."

The crowd panicked.

"Invaders?!"

"From another dimension?!"

"What's this reversed stuff?!"

"They gotta be pulling our Duel Disks!"

"No way!"

"What's with the lies?!"

"I understand the cause for doubt," Henrietta said. "But if you don't believe me, see for yourselves."

On the screens, it transitioned to the footage that was cut off throughout the Battle Royale’s duration. First off was a clip showcasing Ashley, Bram, and Carl all succumbing to the dark powers of the Reverse against their will despite the fact they didn’t duel against a Reversed Duelist, let alone the Void; fortunately, the part where it showed the Void controlling Yuya as it used its powers was cut off…even though he still couldn’t help but feel ashamed of what “he” did to those knights.

The audience, on the other hand, were less than ashamed though. A couple of girls had to turn around and shield their eyes just to not stare at the horrific sight of this catastrophe. A mother also had to cover her son’s eyes with her hand as a way to make him less traumatized.

“That’s…horrible,” a man with spiky brown hair said.

“They all got possessed!” another brown-haired man exclaimed.

The montage continued, much to the horror of those watching, but it was the only way for them to know the truth. They saw a lot of the Reverse Academy soldiers initiating their plan to defeat the participating Duelists, who would go on to defeat more in order to join them. Dennis and Sora watched on as they prayed that Celina “liberating” Zuzu wouldn’t be revealed to the public, and so far, those chances were looking pretty good. Unfortunately, the odds of a specific moment from the Battle Royale getting unveiled was undoubtedly certain for Yoko. Seeing Reed unable to beat Syrus and his Joker monsters was unbearable enough, but combining that with him using his Reversed powers to convert Trout proved to be more than she could handle. Her appetite wasn’t just lost; it was spoiled beyond compare.

Meanwhile, at Paradise City’s hospital, Kit was lying on a bed in the recovery room. Julia and Dipper weren’t kidding about how severe his injuries were after his duel with Iggy; his left leg was indeed put in a cast, two of his ribs had to be surgically implanted with plates and screws to stabilize them, and worst of all, his hands were coated in stainless steel pins inside of the bones because they had sustained terrible nerve damage from the brute force of Iggy’s attacks. However, that didn’t stop him from catching glimpses of the Arc League Championship, which he was able to catch just in time to see the true intentions of the tournament and many Duelists getting Reversed.

"The hell..." Kit muttered. "Is that why Dipper went missing?" He gritted his teeth. "Don't tell those Reverse creeps got to him!"

"It's shocking, but this is the way our enemies tried to implement their cruel plan," Henrietta continued. "Once they defeat their opponents in duels, they use supernatural possession to infect them over to their side."

"You lose a duel and become...infected?" Skip asked. "And it's all over?"

"Can all this really be real?" Tate asked.

"It can't be..." Allie whimpered.

"Ah!" Fredrick gasped. "It's horrifying!"

"But do not despair," Henrietta reassured. "We were quite fortunate. Because during the Battle Royals, our heroic Duelists were able to completely repel the inhuman invaders. We owe them our thanks."

The monitors cut to another set of footage right as she finished speaking; this time, it featured the instances of the ten Duelists giving it their all to defeat as many Reversed Duelists as possible. The first clips were the climatic battles that took place in the Volcano Zone. Yuri and Starving Venom fending off their opponents and performing a dual midair attack with Yuto and Dark Rebellion, Sylvio activating Abyss Actor - Evil Heel’s effect to help Julia free Dipper from the Reverse’s clutches, Yuya taking on Moon Shadow to obtain a beneficial ally in the Universal Joker War, you name it. Every single moment captured for the audience to see.

Those who were looking away or covering their eyes caught snippets of the duels, and with their sight begging to get a better view of it, they gradually found the courage to observe those resisting the invasion. The combined valiant efforts of the finalists, preliminary contestants, and those who didn’t take part in the tournament to purge everyone from their demonic prisons was visually like a contagious plague. One by one, which became more and more until everyone in the stadium marveled at the highlights of the Battle Royale’s last few hours, the audience members soon felt the fear and panic bubbling from within dissipate, relaxing their bodies as their initial denial turned paranoia transform into mesmerized silence. Even Yoko, Skip, Allie, Frederick, and Tate couldn’t stop gazing at the wondrous spectacle, but there was one distinct scene that took them all by surprise. They all raised their eyebrows out of bewilderment when they witnessed Rise Falcon carrying Frighhtfur Chimera to prepare a combo attack of their own. But how can that be? Not too long ago, Frightfur Chimera gave the audience a scare when battling against the Raidraptors, so why are they suddenly working together?

"These Duelists standing before you will form an elite team known as the Lancers to take on these alien threats," Henrietta explained. "Thanks to their selfless actions, our world is safe for the moment. We don't know when the Reverse will attack again, but we can be certain they will. That is why I have to ask everyone to leave the fighting to them. If anyone comes across a Duelist with similar red markings, let the Leo Institute handle it. We still don't know what their true power is, so it is best to avoid combat in case of possible infection."

Declan was next to speak up. "The world has changed," he informed. "The peaceful days of happiness we all once knew are sadly a thing of the past now. You just entered a new age, an age of fear and unknown. Because of this, Paradise City is hereby under a state of emergency. All students of the Leo Institute are reported to stay within the school at all costs for their protection. But fear not. Because I, Declan Akaba, will lead the Lancers into battle like legendary knights. And like those honorable ancient heroes, these Lancers will meet their enemies and defeat them!"

Without any further delay, everyone erupted back into cheering and applauding, with the inclusion of them chanting “Lancers rule!” over and over again. Sylvio waved his arms up and down, basking in the glory from the audience. As for Yuya, his eyebrows lowered and his mouth opened to reveal his upper and lower sets of teeth biting down on each other in a worryingly manner; basically, his face showed great concern about the Lancers ordeal and what would happen if the mission goes wrong, or worse. Julia, on the other hand, directed her head towards the audience, specifically to where Skip, Yoko, Alley, Tate, and Frederick were sitting, wondering if they knew what happened to Zuzu or not.

Dennis quickly took note on Julia's expression and leaned closer to her. "Don't worry," he whispered. "I'll tell her father about our current predicament."

"I'll come with you," Julia decided.

"No, you should go to the hospital for your friend," Dennis decided. "It was my responsibility to look after Zuzu, but I failed to protect her. I should be the one to explain what happened."

Julia look hesitant, but ultimately sighed. "Fine," she whispered. She handed over Zuzu's hair clips. "But make sure he doesn't slip any info to Yuya."

Dennis nodded in response and reassured Julia he will make sure Yuya doesn’t find out; it was for the best after all. Of course, he did take note on someone staring at his friend. In the audience was Yoko, who fixated her sight on her son with an unique form of apprehension on her face. She could tell something was wrong with him yet she wasn’t sure what needed to be done if he was going to have the confidence to defeat the Reverse. Nonetheless, Dennis knew she needed to hear the news. At least it would give her some understanding as to what’s wrong with Yuya.

Shortly after the announcement, Dennis, Sora, and Yuri all met up with Yoko, Skip, Alley, Tate, and Frederick. Julia would join with the Fusion trio since they all have the best documentation on Zuzu’s fate, but the Performage user was right; it was best for her to check on Kit in the hospital while he takes responsibility for the situation.

“Hey, where’s Zuzu?” Alley asked.

“Isn’t she coming?” Frederick questioned.

“Yeah. Where is she?” Tate chimed in.

There was no response from any of the three Duel Academy students except the movement of Dennis’ arms as he presented the periwinkle hair ties resting on his hands.

Skip immediately recognized them and asked, “Hey, aren’t those Zuzu’s? What are you doing with them?”

"I'm sorry, but Zuzu is gone," Dennis explained. "As in gone, gone."

Yoko and Skip were surprised to hear that. "Whaddya mean?" the Duel School instructor asked.

"I did everything I could to protect her, but..." Dennis started to explain, but he clenched his teeth and forced back a sob, unable to continue speaking.

"Long story short, Miss Zuzu Boyle was infected by the Reverse," Yuri spoke up. "She's now fighting alongside the enemy invaders."

A stunned Tate asked, "Enemy invaders?"

"While the Battle Royale was going on, many students at Duel Academy who had fallen victim sought to spread their 'gift' with the others, starting with the Battle Royale participants," Sora explained. "In the midst of the invasion, a girl named Celina caught Zuzu and Dennis off guard and she easily Reversed her lookalike."

"Zuzu got Reversed by someone who looks similar to her?" Skip asked.

"But why would she do that?" Frederick added.

There was no response from any of the Duel Academy students, but judging from Dennis' face, he might have a hunch. In his head, he recalled the very moment Zuzu became the Reverse's newest pawn. From the emotionless, droning tone in her face and her newly obtained facial features to her Joker Monster that sent her hair clips flying out of her pigtails and transported her to Reverse Academy. The unraveling situation left Dennis, Sylvio, and a teary-eyed Julia mortified as an evil laugh intensified from Celina's wicked grin.

"You maniac! What did you do to Zuzu?!"

"I liberated her. Now my mission is finally complete."

With a raise of her hand, the Lunar Eclipse card she took out seeped of thick, black fog, allowing her to escape in time while Julia angrily charged towards her. When the fog cleared, the trio went through an array of emotions: Dennis was in disbelief, Julia was left in anguish, and Sylvio honestly felt useless in all of this. This was where the flashback ended as Dennis collected what Celina mentioned before retreating back to the Fusion Dimension. Liberated her… He knew what she did to her and Zuzu's other counterparts, Rin and Lulu, but why did she do this? What was she hoping to gain through "liberation"?

"Are you sure Yuya can't know about this?" Yoko asked.

Sora looked worried. "With all the stuff he's gone through, he mind end up feeling worse if he finds out," he admitted. "Especially since..." His voice trailed off.

"I know what happened to him," Yoko interrupted. "Yuto told me everything." Her hands started trembling. "But...I still can't believe something like that got to him. He wasn't even smiling when he got back. What if he can't smile again?"

"You have nothing to worry about," Yuri said. "Celina was the one who started this whole thing." He raised his Duel Disk-strapped arm. "She killed someone very dear to me and I have vowed to avenge him. I have a feeling her defeat will put an end to this madness."

"You better fix it," Cat Dancer added, having already materialized next to Yuri. "And make sure my owner is back to her old self."

"Right..." Yuri muttered through gritted teeth. In all honesty, he momentarily forgot about Cat Dancer's spirit being right next to him.

"You promised!" Cat Dancer pointed out. "So don't even think about hurting Celina!"

Hurting Celina? Yuri may be sadistic, yes, and he enjoys taking pleasure in fulfilling his missions in a sociopathic and malicious manner; as far as he's concerned, the only harm he has ever done is carding the residents of the XYZ Dimension and kidnapping Lulu and Rin. Physically hurting her through dueling or any other method was not in his jurisdiction, and if his self-serving ideals and constant victories are what he'll need to return Celina to normal, then so be it.

His goal may be set in stone, but he didn't notice everyone staring at him curiously and a bit peculiarly, wondering why he suddenly muttered to himself and became lost in thought. "Why are you all staring at me like that?" he asked.

"You were talking to yourself again," Sora pointed out.

Yuri tensed up a bit. "It's...complicated," he tried to explain. "You see, I-"

Before he could even have a chance to start explaining, approaching footsteps were heard from behind him. As the three Obelisk Blue students turned to see who it was, Skip and Yoko both recognized the person from his eggplant hairstyle and his new pair of glasses. Frederick, Tate, and Allie wondered why he suddenly showed up; they hardly knew him yet he looked oddly familiar, especially given the uncanny resemblance he has to Yuya and Yuri.

"Yuto?" Yoko asked. "What are you doing here?"

"I need a private place to duel," Yuto answered. "Do you have any ideas?"

A specific location came to Yoko's mind. "I do, but-"

"Good," Yuto interrupted. "You need to take me and Yuya there right now."

"What about us?" Tate asked.

"Sorry, but it's kind of personal," Yuto apologized. He looked back at Yoko. "Now where is this private dueling spot?"

Later that night, in the outskirts of the downtown area, there stood an abandoned arcade building. The structure made it appear as if it was actually an old, vandalized warehouse, but the exterior designs would like to say otherwise. On the front entrance, a miraculously unscathed sign read "AMUSEMENT DUEL" and there was also a very familiar decal of a yellow shooting star with a green, purple, and orange tail falling from the right on the entrance's worn-out wall. The right side of the arcade, however, evidently showed signs of wear and tear. The sign that read "GAME" was cracking and the "M" was the only crooked letter, the wall had lost large chunks and was vandalized with "KPC" and "DRAW" written on the bottom left and right corners respectively, and yet for some odd reason, the image of the two Duel Monsters cards and the "BOWLING", "BATTLING", "DARTS", "RIDING", and "TENNIS" remained unharmed."

The inside was where it emphasized the current state of the arcade at its worst. The windows, ceiling, and walls were all cracked and minorly destroyed in random areas, scattered rubble and debris were littered all across the floor, a doorway was partially boarded up with only a few wooden planks, and there was even an unused ARC System hanging from the ceiling. In the room stood a confused Yuya, turning his head to virtually stare at every corner of his surroundings and trying to figure out why he was sent here. He would quickly realize that he is not alone.

"I see you got my message," Yuto said as he stepped forward.

"Yuto?" Yuya asked. "What are you doing here?"

"Isn't it obvious?" Yuto asked in response. "We're dueling right here, right now." He raised his hand. "I activate the Action Field Neo Heartland City!"

"AUGMENTED REALITY COMBAT SYSTEM ENERGIZED. GENERATING ACTION FIELD."

Light beams pierced through the Arc System and steam hissed out as it started up for the first time in years. Seeing how it was rendered unused up until now, there were a few briefs moments where it turned before stopping, but it quickly proceeded to rotate like how it normally does when it gets booted up and began generating the Action Field. All around Yuya and Yuto, their surroundings overlaid itself into a new setting as the Action Field materialized from the ceiling to the floor, replacing the wreckage of the arcade with the bright and colorful utopia known as Neo Heartland City.

"Hold on!" Yuya shouted as he raised his hands defensively. "You're challenging me to a duel?! What for?!"

"Because ever since you dueled Declan, you haven't been acting like yourself," Yuto answered. "What happened to the guy who first summoned Flame-Eyes Pendulum Dragon during the Battle Royale? The same guy who dueled with a smile and wanted to entertain others? Don't tell me he was replaced by some downer."

"Yuto..." Yuya muttered.

"Don't talk to me like that," Yuto said as he readied his Duel Disk. "I just want to see your dueling style. It's the only way I can see what's really on your mine. But before we begin, I also want to mention your mom brought me here. She never explained why, only that it served as a special place to her."

Wait, Yoko? If this place means a whole lot to her, then shouldn't she be the one dueling her own son instead of Yuto? Yuya simply stared with evident puzzlement on his face, but that didn't last long as he heard footsteps not too far away. He turned around to see where the source of the footsteps were coming from, and speak of the devil, it was none other than Yuya's mother walking down a set of stairs to witness the duel for herself.

"Mom?" Yuya asked.

"He's right," Yoko confirmed. "I never told you this, but years ago, I was the leader of a biker gang called the Sirens." She smiled fondly as she looked around. "This used to be my old hangout."

That surprised Yuya. "Really?" he asked confused.

Yoko nodded in response. "Back then I was more reckless, only caring about power and defeating everyone with brutal violence. But everything changed when I met your father. He showed me how dueling can be used to entertain people." She held up a card fondly. "Since then I have come to see the enjoyment in dueling."

"Try it and see for yourself," Yoko simply stated, handing out the card to her son. "You might like the results."

Yuya's eyes focused on Smile World held by Yoko's hand. He couldn't believe what he heard; these two got together all because of this card? More importantly, that is how she got into Dueltaining, even if she is more of a spectator nowadays? This felt all too surreal for him. A card that once belonged to Yusho is now being passed down to him. It almost feels like a part of his father will always be with him through his duels now more than ever, especially given the current epidemic. Small tears were welling up in Yuya's eyes from this revelation, but he quickly wiped them away before taking Smile World from Yoko's hand to his own. After a few more seconds of staring, he inserted it into his deck, which was then shuffled thoroughly by his Duel Disk. He looked up to face Yoko, forming an expression to let her know he won't let her—no, his parents—down.

"Thanks mom," Yuya said. "I'll use it well."

"I take it you're ready to duel," Yuto assumed. He proceeded to activate his Duel Disk.

"You bet!" Yuya replied as he also activated his Duel Disk. "I don't know why you challenged me to a duel, but I accept your challenge!"

Yuto smirked in response. "That's all I needed to hear," he said.

En Flowers is activated first.

En Birds uses Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon, Neo Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon, Rise Falcon, Blaze Falcon, Revolution Falcon, and Caesar.

En Birds turns Dark Rebellion into a Normal Monster, but it retains Ranks, instead of Levels. Z-ARC loses the Xyz part of its card.

Apparently the purification animation here is the same as Age of Overlord cards.

En Winds is next, and uses Scarlight Red Dragon Archfiend, Chidori, Raikiri, Swordsmith (not physically printed), and Alexander.

Clear Wing becomes a Normal Monster, and Z-ARC loses the Synchro part of its card.

En Moon is next, and uses Master Spirit Tech (not phystically printed), Frightfur Chimera, Dystopia, and Genghis.

Starving Venom becomes a Normal Monster, and Z-ARC loses the Fusion part of its card.

With En Flowers, each of the Dragons are destroyed.

Though Z-ARC's effect is negated, Z-ARC remained as an Effect Pendulum Monster, since En Flowers does not turn monsters into Normal Monsters. It has no effects on Pendulums, Rituals, or Links.

Since Z-ARC, and Odd-Eyes remained as Pendulums, Z-ARC retained 1000 LP, as they returned to the Extra Deck. This is presumably the in-canon explanation as to why Pendulums have this effect, it bypasses En Flowers' effect damage.

I disliked him when he first appeared cuz EVERYONE was already like “HE VECTOOORO!!!! HE MY SWEET BOOOOOOOOOOY!!! OOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!” and just nuts over him when hadn’t... done anything yet. and then after his duel with yuya i was like, no i like you now when everyone was bitching about him lol :’D

I find him to be a really interesting character and i loved his development and his relationship with yuya and yuzu and how genuine that was and the tipping point for his development was because he had friends now.
