HELLO i did not expect the minecraft cross stitch post to do as well thank u very much for ur support😭 here are some sample pages from the work in progress zine. it needs some adjustments absolutely, like the symbols need some fixings but i am very excited to work on this project and to share it :)
#it is going to be a free zine booklet btw and i am the only person working on it idk how long itll take to complete but i am cross#stitching these patterns as i go in a genuine love for the medium and this does not have to be cross stitch like if u want to use these for#whatever then please absolutely do it is not married to cross stitch u can do anything u want in ur lifetime#also i will absolutely include instruction on how to make these bc they are rly very easy and fun to make i encourage ppl to make their own#and experiment w ideas :) ok bye im just rambling bye ily#u have to crop a photo into a 1:1 perfect square and then put it into [most] pixel art programs as a 32x32 resolution and then manually#paint over it to refine it and that is how u make them#in brief#OK BYE😭 <3#DANG IT also to make the symbol patterns i opened an excel sheet g00gle sheets and i made all the columns/rows to be like square sized and#and then i filled it in w symbols for each color these were all manually put into place bc i could not find a ‘cross stitch pattern#generator’ that was decent it was all nonsense but that is how i made the charts if u would like to also make them#just get some symbols and copy/paste them into the squares#WILL ELABORATE on it more in the zine but in case any1 wants to make their own that is how i did it#OK BYE NOW FOR REAL

Important hot tip for literally anyone purchasing art
If an artist you rly like doesn’t have a public commission sheet or perhaps you have an odd but reasonable request your best friend will be “I will gladly compensate you for your time.” Literally the moment an artist sees that you’re actually going to pay them for whatever weird request you’ve got, they’re like a million percent more likely to respond positively to whatever your weird request is. For example: I love birds, and I was seeking out a nice state bird cross stitch pattern that wasn’t too complicated. I found one I liked on Etsy, but it was actually selling the finished product (a gorgeous quilt for about $2000) and not the charts, which was what I wanted. No problem! I messaged the seller and said “hi! I love your beautiful quilt, but I am actually interested in the cross stitch charts. Do you still have them? I would be more than happy to compensate you for the trouble.” I have no doubt that this lovely woman has been demanded for free labor countless times. It has happened to every quilter on planet earth. She told me that she would mail me HER ORIGINAL HANDWRITTEN CHARTS for about $30, since she drafted them herself and wasn’t planning on making another quilt. I gladly sent $50 her way and told her she could just scan them for me if that was easier for her. Artists are, by and large, lovely people who want to help you. Please, just promise them that you will fucking compensate them for their time and labor.

Cookies | Wanda Maximoff
A Stripper MILF Wanda Cinematic Universe Story
Summary: Wanda’s in her happy place: the kitchen
Pairing: Wanda Maximoff x Male Reader
Warnings: Sexual innuendo
Word Count: 1.3K
Masterlist
Wanda’s happy place was the kitchen. Either that or the garden. Domesticity brought a grounded sense of normalcy to her otherwise chaotic life: stripping wasn’t normal, pruning shrubs and breaking down a whole chicken were. At her most stressed, you’d come downstairs in the morning to the kitchen counters overflowing with a variety of muffins, cookies, and other pastries as she poured her stress into sugar.
Most days you left her alone when she got into one of her cooking moods. You learned the hard way when you were on the receiving end of a thrown wooden spoon. That was when you decided it would be best to hide out literally anywhere else in the house, but today you couldn’t help yourself. Maybe it was the sweet smell of her famous double chocolate chunk cookies, or perhaps it was the oldies hits playlist echoing throughout the downstairs. Either way, all you wanted to do was stand and watch.
Wanda was in her own world. She didn’t notice as you slunk your way to the kitchen, crossing your arms as you leaned on the wall, lovingly gazing at her all the while. The sweet smell of her famous double chocolate chunk wafted through the air as the latest batch baked to perfection in the oven. The others sat atop cooling racks, their tantalizing aroma infiltrating your brain. Dressed in her half apron, the strings tied in a neat bow and accentuating her still heavenly figure, Wanda danced around the kitchen. Her baking playlist was filled with an eclectic mixture of artists and genres spanning from the golden oldies to traditional Sokovian folk music. She was on a 70s kick today and Al Green’s voice echoed off the walls of Wanda’s safe haven.
She was ridiculously adorable. Wanda bopped to the beat, swinging her hips as she took one tray out of her oven and replaced it with another. She twirled, singing slightly-off key as she eyed the mixing bowl on the counter. Leave it to Wanda to lick the remaining batter off the spoon even after yelling at the boys to not do so. It was only the sound of your poorly stifled giggle that snapped her back into reality: she froze like a deer in the headlights, eyes wide as the spoon remained firmly in her mouth.
“What?” she mumbled innocently, swirling her tongue around the last morsels of chocolatey deliciousness.
“Nothing,” you shrugged. “Just thought licking the batter from the bowl wasn’t allowed in your good Jewish household.”
“This is a spoon, darling, not a bowl.” Wanda rolled her eyes, her lips curving upward in a subtle grin as she turned away from you. Your eyes were glued to the way her jeans fit her perfectly. The looseness of the vintage bell bottoms had no impact on the tight hug the rinsed denim had over her hips. The cookies were definitely not the only snack in the kitchen. “What are you staring at?”
“Huh?” Her voice snapped you out of your hypnotized state.
“Penny for your thoughts?”
“Umm…the stitching on your pockets matches the strings on your apron?” She glanced behind her shoulder, spinning awkwardly to try and look at her back pockets.
“I don’t know whether to be flattered or weirded out.”
“Well I’m checking you out so…” you smirked.
“How about you check these out instead?” You opened your mouth to speak right as Wanda shoved a warm cookie right inside.
Like always, Wanda’s culinary skills were off the charts. It was warm, gooey, and ever so chocolatey the way you liked. A sinful groan escaped your lips as the morsel literally melted in your mouth.
“Well-?” She cocked her head, hand on her hip as she twirled the spoon around her free hand.
“Perfection. Like usual. But I don’t think these cookies are the best snack in the kitchen right now.” Wanda’s face blushed as red as her shirt at your insinuation. Not one who took praise easily, she kicked one foot in front of the other as she stared at the ground, completely embarrassed. It was her most endearing quality.
“So I’m a snack then?” she asked quietly.
“I don’t know if I’d really consider you a snack though, Wanda.”
“Oh-?” Her eyes widened in confusion as you slunk towards her.
“I think that you’re definitely more of a dessert. The end of the meal, the best part of the night. A succulent, luscious, tantalizing dessert.” There wasn’t a second for Wanda to respond to your seductive insinuations. As she opened her mouth, you grabbed her face, pulling her as close as you could and pressing your lips firmly against hers. She tasted of cherry (her choice of chapstick) and chocolate, the intoxicating combination dizzying the both of you. Soft arms wrapped around your neck. The wooden spoon rubbed up against the back of your head and sprinkled your hair with chocolate. You didn’t care. As you deepened the kiss, Wanda carefully walked the two of you back into the island counter. She giggled as a soft bump stopped the two of you and you couldn’t help but smile into her soft lips. Her hands trailed down your neck, the wooden dowel drawing a line down your spine while her hands eventually gripped your waist.
“I smell cookies!”
“I’ll beat you to-EWW!”
Nothing broke the two of you apart faster than Billy and Tommy stopping dead in their tracks in front of you. Wanda pushed you off of her so hard you nearly toppled over while the spoon fell forgotten to the ground.
“Gross!” Billy mumbled as he grabbed two cookies off the cooling rack, not bothering to make eye contact with either you or his mother.
“Yeah, get a room, mom,” Tommy chided as he shoveled a stack of cookies into his hands.
“Excuse me, young man, but that’s way too many cookies,” Wanda scolded as she readjusted her rumpled shirt.
“If I eat enough cookies I’ll forget what I saw. Do you want me to be scarred for life?” Somehow you managed to cover your laugh with a cough as you knelt down to pick up the spoon. Wanda was speechless at Tommy’s remark. Her face, once red with desire, was now red with embarrassment. Was it a little impetuous? Yes. Was it funny? Absolutely, but you couldn’t let Wanda know that.
“Just get out of here before I make you put those cookies back, mister!” she called as he raced down the hall.
The two of you stood in the uncomfortable awkwardness of just being caught by Wanda’s sons. While it wasn’t the most compromising position the two of you had been caught in, you wanted to curl up into a ball and disappear. It was only the dinging of the timer that brought you out of such an awkward pause.
“So…” you mumbled after clearing your throat.
“So…” Wanda answered as she flipped cookies off the hot pan and on to the cooling rack.
“That was-”
“Awkward.”
“Very.”
“It’s our fault. We both knew they’re home.”
“Still doesn’t change the fact I’m incredibly horny,” you shrugged, plopping another cookie into your mouth.
“Y/N!” Wanda snapped, the faintest hint of a smirk on her face.
“What? I haven’t seen you in a week, your ass looks fantastic in those jeans, and-goddamn, these cookies are incredible.”
“What do my cookies have to do with you being horny?”
“Nothing. They’re just really good.”
Wanda sighed, looking at the empty mixing bowl in front of her. “This is what I get for dating a twenty-five year old,” she mumbled as she shook her head.
“We don’t have to have sex if you don’t want to.” Wanda’s head snapped up suddenly, a devilish gleam in her eye.
“Who says I don’t want to?”

Pride Month Patch Tutorial: Pronoun Text
This year I’ve created five cross-stitch patterns designed for use with a variety of LGBTQIA+ pride flags, including the trans, genderqueer, non-binary, agender and demigender flags.
Each pronoun pattern is available in three scale variants: he/him, she/her, they/them, it/its and ze/hir. With the use of my cross-stitch alphabets, however, they can be adapted and modified for any pronoun set expressible in the Roman alphabet possessing a three, four, five, six, seven, ten or twelve-striped flag.
This tutorial includes sixteen cross-stitch text charts/patterns plus a guide to adapting said patterns for other pronoun sets.
I have more free queer cross-stitch tutorials and patterns available, including "pride" text patches, flag stripe hearts and "queer" text patches designed for a-spec pride flags. Other LGBTQIA+ text patterns are available at my pattern gallery, for folks who want to go all out in declaring our existence.

Doctor's Order
Pairing: Surgeon!Eren x Nurse!Reader
Synopsis: You could not make your crush on Dr. Eren Jaeger any more obvious. And even though you can tolerate his usual cold demeanor, you also know when to draw the line.
Warning: Unrequited love, cursing, angst, operation procedure, mentions of blood.
Word Count: 1792
1 of 3
The operating room department of Paradis Medical Centre is never boring with you around.
Your sweet wit and jolly personality just about brighten anyone's day, except for Dr. Eren Jaeger who seems to be eternally tortured by a cause unknown to you. He is immune to your charms, which makes you like him even more.
“I need the chart of patient Bozado.” A deep voice speaks behind the nurses’ station. Your back immediately straightens up and a blinding smile makes its way to your lips.
“Good morning, Doc!” You scan through the charts until you find the one that he needs, you hand the metallic clipboard to Eren with another one of your smiles.
Your coworkers no longer bat an eye when you skip around the counter to sit next to him on a table nearby. The man, still not acknowledging you as he scans through the patient’s chart. Ulou Bozado, this is his third time having his tongue stitched after a severe tongue laceration, they would need to find better interventions for that man.
“Are you busy this afternoon?” You ask sweetly, your face resting on your palms as you stare at him with your wide, expecting eyes.
“Yes.” He says without much hesitation.
“A new café just opened in the lobby. We should totally go.”
Eren’s tired eyes land on you and he sighs. “I have a conference.”
You giggle. “The one with Doctor Smith? It’s not until seven in the evening.”
His eyes narrowed at you, suspicious as to how you found out.
“So later then? After our shift?” You beam.
“What did I just tell you?” He asks while scanning the chart again.
“Oh, come on. Ren-”
He clicks his tongue. “That’s Doctor Jaeger to you.”
Some of the other nurses and doctors in the station glance at you, waiting and watching how you’ll react to this.
Your eyebrows raise in surprise at his tone but a sly smile makes its way to your lips. “As your possible wife in the near future, shouldn’t I have the right to call you by your name?”
He releases a long exasperated breath, he’s done dealing with your bullshit for today. Eren signs an order he just wrote in the chart and slams it close, he shoves it to you and gets up to leave without sparing you a reply.
The other staff in the room go about their previous tasks as if nothing happened. Well, this is an everyday occurrence, of course they got used to it.
“So, later then?” You laugh while watching him retreat to the Doctors’ lounge.
“Call me when the patient’s being rolled in. Until then, I’d like nothing but silence from you.” And he slams the door close, making you shake your head while laughing. He’s so fun to tease.
“You sure are playing with fire, Y/N.” Historia comments with a slight shiver.
You swat the air as if to dismiss her fear. “He’s just pretending to be an apathetic asshole but he’s actually really nice.” You put the chart back while Historia follows you around fiddling with her scrubs that are identical to yours. “Last week, he did an operation free of charge.”
Her eyes widened. “For that kid that was in a vehicular accident?”
Nodding, you grab your phone. “Was just avoiding an old man who crossed the road. Poor kid.” You sighed. “Anyway, what would you like me to get for you?”
She squealed. “I forgot! You’ll be leaving for your trip tomorrow.”
You press your fingers to her lips to silence her. “Historia!”
“Oh.” She stifled her giggles. “Sorry.”
“I don’t wanna jinx this into a toxic shift.”
She rolls her eyes playfully. “But how bad could it be? Two-week vacation? Are you kidding me?”
You laugh as you open your note app. “Now, tell me what you want.”
As it turns out, you did jinx yourself.
The operation with patient Bozado went swiftly but then ER made a call two hours before your shift ends. They’re bringing in a patient who was in a vehicular accident and her seatbelt just about crushed her spleen.
You almost bump into Eren on your way to the operating theater. And he sends a sharp glare at you.
You listen to the endorsement of the ER nurse as you scrub in and drop instruments into the sterile field. The circulating nurse is busy trying to make a call outside the theater. They’re trying to reach the on-call surgeons but nobody’s picking up.
They have Eren here. A highly qualified general surgeon. Why would they contact other people?
The anesthesiologist comes in to sedate the patient as you finish preparing the instruments in a manner that Eren preferred.
When he comes in, you notice a strained expression on his face.
“Where’s the assistant surgeon? The interns?” He asks.
“It’s just you today, Doc.” The anesthesiologist says.
You hand him a towel and he dries his hands thoroughly and flings the towel to the side with much force that makes you glance at him.
“The fuck are you staring around for?” He snaps loudly, gaining the room’s attention to you.
You serve him the gown, apologizing profusely. Your hands quiver when you open the gloves for him and in haste to serve it to him, your hands slip and the sterile glove drops to the floor.
“If you mess up in my theater one more time-”
“I won’t, I-I’m sorry.” You say with your eyes turning glassy.
The circulating nurse drops a new pair of gloves in the field and you carefully offer it to Eren. He adjusts it on his hands and he watches the patient carefully as they prep her abdomen.
“Begin initial count.” Eren tells you. The circulating nurse stands a few feet away from you with a clipboard and you start counting off the number of sponges, instruments, and needles.
“Excuse me, Doctor Jaeger, Doctor Pyxis, and the rest of the surgical team. The initial counting of sponges, instruments, and needles is complete.” You say.
“Vitals?” He asks the anesthesiologist, Dr. Dot Pyxis.
“Stable.” The anes responds while glancing at you and you give him a reassuring smile. “You can start now, Doctor Jaeger.”
You quickly pull the mayo table and you stand next to Eren.
“Scalpel.” He says without looking at you.
The blade holder clatters softly against the kidney basin and you hand it to him. You watch him crack his neck after taking a deep breath through the mask and he presses the tip of the blade against the patient’s skin. You quickly grab a surgical sponge.
“Sponge.”
You put it on Eren’s waiting hand and he wipes at the blood that seeps out.
“Cautery.”
You give it to him.
The operation continues and you watch Eren trying to locate the ruptured part of the spleen. You glance at him when he clicks his tongue, just as a small spray of blood stains your gown.
“Hemo-”
But you were already passing him the hemostat. Eren quickly clamps the vessel.
“Irrigation.” You push the plunger of the syringe to squirt out fluid in the abdominal cavity and you carefully refill the syringe with the same sterile solution.
“Am I supposed to work blindly here?” Eren’s voice booms as he glares at you.
You freeze and your wide eyes, now full of fear, stare back at him.
“Suction!” He says loudly and you immediately hand him the suction tip.
He yanks it from you and you bow your head in shame. You bite your lips hard enough that you taste tangy copper but you blink the tears away. You refuse to cry in front of him.
The operation ends after a few more outbursts from Eren.
After the patient is rolled to the post anesthesia care unit, you linger around in the theater to clean up, and so you’ll have an excuse not to come to the station where Eren is definitely writing the report in the patient’s chart.
“What an asshole, amiright?” the anesthesiologist drawls to you as he bounces a leg while sitting on a chair in the corner.
You only smile at him politely, refusing to confirm his words.
“He definitely shouldn’t have done that to you.” He says more seriously now. “Even if she was his friend.”
Your hands pause and you look at him.
“Patient Ackerman is his friend?”
He nods. “Back in med school, or even before that.” He stands to stretch. “Well, I’ll be off now. You better bring me souvenirs from that trip of yours.”
You stare off into the swinging doors, the silence of the empty theater rings on your ears.
That explains his behaviour.
The law says that he was not supposed to operate on immediate family and friends.
Or was it about something else.
You clean up the sterile instruments along with the orderly. He keeps glancing at you, but you deliberately chose not to meet his eyes as you know exactly what he wanted to ask, and you refuse to be the subject of their pity.
On your way back to the nurses’ station, you take a glance inside the post anesthesia care unit or PACU as you call it.
And a single glance inside has you ashamed of your actions.
It seems like Dr. Jaeger and apparently Dr. Ackerman, not just patient Ackerman, share something deeper than friendship.
You pursued a man who is in a relationship.
Eren was slumped on the chair next to her. His hair is disheveled and his face rests on his hands. He looks equally distraught as he is exhausted.
The cardiac monitor beeps and he stands abruptly to see what went wrong.
He lets out a breath of relief when she stabilizes once more.
Your eyes sting with tears. You do not understand why you are so upset with yourself. Was it for letting him lash out on you, or was it for pining for him when he is already head over heels for someone.
You choke back your tears and head to the station. Historia is already waiting for you. Her eyes looked angry but she was so gentle in handing you your stuff.
You thanked her when she gave you the procedure sheet which needed your signature.
You sniffled and quickly cleared your throat.
“I’ll see you in two weeks.” You smile at her.
“That’s it!” She says loudly just before grabbing hold of your hands over the counter. “You go enjoy that trip, you hear me? You have to enjoy it so hard that you’ll forget that he even existed!”
The other nurses cheer and some of the other surgeons nod at you.
You glance in the direction of the PACU.
Damn right you’re gonna enjoy this trip.

You have so many posts I couldnt hope to comment on them all, but your work is a-maz-ing. Words cannot express how much I adore your art, shown through your magnificent colors and skill <3
Do you have any tips for those starting this kind of stitchwork? I imagine the backs get quite messy XD
First, thank you so much - that's super kind of you!
I don't know how much stitching you've done before now, but the very basics of cross stitch and blackwork are here and here. If you already know the basics,
For the kind of blackwork I do most, using repeating motifs to fill in sections of a larger image, I find that the biggest problem is getting lost in the chart and forgetting which repetition of the fill motif I'm on. This is especially tricky when there are slight variations in the motif, as happens when I'm shading or making a colour gradient. Have some way to mark off each repetition of the motif as you complete it. I do this by annotating in my laptop's .pdf reader; some people print out the pattern and just use a highlighter. There is some software like Pattern Keeper or Cross Stitch Saga that some stitchers like, but the file formats they use aren't always available (I've also been told that Pattern Keeper isn't great with backstitch, which would make it kind of useless for blackwork, but I've never used either program, so someone else can weigh in there).
I work on black Aida a lot - some people hate working on black because it's harder to see the holes in the cloth, but I love the way it makes coloured blackwork pop. Your best friend here is lighting - good light on your work, and also a bit of backlighting. You don't want the backlight to be so strong that the holes turn into blinding little pinpricks, but you want to be able to see the light through them. Some people will put a phone or tablet behind their work with the screen on low; I find that having something white behind it is enough - a white pillow on my lap, or the white walls of my apartment.
My backs are a mess, yeah. For most of my patterns, it's geometrically impossible to do the reversible blackwork thing, and most of the time I'm making something whose back won't be visible, so it's a place to hide my stitchy sins. Gradients in particular have areas where stitches of one colour are relatively far apart, so there are big jumps on the back.
Samplers made up of small motifs in separate squares are a good way to get used to following blackwork charts without getting tangled up in repeating fill patterns.
If you're looking for a small project to give blackwork a try, I've got a couple of little free patterns here and here that are on the simpler side, and one here that's a good way to try a gradient.

(omg i cross stitch too)!!!!! i didn’t see the og crafting ask post with the prompts but saw u mention learning to cross stitch. Is that a craft you still do? what is your favorite thing you’ve stitched? whats a pattern/designer you enjoy?
feel free to answer any/none of these whatever you want :)
(and if you don’t cross stitch anymore feel free to sub knitting into the other questions)
Oh hey cross stitch buddies!!!! Love talking about crafts!!!
I do still cross stitch, just not as much right now, I did it obsessively for 2 years so I'm on a bit of a break haha. I think artecy has some of my favorite patterns, plus they have great freebies every month on their website and fb group!! I'm a huge full coverage stitcher, I just love how it looks and all the landscape patterns!
My favorite thing that I've finished is mini Athena by Howard David Johnson charted by heaven and earth designs!!! She took me almost 2 years of off and on stitching! I still need to frame her but it was a joy to stitch!

the crowns, cross stitched.
I arranged them around a back stitched pentagram for visual interest. Because I thought just putting them in a row would be boring, but now I'm realizing it would have made a good bookmark...
Cross Stitch charts available here, free of charge, no donation necessary, etc, etc.
