I am one of those people who really enjoy eating any kind of liver and I have posted some recipes with it!
Liver is relatively inexpensive in comparison to meat while it's still quite delicious if prepared correctly, so you shouldn't shun it off your shopping list. This particular liver dish is easy and quick to batch up, and have it ready at your dinner table in just 15'.
First, liver is fried followed by some pancetta and then braised briefly in a rich sauce made with honey and mustard, for a tender, scrumptious, umami dish with the contradicting pairing of salty/sweet.
If you love liver like me, let me show you how to quickly prepare it at home.
INGREDIENTS:
• 350 gr. / 12 oz Calf Liver, good quality, fresh or frozen
• 50 gr. / 1.75 oz Pancetta, cubes
• 2 tbsp. / 30 ml Olive oil
• 15-20 ml / 1-1.5 tbsp. Lemon juice from 1 lemon
• 1/4 cup / 60 ml Water
• 1 tbsp. / 15 ml Pine Honey
• 1 tbsp. / 15 ml Mustard, yellow
• 1 Garlic Clove, minced
• 1 tsp. dry Oregano
• Freshly ground Salt and Pepper
METHOD:
A. Fry the liver:
1. Ask your butcher to cut your liver in small strips of 1 cm / 0.4 in thickness. If you have to do it yourself, liver is much easier to cut when it is half frozen!
2. Pour the olive oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
3. When it heats up, add the liver and toss to ensure that the oil covers the strips completely. Sauté them on one side for 2', until golden brown.
4. Flip them over and sauté them for 2' more.
5. Next reduce heat to low, add the minced garlic followed by the pancetta in the pan and sauté them together with the liver for 1', stirring regularly.
6. Deglaze by pouring the water together with the lemon juice, mustard and honey, stirring to blend them well and to make the sauce.
7. Braise the liver for 4'-5'-NOT more-otherwise it will harden!
8. Season with ground salt and pepper, to taste.
9. Turn off the heat!
10. Just before serving, add the dry oregano by pressing it between your palms to release its aromas, mixing it in the sauce. Caution: Add oregano at the last minute, to prevent liver from getting a bitter taste!!
B. Serving suggestions:
Serve fried Liver immediately while still hot with its rich sauce, which has thickened beautifully and complements the liver with its contradicting flavours.
For dinner, you could serve Liver with Pilaf rice, a lemon wedge and some fresh bread to sop up the rich sauce!
Such an easy, inexpensive, luscious, Umami dish for the whole family to enjoy!
C. Storage info:
Fried Liver with honey can be stored in the fridge, covered, for up to 1 week. Reheat it in the microwave.
Sorry...too late 😂!
D. Info about liver:
Beef (and Calf) liver is nutritious food, naturally high in protein, vitamins, nutrients and minerals with a.o. iron! Despite its many health benefits and the fact that people consume other beef products, beef liver is not a popular choice, although it is a cheap alternative and low in calories!

ΜΕΡΙΔΕΣ🍴⃒ ΠΡΟΕΤΟΙΜΑΣΙΑ 🕔⃒
2 10 min.
ΜΑΓΕΙΡΕΜΑ ♨ ΒΑΘΜ. ΔΥΣΚΟΛΙΑΣ 👩🍳⃒
10 min.

The Best of You, Honey, Belong to Me
I curled up in the bones of a corpse. Dead in the woods at twelve. Lost Boy Scout camping. It was cold. I was on the hunt for Death. Little slices of Mr. Grim that I could eat like scuppernongs from the vine. In the South, we rarely get snow. Thick like eider down. Frost creeps in, into bones your ex the cannibal touched. He finds you come morning, when you’ve rotted away. Resurrects you with a kiss, Samael does. Sinew snaps, tendons bend, the maggots you barf are his breakfast. He’s the fucker of corpses, not you – no, Sa’el is sweet Prince Pure. Like a clear river flowing, his white flesh of paper is for your poetry. And he calls you his angel. You call him your sin. But in truth, with Death, you are holy so you build a stained glass cathedral of obsidian, blue, and gold panes, anoint him with spikenard, him dressed as dark Christ in linens wrapped up tight, pallor as cold as the edge of a galaxy. But he’s the Black Hole. The ages of Sheol, gaping maw, but you are his heart – Death’s hunger is you, Lucifer’s rebellion (a story told to girls, run, Eve, be free, I, your Nachash grant you wisdom – you are your own gift.) Tree and snake, wyrm and woman. He takes you to the morgue, dissects in cold Hannibal decorum meat hanging from vines, fries a liver in olive oil (extra virgin) and Chianti. Adds a sprig of thyme. It’s too buttery, this stuff, too dead, so alive it reeks. Everything he cooks is so bloody and raw, cooked yet seared with Tawu. No wonder you vomit, no really. It never ends. It always begins. You are open about him, Mr. Grim, your greatest secret – compose elegies, odes, make him pumpernickel and hor d’ourves, little Devils on Horseback. But what use does Ha Satan have for eggs with spicy mustard and paprika in the filling? He’ll eat it, sure. But his room? It’s filled, old cartons of lo mein, greasy pizza boxes, half drunk coffee cups (he is your favorite way to die, to come back alive in spring, you are so thrumming with life and the children of the Elohim, Rose Bride, sometimes the only hope a witch of spring has is to be eaten alive by the abyss.) Dancing. Piano. Driving fast through the messy streets of Hell aback a White Mustang. Greasy diners with Odin. Endless weed with Loki. Beelzebub’s got a bug up his ass. He and Michael are kissing twins. Lilith seems almost an afterthought. Agrath, Naamah Eisheth – they are separate spheres of whoredom. You are nobody’s whore, Devana of Lightning, hanging with Jewish angels and demons because they have the best drinks. Dumah has hair like sand, Asmodeus thighs like an ox. But Sammael’s seed? It is thick, black, grimy sweet. You smear it on your brow, on your tongue, fuck like the rams of Gilead. Yahweh is a black and comely bridegroom. You are one of a thousand maidens to dance in his evil red shoes. They carry you on into the flames. But Samael said you became Bluebeard in the end, and you have a thousand husbands chained to the radiator in your mansion under skeleton keys. I let my demons out occasionally. Feed them scraps of moonlight. Mostly, I starve them. But not Samael. I am feeding him each breath and hummingbird heartbeat. We fuck. We eat. We devour. We fuck each other. We devour our minds with drugs. We eat each other alive. An unholy ouroboros. And hell, does it feel Good.
#Samael#Satan#Satanist#Satanism#He gave me this idiot dream on CHRISTMAS MORNING???#I had to write it it was so inspired#he comes up with weird ass horror movie shit and then begs for eggs#at least i know how to eat a qliphah

4 Ways to Use Tangy Tomato Ketchup in Cooking Yummy Meals
Tomato ketchup is a quintessential condiment that you will find in every household. It can be used in a variety of ways, which makes it a versatile condiment. This condiment can be used on burgers, pizzas, fries, and so on. It can be used as a main ingredient in cooking a plethora of delicious dishes, enhancing the flavour and making them taste even better. However, you can check out one of the leading FMCG brands, Veeba, for their variety of sauces that include green chilli sauce, mayonnaise, garlic mayonnaise, black bean sauce, and so on.
In this blog, we’ll be exploring four surprising ways to use delicious tomato ketchup sauce. So, let’s get started.
Glaze
To give your meat or tofu that shine, you can combine tomato ketchup with red wine vinegar, curry powder, and honey mustard for that added moisture and sweetness. It can be used to dress grilled salmon or be like a Michelin chef and mix it with balsamic vinegar to make a super-fast glaze for seared or grilled chicken livers.
Barbeque Sauce
If you don’t have barbecue sauce, fret not; you can make delicious sauce by mixing chipotle sauce and maple syrup. Or you can also blend equal parts of the best tomato ketchup and peach jam with a dash of lemon juice to make a sticky and yummy sauce for ribs. You can also make cheesy garlic bread with this interesting combination of ketchup, cayenne pepper hot sauce, molasses, and more.
Stir-fry Sauce
You can use tomato ketchup sauce to make a sweet and sour stir-fry sauce. All you need to make this sauce is garlic, red pepper, ginger, cornflour, and sugar to make the best sauce for making shrimp or veggies as per your preferences. You can also add the sauce to your beef and pork stir-fry and make a delicious, sweet, and sour sauce.
Marinade
To make a delicious marinade, you can add either tomato chilli sauce or plain tomato ketchup. This is because the acidic nature of tomatoes softens the meat, making it more tender and juicy. It breaks down the tough fibres that enable the meat to hold more moisture. The ingredients needed to make this marinade are tomato ketchup, chopped shallots, vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce. Coat the marinade on the meat and leave it for up to 8 hours.
Wrapping Up!
Tomato ketchup is the perfect choice for making delicious meals and can be used in various meals. This condiment is the real star of the show and can be used in many ways. Ketchup can be used in marination, as a dipping sauce, stir-fry sauce, as a dressing, and so on. Well, you can buy ketchup online from Veeba and enjoy your delicious food.

(✿=_=) Hey, y'all. I was hungry so I wiped up this concoction. Can you guess the ingredients?
Answer sheet under the cut.
TLDR (from largest to smallest quantity in dish):
Some liver stew
Honey mustard
Corn
Sausages
Tomato slices
Stir-fried rice
The Long Answer:
I just dug around the fridge and found the last (small) bit of stir-fry and some liver sauce (liver sauce, my beloved), heated them up on a plate then, afterwards, got the bright idea to open a can of sausages, all by myself.
I broke the 'handle' on the top of the can (the thing that you pull on to open said can) and had to resort to opening it w/ a somewhat broken can-opening and some form of specula (yes, my fingers did hurt) alongside fishing the processed, meat tubes out with a fork.
After cutting up a few, heating them up and storing the rest, I threw on mayo (the sauce was peppery & I can't handle spice), tomato slices, some corn and honey mustard (I just wanted to try it) and, tada, a person's late night 'snack'.
Yes, by the time I finally got I chance to eat it, it was already quite cold but a part of me doesn't fucking care. All of the food was already cooked/safe to consume anyways and, honestly, I just really wanted something to eat or else I wake up starving.
The food is not bad, believe or not.
Anyways, I hope you have a nice rest of your day.

Fatty Liver Diet- Foods to eat and avoid
The body stores fat in many places, including the liver, for energy and insulation. A high fat content in the liver may be a sign of fatty liver disease. The first-line treatment for this condition is dietary changes and life style intervention.
Include below foods in your diet if you notice symptoms of fatty liver-
Coffee: One of the best foods to include in your daily routine for the health of your liver is by consuming two cup of black coffee every day. (without sugar)
Whey Protein: Due to inflammation, a low-protein diet might result in a fatty liver. Thus, the ideal protein intake is required for the body to function healthily. (19/Kg body weight)
Green Vegetables: Green vegetables like spinach and broccoli can lessen the accumulation of fat in the liver. Try to consume a lot of lettuce, methi, mustard, broccoli, spinach, and other cruciferous vegetables every day. Including lots of greens to your diet is another excellent weight-management strategy. They not only contain antioxidants but also provides protein in moderate quantity.
Nuts and Seeds: Almonds, walnuts, cashew nuts, flax seeds, chia seeds, pumpkin seeds, and other nuts and seeds are high in poly and monounsaturated fatty acids. This unsaturated fat is known as "good fat" because it is beneficial to the body. Furthermore, nuts and seeds contain omega 3 fatty acids. This, in turn, helps to reverse fatty liver disease. (consume not more than 5-10 nuts a day)
Chicken and Egg: Proteins that are biologically active can be found in chicken and eggs. The body easily assimilates and digests the bioactive protein. A sufficient amount of protein can aid in the treatment of fatty liver disease because a low protein diet is a primary contributor to the fat buildup in the liver.
7 Foods to Avoid on a Fatty Liver Diet
NAFLD is more commonly caused by diets high in sugar and carbohydrates than you might think. Of course, avoiding saturated fat is crucial for both weight loss and general health. But, cutting back on carbohydrates will contribute to improving your fatty liver condition.
Following foods should be avoided if you have fatty liver-
Alcohol: Alcohol is one of the things that should be avoided the most when suffering with NAFLD. Consumption of alcohol will not only cause fatty liver but also can worsen an already existing condition.
Sugar: Reduce your intake of sweets. Even naturally occurring sugars from things like citrus juice and honey should be cut down.
Refined carbs: White carbs like spaghetti and bread should be avoided. You can swap them out for whole-grain substitutes like quinoa, whole wheat bread, and pasta made from black beans.
Fried foods: Fried foods are rich in fat and sugar, including French fries, chips, chicken wings, doughnuts, etc. Thus, eating these meals causes your blood sugar to increase, which is one of the causes of NAFLD.
Saturated fat: Any form of saturated fat should be avoided, including that found in butter and red flesh. Instead, swap it out for healthy fats like cold-pressed nuts, avocado, and olive oils.
Red meat: Saturated fats are prevalent in red meats like beef and pig. If you have fatty liver, it is not advised to eat red meat as it will add to the excess fat content in the liver. If these foods are not processed properly they can cause inflammation which will worsen the condition of the liver.
Poor diet, obesity, pre-diabetes, genetics, and poor gut health can all contribute to Fatty Liver Disease. If you have a fatty liver, avoid sugar, white carbs, alcohol, salt, and saturated fat. Overall, you must eat a healthy diet and maintain a healthy weight and blood sugar level. A healthy lifestyle, regular physical activity, water, and sleep patterns all help in maintain to a healthy liver and overall good health. Consult a specialist as soon as possible to begin treatment for fatty liver, which will help the condition improve more quickly.

BOOTH 11: THE DWARVEN VANGUARD
The Dwarven Vanguard is once again excited to bring to you, the Flavors of Khaz Modan booth once again this year! Come eat and drink the finest the Dwarves have to offer and if you're feeling lucky, sign up for our drinking game!
FLAVORS OF KHAZ MODAN: FOOD AND DRINK
ODRON’S DRINKING GAME
FOOD AND DRINK
The Dwarven Vanguard is bringing a full arsenal of ales and brews to share with our friends at the Tournament of Ages! Below is a brief description of each. Dwarven drinks are not for the faint of heart, so mind your livers!
Weak: Thunder Ale
Distilled at the famous Thunderbrew Distillery in Kharanos, this mild drink carries a warm tone. Smooth and easy to drink, this is sure to warm up any who travel in Dun Morogh - or Icecrown!
Rhapsody Malt
The secret to our delicious ribs, this single malt whisky is aged for three years. Tasting of caramels, cinnamon and lacking the bite of stronger drinks it is paired best with its counterpart: ribs!
Northrend Honey Mead
The bees in Northrend make a delicious honey that has a complicated taste. Sweet, a touch sour and refreshing, this mead is sure to please.
Medium: .
Dwarven Stout
Ironforge’s own, these stouts are what keep our soldiers alive on the frontline! Full-bodied, almost chocolatey and carrying a tinge of spice, who needs water with this around?
Dun Modr Peat Whisky
Peat from the swamps of Dun Modr, The Vanguard’s base of operations, is dried, crushed, then the malt is triple smoked, adding a hint of salted caramel flavor. Artificially aged in brew-making Golems, it also carries prominent notes of pine-nuts, toffee, cinnamon and apricot.
Strong: .
Dwarven Mead
Fermented honey in Loch Modan is deceptive. Sweet, light and easy to drink, this mead will have you passed out in Thelsamar before you know it! Badlands Bourbon
Smooth, enjoyed neat or on the rocks, this bourbon carries strong spices and isn’t for beginners. Sure to grow your beard and best enjoyed with some Chops, it’s a wonder they call it’s homeland the ‘Badlands’. Highlands Spirit
Pomegranates, tea, cinnamon and pears are distilled together to create this strong and vibrant spirit. Please do not fly your gryphon and drink. Stormhammer responsibly. Darkbrew Lager
Somewhere between the strong body of a stout and the gentle bite of bourbon, this once-secretive drink is a real novelty. The imperial excellence of Dark Iron craft meets the beauty of Loch Modan, making this drink the perfect toast to Dwarven unity. Sulfuron Slammer
A drink quite literally on fire. Often enjoyed at the Grim Guzzler, or thrown as a weapon, this is likely the strongest drink on offer at the Tournament of Ages and it always draws a crowd.
Old Ironforge
An old Dwarven blend, distilled from barley malted over blacksmith fires, this ale is nice and crisp. Dangerously refreshing, you’ll find yourself reminiscing of the glory days after a couple of these!
The Aerie 8 Year Malt
An untamed spirit with a grassy character owed to the use of wild grains which grow only near the peaks of the Hinterlands mountains. Often touted as the strongest legal drink the Wildhammer Clan offers! Haustvald 25 Year Cask
The magical properties of the Runewood provide a truly unique finish to this vrykul spirit. The Dwarven Vanguard is not responsible for combustion, implosion, liquidation, shrinking, growing, widening, farting and/or death. Plugger’s Blackrock Ale
Before young Dark Irons are ready for Sulfuron Slammers they grow up on this and often get used to it. Full of spice, with a dark fruity twist, this ale is a must-try.
Powder Proof Rum
Made from the sugar mash (or molasses) frequently produced in tropical climes, Powder Proof rum has become a staple within the Vanguard’s navy for its suitability on long sea voyages and its staggering potency. So strong it makes black powder sizzle! Overproof means perfect strength for our sailors.
The Dwarven Vanguard is also bringing a taste of Khaz Modan from the northern wetlands to the Tournament of Ages. Try some of our favorites, from our hearth to your stomach!
Steam-Baked Apples
A peeled tart apple, cored and stuffed with a cinnamon-brown sugar and oats mixture and wrapped in puff-pastry, then flash steamed in a portable pressurized oven. Served with a spoonful of local honey from the Bael Vorn Meadery hives.
"Warm Hammer" Pretzels
A thick braided pretzel in the shape of a dwarven hammer. Served with mustard and a spicy beer cheese sauce to dip in. Can be ordered with or without salt.
Beer Basted Crocolisk
Crocolisk tail tenderloin, braised over several hours in a mixture of spices and dwarven ale, then seared on the grill and topped with crispy onions. Served with a toasted sourdough roll with herb butter.
Kickin' Chimaerok Chops
Bone-on chimaerok tenderloin chop, marinated in a garlic-chili-ginger sauce and wrapped in a thin sheet of bear fat, then grilled over very high temperature to achieve a perfectly cooked chop with a crispy layer of fat. Served with deep-fried mushrooms.
Barbecue Boar Ribs
A half-slab of boar ribs, rubbed with a special blend of seasoning and slow-smoked over a mixture of applewood and whiskey-barrel wood chips. Served with a toasted sourdough roll with herb butter.
"Silverbelt Special"
Three-quarters of a pound of fatty ground bear meat shaped into a patty, cooked medium-medium well. Served on a toasted brioche bun with a spicy harissa spread and topped with arugula, gouda cheese, and smoked bacon. Served with thick-cut deep fried potato chips.
Pickled Pig Snout
Pig snout, pickled in an earthy, spicy brine. Only the brave order this.

Paleo for Picky Eaters: 7 Tips for Kids and Adults
There’s no one set definition of “picky eater,” but in general, picky eaters refuse to try new foods and/or eat only a very limited set of foods. Depending on which study you look up, the percentage of people who are picky eaters varies a lot although it does tend to peak in the toddler years and go down by age 6 or so. Some people are picky eaters for their whole lives, though – there are adults who still gag if they touch a vegetable.
Picky eaters tend to eat less meat (except for processed meat – they’ll eat bologna but not chicken drumsticks!) fruit, and vegetables – in other words, basically all the Paleo staples. If this is you (or your kid), the thought of eating meat and veg every day might seem totally overwhelming – here are 7 tips to help make it work.
1. Deal with any digestive issues right away
Some picky eaters report feeling really full, really fast, or they get bad heartburn. Other people are picky specifically because they know that lots of foods irritate their digestive system, so they feel nervous about trying new ones. Some suggestions for dealing with this:
Digestive enzymes – can help with the feeling of food sitting like a brick in your stomach.
Probiotics – can help with gassiness, bloating, diarrhea/constipation, and assorted other gut problems. Probiotic foods are good in theory, but could be really challenging for people who are already picky eaters.
Fiber supplements – picky eaters tend to have lower fiber intake and more issues with constipation. If that’s a concern, a fiber supplement might be helpful.
Food sensitivities: if you’re sensitive to FODMAPs or fructose or anything else, get it off your plate
This is really the low-hanging fruit of picky eating: if your (or your child’s) pickiness is really caused by digestive reactions rather than taste/texture aversion, then you can get pretty far just by healing your gut.
2. Lean on “gray area” foods for the transition.
It rarely works well to go cold turkey from a diet of hot dogs and white bread to a diet of liver and raw broccoli, especially for a picky eater. A more reasonable approach could include adding new foods slowly while seeking out more Paleo-friendly alternatives for staples. For example, plain white rice with butter is better than bread, if only because white rice doesn’t contain the same antinutrients that wheat does.
Or if the picky eater in your house will only eat super processed meat (bologna, hot dogs, etc.), what about some healthier versions of those? There are lots of Paleo-friendly organic hot dogs in the world; they’re a bit more expensive, but they do exist. Work with what you have, and slowly move towards a more unprocessed direction.
3. Find foods and preparation methods that work with your (or your child’s) tastes.
There’s no one single food that’s required for Paleo, and with a little creativity, you can accommodate a lot of different tastes. Depending on what specifically is the issue, here are some suggestions:
General aversion to new foods: repeated low-pressure exposure (even just having it on the table so you can see/smell it can be helpful), imitation foods like Paleo bread/bread mixes, and vegetables in the same family as ones you already like. For example, if you already like carrots, try rainbow carrots, beets, and winter squash. If you already like onions, try leeks. If you already like broccoli, try cauliflower, broccolini, or Chinese broccoli.
Won’t eat meat unless it’s breaded/fried: Use almond flour or almond meal as a breading instead and carry right on! For example, try these mustard-crusted drumsticks.
Sensitive to bitterness/hates vegetables: it’s OK if you don’t want to eat tons of vegetables at first. Eat lots of animal foods and berries and use lots of spices for the antioxidants. When you start adding vegetables, roast them with lots of fat and add salt to taste. Or try sweeter vegetables with honey or maple syrup in the sauce, like these honey-roasted carrots or this this stuffed squash.
Won’t eat anything mixed: no problem; separate everything, just do it with Paleo foods!
4. Cutting caloric drinks might help.
Some research suggests that picky eaters make up for the food they won’t eat by drinking milk, juice, or other high-calorie liquids between meals. Water is always fine, but taking away calorie-dense drinks between meals might be the perfect way for a picky eater to work up enough of an appetite to legitimately want food at mealtime.
And as a bonus, getting rid of caloric drinks between meals will also help cut down on some of the extra sugar. Picky eaters already tend to eat more sugar than non-picky eaters; getting rid of fruit juice and sugary soda can really help. Can’t stand plain water? Try sparkling water, flavored soda water, or slowly diluting juice with water a bit more each time.
5. Don’t stress too much about nutrient deficiencies
This review found that picky eaters generally aren’t that much more at risk of nutrient deficiencies than typical eaters. Granted, typical eaters on the standard American diet aren’t usually doing so hot nutrient-wise, but they’re not typically keeling over from scurvy or rickets. Vitamin E and folate were nutrients of some concern for picky eaters, but unless the person is literally eating only five foods or something totally extreme, the review indicates that it’s not likely to be an emergency. Humans are resilient creatures and adapt well to even less-than-ideal diets – there’s plenty of time to ease into things and add new foods slowly.
6. For kids, texture exposure might be key
This study found that when researchers gave picky children a yogurt that they liked, changing the texture would cause them to reject it even though changing the color didn’t. This study also suggested that texture plays a huge role in picky eating. Specifically:
Eggs seem to be problematic, for whatever reason.
Slimy/mushy textures are unappealing (slimy food is gross to just about everyone, but mushy foods like applesauce, overcooked vegetables, etc. bear mentioning).
The texture of raw vegetables can be challenging.
None of these are required on Paleo and you can skip them all if you like! Or skip whatever other food is just Not An Option for you.
Fascinatingly, this study found that when children could play with a texture with their hands first, they were more likely to eat foods with that texture. Asking kids to help arrange or prepare raw vegetables (like carrot sticks or orange slices) might be a good way to get in that first exposure.
7. Make it a dialogue
This study takes an interesting perspective: a lot of “picky eating” is in the eye of the parent. It’s normal for kids to temporarily go on crazes for particular foods or refuse to eat certain foods for a while. It’s not personal; it’s just what kids do. If parents get really anxious about this and start pressuring the kid, the kid picks up on it and gets anxious and resistant right back, and boom: an actual problem is born!
And high-pressure tactics don’t even work that well – this study found that pressuring kids to eat wasn’t associated with them actually eating more vegetables. Insisting on the short-term goal (getting the kid to eat the food on the plate right now) takes away from the long-term goal (teaching healthy eating patterns/habits for life).
Instead of insisting on a particular outcome, the first study suggests…
Giving a choice: instead of “You have to eat all the vegetables on your plate,” try “would you like carrots or broccoli?”
Accepting a certain number of bites as a compromise
Explaining why certain foods are good to eat
Asking the child how he/she feels (“Does your stomach feel full?”)
Involving the child in grocery shopping/meal prep
Basically, instead of “I need to make my kid eat this,” the approach is “my kid and I will communicate to help him/her learn and practice healthy eating patterns.” No word from the authors whether this approach works with spouses, partners, and the inner five-year-old that lives inside all of us, but it can’t hurt to keep the focus on building long-term habits rather than fixating on any particular piece of broccoli.
As for the individual household rules – like whether you will or won’t make separate meals for the picky eaters, or what kinds of snacks are allowed between meals – that’s for each family to decide based on what works for them, but the dialogue/long-term approach is a good way to start thinking about it.

Clean Eating: How Good Is It For You
#cleaneating is the newest trend in the diet and nutrition industry. The working principle of clean eating is that eating natural, whole foods and avoiding processed ones can help promote your overall health. But, many health experts are suspicious about the big claims of clean eating because this might be just another fad.
What is Clean Eating?
Clean eating is a simple diet approach to eating nutritious and whole foods and dodging processed foods. Clean eating is not just a diet. It is also a way of living.
You will eat foods in their natural state, without chemicals, and packed with nutrients – like fruits, veggies, protein, healthy fats, and whole grains. And you will completely avoid processed or refined grains, salty and sugary foods, foods with preservatives and additives, and unhealthy fats and proteins.
Follow this eating habit repeatedly and cleanse your system. It will have a positive effect on your mind and body.
Clean Eating Benefits
Here’s why you should practice eating clean:
Get an overload of dietary fiber (good carbs), lean protein, healthy fats, and vitamins and minerals.
No more frantically counting calories.
Improve your gut function.
Alleviate constipation.
Strengthen your immunity.
You will feel revived and energetic.
Weight loss.
Your mental stress levels will reduce.
Your mind will be calm.
No bloating.
You will be proactive at whatever you do.
Improve the health of your skin, hair, and nails.
Reduced risk of various lifestyle-related diseases.
You will sleep better.
Clean Eating Strategies That Work
1. Consume Unprocessed Whole Grains
Compared with refined grains, whole grains are naturally richer in dietary fiber, containing ∼80% more dietary fiber than refined grains. Hence, it is best to eat nutritious, unprocessed whole grains as they help to decrease the risk of diabetes, heart disease, and cancer and aid weight loss.
Consume 3 servings (1 serving = 16 g) of whole grains per day. Include oats, red rice, quinoa, brown rice, wheat, barley, black rice, and corn in your diet.
2. Consume Lean Protein
Lean proteins like wild-caught fish, mushrooms, free-range eggs, skinless chicken breast, and lentils are ideal.
Proteins are the building blocks, and you must eat a serving of protein with every meal. Also, proteins from plant and animal sources will prevent muscle loss.
3. Include Healthy Fats
Healthy fats like nuts, melon seeds, avocado, flax seeds, and sunflower seeds are excellent sources of healthy fats. You may also add homemade nut butter and virgin olive oil and rice bran oil for cooking.
Healthy fats are chiefly unsaturated fats that help decrease inflammation in the body. And that, in turn, helps lessen inflammation-induced obesity.
4. Consume Fruits And Veggies
The WHO and Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations recommend eating five servings of fruits and vegetables per day. Eating fruits and veggies has also been linked with reduced weight and lesser health problems.
So, start consuming at least 5 servings of mixed veggies and 3 servings of 3 different fruits per day.
5. Limit Added Sugar Consumption
Limiting added sugar in several processed and packaged foods will take care of many health issues like diabetes, reduced brain function, non-alcoholic fatty liver, obesity, and a few cancers.
While you are supposed to eat no more than 6 teaspoons of sugar per day, bad food habits can make you eat as many as 25 teaspoons of sugar per day! Avoid foods (including sauces and salad dressings) that contain ingredients like fructose, corn syrup, high fructose, dextrose, concentrated fruit juice, molasses, invert sugar, etc..
6. Read The Label
Always read the label. Not to see the calories but to see what ingredients are being thrown into the canned or packaged food that you are picking to eat. You will find that most of these foods are packed with preservatives and additives that are possibly toxic to your health in the long run.
7. Avoid All Kinds Of Processed Foods
Processed foods like frozen foods, instant noodles, sausage, salami, and ready-to-eat foods are a strict no-no. You should also bypass processed foods like packaged milk, readymade flatbreads/pita bread, baby spinach, chopped veggies, yogurt, cheese, and whole wheat pasta.
Maximum processed foods are low in nutrients and filled with chemicals and preservatives.
8. Shop Along The Perimeter
The margin of any supermarket is where you get all the whole grains, veggies, fruits, and healthy fats. If you want to eat clean but get easily attracted to packaged food, it is best to avoid moving around those shelves until you develop clean eating as your new lifestyle.
9. More Than 10 Ingredients, Put It Back!
The more the number of ingredients in a food, the more harmful it is. Trust you me! Processed foods have a number of ingredients to enhance their shelf life, increase their taste, and stop them from getting spoiled.
So, while seeing the label, if you find more than 10 ingredients, it is best to put it back and choose for a substitute that has a lesser number of ingredients. Eat whole and pure foods.
10. Take Care Of The Environment
By eating more plant-based foods, decreasing meat intake, and bypassing processed foods, you will help reduce the carbon print. You will help decrease the use of herbicides and pesticides, decrease the practice of injecting hormones into fish and other meats and reduce the level of air, water, and soil pollution.
Can Clean Eating Help in Losing Weight?
Yes, you will lose weight if you eat clean. Because you will eat:
a lot of dietary fiber from whole grains, fruits, veggies, and nuts
lean proteins that will help you build muscle and increase your metabolism
healthy fats that will help match the omega-6 and omega-3 ratio and reduce inflammation and stress in your body.
You will also avoid a lot of foods that have more unknown calories (like added sugar) and salt (causes water retention in the body), which will help in weight loss even if you don’t work out regularly.

Is Clean Eating Backed By Science?
No, the advantages of clean eating are not backed by science.
Yes, eating veggies, fruits, and other whole foods will help you lose weight and decrease the risk of various diseases. But many scientists think that the concept of clean eating should be linked to “healthy eating” and not “eating pure foods” or “avoiding dirty foods.”
Many others consider that the concept of clean eating may give rise to eating disorders.
Precautions
Treat clean eating as “healthy eating” and incorporate all food groups in your diet to get balanced nutrition.
Do not get controlled with eating only organic, raw, gluten-free, dairy-free foods. The more you treat food as your opponent, the worse it becomes.
Do not let clean eating make you zealous or depressed if you couldn’t stick to it.
Bottomline
Clean eating is a healthy eating and lifestyle theory that we support you to take up. But, with it comes to the responsibility of eating mindfully. Choose good food, local fruits, and veggies, and avoid trans fats, and you will be all good. Today’s clean eating idea might get wiped away by a new nutrition revolution tomorrow. So, try and see if clean eating is something that you really enjoy and if it works for you.

Gehennian weather
Gehenna has very little variety when it comes to its weather system and the closest that it can be related to is an Assian desert. The climate is very hot and dry and temperatures rarely fall below 40 degrees Celsius. A thick layer of heavy black clouds helps maintain this scorching temperature on the surface below. The cloud cover is far from static and there are regular lightening storms which can be seen darting to and fro amongst the cloud cover. Sandstorms are another common occurrence, whipped up by the strong Gehennian winds that blow in from the vast plains outside the city. These winds are hot and dry and the sandstorms cover every surface but rarely cause any other damage. There is no rainfall or precipitation of any kind in Gehenna
Trade in Gehenna
One might believe that due to the nature of it’s location that Gehenna would have little or no trade with other realms. This is very much untrue and Gehenna has quite the number successful trade agreements with Assiah and other realms
The demon realms main exports are its magickal objects, spell books, curses and hexes, generic spells, potions, herbal remedies, weapons, armour, silk, fur, leather, bones, (ground and whole), horns, wine, gemstones, gold, silver and jewellery
Its imports consist of a lot of foodstuffs including, sugar, chocolate, dried fruit, honey, salt, spices, yeast, tea and coffee, Also cotton and other textiles, various grains, wood, oil, rope, nets, seeds, paper, tin, perfume and soap. There is also a popular trade in what are seen as precious objects mainly from Assiah, these can be commonplace objects that range from a human child’s toy, a household object or a piece of broken technology.
The higher ups in Heaven are divided as to whether Gehenna should be allowed to trade with other realms, their compromise is to limit the amount of goods bought and sold. These sanctions grow ever tighter which in effect have caused an upsurge in smuggling and a thriving black market. Satan turns a blind eye to these illegal activities, in essence showing his support, although he has never outwardly admitted this. It is universally known that the citadel takes regular deliveries of black market produce and Assian goods.
Gehennian food
Gehenna is not known for its exquisite culinary fare and the majority of it’s population eat a very basic diet consisting of meat and black potatoes, which is also commonly eaten in the form of a hot broth or soup, this is ideal for poorer large families as the food will go further and last longer.
Meat is eaten raw, roasted and boiled, it is also turned it sausages, offal is also eaten, along with eyeballs which are very popular. The most popular meat is of the local herdbeast, which is a large black and purple cow type creature with six horns and a ferocious temper. The females which are even larger are used for their milk. Gehenna has other livestock, including boar and domesticated fowl.
Fish of various types are also available; the river Styx holds a plentiful supply of fish, shrimp, eels, shellfish and other river creatures.
A thick spiced porridge type dish called Grulek is eaten by those who cannot even afford meat. This has little nutritional value as it is made of grain and water and little else.
Bread is also a staple part of the demon diet and takes the form of a well baked hardbread, dark in colour and baked into large round loaves. Sweet pastries are a particular favourite, these are small loaves packed with imported dried fruits and spices then soaked in honey and sugar. These sticky and very sweet treats are a favourite with demon adults and children alike and are served at banquets in the citadel.
A typical menu at a banquet would consist of at least 5 courses:
First course
Meat pottage which is a thick broth packed full of offal, herbs and spices, this would be accompanied by blackened hardbread
Second course
An array cold meats and offal, often mixed with spices. Hard boiled salamander eggs cooked in honey and mustard. Salted grain biscuits.
Third course
Roasted herdbeast, fowl and boar cooked in gravy, kidney and liver fritters cooked in eyeball jelly, pickled goblin eyeballs, stuffed herdbeast lung, river styx eels in a spiced puree, roasted goblin tail, boiled black potatoes, fried blue spot mushrooms.
Fourth course
A selection of savoury, spiced and sweet pastries, cakes and tarts.
Fifth course
Sugared cockatrice heart and liver. Herdbeast cheese, dried sugared fruits, sweet grain biscuits.
Wine, spiced ale and honey mead would also be served in plentiful supply at every banquet

The Ultimate Guide To The Ketogenic Diet For Beginners
Have you tried different fad diets? Do you often starve yourself but every time end back to the same square? Well, if so, then you must give a try to the keto diet. It's simply an amazing low-carb diet that will strip the fat rapidly.
If you have diabetes and want to lose weight, the keto diet is worth trying. Alongside it also helps you improve your health and battle against serious diseases such as cancer, Alzheimer's and epilepsy.
Let's go straight to the comprehensive guide to the ketogenic diet.
What is the keto diet?
The keto is a low carb diet that is much similar to the Atkins diet. It supports the idea of getting more calories from fats instead of carbohydrates. This reduced intake of carbs enters the body in a metabolic condition known as ketosis.
As a result of ketosis, the body rapidly melts fat reserves for fueling. When it enters the liver, it converts the fatty acids into ketones, which cross the blood-brain barrier and provide a significant amount of energy to the brain.
The ketogenic diet is also involved in lowering blood glucose and insulin levels, which provides tremendous health benefits.
What are the types of keto diets?
Here are the few important types of ketogenic diet;
1. Standard ketogenic diet: This type of diet focus on the consumption of the diet containing high fat (70%), moderate protein (20%) and very low carbs (10%) content.
2. Cyclical ketogenic diet: This is a diet that includes portions of high carbs. You can follow the ketogenic diet for five days and high carbs diet for two days in a week.
3. Targeted ketogenic diet: This diets benefits you with the high carbs intake around the exercises or workouts.
4. High protein ketogenic diet: This diet is much like the standard ketogenic diet but involves more proteins.
The recommended ratio is
5% carbs
35% proteins
60% fats
However, greater researches are conducted on high protein ketogenic diets. Although targeted and cyclical are more sophisticated methods but are suitable for athletes and bodybuilders.
What does ketosis mean?
Ketosis is a metabolic state in which fat melts to provide most of the energy for the body.
This happens when you have limited glucose access, which is mostly the preferred source of fuel for the body.
To start ketosis, one must have to strictly follow a ketogenic diet.
Generally, this needs 20 to 50 g of carbs per day and adds more fat-rich foods, including meat, fish, nuts, eggs and essential oils.
Another important thing for ketosis to begin is the moderate intake of proteins.
However, if consumed in a larger amount, the proteins break down into glucose and disrupt the switching of your body to ketosis.
Nowadays, the frequently used method of weight loss is intermittent fasting.
This method also aids you to enter into ketosis. Intermittent fasting is of different types, but the most preferred way is to limit the food consumption for 8 hours and practice the fast for 16 hours.
To determine whether your body started ketosis or not, blood, breathe, and urine tests are highly preferred.
Some of the symptoms that show the formation of ketone (ketosis) in your body are as follows
Frequent urination
Loss of appetite
Dry mouth
Increased thirst

Notwithstanding these values, if you suffer from diabetes mellitus you should take into account when preparing your meal, in addition to the grams of carbohydrates that each of the foods have, also the glycemic index (GI).
Glycemic food index (GI). Good and bad carbohydrates
The glycemic index measures the intensity and speed with which foods containing carbohydrates raise the level of glucose in the blood (glycemia) after ingestion.
Consequently, foods with a high glycemic index raise blood glucose faster than others with a low glycemic index.
For example, whole wheat bread will have a lower GI than white bread, or pastries, which have it higher.
Diabetics should eat foods with a low glycemic index and only occasionally, better not daily, can ingest those of medium GI for what these lists will be useful, accompanied by the corresponding suggestions of their specialist (doctor or nutritionist).
