somehow these current roommates we have are the worst that ive known yet and last semester we literally had a girl who smoked cigs IN her bedroom. list of grievances below lol
#first of all they turn all the lights on all the time. the other day i was hanging out in the living room w one light on bc it was light#enough outside thru the windows and one of them walked in and flipped another light on automatically. then walked through#the living room right to her bedroom... girl youre not even using this room and i was clearly fine with the light level??#they always have all 3 kitchen lights on when they cook and dont turn them off plus none of them have lamps#they all use the Big LED Ceiling Light in their bedrooms which is baffling to us#they dont know how to organize the kitchen and they took up so many of the cabinets with bullshit. like 3 pans here a few plates there#we have like 4 cabinets worth of food and even more of pots and pans and shit bc this is everything we own#and we cant afford to use disposable everything like some of them do#theyre always leaving the fridge open while they cook too and i have to physically hold myself back from becoming my mom#and yelling at them to close the fridge when theyre not actively getting smth out of it!! like theyll stand there cooking and have it open#for 2 minutes straight#theres only room for one water filter pitcher in the fridge and one of them brought a big one which is nice but theyre always forgetting to#refill it which defeats the purpose of even having it#and they always somehow start cooking right when we decide we need to eat#one of them sent this long sort of condescending post abt ants and how it stresses him out when the kitchen is messy so we all need to clean#more and try harder to keep ants away as if 1) ants care at all abt dishes in the sink or stains on the stove and 2) as if the ants will#stop coming around if theres no food out in this building where there are notoriously always ants even on the 4th floor#(we are ground floor this time) and 3) as if he isn't one of the people leaving food around and not taking the trash out#nobody responded to it in the groupchat lmao bc he sounds like a fucking cop!! and is dating an rotc guy??? and also is a streamer or just#likes to play games on vc with friends bc hes always very loudly doing that#but obviously we have sex all the time so we're at a sort of loud noise stalemate where neither of us can complain abt the other#to be clear this is in no way the absolute worst situation theyre nice enough people and havent reported us for anything (they both work for#student housing -_-) and generally things go okay in the apartment#but like. ive never been this annoyed this often with any other roommates#ALSO someone spilled soy sauce all over our designated level of the fridge door where we had all our little bottles of stuff#but also a carton a Paper Carton of milk and a pack of butter standing upright which soaked up the soy sauce and for several days#even after id cleaned the bottom of the carton the best i could i swore it tasted like soy sauce from it soaking into the bottom or smth#but it's still all over everything in there bc it was so much it like. pooled in there and splattered on everything#like. u see that happen u clean it up wtf.??#anyway i just felt like i needed to complain and see if im being silly or if these things really are so annoying

MJSEFF COOKING HABITS 🔫
Who washes the dishes by hand and who uses the dishwasher? Seth washes by hand because he can't stand messes and would rather get ahead before it gets out of control. Max uses the dishwasher after letting the dishes pile up for a day or two. Good thing they're on separate schedules, huh?
Who cuts vegetables, fruit, etc by hand, and who uses the easy-to-use chopper? I see both of them using a chopper considering the amount of veggies and fruit they consume on a daily basis. Cutting things by hand takes up a lot of time that they don't have.
Who pours the cereal into the bowl first and who pours milk before the cereal? They both pour the cereal first then milk. What kind of monster does it the other way?!
Who buys/drinks bottle water and who uses/drinks from the tap? They both utilize bottled water a lot. Their fridge also has a filtered water mechanism so, like, tap water isn't chugged often.
Who hoards disposable containers and who throws them away? MAX. Seth throws them away thinking Max won't notice.
Who buys milk in a paper carton and who buys it in a plastic jug? Honestly? I'm guessing they get the plastic jugs.
Who picks paper bags and who picks plastic bags after grocery shopping? Seth picks paper, and Max opts for plastic. They recycle both types though, don't worry.
Who HOARDS the plastic bags and who recycles them? Max hoards them but they both recycle.
Who hoards salt/pepper packs, togo silverware, and other togo condiments? Definitely Seth.
Who lets the garbage can overflow before throwing it out? Max and it drives Seth insane which is exactly why Max does it.
Who gets annoyed when someone doesn’t use the clips for the potato chips? Max. He's starting to think it's Seth's way of getting retribution on him for the garbage can nonsense.
Who uses paper plates? Max.
Who uses coasters? Seth. I can just feel it in my bones that he hates the condensation marks that drinks usually leave on a surface so if he doesn't see a coaster under your drink, it's all he can focus on.
Who licks the spoon/butter knife after they use it? Both.
Who loses the bread ties? Let's be real here. Max.
Who kicks the ice under the fridge when it falls on the ground? Doesn't everybody?
Who constantly cuts/burns themselves when they cook? Max.
Who organizes the spice rack? Seth.
Who uses the microwave more? Considering their respective careers, it's definitely both of them when they're on the road. It's practically a tie. However, when they're at home and have a few days off, it's definitely Max who utilizes it more because he can't be trusted using a stove or oven without adult supervision.
Who stops the microwave one second before time's up? Max, and if he manages to not stop the microwave before one second is left, he'll intentionally set it for another 10 seconds just to do it. He's a creature of habit.

Chapter 14
Little Match Maker
Summary: Your life motto is “I have the power of god and anime on my side, don’t mess with me,” and you stand by that with your life. No human, magician, or random creature could ever stop your firm belief in it.
However, getting transported to this world that seemed to turn your already bad luck worse was not what you wanted to be in your life story, but you made the most of it. Making friends, enemies, and disasters, you were in your prime in this world, and so you decided to help as many people as you could flourish, at least what you believed to be.
Chapter 1:11-12 good credit, bad credit, you dead: ghost credit
Running to the store on campus, so cute.
Warnings: Curse words, implied violence
Words: 3.1k
Relationships: developing but future twstxreader
Ace groaned while face planting on the counter, “We finally finished peeling them all!”
Deuce moaned in pain, “My arms hurt…” He, then, stretched his arms and popped some of his knuckles while rolling his neck.
You agreed with the two boys, “Yeah, I don’t wanna move for the next decade.” You made your seat on one of the stools next to the counter to take a break after standing for what felt like hours.
Trey chuckled at your reactions, “Great work. I’m sure that your hard work will all be worth it.” While you three were sulking, Trey began cleaning up as much as possible by putting things away and putting things in the dishwasher.
Grim grumbled, “I’m getting hungry just by the smell, yanno.” The cat had tried to take as much of the ingredients as possible while you were preparing, but barely managed to get any.
Trey took a sheet of paper out from a binder and sorted some of the ingredients next to some cooking utensils, “The marron base uses butter and sugar. And then, I also added some oyster sauce as a secret ingredient.”
Ace and Deuce jumped up from their positions of dread in shock, “Oyster sauce?!”
Trey placed the sheet down and grabbed a bottle of the sauce, “Exactly. The savory flavor of the chestnuts gives the cream a rich flavor. And then, to make it better, I use this,” He motioned to the sauce in his hand, “‘Walrus-brand young oyster sauce’. There’s no famous pâtissière who doesn’t use this for their tarts, you know?” He ended it all with a closed eyed smile.
Deuce mumbled, “Really…? It’s a pretty salty sauce, isn’t it?”
“You know how they put chocolate in curry, too?” Ace gave an example, “It kinda makes sense…”
You were, on the other hand, not having it, “Naw, dude. It doesn't; sweet can't just nullify salt or reverse. It’s practically impossible.” You shook your head while the two idiots were just pouting in their confusion.
Trey chuckled while clutching his stomach, “You're right! I was just joking! There’s no way I’d put oyster sauce in a dessert, you know? How’d you know?”
The two idiots never would have guessed that.
Ace’s hand’s shot up in his defense, pointing at his senior, “What the heck!? Are you making fun of us!?”
“It’s obviously impossible if you think about it a little.” Trey’s lighthearted giggle switched to a more wise old lecture, “The moral lesson here is that you shouldn’t believe anything you’re told. Learn to doubt a bit, okay?”
You nodded your head, “See, Ace. I don’t gotta learn that because I knew right away.”
You were a genius. In all eyes besides Ace’s, that is.
Ace snorted, “I bet it was a lucky guess.”
You fought back, “Pshhhh. No way.” You knew this was just the start of one of your many squabbles.
Grim whispered to you behind his hand, “This guy looks nice, but he’s the type who can tell lies with no problem, huh…”
“I guess so.” Your eyes widened at Grim’s statement.
Trey rallied you all together to begin the next step, “Next is the fresh cream!”
A shrill scream ran through the air.
Ace bounced up and questioned Trey, “What’s wrong?”
You joined Ace with your question, “Are you okay?”
“I got carried away with the chestnuts you picked that I went overboard with making the marron base.” Trey laughed at himself and rubbed the back of his head, “We’re a little short on fresh cream.”
Deuce offered, “I’ll go buy some. Do they sell it in the school store?”
Trey explained, “That shop sells pretty much anything, so I’m sure it should be there. Can I ask you to buy some other stuff while you’re at it? Two packs of milk, two cartons of eggs, silicon cups, and five canned fruits…” He writes down the list of items and hands them to Deuce.
Deuce reads the list before commenting, “I don’t think I can carry all of that alone…”
This was your chance, “I’ll come! I need to see if they have uniforms there, anyway.” Maybe you could find some uniforms or even some other clothes for a nice price as if you had any money.
Grim interjected, “I’m going, too! I don’t wanna mix more dough!” He raised his little paw as far as his body would allow it.
“Understandable.” You did not need to lose your arms over baking.
The three of you began your walk to the grocery store on campus with only some light chatter about how excited you all were to taste the finished product and how Grim shouldn’t steal it all.
The grocery store was the size of a drug store, but apparently from what Trey said it had everything anyone at this school needed. It’s gotta be a magic store.
“We sure this is it?” You questioned Deuce because he was sure to know more than you, right?
Deuce pointed out, “I haven’t heard of any other shops here.”
Grim quickly agreed, “Yeah, yeah, yeah. Let’s get a move on!”
While still warry, you approached the place behind the two overexcited shoppers, both who had stars in their eyes as someone from a novel would say.
Deuce gazed around the place with wide eyes after opening the door where a little bell rang, “Pardon us! Whoa, what an amazing shop… Crystal skulls, magical texts, and… wh-what sort of animal is this…?” Deuce motioned to an animal’s skeleton that was just laying out on one of the shelves. Grim and Deuce took two steps closer to inspect the animal while you took two steps back.
Grim, who began to travel by himself around the store, questioned Deuce and you, “Can we really find some fresh cream here?”
“I’d be surprised if we couldn't find it.” You opened a box that was filled with dusty books while nodding to Grim.
Out of nowhere came a voice near the counter, “Hey! Little lost lambs, what can I help you with? Welcome to Mr. S’s Mystery Shop.” The man had one of the oddest outfits with a bright pink shirt but then a black and dark purple jacket. His fashion sense was certainly new, but his vibe was what shocked you the most. Almost like he knew too much. What is it that you wish for today? A charm against cheating?” He pulled out a slip of paper from his chest pocket, “ An ancient king’s mirror?” a small mirror from his sleeve, “Or maybe, some cursed tarot cards?” He even pulled a box out of thin air.
Grim was frozen in shock for a moment and joined the conversation with a breath, “Ah, you startled me!”
You added on, “He reminds me of those characters from video games and movies that are just normal store owners or vendors that have some of the oddest items.” Looking at his shop, you believed yourself for a moment.
The three of you made your way to the little counter at the back of the store.
Deuce took out the list from his pocket and handed it to the man, “Um… We would like to buy the things written on this note.”
Grim used his arms to pull his face onto the counter as to be seen and begged, “And I also want some canned tuna!”
“With what money?” You waved at him in disbelief, “And I have a question for you, Mystery man.”
Deuce pushed Grim off of the counter, “No! We will not buy any canned tuna!” which only caused Grim to growl at Deuce.
The male scanned the note while tapping his finger in his chin, “Mhmm. What do we have here? Fresh cream and eggs… Oh, my! What a pretty sweet line-up” He gave Deuce a thumbs up, “OK! I shall bring them out now. And I’ll get back to you in just a minute.” The male nodded at you with a small wink at the end of his sentence.
Totally an odd vibe.
Deuce gasped in disbelief letting go of Grim’s fur, “Whoa… Will he really have some here?”
You voiced your thoughts, “Maybe the back is just really big?”
The man returned with five bags full of items on your list, “Here, thank you for the wait. It is rather heavy, so are you sure you can carry them all?” The male, then gestured to a sign right next to the cash register about a special bag to carry all the items, “If you act now, I can throw in a special bag to carry all of those things for 30% off of its original price!” Deuce took out the money Trey gave him and handed it to the shopkeeper.
Grim blurted out, “What did you say? Hey, that sounds interesting!” The cat grabbed your clothes as he normally does pointing at the sign to get your attention focused on it.
Deuce shook his head while grabbing three of the five bags, “We. We will have to decline! Let’s go, Grim!”
“But why?! I wanna play more!” A pointing Grim was not resulting in a good day for anyone, but at this rate you couldn’t spend money on any food.
“About that question,” You brought it up to the shopkeeper.
The off-vibe man nodded, “Ok, what's the problem, little lost lamb?”
You asked, “Do you sell uniforms or at least know where I can find one?”
“I should have some, but they're all used ones. I’ll even cut the price because of how damaged they are.” He then told you the price which was great for uniforms but as someone who owned no cash, not the best.
You thanked the male as you picked up the last two bags while the other two began to walk out, “Thanks! I’m gonna come back once I have the money, but please save them for me.”
“Ok! of course, little lost lamb. I’ll have them in stock just for you.” He winked at you again, and at this point and time you’re just gonna assume it’s normal for him.
“Thank you so much!!” You responded while finally walking out of the shop.
Once outside, Deuce began a new conversation, “That was a very amazing shop, in a way…”
Grim was still pouting at the two of you for not giving him free food, “Boo, you two are so stingy.” His arms were snuggly crossed over one another and even his ears were flattened against his head.
Deuce swung around to ask Grim, “Who are you calling stingy?!” This, however, almost resulted with Grim getting a concussion because of how the bag of canned fruits and heavy cream knocked Grim to the ground.
Deuce quickly apologized, “Sorry!”
You placed your bag to check on Grim by feeling on his head for any bumps or any scrapes from the bag, “Well, no one would give a brat what they want now would they? I know you want some tuna, but money is tight right now and I can’t get you any for a while. Once I save up enough, I promise I’ll get you some.” You brushed back his hair before flicking at his forehead, “Just remember to keep that ego in check. Soon, who knows, maybe I can even buy a hairbrush and maybe even a phone.”
Deuce coughed before fixing the bags in his hold to reach his hand out to you, “The bag with the milks is heavy, isn’t it? I’ll hold it for you. I’m experienced with carrying heavy loads.”
You shook your head, “No way, lover boy, I can handle myself just so you know. And besides that's an odd area of expertise. Any reason why?” You kept walking to distract the male from taking your bag.
Deuce flushed red before starting his explanation, “Yeah, Mother always takes me with her during timed sales. She buys a lot, so I end up helping her with the bags. I’m the only man in the family, so I’m used to helping a lot with hard labor. Ah, I’m sorry… I keep talking about myself.” His face flushed even darker.
You rolled your eyes, “That is incredibly sweet of you, Deuce. Don’t be scared to talk to me about anything. We’re friends. You must care for your mother a lot with how you talk about her.”
Deuce stuttered, “No… That’s not true at all. I… Mother was…” Deuce flies back onto the ground after connecting with someone’s chest, “Ouch!”
All of the materials that Deuce was holding fell to the ground, but the biggest problem was that the eggs were now completely broken and leaking everywhere on the sidewalk.
Grim gasped and fell to his knees to try and save the groceries, “Ah, the eggs!!”
“Hey, you ok?” You reached out your hand to Deuce who grabbed it so that you could pull him up onto both of his feet.
Deuce locked eyes on the bag of now broken eggs and cursed, “Damn it!” He picked up the bag of eggs and began to check to see if any of the eggs were not broken and could be used, “All the eggs in the carton broke! The plastic bag’s now reeking with eggs…!” Deuce tossed them in the trash while Grim squirmed to grab the bag from him.
A white haired familiar looking male scoffed at the three of you, “That hurt! Where the hell’re ya lookin’ at,” His eyes darted to each member of your little group before continuing, “Wha? You’re the guys who ruined my carbonara’s soft-boiled egg during lunch today!”
Another familiar red haired student was right on his side, “Damn, it’s you guys again. Ya better give us a break.”
You grabbed as many bags as you could carry that Deuce had before, and you snorted, “And I thought I already crushed your egos, but I should have known you can't break a brick for a brain.”
The white haired boy snickered at the three of you, “Well it seems the little supervisor can’t even get us in trouble so no need for fear. You can’t harm us.”
Deuce had been standing in place for the last couple of seconds with his eyes on his feet, “…Aren’t you the ones at fault for bumping into me?” His sharp gaze met that of the duo of delinquents, “Even during lunch. The egg wasn’t really that badly harmed, but you made a huge scene out of it. Our carton of eggs is totally ruined, though.” Deuce rolled up the sleeves to his jacket.
Grim agreed standing as tall as he could across from the two upperclassmen, “He’s totally right!”
You walked over to where Deuce and Grim had made their little fighting stance, “Let’s just leave. They’re not gonna listen and we shouldn't get into a fight with idiots.” To further get Deuce’s attention, you pulled into the shoulder of his jacket to motion toward the bags, “We can always replace them. Let’s just get what we have back.”
The white haired boy swore, “The hell? You sayin’ it’s my fault, then? And idiots? I’m much smarter than any of you. Respect your elders!”
Deuce paid no mind to you or your constant poking on his shoulder, “Yes, please pay us back for the eggs. And also, please apologize to the chickens.”
“Hah?” The red haired boy quipped at Deuce, “Makin’ a ruckus over eggs, are we?”
Deuce grunts, “Hah?” before turning to you, “Remember the promise right?”
You nodded at him.
“Then, back up.” He lightly pushed you to make you back up, “And don’t get involved.” You locked eyes with the male only to see his eyebrows furrowed and a large scowl on your face. And as much as you wanted to help him and get him out of this situation, there’s nothing you can do against magic users. At least not yet.
The two other students did not realize how ready Deuce was to make this physical or how personal this was.
The whit haired boy groaned, “It didn’t hit the ground so you can still eat it. Stop makin’ a fuss over little things.” The boy slapped his friend before whispering something to him.
The other boy snickered before adding, “Ya better be thankful they broke inside the plastic bag!”
“Not only are they dumb, but blind too,” You mumbled to yourself which Grim could hear from his small chortle.
Deuce still had not lost his eye contact with the other two boys, seemingly eyeing them down to wait for the perfect moment.
Both of the boys let out the largest giggles possible that a teenage boy could without sounding like girls gossiping with their heads thrown back and their hands clutching their stomachs.
“Laughing at something that is surely your fault.” You rolled your eyes while trying to get the boy’s attention on Deuce who was in your eyes about to murder a bitch, “I think you should just pay us back for it. Maybe some extra too for having to deal with your terrible attitude to even it out.”
Neither student responded to you only grunting out stiffles of laughter for the next couple of seconds.
Deuce muttered to himself breaking eye contact with the two to gaze down at his hand which was clenched like in one of those TV shows when a character is going to do something he regrets, “... Mess with me, will you…”
White haired kid raises his eyebrows in confusion as Deuce looks to be slowly going insane, “Huh?”
Deuce exploded at the two, “I told you to stop laughing, damn it!!” His feet began to move closer and closer to the two who just stood in horror for the boy who was once silent, “You ain’t got no choice but to apologize for something that’s your fault! These eggs will be used to make a delicious tart in place of turning into chicks, bastard!! Do you understand me, huh!?”
“Wh-what’s with him all of a sudden…?!” The red haired boy was backing away from the approaching student and had a look of disbelief on his face.
Deuce grabbed his fist in one hand and cracked the knuckles of the other one, “If you’re not gonna pay me back for the 6 eggs, I got no choice but to beat the hell out of you six times.”
The white haired male faltered, “Huh!?” before seeing the blue haired male coming straight for him with his fists in a fighting position.
“Grit your teeth, you little bastards!!” And with that Deuce began his little fight by pulling at the kid’s clothes and punching them a little too hard.
“Where does that phrase even come from?” But what could you do besides stand there and wait even if you didn’t want the two to get hurt going into the fight now would be harmful.
You really need to stop getting involved in fights.

how sweet it is (to be loved by you)
summary: Although he would never admit it, Apollo really wants to impress Klavier by making dessert from scratch for their first date at his apartment, despite his complete lack of baking experience. With the help of his overenthusiastic sister (and no help from his mischievous cat), Apollo thinks he just might be able to pull it off.
word count: 4.8k | read on ao3
a/n: For @klapollo-week, day four of seven (prompt: "cooking"). All seven of my fics take place in the same continuity! However, each can be read as a stand-alone, with the exception of day seven being a sequel to day five.
This fic takes place at some distant point in time after Spirit of Justice where Apollo and Trucy have learned that they’re siblings, but doesn’t reference any specific plotlines otherwise. Fic title is from the song How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You) by Marvin Gaye.
“Don’t look at me like that, okay? I can feel you judging me, and I don’t appreciate it. I swear, I-I know what I’m doing! But it doesn’t help with you staring at me like you just know I’m gonna screw up!”
Mikeko blinked. “Mreow.”
“Polly, are you talking to your cat again?” Apollo turned to see Trucy walking towards him with huge bags of flour and sugar in her arms.
“Just a reminder - his name is Mikeko, and he’s an asshole,” Apollo grouched, hurrying over to help before she could drop everything on the floor. The last thing he needed was to get white powder stuck in his kitchen tile grout, again. There was a reason Ema wasn’t allowed to bring her forensics kit to his place anymore. “He peed on my rug the other day. I thought he was sick so I took him to the vet, and nothing. He’s an asshole.”
“You talk about your cat like you talk about your boyfriend, and I dunno which one’s worse,” Trucy mused, elbowing him playfully. “Though obviously, you love ‘em both, since that cat tree over there looks like it costs more than your TV. And, y’know, the fact that you asked me to help you bake for him! Er, your boyfriend, not your cat.”
“You don’t say,” Apollo said dryly, hoisting the bags onto the kitchen counter. “Klavier has an insatiable sweet tooth for a guy with a six-pack. I blame his parents and their baking habits.”
“C’mon, you love his parents,” Trucy giggled. She hopped onto the counter, nearly knocking the flour over in the process. Apollo shot her a dirty look that she blatantly ignored. “So, what’re we making? I’m surprised you asked me to help and then didn’t tell me what we were gonna do!”
“Sorry, sorry,” Apollo sighed, smoothing out the wrinkles in his apron. “We’re making, uh...bienenstich, or bee sting cake. It’s one of his childhood favorites, apparently; it’s got vanilla cream and…” He paused to glance down at the recipe on his phone. “...‘a crunchy caramelized almond topping’.”
“Sounds yummy!” Trucy replied, idly swinging her legs back and forth. Mikeko seemed very interested in chasing her untied shoelaces. “Seriously, though, why did you ask me? I mean, when I first started living with Daddy, I learned how to cook pretty fast, but I never really learned how to bake.”
Apollo softened. “I just wanted to hang out with you, Truce. That’s all.”
Trucy folded her hands over her heart. “Aww, Polly!” She then grinned devilishly. “Of course you did.”
“Now you’re an asshole, too,” Apollo informed her, kissing her cheek before turning back to the other side of the kitchen. He stopped dead in his tracks when he saw Mikeko, sitting in his sink, lounging lazily across every last mixing bowl he’d just washed. “Mik, what the hell - you were just on the floor a second ago, you - ”
“Meow,” Mikeko interrupted, his tail swishing nonchalantly through the air.
“...cool, cool.” Apollo wiped his hands, then proceeded to lift Mikeko right out of the sink and deposit him onto his cat tree. His paws were still damp; he mewled in protest. “Well, this is going about as well as I expected.”
“I’m excited,” Trucy offered, still beaming. “Let’s go!”
_____
Once Trucy found the appropriate playlist to blast on her phone (“Any performer worth their salt knows they need good background music, Polly!” “But...this isn’t a performance. Also, this is more Maroon 5 than I’m comfortable with.”), she got to work on re-washing the dishes Mikeko had ruined while Apollo shuffled around the kitchen, grabbing the rest of the ingredients. He’d bought quite a few items he didn’t usually have in stock, having next to no experience with baking. The recipe claimed bienenstich was easy to make, though he had his doubts when it came to his abilities - and his luck.
“So, how’ve you and Klavier been?” Trucy asked, drying the last of the spatulas. “Things must be pretty good if you’re baking for him.”
“Good, definitely good,” Apollo replied. “We’ve had a couple of hiccups, but nothing we’ve had to worry about, y’know?”
“Gee, how romantic,” Trucy drawled. “I was hoping for something juicier than that, Polly! Have you had any fun dates lately? Cute moments? Nice gifts? It sure was nice of his mom to send more apple strudels to the agency the other day!”
“Are you my sister, or a tabloid reporter?” Apollo flicked a spray of flour onto the front of her apron, ducking before she could retaliate. “Well, we had a good time at his parents’ house the other day. I made pretzels with his mom, and his dad had a ton of podcast recommendations for like, nerd stuff. We, uh...we even talked about Mom for a bit. They wanna meet her someday.”
Trucy’s eyes widened. “Really? When’s that gonna happen?”
“Not sure,” Apollo admitted. “But hey, do you wanna join us when it does? They’ve been dying to meet you, too.”
“Like you have to ask!” Trucy said brightly. She took a moment to methodically spread out all of their equipment across the kitchen counter, smiling in satisfaction when she was done. “There - we’re ready to go. What’s the actual first step?”
“The dough, it says,” Apollo said, turning back to the recipe. “We’re s’posed to mix the dry ingredients and wet ingredients separately. Although I guess the actual actual first step is measuring the ingredients.”
“I’ll do dry, you do wet,” Trucy replied, passing him one of the mixing bowls. “Y’know…‘cos you're such a wet blanket and all.”
Apollo blinked. “...okay, wow. We’re here to bake a cake, not roast me.” Trucy giggled mischievously, then got to work on measuring out the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Apollo, meanwhile, started with pouring the milk - easy enough - then stared at the egg carton and sticks of butter sitting in front of him. He’d never been intimidated by either before, but right now, he found them oddly daunting.
“Polly, are you trying to perceive the ingredients or somethin’?” Trucy asked, rapping her knuckles against the side of his head a little too sharply for his liking. “The cake isn’t a lie, you know.”
Once again, Apollo found himself looking at her incredulously. “Wha - th-that joke is older than you are!” Then, a brief swish of movement over Trucy’s shoulder caught his eye. “Wait…” Sitting on the opposite counter was Mikeko, who was innocently sniffing the bag of sliced almonds. “Mik - ”
“Mrrh,” Mikeko purred, his tail perking up at the sound of his name. He then flopped onto his side, rolling over to present his belly. “Mrrh?”
“Don’t ‘mrrh’ me, get away from there,” Apollo huffed, flapping his hands in Mikeko’s direction. He seemed unmoved. “Do you want me to lock you in my bedroom? Really? Is that what we have to do?” Sighing, Mikeko got up and hopped down from the counter, sauntering off to the living room with a sulky grimace. “Thank you.”
“You really do act like he’s human,” Trucy commented, watching Mikeko go. “Mr. Edgeworth’s like that with Pess, only he’s way nicer to her than you are to Mikeko.”
“Probably because Pess doesn’t sit on his chest in the middle of the night while he's sleeping and make him think he’s having a heart attack,” Apollo said wryly, reaching for the sticks of butter. If he let them sit out for too long, they were going to start melting. “How’s that whole...thing going, anyway? I feel like Mr. Edgeworth’s been visiting the agency a lot lately...only, nothing ever seems to happen.”
“Story of their lives, according to Ema and Aunt Maya,” Trucy said, rolling her eyes exasperatedly. “At this rate, I’m gonna get married before Daddy does!” She then smirked. “Or should I say, you’re gonna get - ”
“Hey, l-let’s not get ahead of ourselves,” Apollo protested, his cheeks reddening. “How’s it going with the dry ingredients?”
“All done!” Trucy chirped, tilting her bowl slightly so he could see. “Wait, you still haven’t done the butter or eggs yet? Apollo!”
“Yeah, yeah, I was kinda busy dealing with that jerk over there.” Trucy glanced across the way to the living room; she could’ve sworn Mikeko was sticking his tongue out at them. Apollo then pushed the butter towards her. “Here - you do the butter, I’ll take care of the eggs.” The two of them worked in silence for a minute or so, the only sounds in the apartment being the crinkle of the butter’s parchment paper and the tap-tap of the eggs against the mixing bowl. It didn’t take long before their silence was broken. “...shit.”
“Eggshell?” Trucy guessed without looking up. “Sheesh, you really did need help. Here, give it to me!”
Apollo nudged the bowl in her direction, defeated, then wiped the sweat off his brow. “Damn, I didn’t think I was gonna be this bad! I made bread and pretzels with Klavier’s mom, and that went pretty well.”
“I bet it’s ‘cos she did most of the work,” Trucy teased. “Wait - Apollo, there’s more eggshell in here than actual egg!”
“I…” Apollo paused. “...have no excuses.” He then groaned. “Ugh, we still have so much left to do! This cake better be worth it.”
“It’s more like if you think your boyfriend’s worth it, and he is, isn’t he?” Trucy finished fishing out the last of the eggshells, then poked Apollo’s side with her yolk-covered finger. “So c’mon, let’s keep going. We mix them together, right?”
Apollo smiled softly. “Yeah. And hey, I’m...I’m really glad you’re here, Trucy. Thanks for helping me out.”
“It’s just baking, Polly, you don’t hafta be so dramatic,” Trucy said, though she was beaming regardless. “Now move it, or this cake’s still gonna be in the oven when he gets here!”
_____
A little over two hours later, Apollo jumped up from his couch at the sound of his doorbell. His face brightened when he saw Klavier on the other side of the door, dressed casually in an oversized hoodie and joggers. Klavier had been so particular about how he’d dressed for their first few dates that Apollo was always happy to see him in more relaxed attire. “Aren’t you a sight for sore eyes?”
Klavier raised an eyebrow. “You always greet me in the strangest ways, schatz. Did something happen, are you okay?”
Apollo let out an internal sigh of relief; Klavier had yet to notice anything off-putting at all. “No, no, I-I’m fine, just - i-it’s been a long day, and it’s good to see you. I mean, it’s always good to see you - usually good to see you, depending on what’s going on, ‘cos not gonna lie, you still pull the most inane crap in the courtroom, but, uh. It’s good that you’re here. Hi.”
Klavier’s eyebrows remained raised. “...hi. Anyway, I brought dinner and dessert.” He lifted the two bags he was carrying so Apollo could see. “As it turns out, our favorite Taiwanese place was having a promotion. Spend thirty dollars or more, we get free tofu pudding. Achtung, I love a good deal!”
“That’s not what your bank account says,” Apollo teased. “And, er, that’s great, and we should definitely eat it while it’s fresh, but I actually made dessert for us, too.”
“Really?” Apollo was starting to think Klavier’s eyebrows were never going to come back down. “What did you make?”
“No spoilers,” Apollo said, tugging on Klavier’s sleeve. “C’mon, get in here before my neighbors spot you. I swear, I heard one of them blasting Love With No Chance Of Parole the other night. If they find out you’re my boyfriend, I’m never gonna hear the end of it.”
“Finally starting to recognize my songs, are you?” Klavier chuckled, stepping into Apollo’s apartment. “I’ll make a Gavinners fan out of you yet, baby.” He then looked around, curious, as he took off his shoes. “Your place doesn’t look nearly as bad as you made it sound. It’s...charming.”
“Real diplomatic way of saying it looks like crap,” Apollo said wryly, closing the door behind him. He was well aware of his peeling wallpaper and cat-scratched furniture, his dusty windows and his water-damaged ceiling. “Wait until you have to use my bathroom. I swear the sink is haunted.”
“How comforting.” Klavier’s eyes lit up at the sound of tiny little feet padding over in his direction; he crouched down so he could be at eye level, one hand outstretched to beckon him closer. “Why, guten tag, kätzchen! I’m so glad I finally get to meet you.” Mikeko stopped dead in his tracks, eyeing Klavier up and down warily. Then, without another sound, he turned and walked away, tail swishing pointedly in the air. Klavier looked up at Apollo dejectedly. “Ach, what did I do?”
“Mikeko only likes me and tolerates Trucy,” Apollo shrugged, trying not to laugh at Klavier’s miserable expression. “I wouldn’t take it personally. C’mon, let’s eat!”
“I’m going to take it a little personally,” Klavier muttered under his breath, following Apollo across the open living space. It wasn’t long before they were set up at the dining table, working their way through their Taiwanese beef noodles, fried chicken, and scallion pancakes. Apollo hummed happily as he ate; he hadn’t realized how hungry he was or how difficult baking could be until now. “So, how was your day?”
“Didn’t do much,” Apollo said, shrugging. “Since it’s my day off, I just kinda - y’know, played video games, watched some TV. Re-organized my bookshelf for the millionth time. I still haven’t decided if my brain likes it organized by author, title, genre, or color.”
“You also made dessert, apparently,” Klavier replied. “Are you really not going to tell me what it is?”
“Curiosity killed the cat, and even though my cat’s an asshole, I prefer him alive,” Apollo said, playfully nudging Klavier’s leg with his foot. “You can wait thirty minutes, can’t you?”
“Ach, the suspense,” Klavier laughed. “Fine, fine. Can I at least ask why you decided to bake for us?”
“It’s the first time you’ve been to my place, so I figured I’d do something nice,” Apollo said, sniffing very slightly. The smell of burnt sugar was starting to waft into his nose; he crossed his fingers underneath the table in the hopes that Klavier couldn’t smell it, too.
“Er - are you okay, Apollo?” Klavier asked, lowering his chopsticks. “You’re...sniffling. I didn’t accidentally bring some pollen in here, did I?”
“Sniffing, not sniffling,” Apollo corrected. “There’s a difference. And nah, it’s nothing. Just wasn’t sure if Mik might’ve peed somewhere...as he does.”
“Ah, cats,” Klavier said, nodding sagely. “Don’t tell your kätzchen I’m more of a dog person, bitte. We’re already off to a bad start as it is.”
“Brave of you, saying that out loud,” Apollo remarked. “If Mik comes after you in your sleep tonight, don’t say I didn’t warn you.” Klavier turned to look at Mikeko, who was currently on the kitchen counter, scarfing down his dinner. He lifted his head to make direct eye contact, chewing menacingly all the while. Klavier shuddered. “How about you, what were you up to today?”
“The most boring prosecutor’s office meeting ever, not that that’s anything new,” Klavier sighed, turning back to face Apollo. “And I had no cases to prosecute, so I spent my day wishing I was here instead. Even if you and Mikeko weren’t around, I’d rather watch your wallpaper die a slow death than listen to Herr Payne whine about his life while we’re all waiting for the coffee maker. I don’t see how it’s my or Herr Blackquill’s fault that he hasn’t had a raise in over ten years. If all he can brag about is making new defense attorneys cry instead of actually doing his job, then he should be grateful he still has a career to begin with, ach.”
Apollo blinked. “...huh. I guess I never really thought about the kind of office politics you have to deal with. Meanwhile, the only thing I’ve had to deal with lately is Athena nearly breaking Trucy’s finger during an arm-wrestling match.”
Klavier winced, popping a piece of chicken in his mouth. “Is that something that happens often?”
“More often than it should,” Apollo replied sagely. Klavier wasn’t sure whether to be impressed or slightly terrified.
After they finished dinner, Klavier insisted on helping Apollo with the dishes, seeing as how there was a huge pile of them in the sink, almost none of them from their dinner. Some were splattered with cake batter, others with vanilla cream. Thankfully, Apollo had already rinsed all the pans and utensils he’d used to make the topping, or else the sliced almonds would’ve given him away entirely.
“No peeking in the fridge or you’re not getting any,” Apollo warned, waving a spatula in his face.
“Are we talking about dessert, or...something else?” Klavier blinked innocently when Apollo continued to glare. “Ja, ja, I hear you.” He then paused. “Can I at least speculate? I have an educated guess.”
“You have zero patience sometimes,” Apollo complained, knocking his hip against Klavier’s, though with their height difference, it was more like his hip against Klavier’s thigh. “Let’s finish up here so you have nothing to complain about, alright?”
As they puttered around the kitchen together, Apollo had to subtly, but constantly direct Klavier away from the oven before he could see the remnants of a burnt pan still left on one of the stovetop elements; he hadn’t had enough time to completely scrub them away, though he had gotten rid of the worst of it. For once, he was grateful Klavier favored heavy scents, which seemed to be masking the smell for him.
“Mrrp.” Just as Klavier was drying the last of the plates, he felt something weaving between his ankles. “Mreow?”
“Have you changed your mind about me, kätzchen?” he asked, delighted. Mikeko aggressively smushed his face against Klavier’s calf in response. Apollo watched them both in amazement. “Is that a ja or a nein?”
“Mrrh,” Mikeko rumbled.
“Oh, this is definitely a trap,” Apollo warned. “He probably wants something from you, so don’t fall for it, Klav.”
“You talk about him like he’s an unruly witness on the witness stand,” Klavier said, amused. “He’s just a sweet little kätzchen, what could he possibly - ” Mikeko sneezed, violently.
“There it is,” Apollo sighed.
Klavier winced at the wet spot Mikeko had left behind on his sweatpants. “Achtung, gesundheit!” He then chuckled, shaking his head as Mikeko wandered off, clearly pretending nothing had happened. Either that, or he was embarrassed, though Apollo suspected it was more the former than the latter. “Like human, like cat, I see; it’s allergy season all around. Is it my cologne, do you think?”
“Might be,” Apollo shrugged, wiping his hands. “Okay, you big baby, are you ready for dessert now?”
“You’re acting like I’ve talked about nothing else,” Klavier protested, wrapping his arms around Apollo from behind and burying his face against Apollo’s neck. He then began pressing slow, deliberate kisses along the length of Apollo’s throat. His nose was momentarily filled with the scent of Klavier’s aforementioned cologne, the scent of sandalwood instead of burnt sugar. “I would love to have dessert, baby.” His voice dropped to a whisper. “Then we can eat what you made after.”
“Why am I dating you,” Apollo groaned, lightly shoving him away. Klavier snickered, hopping up onto the kitchen counter. “Sheesh, you’re like a cheap Hallmark card and a bad pick-up artist at the same time.”
“Is there such a thing as a good pick-up artist?” Klavier mused, still grinning. “Anyway, I’m serious. Let’s see what you made for us, liebe.” Apollo felt oddly nervous as he opened his refrigerator and carefully pulled out the covered tray from the top shelf. He set it down on the counter, right beside Klavier, then went to grab plates, forks, and a decent-sized knife. “Ah, a knife! Was my prediction correct?”
“Can you let me live for two seconds, please?” Apollo grumbled, softening when Klavier leaned down to kiss him on the cheek. “Okay, okay, careful around the guy with the knife in his hand. I-I’m gonna take off the cover now.”
They both held their breaths just as Apollo lifted the tray cover, as overly dramatic as it sounded. The sensation was stupidly similar to how they felt during a particularly stressful trial. Klavier’s eyes widened at the sight before him. “...bienenstich?”
“Wait…” Apollo leaned closer. “...what happened?!”
The state of his bienenstich was...questionable, to say the least. To start, the caramelized almond topping, which had hardened nicely in the refrigerator earlier, now looked like it had been through an earthquake, full of little holes and fissures. The thick layer of vanilla cream between the two layers of cake was oozing out the sides, having somehow melted since Apollo put it in the fridge over an hour ago. Finally, most of the bottom layer of cake was soggy and crumbling apart, clearly thanks to the melting cream.
“You gotta be kidding me!” Apollo exclaimed, setting the knife aside and hurriedly digging his phone out of his pocket. “Here, I took a picture earlier, i-it - it looked perfect, I-I made sure of it - ”
“I’m sure it did, Apollo,” Klavier said gently, rubbing his shoulders in sympathy. “Let’s see your picture, then.”
Groaning, Apollo held his phone up to Klavier’s face. “Seriously, look. I took so many photos, I was gonna send ‘em to your parents and thank them for teaching me the basics...I even made the topping three times ‘cos I burnt the first two attempts!”
“Is that what that smell was?” Klavier shrunk at Apollo’s venomous expression. “Sorry, baby, I just - I didn’t want to say anything in case it was, you know, a weird apartment smell.” He then perked up. “But if you ask me...looks have nothing to do with taste. That goes for both food and people, apropos, though I consider myself blessed that you’re the very best of both.”
“Har, har...also, ew,” Apollo added, wrinkling his nose. “Well, let’s hope you’re right.” With renewed vigor, he picked up the knife once more and carefully cut two modest-sized pieces, transferring them to their respective plates. He passed one plate to Klavier, then, after they exchanged nervous looks, they both took their first tentative bites. “...oh.”
“See? It’s just as I said!” Klavier declared, grinning victoriously. “I’m not going to pretend it’s the most perfect bienenstich I’ve ever had, but - it’s good, Apollo. It’s really, really good. I wouldn’t have known it was your first attempt if I hadn’t seen it. Even then, it’s hardly a disaster. Just a bit, ah, lopsided.”
Apollo was quiet for another moment or so, letting the taste linger on his tongue. The texture was a bit odd, thanks to the half-melted cream and the soggy cake, but it was just as sweet and satisfying as he’d been hoping it would be. “...huh. So I guess we didn’t accidentally swap the salt and sugar like I thought we might’ve done.”
“We?” Klavier echoed as he took another bite, more generous in size this time.
“Yeah, Trucy came over to help me. Guess I forgot to mention that,” Apollo added. “We haven’t had much time to hang out outside of work stuff lately, so...I thought it’d be a fun afternoon thing. Kinda turned into a nightmare instead? Like, the smell of burnt sugar is everywhere for a reason. Don’t look inside my oven, please.”
“Don’t worry, I won’t,” Klavier laughed, delighted. “I can only imagine what went on before I got here, achtung.” It wasn’t long before he was scraping his plate clean; he was still eyeing the rest of the cake hungrily. He turned when Apollo made a mild noise of disgust. “Ah - what happened?”
“What always happens around here.” Apollo plucked a tiny, but obvious cat hair from the end of his fork. “At least I didn’t eat this one. I think I’ve consumed more cat hairs than I’ve had paying clients.” He then looked at Klavier with raised eyebrows. “You’re not expecting another piece right now, are you?”
“I like bienenstich, okay?” Klavier said defensively, though he finally got down from the kitchen counter so he could put his fork and plate in the sink, dropping a sticky-sweet kiss on Apollo’s cheek on his way over. “Danke, baby, that was really good. Can I take some back with me, bitte?”
“Of course, babe. I’m certainly not eating the rest of it by myself,” Apollo snorted, finishing off his own piece. He put his dishes in the sink, taking a moment to rinse off his and Klavier’s plates, then let out a relieved sigh. “Well, at least it tasted good, even if it looked like crap.”
“I know it’s pointless, saying this to you, but - don’t worry so much, hm?” Klavier wrapped his arms around Apollo’s midsection; before Apollo knew it, he was being lifted and set down onto the counter, right where Klavier had been. He rolled his eyes good-naturedly, bringing his hands to rest on Klavier’s shoulders, his legs wrapped loosely around Klavier’s waist. “I’m impressed, liebling, I mean it. I know Mama’s been teaching you how to bake, but for you to do it on your own time for us to enjoy...I should really step up my game here, don’t you think?”
“Hardly,” Apollo said, dropping his head to Klavier’s shoulder, pressing a kiss to Klavier’s neck. “Thanks, Klav. Glad you liked it.”
“Bitte schön,” Klavier replied, gently lifting Apollo’s chin so he could kiss him properly. They both tasted like vanilla and honey; Apollo pushed Klavier’s hair out of his face so it wouldn't run the risk of getting sticky. Mere seconds later, they were interrupted by a tiny, impudent meow. Sighing, Klavier reluctantly broke away so he could stare down at the culprit by his feet. “Can I help you, kätzchen? I thought we were cool...until you used my sweatpants as a tissue, that is. These are Moncler, I’ll have you know.”
“Mreow,” Mikeko trilled, tail thrashing violently against Klavier’s leg. Shaking his head in amusement, Apollo got down from the counter so he could pick him up and cradle him, rocking him back and forth like a baby. “Mrrp.”
“I’m kinda curious to see if he’ll let you pet him,” Apollo said. “You wanna try?” Klavier lifted a cautious hand, then slowly began petting Mikeko, taking care not to disturb the sleekness of his long, thick fur. Klavier let out a soft laugh when Mikeko began to purr, his eyes closing contentedly as he smushed his face against Klavier’s hand, just like he’d done to his leg earlier. “Hey, would you look at that - it’s a not-Christmas miracle!”
“I feel as if I’ve been blessed,” Klavier chuckled, rubbing Mikeko’s ears for good measure. “Have I passed your secret test somehow, kätzchen? Am I a good partner for your papa?” Mikeko mewled happily.
“I can’t believe you didn’t even do anything and he already likes you,” Apollo sighed. “Mik, I thought you were smarter than this.”
“I can’t tell if you want him to like me or not,” Klavier said dryly, dropping a kiss to the top of Mikeko’s forehead. Mikeko’s purr only seemed to intensify. Apollo rolled his eyes; now Klavier was just showing off. “So now that all of our bienenstich excitement is over, should we put a movie on, maybe try a small bite of that tofu pudding? I have a desperate need to cuddle after the day I’ve had.”
“Day you had?” Apollo echoed, neatly depositing Mikeko back onto his cat tree. “You said you had a boring meeting and no trials. How bad could it have been?”
“I had to listen to Herr Payne gush about his wife that definitely exists,” Klavier bemoaned, lifting the back of his hand to his forehead as if he were about to faint. Apollo was sure if he rolled his eyes any harder, he would sprain something. “Herr Debeste kept asking to borrow a pencil for some reason. I’m serious, baby, don’t laugh at me, he kept knocking on my door every thirty minutes - ”
“The only baby I see around here is you, baby,” Apollo teased, prodding Klavier in the chest. “But fine, fine, I hear you. You go sulk on the couch and pick out a movie while you wait. I'm gonna put the bienenstich back in the fridge and send your mom my pre-disaster pictures. Maybe she’ll have some advice for my next attempt.”
Klavier perked up. “Next attempt? You mean you’re going to make it again? Ah, ich liebe dich, mein schatz, mein süßer, mein - ”
“Oh my god,” Apollo groaned, sighing. “Maybe, okay? Maybe. I’m not making any promises, I don’t want my apartment to permanently smell like burnt sugar hell.” Still, Apollo found himself biting back a smile, kissing Klavier briefly before lightly nudging him in the direction of his living room. “...and I love you, too. Dork.”

a/n: Welcome to my fourth entry for Klapollo Week 2021! Continuity-wise, this is the sixth of seven fics, but again, there is no need to read the others to follow each fic on its own. Mikeko being a jerk who only likes maybe three people at a time is one of my favorite random headcanons! I know I set a lot of my fics in Apollo's apartment (or Klavier's), but one of the main reasons that I do is for Mikeko and Mikeko alone. If you're looking for a Mikeko-centric fic (kind of), if you could read my mind is one of my favorite short-ish fics that I've ever written.
Thank you so much for reading and I hope you enjoyed! Likes and reblogs would be much appreciated. Hoping you’re all safe and healthy and doing well ❤️
#KlapolloWeek2021#klapollo#kyodoroki#klapollo fic#ace attorney#ace attorney fic#myfic#long post#almost forgot to post this oops lmao#also my day two fic hasn't been archived! guess i'll send y'all a quick ask later#i think i'd tagged something incorrectly so that's my bad

Marcuck and his lady
kitchen!send me a ship? marcuck n jules
who washes the dishes by hand and who uses the dishwasher? i could be wrong but i feel like marcuck washes the dishes by hand and jules using the dishwasher. but i’m assuming they have a dishwasher and if that’s the case, he’ll just use the dishwasher ??
who cuts vegetables, fruit, etc by hand and who uses the easy to use chopper? i don’t think either are the type to be pulled in by the adverts for the easy to use choppers and would prefer to just ?? cut stuff by hand
who pours the cereal into the bowl first and who pours milk before the cereal? honestly ?? i wouldn’t put it past marcuck pouring the milk in first and this is why i don’t claim him. jules does it the normal way
who buys/drinks bottle water and who uses/drinks from the tap? they definitely filter their water, so tap water would be fine and i don’t think either would have a problem with using it
who hoards disposable containers and who throws them away? marcuck would find them much more useful, i feel ?? i also just think he’s a hoarder
who buys milk in a paper carton and who buys it in a plastic jug? a plastic jug is more practical bc u can fit more milk in, surely ?? but if they’re travelling, they’ll buy the small milk cartons
who picks paper bags and who picks plastic bags after grocery shopping? if they’re shopping together, marcuck will favour the paper bags because at least if he carries them, jules can open the car door; but if she’s not with him, he struggles to open the car door and will opt for plastic bags for ease ??
who hoards the plastic bags and who recycles them? marcuck Tries to be good and hoard the plastic bags to reuse for another grocery shop but :/ does he remember them :/ ?? ofc not. jules probably can’t stand the sight of them laying around
who hoards salt/pepper packs, togo silverware and other togo condiments? i don’t think either of them really have a Need to hoard them, so none ?
who lets the garbage can overflow before throwing it out? marcuck is pretty hot on throwing out the garbage and i can’t really see jules being lax on it either bc of the potential smell
who gets annoyed when someone doesn’t use the clips for the potato chips? jules bc marcuck is the culprit
who uses paper plates? i don’t think either of them would ever
who uses coasters? neither of them are animals so both
who licks the spoon/butter knife after they use it? if they know they’re not going to use the utensil again, i don’t think either would see the harm in doing so ?
who loses the bread ties? regardless of who, if either of them lose the bread tie, they’ll blame the other SO
who kicks the ice under the fridge when it falls on the ground? marcuck :/
who constantly cuts/burns themselves when they cook? marcuck bc skills don’t make up for him being lazy and trying hacks that go wrong
who organizes the spice rack? if jules has the time, organising the spice rack could be something she’d do ?? i think marcuck uses them too much to worry about the order
who uses the microwave more? marcuck tries to become elitist about not using the microwave after he gets more proficient at cooking but he was always the worst for using the microwave more often prior
who stops the microwave one second before time’s up? if jules is being impatient ?? and in a rush ??

Definition of Soulmates
Summary; after having the worst day of Ambrose’ life a surprise twist walks in and catches her heart in ways she’s never expected, for Dimitri, finding the right girl has always been a challenge because he knows he’s heard her before in the back of his mind,
Author’s Note; I’ve based the character Dimitri off of Tom Holland, so I guess this is a bit of a fanfic in that sense. I love the name Ambrose but you can slip your own name and description in if you want!
Part One
The Market I work in has to be 1500 feet at most, its small but packs a punch given we have two coolers’ for supplies a back area for prep and a small office space taking up a third of the store. The last two thirds are where customers roam amongst the veggies and a small grocery aisle that I know like the back of my hand. Daily I look over it, making sure the shelves are as full as possible since we only order when we fully run out of something.
“What do you think Ambross?” My manager asks he surveys the cereals. “Think we should go for five and take the deal they’re offering?” He constantly gets my name wrong despite me making him sound it out. I also go by Brosie to most.
“I think we could. Tomorrow the rest will come off since it’s the beginning of the week.” I say and kick a milk carton as a make shift step stool in front of some of the honeys. I pull down a box from the top of the shelf to fill up some wildflower honey.
“Good point, which flavours go fastest?” he asks. Lee has noticed that I observe everything and in my two years here figured out the patterns of sales.
“I would say that Chocolate rice stuff, the peanut butter balls and….” My head snaps around as my ears pick up a crash at the end of the aisle. A wail is then coming out a small child, Mum is picking them up and looking at Lee and I with apologetic eyes. Then I see and smell it. The little one dropped a jar of pickled beets. Leaving my honey on the step stool I go and grab a bag from the front cash to get the debris into. Lee without a word has gone to the back to get the mop.
“I’m so sorry.” Mom says as I get on my knees to get up the beats and glass.
“It’s alright.” I say with a smile. “Little ones are usually way too curious with what’s on the bottom shelves, I keep telling my boss we should have unbreakable things there.” I stand with most of the glass in the bag, Lee appears with the mop to get up the juice, making it easier for me to see the last of the broken glass. I step to the side where the Mom is. The little boy now at eye level with me. “You wanted to know what those were huh?” I ask with a lighter tone to him. He nods and curls into her. I’m guessing he’s not even three.
“Brosie there’s some glass there.” Lee says and I bend to snatch it up. “Oh shoot….”
“Ah!” I gasp and yank my hand back as a piece of glass that Lee nor I didn’t see jabs into my hand. It’s dug in deep enough a steady flow of blood to come out.
“Back now.” Lee orders and I pass him the bag to go into the back to get a wad of paper towel to get the bleeding to stop. There my co worker and friend Ana comes in for the start of her shift. She takes in the sight of me and yanks out on of her head phones.
“You okay?” She asks.
“Cut my hand.” I say. “Broken jar. Was cleaning it but…” She cuts me off by coming and taking my hand to look over it. She grabs another wad of paper towel to wet and dab at my hand. She then grabs the first aid kit from the end of the big back shelf.
“It’s not too deep, lets just clean it….”
“Holy shit.” I breathe and nearly yank back my hand as she presses an antiseptic cloth to it.
“Wuss.” She hisses.
“How about I pour alcohol on your paper cuts? Or lemon juice?” I bite back. That makes her laugh. She’s also one of my few friends that I am constantly bantering with. She’s an artist like me and insists on having handmade sketchbooks where the pages aren’t even and cuts her fingers on them constantly. Right now I spy band aids on two of her fingers.
“This needs more than a band aid.” She states and grabs some butterfly strips to pull my skin together with. I wince as Lee comes back.
“Are you okay?” He asks and put the mop to the side to come and see. “Oh shoot, does it hurt?” He sees Ana’s work before she wraps gauze around my hand as an extra precaution.
“A little.” I admit. “I have some Tylenol in my bag if it does start to hurt.”
“Alright. Um maybe take a breather, then finish what you had started in the aisle, you pulled down something I think.”
“Honey.” I say. “We’re almost out of it so I brought it down to top up the shelf.” That prompts Ana to go and drop her bag in the small back aisle next to the bathroom that also leads to the back door. Ana appears again with my water bottle to throw at me. Fumbling I manage to catch it, banging it on my cut a little I try to not flinch but I glug back about half of it to get some fluids in me after losing some blood. I take a few deep breaths as Lee gets the mop back away in the bathroom.
I drink more water. Feeling back to normal I go back to the aisle and finish up the honey I pulled out. I then see that another brand needs to be stocked up, I go out to find the back stock under the table with apples and come back. As I slide it on I get my skinny arms back there to even everything out and pull some forward.
Crabcakes! I pull my hand out as a sharp sting shoots up my arm and tears well in my eyes. I see it shaking at a large lumps forms where a wasp has stung me. I look at the back of the shelf and see a small nest formed by some honeycomb at the back. The little turkeys seem to have taken it hostage because of a poor packaging design. I shake out my hand but the pain is not going away. I beeline to the back to some Tylenol. Lee sees the few tears that escape.
“Is your hand hurting?” He asks. I show off the impressive lump that is swelling fast. His eyes grow huge. “What happened?!” he jumps up and off the stool to inspect it.
“Freaking wasp.” I gasp trying to not sob. “There’s a new nest by the honeycombs.”
“Great.” Lee huffs and has me sit. “I’ll see if Ana has any antihistamines, if not I’ll go get you some.” Lee disappears around the corner to find her. Only a minute later I see her dash into the cooler them comes back out holding a bag of ice she must have taken off of some of the veggies.
“You can’t seem to win today.” She says and passes me the make shift ice pack to press onto my hand.
“Yeah not really.” I breathe and try to take a deep breath to stay calm.
“How long have you been working now” She asks.
“About two hours and a bit.” I say. Lee shows back up holding the antihistamines for me. I take one, Ana grabs my water bottle so I can get it down.
“Maybe she could have a break just to recover Lee?” Ana suggests and looks at him.
“Good idea.” He says. With that I grab my lunch bag and step out into the back porch to sit and watch the woods. I eat some yogurt and my sandwich, I sip at water and decide that it’s too chilly for it. A hot chocolate from the coffee shop would be nice. I have a half hour break so I get up retrieve my wallet then walk along the back gravel to come out at the end of this bit of the mini mall. Out on the side walk I avoid other people’s eyes so no one can tell I’ve been crying. Past the main grocery store that is our rival I continue on to the third strip of building where a coffee shop is on the end. Inside I order my hot chocolate, pay and wait over at the side.
“Ambrose?” I hear and glance around for who said it. Being at the market means a lot of people recognize me and a lot of my family is in the area too. But this voice is one I recognize but can’t place. My heart freezes when I see its source.
Ben.
A young man with enough muscle to make any girl swoon and parted brown hair. My stomach clenches as his greenish eyes meet mine.
“Medium hot chocolate to go.” The barista calls out and I grab it and move to get out.
“Brosie.” I hear Ben call as he comes after me. “Brosie come on, don’t act like this.” He grabs my wounded hand as he catches up to me and I nearly screech. I yank back and cradle it against myself and fight some tears. “If anyone really should be like this it should be me.” Ben huffs. “You are the one who broke off the friendship.” I grind my teeth and look down at my hand. Crap, he’s torn the cut open enough to bleed. He then sees the crimson on the white gauze. “Oh shit.” He breathes and tries to take it to see.
“Leave me alone Ben.” I say loud enough for heads to turn.
“You’re bleeding let me help, you know I’m training to be….”
“A paramedic, yes I know. I knew everything about you while you barely knew me Ben. Plus why do you care now? You treated me like crap the last few months of our friendship.” I bite and turn to stalk away. Within a second I’m suddenly staring at Ben’s tiny but round ass. He’s grabbed me in fireman’s hold, something he’s done before. “Let me go!” I shout and try to struggle but his arms squeeze my middle tightly to keep me in control. With the shock of him picking me up I’ve dropped my hot chocolate. “Ben come on! Let me go!”
He sets me down in the back of his truck and grabs a medical kit he always keeps on hand. I however dive to the side as he tries to grab at my hand again.
“Cut it out!” I bark and dodge to the back of the wagon.
“Ambrose I’m trying to help you.” He argues. “Something you say I never did.”
“Ben if you want to help me let me go and leave me alone.” I bite back and meet his eye for him to read words I uttered to him over six months ago, I fucking hate you, you treat me like shit. I then utter; “You’re only making a scene with me now because you want attention, you want to be the hero for my hand, you want me to dote on you for it. Guess what, that’s never going to happen again.” That makes him launch at me. My psychology evaluation of him has always been something I’ve kept to myself. Now it’s just pissed him off.
“Hey!” Someone shouts and he’s being pulled off of me. “What the hell?!” Ben is being thrown out of the back and I see two fit looking guys. One with blonde hair and blue eyes is helping me up, the other has a hood up covering his face. “You alright sweetie?” The blonde asks with an accent that is music to my ears.
“Get her out Henry.” Someone is saying as Ben stands to see two other people there, a larger young man and a beautiful girl. However I have my theories about beauty, that if you say beauty as a blanket term you get self-conscious, if you identify what kind of beauty it is, you can feel a little better. For her, with dark frizzy hair and sharp dark eyes that seem to stare into souls far too easily, it’s an exotic kind of beauty. Something you don’t see very often. The one in the hoodie is then helping me down to the blonde who’s jumped out. As his hands guide me down I feel something seize in my chest. Something that I can only call parapsychological, the sense of something only I can feel through my soul.
“Are you alright?’ The blonde is asking. “Did he touch you…?” I take off, the question prompting too many wrong things that happened during Ben and I’s friendship. I get back to work with tears burning in my eyes. I just go to the back porch to bury my face in my hands. Ana appears at my side.
“I heard someone saying they saw you and Ben arguing…” She says and wraps her arms around me tightly. The only good thing about the end of that friendship is that I found out who my real friends are. Including Ana. She gets me to sit down on the top step then holds out something that comforts us both, the salted milk chocolate bar that we sell.
“Thanks.” I whisper hoarsely and break off a chunk. I look at my fit watch to see that my break is almost up. I let the chocolate melt on my tongue and have the flavours swirl around my mouth to savour it. Being mindful of how I’ve covered more receptors there to send the happy message of dopamine to be released in my brain. Chocolate is an easily addictive crack. She still holds it out me. I break off another piece.
“Do you want to go home?” She asks. I feel calm again, I shake my head. If I keep my water bottle close or make a cup of tea I should be okay. “Okay, let’s get you patched up again, what happened now?” She takes my hand to see how bloody the gauze is.
“Ben being a dramatic ass.” I say. That gets her up to get the first aid kit and yes, more antiseptic to clean it up. I’d take Ana helping me out over Ben any day medical wise.
“What an ass.” She mutters redoing the gauze wrap. “Can’t even get out of his own head to notice you’re hurt.”
“Thanks Ana.” I murmur and begin plotting on making her a batch of cookies for helping. If I get a mix after work I can do it up tonight, I’d have to get some extra chocolate chips since I put the last of some in brownies the other week.
“Let’s get you back inside or Lee will have my head.” She says. I dawn my apron and carefully tie it around my waist. I take deep breaths and remind myself that if I remain calm, everything else will. What you put out has a way of coming back at you. The incident with Ben now is only a reflection of how I had to be when I told him we were no longer friends. Mean and ruthless. Unlike my normal self that usually understands everything and is kind. You had to be kind for yourself too I remind myself. Lee takes one look at me and gives me a few things to stock. I’m done in a few minutes.
“Err, do you want to do some chips?” He asks, however I see what he’s really asking if I feel okay enough to be climbing up and onto the edge of the veggie rack to get the boxes stored up there. I nod, feeling right down into my core, something that I know is strong and what I’ll use to get up there. Lee leaves it at that. First I check out what we need, we’re scarce with a bunch. I get a milk crate as my middle ground and wait patiently for people to be out of the way before climbing up.
“Careful monkey.” My co-worker World says deeply as he watches me. He’s East Indian and after a few sassy remarks from me when I finally warmed up to him, claimed I must have been a sister from another life.
“I always am.” I say and swing down gracefully with a box. World’s eyes watch my movements as I go back up for another then check out what else I need, a few more flavours then one of the another brand. I go up as world goes to refill his cart with more apples to stock, making that short aisle now clear. I glance around, no one is here, I could make a stack to make it easier. I get a box and sink down in a squat still balanced on the edge to only stretch back up and check around again. I’m startled with the appearance with the sight of the beautiful girl from the parking lot staring at me. I try to think nothing of it and turn back to get a box and find it stuck behind a bar in the top of the rack. I know not to do this but I try it anyway, I just yank.
I yank too hard. The sudden force sends my balance off and I scramble to grab hold of the top of the rack but I don’t act fast enough and start falling back.
“Arms!” I hear someone shout and feel my fall cut off shorter than I expected it. I’ve been caught by someone. Letting out a shaky breath I look up into auburn eyes that are wide as they stare back at me. I then recognize the hoodie he’s wearing. My arms tingle as he so easily holds me.
“Ambrose!” Ana calls as she comes over, World in tow. He takes that as a sign to get me down on my feet. He doesn’t seem to mind as I lean on his shoulder to steady myself. Ana is then grabbing me, looking over my shaken state. “Are you okay?” As she asks it the shock hits and I find that I can’t speak.
“Let’s get you in the back.” Ana says and leads me away from him. I can’t help but glance at him, see his handsome face, sharp square jawline and those eyes that are not coming off me. Lee is all over me, trying to get me out of the haze, snapping, waving at me, and trying to get me to speak. World breaks it, get grabs his warm coffee mug and sets it in my hand. Temperature difference. An ice bucket would have worked too.
“Bross you okay?” Lee asks.
“She doesn’t need to answer.” Ana declares. “She’s had a shit day and is going home.” She grabs her car keys. She then passes me my backpack. I rub at my face, the day has been insane, and I’ve been pushing too much to get through it. For some reason the universe wants me to be down, or not here.
“I’ll go home but I can walk Ana.” I squeak. She raises an eyebrow at me.
“Not with the state you’re in, plus if Ben happens to cross your path again I don’t want him to get the better of you.” She’s being protective and kind, something Ben never was.
“Go, it shouldn’t take Ana too long right?” Lee asks.
“Ten minutes at most.” I say. With that Ana gets me up to guide me out. We pass by the group that got Ben away from me, the guy in the hoodie doesn’t take his eyes off me, the girl gives me a curious look, the other boys start nudging the hoodie. That’s when he looks away and down. Ana pulls me away and out of sight me to form one thought, somehow, magically, my soul knows his.

Alex roughly eating louis that I'm all I'm sayin . Just a thought . I dunno . I haven't seen Dunkirk yet I'm gonna of spoilers
@celebratinglouis u send me the nastiest shit but also thank u.
this is just…it’s porn. it’s angst and porn and feminization kink and poor coping mechanisms. also it’s written in like three different tenses. listen, I’m sorry. I hope you like it anyways, bc this is a concept I could write…more of. Also a few Dunkirk spoilers!
————-
The train spewed steam, hot and compressed, behind him, and Alex still found the ability to push forward.
He hurt, and he couldn’t even identify where. His ears were ringing, and he’s only now noticing it. He thought his neck and his head might hurt, but then again, his wrist and his ankle might, too. It’s just everywhere. His eyes stung even though he was just asleep, his mouth tasted like warm beer and warmer water.
He blinked, and brought his hand up to his eyes, his other hand tightening on the strap of his pack. There’s no sunlight in the station, but he still feels like he should lift his hand, get a better view.
He’s standing there on the platform, three dimensions, full color. He’s wearing nearly the exact same thing he wore to the station the first time, the grey trousers and the brown braces and the big, open pale blue jumper that’s gotten paler, bordering on grey.
He’s the most beautiful thing Alex has ever seen. He’s the only beautiful thing he’s seen in a while.
Alex forced himself to take a few more steps, until he’s right there in front of him and he has to tilt his head down a bit to get a good look at him.
“Hi,” Louis said, and his voice was the same, raspy and Northern and soft, and Alex wanted to wrap him up in his arms and kiss him, dip him, spin him around like some of the other boys and their birds get to do.
But instead he just swallowed back the stiffness in his throat as Louis looked back at him carefully.
“Come on,” he said, “I’ll get you home,”
***
The flat was the same, which is to say small and dirty, partly because both of them hate cleaning but mostly because it’s a place that was built dirty and will be destroyed dirty. Louis changed the sheets on their bed, and the bathroom at least looked decent. He offered to run Alex a bath but he refused, and instead used up the warm water they could spare filling the tub. Then he stripped down, leaving his dirt and oil soaked uniform on the tile floor. There was still oil and sand in his hair, around his nails, enough he wonders if it’ll ever wash out. He wonders how Louis could bear to kiss him once the door was closed.
When he pulled himself out of the bath, he saw that Louis had set out some clothes on the bed already, a pair set of drawers and an undershirt with the paper ribbon still on it, a starched overshirt folded neatly over top of it. Alex pushes the overshirt aside and just goes for the under things. He won’t be going out for a while.
He went back out to the kitchen, then, fully prepared to sit down at the table or to first fruitlessly offer to help Louis with something. But as soon as he was in the kitchen he stopped in the doorway, almost didn’t want to breath, just wanted to stay there and remember this, exactly, forever.
Louis was standing at the stove, the gas of the machine thick and hot in the air. There was a small carton of eggs next to his elbow, behind that, a paper bag of bread. His hair is the same, soft and getting too long, his lips poked out as he cuts a razor thin slice of butter into the pan.
He was wearing his slip. The silk ladies’ night slip that someone at the corner store probably still thought Alex bought for some bird. It looked beautiful on him, it always has, even if the silk is wore and the lace over his chest looked stiff and wrinkled and a little yellow. The slip fell to Louis’s knees, the thin straps clinging to the knobby bones of his shoulders, the rest of the fabric skimming over his waist, his hips.
He was thin. He’s always been little, but he’s thin, now, some of his softness chipped away by long nights and civilian rations. His knuckles stuck out a bit, his fingers look delicate while he cracked the eggs in the pan, lifted a fork to break them up.
“How long’s it been since you’ve had real eggs?” he asked. It took Alex a minute to answer. He can see every bone rotating in Louis’s wrist.
“A fair while,”
“You’ll get sick of them soon. Probably get sick of bread sooner,”
“I’m already tired of it,”
“Then we’re off to a good start,” Louis murmured. He pushed the eggs around, the bottoms sticking to congeal the pan and sticking.
Alex breathed in deeply and went over to him, then, putting his hands on him the second he could. He pulled the cool, slippery fabric of the slip up, got his hands on the swell of Louis’s behind.
“Missed you, babydoll,” he murmured into his neck, and Louis huffed, pushing an elbow back.
“Not now,” he sighed, “You’ll make me burn it,”
“You’ll burn it anyways,”
Louis huffed and jabbed his elbow back again, making Alex have to jump out of the way.
“Go sit down,” Louis said, “You want tea?”
“Sure,”
“I’ll put the water on after this, then,” Louis murmurs. He lifts his hand, wiping at his forehead. There’s sweat building there from the pure heat of the stove. The thin strap of his slip falls a bit and Louis grabs it, slips it back over his shoulder.
Alex used to think Louis had the kind of face that men won wars for. He probably told him as much at the station before he left.
Now he realizes how much it takes to win wars. He’ll have to come up with a new metaphor.
When Louis served him a plate, the eggs were dry and black in places and the bread’s not much better, but the tea was good and nearly milk-less, which is how Alex’s always liked it. Louis sat across the table from him, nursing a cup of tea of his own, and Alex kept glancing up at him as he ate.
“Come closer,” he muttered at one point around the egg and bread in his mouth, and Louis just shook his head.
“You eat,” Louis said easily, “You got skinny on me while you were gone,”
Alex’s throat immediately felt thick, since Louis looked worse off than he did, but he didn’t say anything, just cast his eyes back down and pulled more food into his mouth until the plate was clear. He drank down more tea, letting the food wash down, and then he brought his head right back up.
“Now come here,” he said, and this time Louis just nodded and stood, his slip shifting and falling easily back over his body as he went over and then cast himself easily on Alex’s lap, his legs sprawled on either side of the chair, his feet pressed to the floor.
“Hope this is what you wanted,” he said, and Alex could only nod, couldn’t even bring his hands up to grip him, not when his nails still had oil in them and Louis looked so clean.
Louis’s eyes were closed and he pushed forward, pressing a soft kiss to the swell of Alex’s Adam’s apple, then moved lowering, his lips brhsing the hollow of his throat.
Alex’s hands tightened on his waist as Louis kissed him. He wanted to wash away in the feeling, but he couldn’t, not when he had barely gotten a good look at Louis’s eyes earlier.
The boy he’d met on the mole, the one he had never bothered to ask a name for, had told him after the fact that the man with the blankets was blind, that it would make no difference with whether he looked up at him or not. But people at the first station had cast their eyes down, voices had flown like razors.
Them boys don’t deserve the Royal uniforms when all they did was wait for a pick up.
Alex swallowed roughly, blinking back the burning behind his eyes, and he squeezed Louis’s waist once, enough to get his attention.
“Can you look at me?” he asked, and Louis easily lifted his head. His eyes found Alex’s immediately, and they were soft and bright, a mirror of the smile on his lips.
“What do I look like to you?” Alex asked softly, and Louis snorted and draped his arms over Alex’s shoulders.
“What, you want a compliment?” he said, still smiling, “Just need someone to tell you you’re the prettiest thing since the Crown Jewels?”
Alex tried to swallow again, but he felt his face shift and harden, making Louis frown.
“Alex,” he said softly, “What is it?”
“I did some bad things,” he managed, and Louis shook his head.
“No, you didn’t,”
“I ran away,”
“You got evacuated,”
“I could’ve stayed,”
“Yeah, and then you would’ve been brave and dead in the fucking French sand and where would that leave me, huh?” Louis asked, and pushed forward, pressing their noses together, “Did you think that through?”
Alex licked his lips, “I’m sorry,”
Louis sighed and drew back, “Listen. I don’t know what it’s like out there. I got a heart that skips too many beats that keeps me here. But I know you weren’t gonna just run away for no good reason,”
Alex swallowed hard, shook his head, “I tried to kick someone off a ship. He was French. Didn’t even do anything wrong, I just didn’t want to die,”
“That’s a reasonable thing to want,”
“That’s fucking selfish,”
“Yeah. You’re selfish, I’m selfish. I would’ve forgiven the whole army dying if you wound up safe on my doorstep,” Louis said. His voice was hard, and Alex knew he wasn’t going to win this argument, if that’s what it even was. He never won any of their arguments. Louis had soft eyes and a hard head and those were tough to compete with.
Alex shook his head again and then tilted his chin down, looking at his own lap.
“I’m sorry,” he said again, and Louis sighed and caught his fingers under Alex’s chin, making his gaze lift right back up.
“You’re home now,” he said softly, and Alex nodded.
“I know. I want to be home. I don’t want to think about that right now,”
Louis just looked at him carefully and nodded, shifting in Alex’s lap. As he moved, the strap of his slip fell down again, drooping to reveal more of his chest, a peaked, dusty nipple popping out. He lifted his shoulder, pressing it nearly to his ear as he gripped the wrinkled silk, tried to pull it back up to cover himself. Alex caught his wrist, made Louis loosen his fingers.
“Don’t you go acting coy on me,” he said, making his voice as light as he could manage. Louis blinked, then shook his head, smiling at the change in his tone.
“How were the birds in France?” he asked, “They pretty?”
“Not as pretty as you,”
“Not what I asked,”
Alex swallowed, and then shrugged, “Sure they were. Didn’t get much more of them,”
Louis lifted his brows, tilted his head.
“Yeah? What about those eight-pagers you boys pass around?” Louis asked, “Find something you like there?”
Alex swallowed, “No,”
He’d seen them. Of course he had. They were more valued than water and yet shared far more easily. He’d wanked to a picture in one of them once, a girl with dark hair and some blue shorts and not much else. He’d just covered the top part, kept the image of flared hips and a round bum and just pictured a firm chest and a stubble-sprinkled chin over top.
He liked girls just fine. But girls weren’t Louis. Neither were other boys, for that matter. For Alex, there was just him. Just Louis.
Louis smirked, shook his head.
“You just waitin’ around for me then, huh?” Louis said, and Alex nodded, which only made Louis laugh.
“I’d forgive you if you did, you know,” Louis said, “Find a dame you like, have some fun. I’d let it go,”
“No, you wouldn’t,”
“Sure I would,” Louis smirked, in a way that meant he certainly would not, except when he was following through with what game he was playing, “Because I’m still your favorite girl, right?”
Alex blinked up at Louis, at his sharp face and his parted, dry lips and his eyes, so big on his slimmer face.
“Huh?” Louis prompted again, and then lifted his hands and pushed on his chest, the push of it creating a small line between his pectorals, peeking over the edge of his neckline, “Don’t have a great rack like the other girls do but you don’t care, do you, love? You always liked what’s on the bottom, anyways,”
Alex licked his lips again, his throat suddenly feeling dry.
“You’d be right about that,”
“I know,” Louis smiled, then leaned forward, pushing his mouth firmly on Alex’s lax lips, “Come on then, handsome, you were all about that earlier, what’s the point of you having hands if you don’t put them to use?”
Alex lifted his hands, then, hesitating for a second. Louis gave him a sharp and expectant look, though, and then he pushed his hands forward and then back around. He gripped Louis’s bum in both hands, a thick swell under the slippery silk. Louis rolled his hips forward and Alex groaned shifting his own lap to meet him. His cock felt thick and hard in his drawers but he couldn’t get any friction on Louis, not when he was squirming around his lap.
“You got Vaseline?” he asked.
“Of course,” Louis scoffed, “You wanna be the one to go get it?”
Alex groaned, then shook his head.
“I got a better idea. Get up,”
Louis blinked at him but shifted himself, getting his feet flat on the floor and then lifting himself up until he was standing. Alex got up to, set his hands on Louis’s waist and then kicked at the chair behind him, giving them more room in front of the table. Louis’s gaze lifted, his eyes widening for just a moment before he looked back down and then turned, so his back was pressing to Alex’s front. Alex leaned forward, pressing his lips firmly to the side of Louis’s neck.
“Lean over,” he murmured, and Louis pushed himself closer to Alex’s touch but then leaned forward, setting his hands on the edge of the table. Alex pushed against the small of his back, his fingers barely getting traction against the slip.
“Yeah, come on, baby doll, show off for me,” he said, “You know you want to, wriggling around in your bed things like some call girl,”
Louis exhaled loudly and then pushed himself out, flattening his belly against the table and pushing his legs and hips out more. Alex got a hold of his hips and then roughly shoved up the back of the slip over the pale swell of Louis’s arse. His hands went right to his cheeks, then, and gave them a squeeze and then spread him out to see a tight hole and his pinkening cock and his swollen balls.
Alex lowered himself onto his knees, the tile of the kitchen biting his legs, and he nipped at the inside of Louis’s thigh. Louis yelped, high and strained, and Alex lapped over the pink mark on his leg before kissing it. He dragged his lips up the inside of his thigh, bit again at the soft swell of the underside of one cheek, which made Louis whimper a bit too loudly.
“We have neighbors,” Alex said a bit too firmly.
“I know,” Louis sighed, “Maybe they should put up with it. Nancy from upstairs got her husband back a month ago and I’ve had to listen to them try to make a baby every night since then,”
Alex laughed, pressing another kiss to Louis’s arse cheek.
“Could give you a baby if you wanted that,”
“Even if you could, I’d rather you give me whatever you’re planning back there,”
So Alex lifted his chin and pressed his mouth right to Louis’s hole, giving it a soft kiss that made the other man inhale sharply. Then he pushed in hard with the point of his tongue, keeping his lips hard and tight over the ring of muscle while he licked.
Louis twitched, his hips moving and pushing, and Alex flattened his tongue, lapping roughly a few times over his rim, keeping his hands tight on Louis’s thighs while he did. He lowered his lips, kissing the soft skin of his taint, and then lapped over the whole area, from the base of his rim to the very tops of his balls.
“Alex,” Louis exhaled, soft and sharp, “Alex, baby,”
He didn’t speak, mostly because he didn’t want to pull away. He kind of wanted to spin Louis around by his hips, get his cock in his mouth just to feel the weight of it, the way it perfectly filled his mouth without making his jaw too sore, so he could hold him in a place he could easily look up and see Louis’s face.
But when he brought his lips back to his rim, Louis gasped again, and it was enough to keep his mouth right there.
He kept his tongue pointed at firm, and he prodded at him, licking around his rim and the inside of his cheeks, then pushed straight into his hole like he was trying to open him up even without his finges. He’d flatten his tongue back out occasionally to lick broader strips over him, a few times he could put his tongue back entirely, kiss his hole and his taint and his balls. He lifted a hand, dragging it on the inside of Louis’s thigh, even reaching out to stroke at Loius’s length with his knuckles. He was hard, and leaking, and Alex’s own cock was thick and tight against his drawers, but he’d live if he could keep listening to the sweet, sweet sounds Louis kept making.
And then, suddenly, he had to pull away because Louis was crying.
“What’s wrong?” Alex asked as he got back to his feet. Louis was collapsed fully on the table, his legs shaking and his head buried into his arms, and his shoulders were quaking. Alex touched his shoulder and tried to get him to turn over, and then went easily, his face pink and wet when he was finally on his back.
Alex opened his mouth to speak, to apologize or to at least ask if he was alright, but Louis beat him to the chase.
“I love you,” Louis gasped, “I love you, you understand me?”
Again, Alex tried to speak and he cut right in.
“Don’t you dare think it would’ve been better if you hadn’t come back,” Louis said, “I don’t care if they had to haul you out, you’re here now,”
Softer, he spoke again, “You’re here now,”
Alex nodded and leaned forward, hovering right over Louis.
“How am I supposed to leave you?” Alex murmured, “Pretty face like yours is what someone can dream of coming home to,”
Louis looked up at him easily, his face still so open, so forgiving, and when Alex spoke again, his voice was in danger of cracking and he didn’t even bother trying to swallow it down.
“I love you,” he said, “You’re the only person I’m ever going to love, baby doll,”
Louis gave him one more long, long look, and then grabbed his shirtfront and tugged him forward, narrowing his eyes as he did.
“You listen to me,” Louis said, “You go into the bedroom and find the Vaseline, and then you’re going to fuck me. Alright?”
Alex nodded, and Louis pushed his chest, enough to make him stumble back and trip over his feet as he went to the bedroom, found the tin of jelly in the top shelf of their shared dresser before he rushed right back to the kitchen, took his place in front of Louis’s easily sprawled body.
He slicked him down and held down his wrists, thrust his hips forward into him until the table quaked and the top of Louis’s slip slid all the way down, nearly to his waist. Louis cried out, loud and high, enough that if anyone heard they’d probably think he was a bird. He didn’t take him long for him to tremble and for his cock to spill all over the edge of his slip, a couple droplets slipping off his sharp hips and onto the table. It’d be a bitch to clean up, especially the cold water and scrubbing Louis would have to put into getting the slip back into shape. But Alex couldn’t even care, because he was pushing forward, spilling into Louis, making the other man groan weakly and buck back. His face was slick and pink, his hair limp.
When he opened his eyes, they were dark and far off and shifting, like the waves of a sea Alex actually wanted to remember.
Louis reached out a hand, and Alex let Louis grab the back of his neck, draw him forward, kiss his lips softly and then drag a thumb over his cheek. Alex’s throat felt tight, and when Louis pulled back, he whispered carefully, his fingertips still lingering soft on his skin.
“Welcome home, Private,” he said, “I’ll make sure you want to stay,”

Haxanthan? :P
Send me a ship and I'll tell you... (Jonathan/Hacker/Alex)
@subjectl9546
Who washes the dishes by hand and who uses the dishwasher?
Jon is the one who just can't stand messy rooms, so he'll be the first to clean the dishes, until they buy a dishwasher and make his life a bit easier.
Who cuts vegetables, fruit, etc by hand and who uses the easy to use chopper?
Vegetables? Fruits? In Haxander's house? Unheard of.
They probably only have a few speckled bananas in the fridge and maybe a few apples, and since Jon doesnt usually eat fruits, no one needs to chop it.
Who pours the cereal into the bowl first and who pours milk before the cereal?
I know this is a trick question and I don't know what answer is the correct one.
So Haxander (who are a lot more informed about cereal memes than I am) probably do it the right way, while Jon eats the cereal without any milk.
Who buys/drinks bottle water and who uses/drinks from the tap?
Usually they all drink from the tap, unless Alex and/or Dan are in a concert or otherwise outside and feel thirsty.
Who hoards disposable containers and who throws them away?
Haxander used to throw them away, since they probably have an abundance of take out containers. Jon probably starts hoarding them because they can be reused once washed.
Who buys milk in a paper carton and who buys it in a plastic jug?
Jon is enviroment friendly and buys the paper ones.
Who picks paper bags and who picks plastic bags after grocery shopping?
Jon also probably makes them use backpacks or cotton sacks instead of buying new bags every time.
Who HOARDS the plastic bags and who recycles them?
Enviromental Friendly Alien Strikes Again: and makes them recycle all their disused plastic
Who hoards salt/pepper packs, togo silverware and other togo condiments?
I have a feeling Alex does that, seeing how he must've hoarded a lot before the Parable. I dont think Jon has a heart to force him to throw out his collection, until it gets too overwhelming
Who lets the garbage can overflow before throwing it out?
Jon doesn't let the garbage overflow, he makes sure it's thrown out regulary.
Who gets annoyed when someone doesn’t use the clips for the potato chips?
Also Jon? I think he'd like chips and stuff, since they're crunchy, but once they become stale, they're kinda gross
Who uses paper plates?
The culprit is Dan. Jon and Alex hold a intervention where they explain ceramic plates are a lot cheaper.
Who uses coasters?
Jon, when they're eating fancy with guests over
Who licks the spoon/butter knife after they use it?
Alex, I’m 100% sure
Who loses the bread ties?
All of them, probably. They just use rubber bands
Who kicks the ice under the fridge when it falls on the ground?
Alex, and maybe Dan?
Who constantly cuts/burns themselves when they cook?
Haxander, I'm sure and Jon fusses constantly over them.
Who organizes the spice rack?
Jonathan
Who uses the microwave more?
Haxander use it constantly. Jon's suspicious of it ever since he accidently exploded an egg
Who stops the microwave one second before time's up?
Alex maybe? Or both him and Dan.

Itachi & Hikaru for the Kitchen meme!!!
Send me a ship and I’ll tell you.. (KITCHEN/COOKING HABITS)
Who washes the dishes by hand and who uses the dishwasher? Hikaru always washes them by hand and sometimes Itachi helps too, they don’t have a dishwasher (they’re a bit old-fashioned)
Who cuts vegetables, fruit, etc by hand and who uses the easy to use chopper? Hikaru chops by hand, but if Itachi steps into the kitchen while she is at it, they have fun creating figures or seeing who does it faster
Who pours the cereal into the bowl first and who pours milk before the cereal? Itachi follows logic and doesn’t eat much, so he pours the cereal first and adds the milk later to control his portions. Hikaru is a big eater, so she fills the bowl with milk and then pours a lot of cereal.
Who buys/drinks bottle water and who uses/drinks from the tap? Hikaru is used to drink from the tap, but buys bottle water for Itachi and puts them on the fridge to help him refresh after work
Who hoards disposable containers and who throws them away? Hikaru hoards some of them but Itachi throws them away, after all, they’re DISPOSABLE
Who buys milk in a paper carton and who buys it in a plastic jug? Both prefer paper carton since they found out that it helps preserve the nutrients in milk better and prolongs its shelf life.
Who picks paper bags and who picks plastic bags after grocery shopping? Hikaru prefers to use tote bags, but when Itachi buys something, he chooses paper unless they need plastic bags.
Who HOARDS the plastic bags and who recycles them? They recycle them. Hikaru sometimes uses them to put clothes or for one of her crafts, while Itachi gives them a more practical use.
Who hoards salt/pepper packs, togo silverware and other togo condiments? Hikaru, because she puts them on Itachi’s bento
Who lets the garbage can overflow before throwing it out? Neither, Hikaru can’t stand the smell and Itachi is a neat freak.
Who gets annoyed when someone doesn’t use the clips for the potato chips? Hikaru, because chips tend to become chewy if not stored properly. Nonetheless, Itachi always puts the clip, so…
Who uses paper plates? Both, when they have a reunion/party at home with many people
Who uses coasters? Both (Hikaru makes them :D)
Who licks the spoon/butter knife after they use it? Hikaru licks the spoon. Itachi sometimes does it if it’s sweet, but doesn’t like to be seen
Who loses the bread ties? Itachi. He doesn’t do it on purpose, though (his sight is bad).
Who kicks the ice under the fridge when it falls on the ground? Neither, they prefer to avoid accidents once the ice melts and leaks from under the fridge.
Who constantly cuts/burns themselves when they cook? Itachi
Who organizes the spice rack? Who uses the microwave more? Itachi organizes the spice rack on alphabetical order (especially if bored) and he also uses the microwave when reheating dinner every time he comes home late.
Who stops the microwave one second before time’s up? Hikaru. For some reason, she can’t stand the beeping sound of microwaves.

Cynkee's in the kitchen with Buddha~ (kitchen memeplease!)
Who washes the dishes by hand and who uses the dishwasher? Cyn is poor as fuck, and so is Lokke so they are both used to having to do this chore manually.
Who cuts vegetables, fruit, etc by hand and who uses the easy to use chopper? It depends if we are talking about rough on the eyes sort of vegetables. If it’s garlic, horseradish, onions, etc? Get out the chopper because fuck that nonsense. If it’s anything else, it can be cut by hand. As far as Lokke’s preferences? I have no clue. Unless he wants to take on the chore of super fine chopping onions since I tend to gag at the texture of them, but love the taste of them in most sauces and Italian dishes
Who pours the cereal into the bowl first and who pours milk before the cereal? Again I ask, what fucking moron? Actually...probably Lokke by default. The dumbfuck doesn’t know how to “human” sometimes and flakes so it makes sense
Who buys/drinks bottle water and who uses/drinks from the tap? Pfft, buys bottled water -.-, Nope. Well water atw
Who hoards disposable containers and who throws them away? She doesn’t horde containers as much as she loves to collect different looking ones that are heavy duty and have screw on lids. She’s especially fond of cigar boxes, trinket looking containers she can store useful spell ingredients in that do not dry them out
Who buys milk in a paper carton and who buys it in a plastic jug? Whatever is on sale. Doesn’t matter what the hell it comes in, because Cyn at least knows what a damn recycle bin is for unlike the dork known as Sam
Who picks paper bags and who picks plastic bags after grocery shopping? Doesn’t matter, she grabs whatever is quickest to get her out of the store and back home to do whatever it is she does.
Who HOARDS the plastic bags and who recycles them? Like I said, she knows how to recycle so she doesn’t really keep a lot of it on hand. Just whatever builds up beside the pantry over the course of two weeks. Then whatever excess it is tends to be taken out to the curb and disposed of properly
Who hoards salt/pepper packs, togo silverware and other togo condiments? Lokke? I have no idea why, just seems like he would instead of out-right buying it legally from the store. He seems like he’d have a bit of a klepto side, so much so I think he’d even steal from the Martin’s grocery supply as well as Cyn until she catches him red handed one day and lays the fuck into his sticky fingered ass
Who lets the garbage can overflow before throwing it out? I can’t stand the thoughts of this as a whole so you already know that’s a big no-no. Can’t say the same for Lokke. He seems like he might let things go a lot longer in his own home, not mine.
Who gets annoyed when someone doesn’t use the clips for the potato chips? Ugh a fucking PET PEEVE OF MINE!! DO NOT GET ME STARTED ON HOW FUCKING MAD THIS MAKES ME!!!! Cuz it does. Oh my fuckin’ GOD DO NOT EVER DO THIS IF IT IS FOOD YOU KNOW I WILL EAT OR I WILL KILL YOU! .....okay kill is a strong word. I’ll just hex your lazy ass and make you so damn constipated, you beg for forgiveness
Who uses paper plates? *raises hand* yes, use them a lot for quick fix meals especially like sandwiches, chips and dip, etc
Who uses coasters? Nope, can’t afford them. I’m that damn poor
Who licks the spoon/butter knife after they use it? I don’t, Buddha does. Especially mayonaise
Who loses the bread ties? I’m guilty of it but I do rarely. And if it does happen, I tighten the bag up spinning it soundly closed and set the weight of the loaf down on the undertuck to keep it as fresh as possible before next usage
Who kicks the ice under the fridge when it falls on the ground? I wouldn’t do this because of how bad the floors are already. Not sure, but this also sounds a lot like something a man (namely Lokke, Sam, and Azazel) would all be guilty of doing
Who constantly cuts/burns themselves when they cook? Keebles
Who organizes the spice rack?Who uses the microwave more? I’m a fucking freak about my kitchen. It needs to be organized or I will fucking flip out on someone that misplaces something I normally have it setting
Who stops the microwave one second before time's up? I will only do this if someone is sleeping at my house and I am trying to cut out as much noise as possible. That’s the only time I do it because I feel like on some level it’s the courteous thing to do. Why, I have no idea.

36 Easy Tips That Will Keep Your Food Fresh And Save You Money
Have you ever thought about how much food waste occurs in your house? According to Money magazine, the average household tosses out about 14% of the food they buy. For the typical family, that adds up to over $1,300 worth of food per year! We can probably all think of about a hundred different things we could do with that kind of money. We'd put it towards a family vacation, catch up on bills, get a new outfit… anything other than throw it away!
Related: These 10 Hacks Will Help You Cut Down On Food Waste
Fortunately, a lot of food waste can be avoided by learning a few simple food storage tips. When foods are stored properly, they'll stay fresher for a longer period of time. Making a few simple changes to the way you store your food can help you avoid waste, shop less, and save money on your grocery bill! So today I'm sharing 36 quick tips for storing food that will help keep it fresh. I've broken the list into categories, including fruits and veggies, meat and eggs, pantry staples, and dairy products. But before we get to the more specific stuff, let's get started with a few general tips for ensuring food freshness. :-)
General Tips For Keeping Your Food Fresh
#1 – Make sure the inside of your fridge is the right temperature! Ideally your fridge should run right around 38-40°F. This will keep your food as fresh as possible, without making your food so cold that it freezes. Use a fridge thermometer to verify the temperature of your fridge!
#2 – Make sure to check on the expiration date on foods while you're shopping. It's fine to buy foods that are a day or two away from their expiration date, but only do it if you can make a solid plan to eat that food in the next day or two.
#3 – Try to plan a few meals that center around what's in your fridge, and how long it is expected to last. For instance, if you have a bag of spinach in your fridge that is on its last legs, you could plan to use it in omelets the next day!
#4 – Grow your own food! Home-grown tomatoes, squash, and herbs are packed with flavor, and can be harvested and eaten the very same day. You don't have to worry about how long your food has traveled or how long ago it was picked when you grow it yourself.
#5 – Buy local! If you're not much of a gardener, the next best option for fresh produce is to buy it from a local farmer. Local produce is sure to last you at least a few days longer than their supermarket equivalents, which has already traveled long distances before it arrives at the store. And it's always good to support local businesses!
#6 – Clean and prep fresh food shortly after you get home, according to how you like to eat or use it. If it's all prepped and ready to go for cooking or snacking, you'll be much more likely to actually use it before it goes bad!
Tips For Storing Fruits & Vegetables
#7 – Line the bottom of the crisper drawers in your fridge with paper towels. The paper towels will absorb excess moisture and help keep many foods fresh, rather than rotting prematurely.
#8 – You can help keep mushrooms from getting slimy by wrapping them in paper towels before refrigerating.
#9 – If you notice your tomatoes are about to go bad, roast them in slices or chunks. Place the roasted pieces in a container with olive oil, and they'll stay good in the fridge for about a week.
#10 – Wash berries in water and a small splash of vinegar before refrigerating them to help keep them fresh. Store them in the plastic container they came in, or a ziplock bag. Place them in the back of the fridge where it stays coldest.
#11 – Wrap lettuce in a damp paper towel before storing to help keep it fresh. If your lettuce has started wilting, you can usually revive it by soaking it in ice water for several minutes.
#12 – Store kale, collard greens, Swiss chard, and other hardy greens with their stems in a glass of water. Cover the greens loosely in a plastic bag, and they'll stay nice and crisp longer.
#13 – To keep celery, carrots, and radishes fresh, chop them and store them in the fridge in a container of water. They'll stay fresh for a surprisingly long time this way!
#14 – Coat whole squashes in a thin layer of vegetable oil and store them in your pantry. They can stay good for months this way!
#15 – Keep apples separate from your other food. Apples give off ethylene gas, which causes other foods to decay more quickly. And if your apples start getting soft, you can always cook them rather than eating them raw!
#16 – You can triple the lifespan of green onions by storing them in a jar of water on your counter top. The tops will keep growing and you can snip them off as needed!
#17 – Asparagus will last longer in the fridge if stored with its ends in water. Just stand the bunch up with the larger ends at the bottom, and stick it in a shallow glass of water.
#18 – Avoid separating bananas before you plan to eat them. They stay fresher, longer when kept in a bunch! Store bananas at room temperature until ripe. If they've over-ripened, stick them in the freezer and use them to make banana bread later on.
#19 – Don't store bulbs of garlic in a closed container. It will last much longer if stored in an open basket or a paper bag.
#20 – When buying avocados that need to ripen, store them at room temperature. If an avocado is ripe but you don't plan on using it for a few days, stick it in the fridge to stop it from going bad.
#21 – Keep herbs fresh by storing them in whole bunches. Just rinse the bunch, put it in a ziplock freezer bag, and toss it in your freezer. It should stay fresh for up to a month this way! When you're ready to use them, just chop them up and toss them in whatever you're cooking.
Tips For Storing Meat, Fish, And Eggs
#22 – Fish should be kept in a bag on top of a bowl of ice inside your fridge. Eat it as soon as possible! You can also freeze fish to keep it fresh for longer.
#23 – Store eggs in their original carton. If you can't decide if your eggs are still fresh, place one in a cup of water. Fresh eggs should sink, while old eggs usually float.
#24 – Meat and poultry should be kept in its original packaging if you'll eat it in the next day or two. If not, wrap it in tin foil or stick it in a ziplock bag, then store it in your freezer. Smoked meats like bacon, ham, etc. can be wrapped in a vinegar-dampened cloth, then wrap the whole thing in wax paper and freeze.
Tips For Storing Bread And Pantry Staples
#25 – Freezing flour for 48 hours is sure to kill any insects that may be present. After that, transfer it to a tightly sealed container. Store the container in a cool, dark location.
#26 – Buy whole bean coffee, and grind it as needed to get the best flavor. Store your coffee beans in an airtight and opaque container to keep it fresh, and use within 3-4 days. (If you bought more than you can use in a few days, freeze the rest to keep it fresh.)
#27 – To help keep weevils at “bay,” store your flour, rice, or cornmeal with a bay leaf in the container. The scent of the bay leaf should deter weevils from moving in.
#28 – Storing bread in the fridge can actually cause it to store more quickly due to the moist environment. Bread is best kept on your countertop in a tightly sealed bag or container.
#29 – Store your dry foods in airtight containers, rather than the packaging they came in! This will help keep pasta, cereal, pretzels, and other foods fresher for longer. I like to use mason jars, but any airtight container will do!
#30 – If you live in a humid area, you've likely experienced salt clumping up in your salt shaker. To prevent this from happening, put a pinch of dry rice into the shaker too. The rice will absorb excess moisture and keep the salt from sticking together.
#31 – Storing brown sugar in your freezer will keep it from hardening. For brown sugar that has already gone rock-solid, toss a piece of bread or a marshmallow in with it to soften it up.
#32 – Honey won't ever spoil, so don't toss it out when you see crystals or cloudiness. Just microwave it on medium heat in 30 second increments until it clears up and thins back out.
Tips For Storing Dairy Products
#33 – Before storing cheese in your fridge, wrap it securely in wax paper. Wax paper allows the cheese to breathe while keeping it dry. After cutting cheese, you can rub butter on the cut part to help keep it fresh. Cheese keeps pretty well in the freezer too!
#34 – Keep milk in the main part of your fridge rather than the door. Items stored in the door of your fridge are subjected to temperature fluctuations every time the fridge door is opened. Milk will stay fresh for longer if kept nice and cold!
#35 – To keep cottage cheese or sour cream fresh, here's an easy tip. Store it upside-down in your fridge! Inverting the container creates a vacuum which will help reduce the chance of mold or bacteria growing on the surface.
#36 – Store butter in it's original package. Stock up when it's on sale and freeze it to keep it fresh. Seal it up in a freezer bag, and it will stay good for up to 6 months in there!
Using these simple tips, you can cut back on food waste and save yourself some money while you're at it! Do you have any tips for keeping food fresh? Share them in a comment below, and we can continue the conversation! :-)
