Here, take this
Thousands and thousands of animated shows, subbed anime and dubbed anime. All for free. I've never gotten a pop-up ad. Think of any animated show you want to watch and it'll probably be one there.
For example I watched .hack//sign over a decade ago and I want to rewatch it soon. They have the dub for every .hack// anime on there!

Damn, y'all. This is very, very bad news:
I have an unshakable belief that "democracy" is a joke in any place where a free media cannot exist. As I've eluded to many times, I'm a big believer in more progressive leaning sources like NPR, the Texas Tribune (the source link in that^ story), and formerly, the Texas Observer. Things are NOT in a good place right now, financially, for any of those entities.
This trend is something that anyone who cares about the threat of the rising Christofascist right wing extremists should be paying a LOT OF FUCKING ATTENTION TO. If you can, you should be donating to any entity you depend on, like this. It's why I'm a member of my local NPR station. I mean, I can't help but feel like we are about 2 seconds away from just accepting that algorithms like TikTok are going to drive all of the "information" we have, and I hopefully don't need to explain why we'll all be thoroughly fucked if that happens. Here's an Austin local writer/journalist I trust, with more behind-the-scenes input about what happened w/ the Texas Observer.

Ewan and Clara's movie "Bleeding Love" release date is today!!! But sike- that didn't mean streaming🫠
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Bleeding Love” via my cloud link
“Bleeding Love” via torrent
I was literally so fucking devastated and also couldn't find it on the free streaming sites, but actually found someone uploaded a torrent for it!! Bc I know some of you might not be into torrenting or might not have a computer, I made a cloud link via Mega for the actual movie file.
✨If your on mobile, it requires you download the Mega App which is a trusted service for us data-lovers & based in New Zealand. You can find info about the app/service here if you’re new to it.

Getting into the original Sherlock Holmes through the librivox podcast on Spotify.
Love that Sherlock introduced his brother with the phrase: “The Diogenes club is the queerest club in London, and Mycroft one of the queerest men.”

The news were loud about a car accident.
They were speaking about it for minutes.
A young man became dead.
That one life was realy that important?
There is a crash in every week.
That's not a surprising thing.
It was one death only.
There is a place where hundreds dieing daily.
Why don't you speak about them more?
Why isn't it the most important news?
If one life deserve minutes,
Then what you do with thousands?
You don't speak about them loudly.
The soldiers who are dictating.
Men, women, children.
They weren't puppets.
They tried to live.
They tried to be happy.
They wanted to achive their dreams.
Which is faded away slowly.
The one car accident.
And one more, and again.
People driving cars careless.
It happens countless.
A genocide must not be swept under the rug.
They deserve more!!!
People are dieing no matter how careful they are.
No matter that they have rights.
Whoever has the money,
Whoever controls them all.
Will decide which life is more important.
And who can die without a case

20 grudnia 2023 roku doszło do siłowego wejścia do budynku Telewizji Polskiej (TVP) przez agentów nowego neokomunistycznego rządu.
Doszło do zdjęcia z anteny kluczowych programów informacyjnych.
On December 20, 2023, there was a forcible entry into the Polish Television (TVP) building by agents of the new neo-communist government.
Key news programs were taken off the air.
One person was injured during the forceful occupation of the building.
This seems to have all the hallmarks of an attack by the oppressive totalitarian government established in December 2023, whose Prime Minister is Donald Tusk, on the freedom of speech and media freedom guaranteed by the law of Poland, the European Union and the UN Charter of Rights

The team wrote the musical during the 2007–2008 Writers Guild of America strike. The idea was to create something small and inexpensive, yet professionally done, in a way that would circumvent the issues that were being protested during the strike. Reception has been overwhelmingly positive.
"It was because of the writers’ strike that Whedon had a number of his closest friends — who just so happen to be some of the most esteemed actors — at his disposal for his weird idea, but that wasn’t the only factor working in his favor. Between the period of 2007 and 2008, Whedon also decided he wanted to toy with the idea of using the internet as a way to distribute a film. This way he could bypass having to go through a studio for money and connect directly with those who wanted to support his vision, particularly during a time of need.
The only thing stopping him from doing that at the time was that fact that he didn’t know how do go about doing it. In an interview with Dave Itzkoff last year, Whedon told the New York Times critic that it noted Felicia Day’s work on The Guild, a webseries that premiered on YouTube in July 2007, as a reason for looking to the internet as a realm of possibility in the first place."
-Polygon Article from 2017
Funnily, they mention the show Heroes in this article, and it was a massive favorite of mine that was utterly ruined because the studio behind it kept pushing for it to be made, in spite of the writer's strike at the time... and the show was terrible after that. The lack of talent was obvious, even to a rather young me! And once I understood what the writers were striking for, I was 100% behind it. Sure, it sucks that I'll never have the version of Heroes that I could have... but that's not the writers' fault. I don't blame them a bit! Human rights are more important than knowing what might have been in a fictional world.
Anyways, here's a 45 minute movie Whedon made during a writer's strike - free from the corporate leash! Back before the Whedons just cranked out the same script over and over for Marvel.

Practice making fanzines
Not just because of the extreme rise in all forms of censorship, but also because it can be a very anti-capitalist way to communicate with those in your community! It was one of the original vessels of fanfiction! Kirk and Spock got down on zine pages in the 60s!
I’m planning a queer zine for my fanfic, maybe you could try making a minizine too!

Brattyxbre on instagram and tiktok is awesome at making zines and has some resources to help you!

Hello, Sherlock Holmes adaptation writer. I have trapped you in this room. It is fully furnished and comfortable. On the table, you will notice a copy of A Scandal in Bohemia by Arthur Conan Doyle, of which redistribution is perfectly legal, as the work is in the public domain. You will notice it is rather thin. You have 24 hours to read the approximately 8,550 words in this story. To exit this room, all you must do is summarize the plot of the story without referring to Irene Adler as a seductress or implying she is attracted to Sherlock Holmes. Good luck.
