🥹 I hope that actually happens.

That last episode of The Amazing Digital Circus really hit me, because I had a follow up dream!

Something bad happens to Pomni, beyond the normal bad. She’s not abstracting or anything, but she is out of control. Ragatha, desperate to help, turns to Jax. Obviously he doesn’t want to help at first, just playing it off. However, Ragatha says something to him, perhaps apologizing or saying something about Ribbit, but it gets Jax to help save Pomni. Again, not sure what happened, but they succeed.

It ended with Pomni and Ragatha starting to walk away, and she says something to Jax. “You may not care about people, but there are those that care about you.” She walks off, but it left Jax with a lot to think about.

And nothing bad ever happened.

I know today’s episode is gonna be a Funnybunny goldmine I’m just genuinely scared for the fans in case it ends with them just NUKING the relationship because of something Jax says or does.

I’m praying so hard for Funnybunny fans.

Caine doesn't have sole control over the simulation, it seems.

After Caine gets fed up with the players not wanting to engage with his adventure the way he intended, he gives up and decides to just give them a pile of guns to do whatever with instead. He'd rather get to setting up the Favorite Character Awards.

Side note: Caine's insecurities are becoming worse. He can't understand why the players aren't enjoying his adventures, and it's making him question his very existence. I was made for this, so why doesn't anyone like my adventures? he wonders.

Desperate for validation, he orchestrates the Favorite Character Awards in which we, the audience, are obviously going to pick him as our favorite... right? Well, as it turns out, he came last. Realizing this, he glitches out again. And that's all we get to see.

The Amazing Digital Circus is a performance. He must, at least on some level, attribute its success among the audience to himself, being the ringmaster. However, the results of the vote shatter that illusion. If the audience doesn't even like him, no one does. He's left with a deteriorating self-image, likely the cause of his more frequent glitching.

I got a little off track there, but I felt like I needed to sort through my thoughts on that. Anyway, Zooble complains about the lack of directive, so Caine reluctantly introduces a basic ruleset.

Caine: Pair up in teams of two. You all get three lives. Last team surviving is the winner.

Since Jax shooting Ragatha was the catalyst that sparked this adventure into action, she is left starting with only two lives.

Having teamed up with Kinger, she expresses to him how unfair she feels this is, and Kinger, having a moment of clarity, offers her a solution.

Ragatha: Sigh. Man... I'm still missing a heart. This isn't fair.

Kinger: Huh? Oh, I've got just the thing! Here, take this.

Confused, Ragatha asks what Kinger just did. He casually explains that butterflies can restore your health. Unsure of how he was made privy to this, she asks if Caine mentioned it to him. Kinger says no and that he just made it up.

This leaves Ragatha at a loss for words.

As far as I remember, Caine is the only entity within the Circus that has shown the ability to manifest objects out of thin air like this. It's no wonder it left Ragatha speechless. Does this mean all the players have the potential to summon objects, or even alter the rules of Caine's adventures? Does that make Caine obsolete?

I feel like this reveal is too big to have been included as a once-off joke, and I can't wait to see where the show will be going with it.

Thinking about the way Jax got particularly angry when Ragatha called him out for “trying to corrupt Pomni” and rhe way his anger flares when Pomni asks if he considers that the way he acts may cause people abstract.

I’m not saying he caused Ribbit to abstract on purpose, but like what if their last interaction together was something on line with the fight he just had with Pomni.

Methinks we were supposed to focus on the loser of the poll rather than the winner…

so, i was thinking of what clans the teen titans would use in Cardfight Vanguard, and i got 2 (+1 tentative)

Beast Boy: Great Nature (i considered Tachikaze, but he's a vegetarian, so Great Nature it is) (he can build a hammsuke deck for his gerbil commando army now)

Cyborg: Nova Grappler (he's a brawler, and while he's smart, he'd still fist fight more often than not)

Raven (tenative) Shadow Paladin Witches (i'm not too sure on this, i'm sure something else fits her better, but for now she uses witches)

Could Jax’s tail disappearing/reappearing have been a sign of him destabilizing/on the verge of abstracting?! Was him getting it back because he was opening up his walls….will it be gone next ep after what happened between him & Pomni?!

This… this is so depressing.

The whole fight was Jax just playing everything off that nothing mattered, then yelling at Pomni, trying to get her to think of him as the biggest jerk in the universe. The anger that came out from all that. That he’s not some misunderstood person hiding his emotions, he IS just selfish. And that “please…” It carries such a weight. The tiredness in his eyes. He tries so hard to put on this face, but it really fell here.

Jax has been hurt bad, and he tries to cover it up by acting like he doesn’t care about anyone. He doesn’t want to care, because caring might lead to that pain coming back.

And then it was confirmed he has the same issue with pomegranates.

The way Goose tricked us into thinking it was something massive and important… and it was just trypophobia. Honestly I’m okay with that it would’ve been impossible for me to digest more Jax angst than we already got at once.
