What is a simblr?

A Sims Tumblr. We blog about sims. You don't need to have a blog dedicated to sims in order to enter or participate. If you just like voting on things, you don't even need to know what a sim is! All are welcome to vote as they please.

What is a 'Meow Meow'?

(taken from tumblr user @/torturelabyrinth) "The thing about a true poor little meow meow is they have to be 1) downtrodden 2) morally questionable at best 3) deeply and pathetically miserable"

A Meow Meow is a character who you can't quite help but feel sorry for, despite all of the atrocities they have committed. For the purposes of our bracket, these 'atrocities' could range from being a bit of a nuisance, all the way up to murder and beyond. Whatever it is your Meow Meow has done that you believe makes them qualified for the title.

This is a tournament-style competition (for fun!)

There will be multiple rounds, in each round two competitors will fight for votes in a tumblr poll lasting 1 week. The winners of each poll will move on to the next round, fighting another foe in the same sort of battle.

Depending on the number of entries the tourney may be short or quite long. If the number is on the lower side, there may be a loser's bracket, wherein the losers of each poll will have a chance to redeem themselves, and fight their way back to a chance at the crown.

This is NOT a popularity contest.

While no one can control how you vote except you, you are encouraged not to just vote for the simmer you like more or to only vote for your friends. Instead, try to vote with your heart. Maybe you'll discover a new favorite?

We are here to celebrate everyone's meow meows, not to put anyone down for any reason. This includes yourself. It will not be tolerated. No guilt trips, self-deprecation, or negative propaganda. Let's all be chill and be friends, okay?

To qualify for this poll, your character must canonically fight with a sword or sword-adjacent weapon (sabers, long daggers, rapiers/epees and all that).

"Sword gays showdown" is just a name, please do submit characters who are bi/pan, ace, trans and other LGBT+ identities. This tournament is all about vibes so characters you headcanon as LGBT+ are fine too!

Unstoppable (Leah Williamson x reader)

Based off this request. 

A/N: I really wasn’t in the writing mood but then i got this request and I wanted to celebrate today’s win. I hope you guys like it.

You had never doubted yourself more than you had in the past few weeks. You came back from an serious ankle injury the same game Beth tore her ACL and then Viv injured hers too. It lead to you been put back into the starting 11 ahead of plan and the pressure that the both you and the fans put on you was incredibly high. 

The international break was when things changed. The Arnold cup was a place to have fun and try new things. Sarina gave you the freedom to play how you liked and it payed off. You won top goal scorer and player of the tournament. You were proud of your performances and awards but it failed in comparison to the proudness your girlfriend felt. 

When Arsenal played Chelsea in the FA cup you felt like you were the only attacker that showed up, still you tried everything but AKB managed to save every single one of your shots. You left that game back to your old self doubting ways and it left only one option, brutal honesty. The next day you spent hours reviewing game tape and ignoring your girlfriend so when you arrived at Coloney the following morning Leah was not only in a mood with you but the rest of the forwards too because you gave them all your attention instead of her. After you explained what you’d learned from the tapes you worked with Stina, Caitlyn and a few of the coaching staff on ways you need to improve if you stand a chance against Chelsea in the Conti cup final. 

“You ready baby” Leah stood in between your legs after the team had emptied the locker room. 

“What if I can’t do it? You’ve seen the way I’ve been playing. What if I’ll never be the same as I was before the injury” 

The lack in confidence wasn’t something Leah could prepare herself for. You oozed the stuff when you played and it why you were the WSL’s top goal scorer. Lately she had seen the way you let people’s opinions get in your head whether it was from the media or reading fan comments on social media. Your head, which was once like Fort Knox, had become free entry for anyone who pleased. 

“Look at me” Leah uses her index finger to tilt your chin upwards. The forced movement meaning that you were now looking directly into the blue eyes you loved so much “I need you to go out there and have the same amount of faith in you as I do. We know how to beat Chelsea, you obsessed over the footage for hours, nobody knows more about this team than you. You are going to go out there and be unstoppable” 

Leah bends down slightly and placed a gentle kiss on your lips. An act which until this point never happen on game day but Leah knew you needed the reassurance which comes with the act of affection.

“Unstoppable” you mumble to yourself.

“That’s right baby and whilst you’re at it try to score a goal for me” She pulls you to your feet and together you enter the tunnel. As you walk out onto the pitch you have extra motivation to perform. Besides when your girlfriend asks for a goal you never disappoint and you wasn’t go to start today.

When Chelsea score within the first two minutes you feel the doubt and insecurities begin to rise but you ignore them and move on. It works because within ten minutes the ball finds its way into the back of the Chelsea net after you sent a rocket from outside the box. The goal itself was beautiful and your confident side is on full display. Leah is somehow the first one to you, whether that is because she was the closest or because your team mates knew how much this moment meant to you and Leah would be the person you wanted to celebrate with most.

The final whistle blows and you cannot believe you did it. Most of the world had written you and your team off for this game but you all proved them wrong and the look of the Chelsea player’s faces was the icing on the cake. You had a brief moment with Leah on the pitch but you knew better than to get to handsy with this many eyes watching. Jen passes you and Katie a small bottle of champagne, you being the responsible adult you are refused the drink but the Scottish defender tells you it was alcohol free. It passes the smell test so the three of the of you down most of the bottle then you read the label, you should have known better.

“We’re champions” Leah jumps on your back causes you to stumble a little “Are you drunk?” 

You never stumbled, not this much, so it was a giveaway that you had started the celebrations without her.

“I thought it was alcohol free” you reminded her of an innocent child and it was adorable. 

“Come on, we’ve got media to do with Alex” Leah grabbed your hand and together you walked towards the BBC stand.

The spotlight never came easy to you and once the final whistle was blown it didn’t take long for you to go back to your shy self. It was naive of you to think Alex and Farrah would only ask Leah questions seen as through you scored and won player of the match. After the first question, Katie comes out of nowhere and hands you another bottle of champagne, the two of your cheers and you drink more of it. The buzz you felt led to your first stage of intoxication, touchy. Leah answers her set of questions the best she could but you were out to make things more difficult. Your hand, which started by your side, found its way to the small of her back then ventured lower and lower until it rested comfortably on her bum. Alex chuckles when she catches you but you only raise your eyebrows in response, she had seen this side of you before and knew there was no stopping you.

You prove this point by pulling Leah to the locker room as soon as the interview is finished. 

“Whoah, what’s the rush?” Leah giggles as you quickly shut the locker room door.

“I don’t know how long i’ll have” you grab her hips her pull her close to you.

“For what?” 

“This” you crash your lips in Leah’s with passion. The way your body reacted when her lips were on yours amazed you. She had so much power over you and she didn’t even realise it. Your lips move in sync and with every kiss Leah take one step forward towards your locker. The back of you knees hit the seat making you sit down and Leah wastes no time in sitting on your lap with her legs either side of you. You hadn’t kissed her like this in weeks and your girlfriend was savouring every second. For a brief moment you forget about where you are. You let your hands roam her body before pulling her shirt over her head, she in suit does the same thing. She moves her attention to your neck, more specifically the spot she knows drives you wild.

“Eww” Beth says as she enters the locker room.

“This is a family event girls, we have kids present” Jen jokingly covers Gio’s eyes.

Leah, who is clearly more embarrassed than you, quickly gets up off your lap and makes herself presentable. You meanwhile sit back in frustration, only getting dressed when Leah throws a shirt at you.

With the two of you dressed the celebrations begin in the locker room. Jen passes you another bottle of champagne honestly stating that this one has alcohol in but given your new found frustrations down a few mouthfuls. 

Even though you won you still have notes on your performance and how you could have been better so you begin talking with a member of the coaching staff, diagrams are drawn on the board and the conversation gains the attention of Jonas who is intrigued by your strategies. He agrees to work on them when the team returns to training in two days time.

“This is great Y/N and today you proved everybody wrong” he hugged you and the praise was like music to your ears.

“Thanks gaffa” 

“Nice touch. Let me guess, it was Leah’s idea? she wanted the player of the matches shirt”

In a rush it seems Leah put your shirt on, leaving you to wear hers.

“Oh this” you pull at the shirt “Yes, you know how big of a fan she is” 

“Sure” It was clear he didn’t believe you but you didn’t care. 

You had waited 4 years for this moment. It had been a long silverware drought for Arsenal and you hoped that this win gave the team the confidence it needs to return to league football and challenge for the top spot. You were certainly ready for it and even though you were missing your injured team mates you know the team has what it takes to win.

“You two look good together”

Leah takes a quick photo of you with the trophy before taking a photo with both of you. She sends it to her mum followed by a message saying you’ll meet up with them soon.

The closeness in which Leah is sitting gives you the perfect opportunity to continue your mission from earlier. You pepper kisses on the back and side of her neck, smiling smugly when her head dips back in pleasure.

“I can’t wait till we are back in at the hotel” Leah turns and kiss you quickly.

“I don’t plan of waiting that long. You better tell your mum we will be late”

Hello competitors, participants, and spectators!

Now that the first round of the tournament is well underway, we'd like to clearly state some of our rules and expectations for "fair play" conduct.

Please be positive and respectful to other contestants in public spaces. This includes the discord server, public posts on tumblr blogs associated with your tournament entry, and all tagged posts- your own or otherwise.

The Kirby OC Tournament is a community event born of our shared love of original characters and the creativity and excitement they foster. As such it welcomes a wide range of participants, regardless of seniority, popularity, or skill. Negativity about other OCs or creators contradicts our goal of a supportive, low-stakes contest for everyone.

We kindly ask everyone involved in the tournament, as a competitor or a spectator, to please adopt a positive mindset of good sportsmanship, and follow some general community rules:

• Don’t belittle the designs or character lore of others. Even light-hearted roasts don't always land well-- if someone asks you not to joke about their OC, please be kind. This includes your own OCs too, and we strongly discourage competitors from putting themselves down in match-ups. Public polls of this nature are near impossible to truly predict, and the results may surprise you! • Don’t post ship discourse. This applies to fankids and OCs that are shipped with canon characters. • Don’t vent about other creators or characters in the tourney. We understand that competing can be nerve-wracking, and the downside of random pairing is that not everyone will be pleased with their matchup. Nonetheless, namedropping contestants or accusing others of having an unfair advantage leads to guilt-tripping and resentment. If you have a serious complaint about another contestant, please bring it to the @kirbyoctournament blog (tumblr) or the co-hosts (discord) in private.

• Please understand that this is a competition for fun. Popularity contests by their nature can be a bit rough, and losing is always a bummer. But we urge people not to take this personally; losses are not a reflection of your character or of your skill as a creator, nor an indication that your character is unpopular! 50% of contestants will be out in the first round, and only 2 out of 143 will make it to the final brackets. The point of this tourney was never "to find a winner", but to build a platform for the sharing and appreciation of Kirby OCs. If you are a competitor second guessing your ability to handle this pressure in a light-hearted and enjoyable way, or think you can't help but take losses personally, please reach out to us before the announcement of second brackets and let us know if you'd like to leave the tournament. • Lastly, we have a zero tolerance policy for bigoted and hateful speech. Any contestant found to be in violation of this will be kicked from the event and all related channels.

Breach of any of these rules may result in a formal warning regarding your position in the tournament, regardless of where the behaviour takes place. On the discord server in particular, posts that break these rules will result in any offending posts being deleted and users receiving a temporary mute.

Estelle Glynnan

for @adelarsims Ember's Academy Spellcasting Tournament!

Being a member of the Glynnan family and the daughter to the Wives of the Willow heir, Estelle should have had it all but unfortunately for her this was not the case. Her father, Daolong, already had enough children from enough of his conquests that he vehemently denied Estelle could possibly be his and due to her half Vampire heritage her grandmother, Mildred, refused her place in line for succession, refused her a place in the Coven, and so she was denied entry to any sorcery schools. Estelle never truly grasped the ability to use her magic until she became an adult unlike her peers in the Coven who started once they hit puberty but her mother taught her what she could in secret until she died of Magic Overload after defeating another member of the Coven in a duel who was trying to usurp Mildred's control. Now with her mother gone and the Coven without an heir, Estelle is hoping that this tournament, win or lose, will earn her a spot in the Coven and prove to her Grandmother that she is a worthy successor.

More seriously: it feels like it's been a hectic few months, and this poor account got neglected. I'm so sorry to have missed out on all the neat things y'all have been doing recently! But I'm definitely excited to take a look now, and thank you so much to everyone who left kind comments, likes, and reblogs on my videos and essays while I was away.

A lot of my free time these last few weeks has been spent participating in Project Org Editor (POE), an AMV-editing tournament where participants have one week to make a video to a specific theme. There were six weeks of preliminary rounds, and I participated in all six with a new Detective Conan AMV!

Sadly, I wasn't able to finish any video to my satisfaction by each week's deadline, but I learned a lot from the contest and plan to properly revise 5/6 of my entries. Here are previews of those videos (and I hope posting WIPs will also help motivate me to get these done)!

You can read more about POE here, and you can also find every video submitted to the contest there as well, plus all the comments left by a panel of dedicated judges! There is a lot of amazing work and creativity on display in POE, and challenging as the tournament was for me, I'm glad I participated and got to be a part of it.

"That Really Happened?!" DC Comics Tournament Entry #37

Schrödinger's Pregnancy

What Happened?

Okay so first a little context. Carol Ferris is Star Sapphire, villain to the Green Lanterns and mass murderer. She is also the Predator: the masculine side of her broken off by her subconscious mind so that she could be the perfect girlfriend she felt like she should be. Anyway that's the not purpose of this submission the og predator arc was actually good. Okay so in the 90s, it's revealed that the predator is back, and then its revealed that Star Sapphire was impregnanted by him. (Yes Carol did get herself pregnant don't worry about it). And then, then, its revealed you know who is not pregnant? Carol. Despite her and Star Sapphire being the same person mind some mind control somehow carol got carol pregnant but not carol. Oh and the pregnancy just never gets brought up because three issues later (after a crossover event) Coast City is destroyed so who has time for Carol's pregnancy problems. I feel like I'm downplaying how crazy this was but let me tell you I've never read a comic while going wtf wtf wtf so often before or since.

New Negaishipping AU

A new account means a new au with some new headcanons, as well as some old ones, along with some impressive twists and turns in it.

Like my last au, we're starting at the end of Pokémon Journeys. At age 11, Ash and Pikachu take the road, going wherever the wind takes them. When stopping at a Pokémon Center, Ash sees a notice for an entry battle between Iris and Trip. Seeing Iris in an entry battle scared Ash, knowing that losing to Cynthia dropped Iris down to 8th place in the Masters 8 after he took 1st from Leon. He decided to go to Unova to watch the match, and cheer for his close friend. When he got there, it was already the finale, with the matchup being Trip's Serperior vs Iris's Haxorus. Serperior was starting to squeeze the life out of Haaxorus with Wrap, and Iris began to have an anxiety attack. However, she started to hear the cheering voice of Ash Ketchum from the crowd. She turned, saw him there, and began to calm down, and shared that same energy with Haxorus, who eventually broke free using Poison Jab and later beating Serperior to give Iris the win. After the battle, Iris ran up to Ash and pounced him with a hug. As soon as Ash blushed, he, as well as his Lucario, knew that he had a crush on Iris.

After that, Ash and Iris call each other often while they're traveling in different directions. It gets a little annoying for their Pokémon to listen to them sound awkward towards each other.

Iris's 12th birthday unfortunately happened to be on the busiest day in Unova, so none of her friends or rivals could make it to her birthday party. Well, not ALL of them, as Ash traveled to Opelucid City just for that purpose, and even though he was the only one to come, Ash's appearance made Iris smile. As presents, he gave her a Dragon Amulet that he had Olivia make him back on Akala Island in the Alola Region, he showed off his own Snivy, now a fully evolved and powerful Serperior, and he challenged Iris to a double battle, which ends in a tie, making Ash the first Monarch in the history of the Pokémon World Coronation Series to ever tie in a battle. After this battle was when Iris realizes she has a real crush on Ash.

Not long after, a new Masters 8 Tournament is announced, with the bracket changing slightly. Alain was now the Kalos Champion, with Diantha retiring after that. Marnie was in as well, now as the new Spikemuth Gym Leader, as well Flint (Sinnoh Elite Four Member) and Raihan returning to the ranks. The final results of this tournament were the finals being between Ash and Iris, with Lucario vs Haxorus in the final clash, and Mega Lucario emerging victorious, allowing Ash to keep his title of Monarch.

After the Tournament, Ash and Iris begin to travel together once again, as their journey were far from over. From ages 13 to 14, they have all sorts of adventures, and training Ash's older Pokemon to get stronger and possibly evolve, with Ash's Gible evolving to a Garchomp being their biggest success. Along the way, they stop in Hoenn, where they meet Serena and May, and these three girls that they all became friends when meeting in Hoenn after their starting travels with Ash. This surprises him, and he asks Serena and May to join him and Iris on their Journeys. May sadly declines, as she became the Hoenn Princess and Top Idol, and had duties that kept her in Lilicove City, but Serena agrees to join him. Later, Cilan reunites with Ash and Iris and gets introduced to Serena, who was thrilled at first, but later gets annoyed at Cilan's evaluations. Sure reminds Serena of a certain nerd she traveled with in the past...

From ages 14 to 16 (For Ash, Iris, and Serena. For Cilan, he was just now entering his 20s), Ash, Iris, Serena, and Cilan all travel together and have many adventures together. At one point, Ash decides to go home to Pallet Town and relax. There, Ash introduces his friends to his mom. And all his friends find the peaceful to be more relaxing than city life, which was what they had to live in for a while. During that time, Ash confesses to Iris that he likes her, and they agree to start their dating life together. Little did they know that Serena like Ash as well, and saw their confession, and began to feel jealous and upset. Eventually, Serena decided to confess to Ash, and surprisingly, she didn't get the response she was expecting, as Ash accepted it too. So now, he has two girlfriends. And here comes another twist. After getting her life saved by Iris from a final, ultimate catastrophe cause by Team Rocket, Serena started to have feelings for Iris!!! Eventually, without Ash or Cilan knowing, Serena confesses to Iris, Iris accepts, and the two of them are now dating. Little did they know that Lucario was watching the confession, and through Aura, Ash saw it too, but he wasn't angry, but actually happy, as he saw Serena actually happy, and Iris said she would always be loyal to Ash first. Later, the two girls admit their new relationship to Ash and Cilan, and while Cilan is shocked and a little angry at Iris, Ash isn't, as he admits he saw the confession through Lucario's Aura-infused eyes, which shocks them. Now, we have a three-way tie between Negaishipping, Amourshipping, and Fairdragonshipping. (I know the original word for this, but I'm not using it, because I don't care for it.)

After all three confessions, they all tell their friends and family, with May being the most shocked, as she was friends with Ash, Iris, and Serena equally! from ages 16 to 18 They all have a very interesting dating life ahead of them.

Sometime during their dating life, the three travel with Goh, Chloe, Cilan, and Clemont and Bonnie altogether, and they all have a lot of fun. At one point, Ash gets challenged by Hop, who is now the new Galar Champion. After a fierce clash, the battle ends with Ash and Pikachu using their specialty Z-Move, 10,000,000 Volt Thunderbolt, with Ash emerges victorious. This impresses mostly Iris, but everyone agrees to go visit the Alola region for a while.

For a whole year, when they were both 18, Ash and Iris stay and enjoy the Alola. I say only Ash and Iris, because everyone had to leave to do their own personal things back in their respective homes, even Serena. During her first full year in Alola, Iris meets Ash's Alola friends, becomes rivals with Kiawe and Gladion, becomes an Ultra Guardian member, and receives her own Z-Ring with various Z-Crystals, and catches some Alolan Pokémon of her own.

After their time in Alola, Ash and Iris reunite with Serena. From ages 18 to 19, and this time accompanied by Goh, who is now a professor's assistant in Project Mew, they all travel together again. During this time frame, they are all in Kalos, where with the help of Korrina, Iris and Serena receive Mega Stones for their respective Pokémon. And then, at age 20, instead of Ash being the one to propose, Iris is the one to propose to Ash. And after they recently turn 21, Ash marries Iris. The both of them offered Serena to marry them too, but Serena politely declined, as she was too pleased to see Iris happy with Ash as newlyweds. She promised that she would always love them both, but she ends up marrying Shauna 6 months after Ash and Iris got married. In exchange, Ash and Iris promised that if they have children, Serena would be their godmother, which made Serena cry tears of joy.

I did include some lesbian Serena bits into you. And yes, even though I said she was dating both Ash and Iris, she started to get more interested into Iris after she got saved from Team Rocket.

Welcome to Danganronpafriendpolls!

Previously “Danganronpabestgirls” and then “Danganronpabestboys,” since the end of both of these tournaments (congratulations to Chihiro Fujisaki and Hajime Hinata, respectively!) voters have decided to do a platonic or friend-shipping poll next! Here’s how it’ll work— please take a moment to read before submitting anything:

Entries will be submissions-based. Submissions will be limited to three friendships per person, and up to three people in each submission. I’m turning off anonymous asks to ensure that submissions aren’t all being flooded by one person but asks will not be posted, so your submission will still remain private. Fee free to add any propaganda you’d like to your submission as well!

This entire tournament hinges on submissions, which means some of you guys will have to participate a little more than last time! Don’t be afraid to send an ask or submission— we kind of need those here. I’ll open submissions officially with this post, and they’ll stay open for a week unless I decide otherwise after today.

Unlike the previous two polls, the characters can be from any official Danganronpa media— meaning novels and the like are fair game here! No fangans, however— keep it to official Danganronpa characters only, please.

I’ll review each submission before adding it to the bracket. I can’t exactly think of anything that would be deemed “inappropriate” for a friendship bracket but just be aware that I will look over each and every submission.

Now that submission guidelines are out of the way, here’s some of the same general stuff:

The polls will last for one week before I reblog with the results. You can submit propaganda via an ask and I’ll tag it with the #propaganda tag. I will no longer be tagging reblog propaganda as it simply takes too much time for me.

My stance on “bribery” is the same as last time— I truly can’t stop you from doing that on your own blog but please don’t be taking art requests and the like in the notes of my polls. If you really want to, take it somewhere else. It’s discouraging to other voters to see that kind of thing.

I’m currently on vacation while writing this and start school again in January— meaning I’m often busy and things may be posted late! Please be patient.
