the only censorship we need is the block, mute and filter option because giving others the power to dictate what can and cannot exist in fandom will eventually lead to banning all nsfw works or even slightly but nuanced ‘problematic’ topics. ​I block and move on because I don’t want to see certain things but to erase them completely is a dangerous slope to having things you like be banned eventually.

SGA Summer Music Festival 2025

Have you ever:

Then this is the festival for you! As the summer wraps up, the annual Stargate Atlantis Summer Music Festival 2025 aims to collect all kinds of fanworks inspired by or about music. Submissions will be open until the end of summer, the autumnal equinox, Monday, September 22, 2025.

Throughout the festival, we will regularly update this year’s playlists on Spotify and YouTubeMusic with all of the songs that inspire your works, and we will post them as their own work in the collection at the end of the festival.

i get so happy when people that are new to fanfic writing, or just writing in general, post their work on ao3. despite their doubts, despite their fear of something so personal and vulnerable being perceived, they still press that button, and i turn into the equivalent to a proud mom cheering on the sidelines. like yes! you did that! your work is worth seeing! you deserve to share your passion for and be part of a community! i’m so proud of you!

little steps toward better taking care of yourself are not insignificant. getting into a fairly consistent sleep schedule, remembering to take your medications on time, drinking enough water throughout the day, eating things that will make your body feel better during the day, and keeping your space clean before it becomes a depression room again are all amazing accomplishments.
