Over the past eighteen months, I've made enough green, white, grey and black clothing pieces to outfit ten Barbie dolls in aro colours. In addition, every doll has earrings, necklaces, belts or embroidery featuring pride stripes. Now I just have to figure out how to make a one-sixth-scale aro pride march display...

(I am joking, of course ... but I really do like our allo-aro pride colours.)

Fireside knitting vibes 🔥🧶 Picked up one of my old favorite patterns again—a ruffle scarf—and thought it’d be perfect in these pride-adjacent yarns I grabbed recently. Already dreaming up more projects: maybe a cat ear beanie, a matching impkin, and even some granny square cardigans using flag-inspired squares.

Just casually growing the idea list like a yarn stash…

For @aggressivelyarospec's Aggressively Arospectacular 2024, I thought I could combine my zigzag pride patch patterns and finishing techniques from my aro card tutorial to make a bookmark.

(Unfortunately, when I look at the finished bookmark, I can't not see a dollhouse-scale hall runner!)

I was very excited to discover miniature arrow charms in the scrapbooking section at my local craft store and a pair of pineapple-print underpants in my unworn spare-clothes stash*. With the addition of a colour-block T-shirt in allo-aro colours, my dolls are being extra aromantic this Pride Month.

(* Autism sensory stuff means the challenge of finding clothes with the right kind of not-hurting-me seams and fabrics, so when garments I tolerate go on clearance, I collect a few spares. I figure it's worth sacrificing one to make a pineapple doll top, though!)

Yarn haul time! 🧶 JoAnn’s clearance was a little underwhelming (30% off feels like a regular sale, not a closing-down blowout), but I knew I wouldn’t be back before they shut their doors—so I grabbed what I could while I could.

Picked up a bunch of Big Twist Living—those colors are perfect for some upcoming pride-themed items I’ve got in the works! 🌈 Can’t wait to get started.
