You might think that its funny that UHC CEO was murdered but someday you might be the CEO of a multi billion dollar corporation making an eight figure salary maybe you wont think its so funny
The day I make eight figures, or seven for that matter (six also seems kinda pushing sanity, not to mention decency) the day I really start worrying about the people paying me, like their sanity and such. I know my worth, probably ten thousand bucks more than I make now, max, and that keeps me well under the six figure income bracket.
On the day I make eight figures for inventing a widget that slices bread eight times faster than the latest doohickey on the market, I'm donating that money, and not to my own money laundering charity front either, I'm giving that shit straight to the Peshmerga or Karen National Union (two groups I've always been fond of along with the Zapatista) and keeping back maybe the five figures I need to support my family on. With maybe an extra five thousand a year to support local artists and underfunded historical preservation initiatives... but most of this magical money is going to groups actually doing the work.
I'm hoping, of course, that by the time I become a CEO both Kurdistan and the Karens have achieved independence, but also being realistic about this very silly scenario.
If I make my hypothetical millions on the blood, sweat, and suffering of people just to keep my shareholders happy, then, comrades all, I deserve any medicinal lead the people see fit to give me by the nearest bike messenger.

What is happening is absolutely horrifying. The most revolutionary thing we can do is never give up hope and never give up fighting and doing everything we can to end this gen-cide and end this system that not only let’s all of this happen but also has very few people profit off of it and therefore perpetuate it.
While fighting this inhumane system that perpetuates unspeakable crimes against humanity, while fighting this absolutely terrifying gen-cide and these crimes against humanity, it’s important we remember two things:
1. This fight while primarily for the liberation of the Palestinians, is just as much for our collective liberation as humanity.
It is a fight for the very soul of humanity and we cannot afford to lose!
2. A simple quote I originally read on tumblr years ago, probably over a decade ago, and it already rang true back to me then even tho I merely understood a fraction of it because I didn’t understand the economic and political system(s) we live under the way I do now, not even close. And yet I immediately understood it as absolutely true so this is why I put it here again as a thing we ~cannot~ forget while fighting this fight or else they will yet again appease us with scraps when this time we cannot stop until we put an end to this system that clearly not only doesn’t care for us, humanity or human rights but actively and happily destroyed them and us as humans in the worst way possible if it brings them even a tiny bit of profit. It is imperative to our collective liberation that we understand:
This system isn’t broken. It’s work exactly as intended. It was just never meant to work for us.
This system isn’t broken. It was built this way!
So draw the consequences and don’t stop at a ceasefire. Don’t stop at a release of the thousands of Palestinian hostages still held in “lsnt reaI”. Dont stop at an end to the genocide against the Palestinian people. Don’t stop at a free & Self governed Gaza & West Bank. Don’t stop at an end to the entire occupation. Don’t stop at an end to the genocide in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Don’t stop at an end to the “civil war” in Sudan. Don’t stop at an end to the genocide and occupation of the Papua people of Papua New Guinea. Don’t stop at an end to the exploitation of any African country. Don’t stop at the end of all genocides currently happening! Don’t stop at an end of the exploitation of any country!
We will only stop when all of us are free! Because none of us are free until all of us are free! We will not stop until this unjust system has been replaced by a system that is actually democratic, that serves the people and the planet as opposed to the 0.00001%!
None of us are free until all of us are free! So we won’t stop until all of us are free!
We won’t stop until we made sure this will NEVER happen again!
Because this system isn’t broken. It was built this way!

🇸🇾 #Syria - #Rojava: Turkish-backed mercenaries attempted to infiltrate a village in northern Manbij last night, with the Turkish military supporting the operation. The SDF’s Manbij Military Council was able to repel the attack, reportedly inflicting heavy casualties on the mercenaries. Turkish military convoys have now been seen heading in the direction of the Manbij frontlines.

Jinwar is a village for women and children in the Autonomous Administration of Nort and East Syria (also known as Rojava). It was built during the Syrian civil war, and is home to Kurdish, Arab and Yezidi women.
Some of the women have even been part of the YPJ, the Kurdish all-female fighting force within the Syrian Defense Forces.
Many of the women who have found refuge in Jinwar have been assaulted by soldiers or fled ISIS. In 2015, the UN concluded that about 40 percent of women and girls have experienced sexual violence while trying to access aid.
The village was inspired by the women's village in Umoja, Kenya, and the only men who are allowed inside the village are visitors who can come in by day. I think that this kinda shows how important it is for women all around the world to connect and to show to our sisters how stuff can be done.
I mean, building something like that in the face of ISIS???? In one of the most brutal warzones of the world, in Syria?? Building a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural and ecological village? Pardon me if I'm wrong, but I think that only women would be able to do something like this.

Last month I made a post about how I believed the "left" would turn on Muslims the nano second people stopped caring about the Palestinian people and I was wrong, it happened when the Syrian people rid themselves of a brutal dictator.
The "left" is so fucking infuriating like they look at Gaza and rightfully say "this is awful and needs to stop" but then looks at Syria and goes "well Assad likes the Palestinians so this is bad" like WHAT???.
Assad and his family murdered thousands of Syrian Palestinians and gassed their own people, like aren't we supposed to support people in taking back their own freedom. What happened to the leftist supporting Rojava and a Syria free from Assad, where did they go cause we need those people back.
And then the critzeism of HTS, SNA and surprisingly the SDF once people realized that the U.S backed them, like obviously trusting a former Al-Qaeda guy is difficult for most and impossible for others alongside a Turkish backed group which is a state hellbent on the genocide of the Kurdish people.
These people aren't saying that they don't trust them their just calling them all rebels (at times including the Kurds) ISIS, this whole time as just reminded me when Russian invaded into Ukraine and these same "leftists" started going full Russian and viewing them as some anti imperialist force and it's truly just obvious to me that these people aren't even on the left in any sort of way but are just opportunists who view anything america or it's allies to bad and everything else as good.

now that assad's regime fell, its more obvious than ever, the "rebels" aren't here to free syria, they're here to switch from one anti west dictatorship, to another pro west dictatorship
the SNA territories are under turkish occupation, they are turkish proxies, they work as if they're part of the turkish army. they took part in the past and now again leading violent attacks, ethnic cleansing, and genocide against the kurdish people.
the HTS are ex al qaeda jihadists, they are loyal to al qaeda and their ideologies, they have committed many war crimes and crimes against humanity. they work closely with the SNA and SFA. they also threatened palestine and palestinian resistance forces.
the SFA are us proxies, they are under us occupation in oil rich territories, they allowed israel to use syrian airspace to attack Iran, they love the zionists.
israel claimed responsibility for assad's death, they invaded the southern operation room, and attempt to occupy more land in their goals of greater israel, they(with permission and collaboration of the new "temporary" syrian government) started an arial bombing campaign attacking and destroying a huge amount of ballistic missile and other explosive weapon stockpiles.
the new syrian government is talking with the zionist regime about making an embassy in both jerusalem and damascus.
this is a western coup, switching one regime with another.
if you stand for human rights and a free syria, you need to stand for rojava and the kurdish led resistance.

Analysis, Nov 27th Last night, the Kurdish People’s Democratic Assembly in Haringey, London, was subject to nothing short of an aggressive invasion by the police. There were no warrants and no legitimate reason for the aggression and violence that they conducted themselves with against a community of civilians celebrating a cultural event. This invasion by the Metropolitan Police comes only two days after UK defence minister Grant Shapps and Turkish counterpart Yaşar Güler held a meeting agreeing to “enhance” defence and security cooperation. As a result of foreign influence on parliament, we are seeing an increase in the number of people within our communities being arrested through the liberally applied ‘Schedule 7 of the Terrorism Act‘ (2000), including last week when our community was subject to another aggressive display by the police as they swarmed a small protest, outnumbering the protesters themselves and separating parents from the children, then interrogating them in front of their helpless and crying children. There is also the upcoming trial of Mark Campbell and a Kurdish asylum seeker, ‘Berîtan’, on the 17th and 18th of January, who will face trial for holding a Kurdish flag during a protest.
We must also highlight that this year is also 100 years since Kurdistan was divided by the Sykes-Picot agreement. Since that agreement, the Kurdish people have been subject to continuous attempts of ethnic cleansing, genocide, and ecocide by Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Turkey, including the Dersim Massacre, the Anfal Genocide Campaign, the Yazidi Genocide, etc. As a result, many civilians are forced to seek asylum in the UK and elsewhere. Yet what we are seeing is that, despite Turkey’s support for the ISIS insurgency in North and East Syria, the ethnic cleansing they have committed in Afrîn, and their heinous violations of human rights in Turkish prisons, as members of NATO, Grant Shapps and the UK government would have us believe that they are valuable allies whose “influence cannot be underestimated.” The Kurdish People’s Democratic Assembly invites all ethnic, religious, and cultural communities and organisations across the UK to unite with us to prevent the criminalisation of communities, mainly through the misuse of the Terrorism Act. The Metropolitan Police should not be a ‘for hire’ mercenary service to do the bidding of foreign dictatorships, and UK politicians must not be able to use the means of the justice system to advance their own political agendas. Syria news update
I'll be following this obsessively, so I may as well provide some info to anyone interested. An article published by Politico at about 1:30 EST(or last updated at that time, it could be either) claims that the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, or HTS forces now control around half of Aleppo. For any who don't know, these guys had been contained within part of the Idlib governorate since around 2020, and despite being theocratic terrorists who used to be a branch of al-Qaeda, their part of Idlib nearly doubled in population from around 4 million to around 8 million from refugees fleeing the Assad regime. Assad's forces, backed up by Iranian advisors and militias along with Russian drones and the occasional Russian airstrike had been waging a low-level campaign of bombings and artillery strikes against the rebels for months now, but they've melted in the face of this new advance.
There also seems to be some clashes between the remnants of the Syrian National Army(who control a small portion of the north of the country and are now backed by Turkey, who has troops in parts of the SNA's territory) and the Syrian government forces, with reports of an airstrike on an SNA base that could only have come from either the Syrian government or Russia. There are reports of the SNA having captured multiple villages and towns, though not nearly as many as the jihadis, since the SNA is, to borrow a nerd phrase, likely just making attacks of opportunity to capitalized on the Syrian government's weakness, as opposed to the jihadis who were likely planning and amassing forces for months.
The SDF has an enclave in Aleppo that was previously a majority-Kurdish neighborhood before the war, and they are confirmed to be sending reinforcements there. They had to go through government controlled territory to get there, but there's been some limited co-operation between the SDF and Syrian government in the past involving enclaves in each other's territory, and anyways it's not like the Syrian government has the werewithal to do anything about this even if they wanted to. There are reports of some clashes between the SDF and jihadis, but given how little territory the SDF controls in that region(outside of Aleppo they have another, larger enclave, but it's still pretty small compared to the other factions' territory and their own primary territory in the east) I don't know how much of a factor they'll be.
There's already been at least one high-ranking Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps advisor killed, and while Russia's ground forces have been hauling ass out of the region at least one drone operating team got caught, with some members confirmed killed via video and the rest either captured or executed. Given that there have been multiple confirmed instances of HTS using armored vehicles as suicide-car-bombs, I think we can safely assume that the laws of war aren't something they care about, with that likely being as true for the Syrian government. There are no real "good" factions here, but the SNA and Kurds are at the very least less bad than either Assad's despotic tyranny or HTS's theocratic extremism. But since the latter two are the main combatants, this is primarily a red-on-red campaign, with the factions backed by Turkey and the West for the moment seeming to be focused more on making short-term gains and/or protecting what they've already got from being overrun. I'll try and post more as more information becomes available.
EDIT: Update-the SDF appears to be seizing territory west of Aleppo. If I had to make an uneducated guess, I'd say they're trying to create a connection between their enclave in Aleppo and either their larger enclave in the north or their main body of territory in the east, and/or to capture any towns that are majority-Kurdish to protect them from the other factions.
