tiny frames are back baby! 😮

last year I found some tiny secondhand picture frames that I thought I would upcycle into embroidery pieces. after posting my first frame on twitter and going viral, I went on a hunt to all charity shops & antique markets in the area looking for these tiny frames. in august 2021 I had an etsy update releasing 5 frames and sold all within 24 hours 🤯

I am super pleased to announce I have since collected SO MANY frames 😂

I’ll be taking a small batch with me next week to my market, and I would love to trial them in my stockist. But (!!!) I have decided I will reopen my Etsy shop in the next couple of weeks, with the intention to sell some special pieces for anyone who would like to support me in the run up to christmas.

Completed my latest embroidery project!

Was supposed to be done for Disability Pride Month, in July, but ironically health and chronic illness got in the way of that. But finally done now!

Was a post I saw uploaded on one of the different groups I follow for motivational posts about dealing with fibromyalgia. This one felt just too perfect, I just had to use it to make a pattern for an embroidery.

Pretty happy how it turned out. Sadly the choice of colour for the drop shadow of the letters might been too soft a tone to notice very well. But besides that, I think it turned out pretty good.

Figured I would show u guys my new hobby! I’ve been learning embroidery and just finished this mushroom kit I got on Amazon. It’s really fun and relaxing, and it’s nice to create something with my hands <3

Fresh off the hoop! This one was fun to work on and it's very much been my mood for a few months 😂

I’ve been working on this for so long now, and it’s finally finished!

My previous sewing kit was getting too small and I needed an upgrade, so I started working on the bee cross stitch to incorporate and then came across the patches. I was tossing up which to use and then decided, why not make it double sided?

So after many hours of hand quilting it is finally finished and I now have room for all of my equipment!

Day 57 little close-up here to show the difference between two-strand vs three-strand fill. The eye is 2 strand floss and consistent, very short stitches. The face is 3 strands with longer stitches and more stitch length variation. You’d think 2 vs 3 strands is a small difference, but overall I think it makes for a noticeable if subtle difference in texture.
