I literally just changed out a filter not an hour ago. Fucking Houston pollen is trying to kill me this month.

SOMETIMES! SOMETIMES! YOU'RE HAVING A PRETTY OKAY DAY AND THEN YOU DISCOVER GREEN ALGAE GROWING IN THE WATER RESERVOIR OF YOUR COFFEE MACHINE!!!!!!!!
#I comfort myself that the water gets filtered and near-boiled when it goes through the machine so I'm probably not going to die or anything#I realize now the problem is that I always top it off from my brita pitcher in the fridge#meaning the perfectly clean chilled water is then sitting in my humid kitchen getting slowly warmed with only slight movement#accidentally creating frankly idyllic conditions for aquatic plant life#like some kind of beautiful crystalline lake#...so maybe don't do that#I wish I took a picture but I IMMEDIATELY dumped it and drowned it in hot soapy water like a woman possessed#anyway how's everyone else's day going?

somehow these current roommates we have are the worst that ive known yet and last semester we literally had a girl who smoked cigs IN her bedroom. list of grievances below lol
#first of all they turn all the lights on all the time. the other day i was hanging out in the living room w one light on bc it was light#enough outside thru the windows and one of them walked in and flipped another light on automatically. then walked through#the living room right to her bedroom... girl youre not even using this room and i was clearly fine with the light level??#they always have all 3 kitchen lights on when they cook and dont turn them off plus none of them have lamps#they all use the Big LED Ceiling Light in their bedrooms which is baffling to us#they dont know how to organize the kitchen and they took up so many of the cabinets with bullshit. like 3 pans here a few plates there#we have like 4 cabinets worth of food and even more of pots and pans and shit bc this is everything we own#and we cant afford to use disposable everything like some of them do#theyre always leaving the fridge open while they cook too and i have to physically hold myself back from becoming my mom#and yelling at them to close the fridge when theyre not actively getting smth out of it!! like theyll stand there cooking and have it open#for 2 minutes straight#theres only room for one water filter pitcher in the fridge and one of them brought a big one which is nice but theyre always forgetting to#refill it which defeats the purpose of even having it#and they always somehow start cooking right when we decide we need to eat#one of them sent this long sort of condescending post abt ants and how it stresses him out when the kitchen is messy so we all need to clean#more and try harder to keep ants away as if 1) ants care at all abt dishes in the sink or stains on the stove and 2) as if the ants will#stop coming around if theres no food out in this building where there are notoriously always ants even on the 4th floor#(we are ground floor this time) and 3) as if he isn't one of the people leaving food around and not taking the trash out#nobody responded to it in the groupchat lmao bc he sounds like a fucking cop!! and is dating an rotc guy??? and also is a streamer or just#likes to play games on vc with friends bc hes always very loudly doing that#but obviously we have sex all the time so we're at a sort of loud noise stalemate where neither of us can complain abt the other#to be clear this is in no way the absolute worst situation theyre nice enough people and havent reported us for anything (they both work for#student housing -_-) and generally things go okay in the apartment#but like. ive never been this annoyed this often with any other roommates#ALSO someone spilled soy sauce all over our designated level of the fridge door where we had all our little bottles of stuff#but also a carton a Paper Carton of milk and a pack of butter standing upright which soaked up the soy sauce and for several days#even after id cleaned the bottom of the carton the best i could i swore it tasted like soy sauce from it soaking into the bottom or smth#but it's still all over everything in there bc it was so much it like. pooled in there and splattered on everything#like. u see that happen u clean it up wtf.??#anyway i just felt like i needed to complain and see if im being silly or if these things really are so annoying

I’m about to make THEE biggest first world problem complaint but I bought a stainless steel water bottle yesterday not thinking about the fact that an insulated bottle will keep my water cold for ages and I don’t…actually want that lmao 😂 give me room temp water or give me death

You know how online stores are always pushing you to subscribe for items and even give you cheaper prices if you subscribe? I decided to subscribe for an air filter to be sent to me every three months. It's been more a few days than 3 months and they didn't order it! I would have forgotten if it wasn't for my own phone telling me that I needed to change the filter.
Like for all the production and hullabaloo about subscription, if your app doesn't even work? What's the point?

oh yea in 3 days its gonna be my 1 month anniversary of being in japan???? it literally has barely felt like a weak wtf(<- going thru the horrors)
#def forming some..new alters from this lol#been journalling abt my delusions most of the time just to stay sane(which is what i'd do at home anyway)#i always say shit like 'yea i cant talk to my alters' which im coming to terms with not entirely being true#its just not as much as it used to be. but the more isolated i am the more i notice it#(i was supperrrrr isolated during that og period which is why it got the way it did)#but i think it just comes with getting used to it. its more mixed n blurry when 2 alters are fronting so it makes it less distinct#but there is dialog happening. whether it just be back and forth or a helper coming in to get me thru the night.#'me' being whoevers fronting obv#like. i am in a small room that only fits a bed n a small desk n fridge. the air conditioner kills me stimulation wise. but i need it on.#outside its 29 degrees(hot) at NIGHT but i fight thru it just so i can go on my nightly sanity swings. i cant see the stars.#theres been a cold going around for weeks and i cant do anything about it.#at least the anticipation anxiety for my potential apartment has died down a bit..not entirely but its easier now#idk. even tho i know i'll probably only get the apartment for like 4 months(IF i get it) i have to tell myself its for my benifit#its not a fix all forever home. its a place to finally chill for a bit. to go to the beach. to go on hikes in the forest.#to have a bigger enclosure all to myself#godddd i need to buy a water filter i hate having to go BUY WATER everyday(<- doesnt trust the tap water. per usual.)

#at our old place we used to just make ice water w the tap cause we had really clean water#but since we moved the water is a lot more chlorinated and it tastes yucky so we bought a brita filter and its sooo good#keep it in the fridge and its always the ideal temperature plus no painful ice on teeth moments! lovely#i love making posts that suck and are bad#molly speaks
