Half of me wants to see Hunter and Crosshair's interaction to either go like,,

Hunter understanding the circumstances and respecting Omega's decision and him reassuring Crosshair it wasn't his fault because that'll show actual character growth for Hunter (Force knows he needs it) and they go on to develop a plan to bring her back.

BUT!!!

The other half of me wants to see them fight and for Wrecker to have to break it up or something because they're all emotional and they've got so much going on and I just want all of them to have a collective mental break down and cry together.

Either way!! It will be depressing, I will cry, Crosshair will blame himself and I'll eat my arm.

Anyway do you ever think about the abandonment issues this girl has. Can you imagine if, say, some american mafia boss took advantage of that to get her to come to their side. Can you imagine her climbing the ranks all the way to second in command and finally proving herself and getting to Do Stuff™. Wouldn't it be great if NWoS had Layton being forced to see how much he hurt her by trying to protect her. But it's much too late now she wants nothing to do with him. So she's ordered to kill him by The Boss but she can't bring herself to do it. Because despite all the hate she's accumulated she knows he never meant to hurt her. And in order to save the city or whatever Layton and Flora had to reconcile. Imagine the character growth imagine the healing imagine the drama. Anyway here's some doodles I made of her plus one I made in my notebook.

alnst friday prediction concepts yeees ! !

before i unload a bit, im gonna be honest . . are we even getting an alnst friday ? ? we got art today, so we maybe won’t get art tomorrow :(

anyways, the more i dwell on that, the more i actually think it’s gonna happen, so predictions start now !

one of my first ideas before i saw todays art, was that we’d get a super duper depressing art for till’s birthday, or a super happy one, one or the other basically .

and even though we got a birthday art for till today instead ( even though his birthday is tomorrow but ive noticed vivinos and qmeng upload art a day before their birthdays ), i kinda sorta maybe think we’ll get another birthday art for till thatll be depressing instead hahaha

i honestly think we’ll just get only till content with sprinkles of the others, or we’ll just get the normal silly arts and the sketches .

my predictions for the normal arts would probably be something . . ivan related ? ? or dewey ? i dunno, I havent thought it through much, but counting from the behind of round 6 post, here are the numbers of how many appearances our characters have made in the arts !

looking at these stats . . maybe hyuna or luka content ? ? out of the the two luka is more of a chance because he hasn’t gotten content in 2 weeks, and hyuna just did . though if the mizisua arts can be recurring, girlboss hyuna can too .

and maybe maybe maybe . . . we can get silly hyuluka art ? ? i dunno because this is probably like the least chance of happening soo

also i kinda just wanna see till depressed 🤭

Yeah I'm sticking with my #793 prediction.

Barry is going to invent something game changing using the vehicle Ace and Bart got him. They'll make a plan of attack using this game changing invention. Irey will stay behind (likely Jesse will convince her to stay back and guard Jai). The Fraction will go nuts because they lost their only power source. The speedsters will start off winning the fight but it will all go horribly wrong in the end. All of them will get captured by the Fraction.

Also the 'mystery kid' Don Allen, won't reveal who he is this issue. That twist will be saved. Don's either going to pass out or he's going to keep quiet about it.

The Born to Run music video is likely just tangentially related to the issue. It's probably the vibe music Adams associates with the event or something. It likely has no relation to the Born to Run Flash arc. Possibly this final verse could be related to the issue?

"The highway's jammed with broken heroes on a last chance power drive. Everybody's out on the run tonight but there's no place left to hide" < could very well be referring to all the speedsters making their final stand against the Fraction in this issue. But idk. The song feels tangential at best.

tbb finale predictions/thoughts

sadly i do not have a drawing for bad batch eve (but will probably do something afterwards depending on who dies and how)

anyways i hope echo gets to personally free the prisoners and shoot hemlock in the face as a reversal of skako minor

(thoughts on possible deaths below)

I hope echo gets to confront hemlock before he dies - it's implied that echo's situation inspired a lot of the experimental empire projects (like the one with tseebo) and it would be so fitting to force hemlock to face what he's actually doing - he seems to keep himself very distanced from the actual subjects of his experiments (refusing to acknowledge the "specimens" of the vault, "overseeing" the lab work but leaving the prisoner-interacting mostly to emerie/nala se). also this would work really well with how weirdly corpsey echo still looks - although he does look healthier than when he was first rescued, the effects of the techno union's torture & experimentation are clearly evident just by looking at him (scomp hand and head outlets being the most obvious).

and then for echo to die after leading omega/jedi kids/the prisoners to freedom would be such a cool parallel to his citadel death! he's dying for a greater cause (clone rebellion vs gar) but this time it's the one he chose himself. this also ties into his whole arc in s1 (or s2? idk) about him wanting to do more than the scope the batch was operating at, and how that led to him separating from the batch.

and the shadow clones!! tantiss is literally corrupting clones into working against their brothers, same as echo's whole situation in the techno union. so for him to confront hemlock about the prisoners would be so powerful! and then he gets to die saving the not-fully-corrupted clones, like he's paying forward his own survival and rescue and granting that same relief to so many other clones.

it would also be really fitting for his name and the rest of domino - the last Domino falls while setting in motion a grander plan for the future with the liberation of the prisoners and the destruction of tantiss, and the echoes of his legacy would be felt for decades. and if he blows the base up himself - Hevy made the first conscious sacrifice of Domino, and Echo might make the last.

I think the rest of the batch would be more fitting for a sadder death - something contrasting hope/hopelessness themes nirnaeth-style. maybe they all die in an explosion, and as they see it heading their way (like in rogue one) they know their time is up - they were created as CF99 to serve a very specific function in the gar, and now that that structure's gone they've spent 3 episodes drifting. tipoca city was destroyed. they almost settled on ord mantell, but then cid sold them out. then they tried to settle on pabu, but the empire showed up and burned the place down. the Marauder, the first and last of their homes, was destroyed. it's clear they have no place in the imperial-era galaxy, and i'm guessing they'll come to realize this pretty soon.

but! there's still hope. not for them, but the destruction of tantiss (even if it means their deaths) would herald a slightly brighter future. rex and the proto-rebellion are still alive. they've served their place well, and galaxy will go on without them. omega will take their training (crosshair's sniper lesson, echo's marksmanship training when she first got the bow, wrecker teaching her explosives, tech's driving lessons, hunter's role model figure) and the emotional development she's gotten with each of them and use it to serve her own role in the new galaxy, presumably as a fighter in the fledgling rebellion. there's no hope for them now, but there's hope for the future.

finally decided i should mention hermann's birthday in my fic because the fic is set in june and it would be weird otherwise. this gives me Actual Dates when previously i was just like "idk sometime in june" (june k, june k+1, june k+2...)

anyway it turns out if i just tweak the timeline slightly, the chapter where all the worst stuff happens can be set on friday the 13th >:)
