I literally just changed out a filter not an hour ago. Fucking Houston pollen is trying to kill me this month.

somehow these current roommates we have are the worst that ive known yet and last semester we literally had a girl who smoked cigs IN her bedroom. list of grievances below lol
#first of all they turn all the lights on all the time. the other day i was hanging out in the living room w one light on bc it was light#enough outside thru the windows and one of them walked in and flipped another light on automatically. then walked through#the living room right to her bedroom... girl youre not even using this room and i was clearly fine with the light level??#they always have all 3 kitchen lights on when they cook and dont turn them off plus none of them have lamps#they all use the Big LED Ceiling Light in their bedrooms which is baffling to us#they dont know how to organize the kitchen and they took up so many of the cabinets with bullshit. like 3 pans here a few plates there#we have like 4 cabinets worth of food and even more of pots and pans and shit bc this is everything we own#and we cant afford to use disposable everything like some of them do#theyre always leaving the fridge open while they cook too and i have to physically hold myself back from becoming my mom#and yelling at them to close the fridge when theyre not actively getting smth out of it!! like theyll stand there cooking and have it open#for 2 minutes straight#theres only room for one water filter pitcher in the fridge and one of them brought a big one which is nice but theyre always forgetting to#refill it which defeats the purpose of even having it#and they always somehow start cooking right when we decide we need to eat#one of them sent this long sort of condescending post abt ants and how it stresses him out when the kitchen is messy so we all need to clean#more and try harder to keep ants away as if 1) ants care at all abt dishes in the sink or stains on the stove and 2) as if the ants will#stop coming around if theres no food out in this building where there are notoriously always ants even on the 4th floor#(we are ground floor this time) and 3) as if he isn't one of the people leaving food around and not taking the trash out#nobody responded to it in the groupchat lmao bc he sounds like a fucking cop!! and is dating an rotc guy??? and also is a streamer or just#likes to play games on vc with friends bc hes always very loudly doing that#but obviously we have sex all the time so we're at a sort of loud noise stalemate where neither of us can complain abt the other#to be clear this is in no way the absolute worst situation theyre nice enough people and havent reported us for anything (they both work for#student housing -_-) and generally things go okay in the apartment#but like. ive never been this annoyed this often with any other roommates#ALSO someone spilled soy sauce all over our designated level of the fridge door where we had all our little bottles of stuff#but also a carton a Paper Carton of milk and a pack of butter standing upright which soaked up the soy sauce and for several days#even after id cleaned the bottom of the carton the best i could i swore it tasted like soy sauce from it soaking into the bottom or smth#but it's still all over everything in there bc it was so much it like. pooled in there and splattered on everything#like. u see that happen u clean it up wtf.??#anyway i just felt like i needed to complain and see if im being silly or if these things really are so annoying

I’m about to make THEE biggest first world problem complaint but I bought a stainless steel water bottle yesterday not thinking about the fact that an insulated bottle will keep my water cold for ages and I don’t…actually want that lmao 😂 give me room temp water or give me death
#I’m getting it filtered out of the fridge and it’s instantly cold and before unless I was actively thirsty I’d let it warm up a bit#but now I’m stuck with cold water lol I filled it hours ago and it’s still cold rip

i was feeling absolutely awful earlier (in the brain) but made myself leave the house & take a little walk to to catch the closing sale at the local employee-owned art store before it’s closed for good and while there i got some different papers and, miraculously, some relief ink (fully expected it to be wiped out) (half price!) (see below) PLUS i also got the phone number of the manager who’s a friend of a friend & ive run into at markets- she told me she’d put more ink aside for me if i let her know which ones i was thinking about 😭
and then on my walk home i accumulated various food objects:
and then when i GOT home there was a box from my sister full of christmas gifts incl. LOTS of tea from both my siblings (i asked them for local chais) & a bunch of the snacks i’d got from nuts dot com for THEM that they apparently tried first & then sent to me
so all is not lost. peace & love on planet earth
#the bubble tea is a new place i hadn’t been to & the pizza is my old corner shop place in my old neighborhood#the bread is from the community fridge!! the mysterious bread benefactor had been there again#i think it all must come from a whole foods or big bakery day olds or something bc whenever they’ve come by they leave a TON#and it’s all always fancy & wrapped nice individually like this#the big ream of white paper is just so i can make some little journals to print covers for & sell#did you KNOW the speedball professional is an oil based water washable?? because /i/ sure didn’t!!#i thought it was a straight oil base so i’ve been ignoring it entirely & this whole time i WOULDNT need solvents with it#anyway suffice to say i feel much better now. and it was a nice walk#i can’t wait to try all this TEA#chatpost#photo record#the two pictures of the box of gifts are weird because there's a twitter filter on them sorry#to try to make up for how damn dark pictures are that i take at my desk at night hahaha#i'm also very excited for the norwegian crackers bc i asked for those special; my sister lives in nyc & she has a place that sells them#they are so GOOD !!#long post

You know how online stores are always pushing you to subscribe for items and even give you cheaper prices if you subscribe? I decided to subscribe for an air filter to be sent to me every three months. It's been more a few days than 3 months and they didn't order it! I would have forgotten if it wasn't for my own phone telling me that I needed to change the filter.
Like for all the production and hullabaloo about subscription, if your app doesn't even work? What's the point?

oh yea in 3 days its gonna be my 1 month anniversary of being in japan???? it literally has barely felt like a weak wtf(<- going thru the horrors)
#def forming some..new alters from this lol#been journalling abt my delusions most of the time just to stay sane(which is what i'd do at home anyway)#i always say shit like 'yea i cant talk to my alters' which im coming to terms with not entirely being true#its just not as much as it used to be. but the more isolated i am the more i notice it#(i was supperrrrr isolated during that og period which is why it got the way it did)#but i think it just comes with getting used to it. its more mixed n blurry when 2 alters are fronting so it makes it less distinct#but there is dialog happening. whether it just be back and forth or a helper coming in to get me thru the night.#'me' being whoevers fronting obv#like. i am in a small room that only fits a bed n a small desk n fridge. the air conditioner kills me stimulation wise. but i need it on.#outside its 29 degrees(hot) at NIGHT but i fight thru it just so i can go on my nightly sanity swings. i cant see the stars.#theres been a cold going around for weeks and i cant do anything about it.#at least the anticipation anxiety for my potential apartment has died down a bit..not entirely but its easier now#idk. even tho i know i'll probably only get the apartment for like 4 months(IF i get it) i have to tell myself its for my benifit#its not a fix all forever home. its a place to finally chill for a bit. to go to the beach. to go on hikes in the forest.#to have a bigger enclosure all to myself#godddd i need to buy a water filter i hate having to go BUY WATER everyday(<- doesnt trust the tap water. per usual.)

Good news: i'm home safely
Bad news: my luggage is not.
Further bad news: I hate living here.

Navi's food has his anxiety meds in it. Tael doesn't need them. And Navi needs the full dose. But fuck that I guess.
And they started relying on a weird system that alerts them when an animal goes out the doggy door at night. so they can yell at the cat if that's who went out. Except if they've already fuckinh run away to be eaten by coyotes or hit by a car. Or ignore it bc they're fucking asleep.
And then when i'm upset at them for fucking up, they tell me i'm being ungrateful and that the cats are fine.
They just couldn't be bothered to take an extra few minutes out of their day to do what I asked in the way it needed to be done.
Just. I've been home 17 hours and I already feel like shit and hate living here.
I'm so fucking tired.
#my parents have stopped getting the regular cat food for the one cag#*cat#and have been giving them both the kidney health wet food#and bc they don't like having cat food in the fridge they give each cat half a can#which they shouldn't have bc it's 33% more than their recommended intake#and effectively made cans that should have lasted four days just one#i pay for the soecialty cat food bc it's expensive as hell#and they fucking quartered the lengtv of time it lasts#abd fuckung changed the cat littwr in my room from pine to clay#which they know makes it hard for me to breathe#not to mention i now have bits of litter all over my room#and on my bed and perpetually on my feey#did i mention the litter is in my fuckinh bedroom?#so i'm the one who has to deal with it#and my mom turned their water foybtain back on despite me explaining that i turned it off bc it was disgusting and needed to be cleaned#and bc she def wouldn'y keep up w it#esp bc i covered the fill line to block the light so i cojld sleep#she didn't fucking clesn it snd when i got vome it was way too low snd i'm worried for the motor#it's so gross and it's struggling bc it needs a new filter and to be cleanex#and she clesrly locked navi in my room alone after telling her multiple times not to#and explainubg thst he woulf break mt door#and i know she did bc she got me a new shoe organiser for the back of my door#and mine was just fine when i left#and my parents started giving the cats treats when they feed the dog in the evenings#WHICH ISN'T A PART OF THE CALCULATIONS FOR HOW MUCH FOOD THEY NEED#and ALSO that means Tael doesn't want to eat at dinner time#but navi does#so navi eats both foods#and may or may not leave any for taek#and tael lukely eats navi's food
