Hi, i hope you're doing good 💕 I just wanted to ask whether you had any favourite fic rec blogs of your own, or knew any other active fic rec blogs you think we should check out? (tho yours will always be my favourite <3)

And honestly isn't that just the thing!! I don't know what happened during those months when i decided to go on a wee hiatus from running this blog, but every other fic rec blog I used to follow has become inactive?? My fave @bts-fic-collection also hasn't been active in a while and i'm :(((( but yeah idk why all the old favs I used to follow haven't posted in like 2 years and it's crazy to me! idk what's happened! (i'm talking about @bangtanficrec, @yoonminficrec, @namkookficrecs, @bangtan-fanfiction-finds, @sugakookiefics, and loads of others ofc)

What's also weird is that this blog has [REDACTED] followers, but most of them are those that started following me back in 2019 or whatever, and most of them are inactive too! So even though the number count of my followers could look pretty high, it's actually not very many at the moment. I'm not mad about it, although it's hard not to feel a little bitter, but at the same time I'm not doing this for the numbers, I'm doing this to keep the art form alive and thriving.

Anyways. I really need to start checking out some maybe newer, active fic rec blogs, because it does feel a little lonely out here these days.

He literally lives in the same house as Madara but Madara acts like this is normal bc hes been hallucinating so this is clearly just another hallucination

He only realizes smthn is wrong with Tobirama sees him and immediatley goes "what the FUCK" and suddenly everyone is going "oh god you can see him too????"

Izuna is on a quest to convince people he's not a hallucination (it's a losing battle)

Realistically tho, in that era, wouldn't it be more believable that Izuna is a ghost / somehow came back to life than fucking dimension travel?

What are some of your favorite head cannons for the boys? :3

ooh there’s so many it’s hard to choose! here are some that immediately come to mind tho.

ꨄ︎ one of my biggest ones for rafe is that he has sensory issues (he’s one of us fr). it just fits his character, we see it in the show in a way too, there are certain scenes where you can actually see him starting to get physically overwhelmed and I think that’s actually very overlooked.

I feel like he’s very particular about what he wears and the food he eats. that’s cause he has issues with texture but he just passes it off as being a rich snob 😭

along with this I think it definitely makes him good at taking care of reader who has sensory issues, he knows what she needs and how to give it to her, and he can tell when to step back and just let her decompress by herself.

ꨄ︎ for jj I think it’s definitely the fact that he’s just gross. this is pretty canon anyway but it’s not gone into in detail on the show.

but like he has a very musky scent and he’s not embarrassed of it. also burps and farts shamelessly cause he is gross.

this also expands into the bedroom, he’ll get cum everywhere, and he’ll piss, and he’ll make you vomit. he really doesn’t care about how disgusting things seem cause he’s a very shameless character. that makes him very appealing to me.

LoveSick!Athlete can really mold and mend well with most personalities and darlings, this is due to his manipulative personality. A little off-topic, but he really has a hard time understanding who he is because he's always pretending to be what others deem "acceptable". This causes him to have a multitude of identity crises, but when his darling, you, comes into the picture, it makes it easier for him to find himself. He feels like he's the real him whenever he's with you. You just feel so natural, he feels natural, too. It's just right.

And for that reason, I think LoveSick!Athlete would go really well with a childhood!reader, seeing as she's been with him since they were young. And, I'm not too sure if you've read my Yan!Alphabet for him, but I mention LoveSick!Athlete's childhood; let's just say it wasn't the best situation for a kid.

LoveSick!Athlete would feel a special bond with his darling now, seeing as they've been together threw thick and thin. He's trama bounded to you, and you to him. We'll run off the assumption that reader has also had a bad childhood, whether it be an absent parent, abusive sibling/family member/or parent, whatever it is allows you to feel a connection to LoveSick!Athlete, seeing as you have a mutual situation. You both have something to bond over, something that locks you together.

He has a bad home environment, you have a bad home environment. He doesn't feel at home, so you become his home, and he to you.

And I like to run on the assumption that reader is all talk, no bite. And if you've read any of my writing where the reader talks, you'll see that I prefer to write reader as more "real" (to me anyway) because I'm personally not the hugest fan of the "helpless" reader. I like to write a darling who has a mouth, someone who's bratty (but that's 'cause I'm a brat lol).

Anyway, I'm getting off-topic, back to LoveSick!Athlete.

To your idea about a snarky reader, I totally agree. Honestly, LoveSick!Athlete would eat that shit up, no joke. He would love it, as he enjoys the back-and-forth between you two. He loves to press your buttons, wanting to see what sarcastic reply you have ready for him.

The thing is, he knows your just talking shit, never willing to actually do anything. You just run your mouth, and he lets you, but whenever you step outta line, sometimes, he's gotta put you back. Though, you'll never think of it like that. No, no, he's too sweet for that. He's gotta keep that golden retriever vibe going, y'know?

He just swat you on the ass, telling you that you got such a dirty mouth, mamas? I thought you were my little princess, no? Girls with a face like yours shouldn't be speakin' that like-

He'll just move on, as if he didn't just grope your butt, nope, not at all. And you'll be standing there awestruck, face red, and biting your tongue as you try to not overheat in embarrassment!!

It never ceases to entertain him, watching your face widen with surprise whenever he refers to you as his girl, his cute little girlfriend. The way your face heats up when he wraps his strong arm around your waist, putting his cap on your head (a silent sign of possession over you, trying to get the guy in the back to keep his eyes to himself, but you don't need to know that ;)).

In your little monologue, you go over some cheerleader girl (named Cindy??). Though I would agree that chicks (and some dudes) practically flock around LoveSick!Athlete, I would say that he doesn't even pay them any mind, not even entertaining the thought. Don't get me wrong, he'll talk to them, but make it painstakingly clear that he's only got one girl on his mind, you.

Most of the time, the girl will just find it endearing, slapping his shoulder, and telling him that he'd make a great husband or some shit like that. Of course, the chicks joking, making some nice comments to leave the, now awkward, conversation, but LoveSick!Athlete will take it to heart. Now, he's imagining a pretty ring on your finger, something he paid for, he got you. Because he'd be such a good provider for you, don't you know?

Another thought, 'cause I'm on a role, but I'm not sure if I've directly said this or not, but LoveSick!Athlete is a hockey player. I've tried putting strickly hockey photos on all my posts (you should see my Pinterest feed, it's filled with hot guys lolol).

Hockey is an aggressive sport, I would know. I used to ice skate every day for an hour or two. And, trust me, I got to see a lot of hot guys, though I was always too nervous to say anything, that's beside the point.

I can imagine that reader would be the same, intimidated by these testastrone-filled, young men who just wanna get all sweaty and gross. And I prefer to think that reader also doesn't know how to skate, much to LoveSick!Athlete's enjoyment.

Just to torture you, he'll take you to his ice rink, partly wanting to show you off, and also wanting you to rely on him to move around. He won't even let you hold onto the side, nope, all you got is him, babes.

And anyone who's been to a rink before knows that if you're not on the wall, or smack in the middle of the rink, you're in traffic, especially if it's busy. And this means that you gotta go fast, keeping pace with everyone else. And there's always a handful of assholes (usually hockey players) who will purposefully do a hockey stop, flinging a shit tone of ice at newbies.

I imagine that this shit would happen all the time and LoveSick!Athete is enjoying it sm. He gets a rush every time you flinch, clinging onto him tighter, especially when the really fast skaters zoom by you, scaring the crap outta you.

And he won't let you go at your own pace, forcing you to follow his lead. This means you're going far too fast for comfort, leaning on him for support. You're arms wrapped around his bicep, which isn't recommended btw. Your cheek pressed against his arm, holding on for dear life.

You'll snap at him, telling him to shut up and stop enjoying this, you dork. I'm only clinging to 'cause I gotta!

And he'll just take it, giving you a lopsided smirk.

tbe way Iruka expresses his fondness by providing food... like half his interactions with Naruto are like "how bout i treat you to some ramen, huh," and that one line in that Kakashi book where he's exceptionally good at cooking...

has me like. Iruka, newly orphaned, struggling after the nine tails attack, he's starving. I'd say food was either being rationed or they had community food stations/mess halls where it was evenly distributed and still wasn't a lot. he misses his parents real bad, but even more at meal time.

so from that, he starts to associate food with love. gets a twinge of love for his community bc they're still trying to feed everyone. still feels utterly empty inside tho.

until he meets Naruto and goes "well this kid ain't the thing that destroyed everything. he's just a child." and sees naruto's loneliness. and his meals. and he's like, "well that sucks," and he sees the kid get all dejected and mopey, and it's the complete opposite of what he's like in class and he sees what set off the mood, a family joyously talking about going to a restaurant together. and that smacks iruka like a bag of bricks. he watches Naruto sadly walk off to ichiraku's and slides in after him like, "you did good in class today, ill buy you another bowl, how bout it?" and it just snowballs fr there. it turns out Naruto is actually fun to share a meal with. so it keeps happening. it becomes their thing. Iruka following Naruto or Naruto following Iruka there. They meet up and share their meal.

naruto is busy with team seven, so they can't meet up much, and he even says that to Kakashi!! he's like "me n Naruto don't meet up much anymore," and it's like. FUCK.

so Iruka starts to miss it. Naruto sure as fuck misses it too.

it gets worse when Naruto leaves with Jiraiya.

kakashi is low-key reluctant to interact with Iruka much these days, still feeling weird since he provoked him before the chunin exams. he's bummed ab it bc they seemed to be getting along before... but he sees iruka wilting like his plant after he's been gone too long. thinks he looks a bit like a dog missing it's friends. so he's like, "well this is a perfect excuse to talk to him again," and invites him out to dinner. he's very surprised by how he perks up to that, eyes getting too big, he's like "you're like a puppy?" bc he's ultimately an idiot who wasn't socialized

which immediately ticks off Iruka, reminds him that Kakashi literally only talks to him fo antagonize him

kakashi's like "ah fuck I've made a social blunder, Iruka hates me so much right now," and tries to smoothe it over like, "because they're always hungry? excited for food—"

the scathing look iruka gives him stops him dead.

i’m not sure where exactly to start, but i suppose you’re probably wondering how yn finds out about the whole vampire thing, so that’s where i’ll start..

basically, you know how san has blood intolerance and specifically needs type O negative blood? yeah so there’s a shortage at some point and he doesn’t have access to it. over time he gets sicker and sicker but he’s afraid of telling the guys that he’s running out of his personal stash; he doesn’t wanna worry them. of course, once it’s too bad they obviously notice and he confesses it. whole of the guys travel around to look for blood bags, while the other ones stay and take care of san.

obv, yn has no idea what’s going on so she’s both worried and just like ??? through some connections, yeosang is able to access medical files of people that attend their uni (he paid a shit load of money he’s standing on business fr) and starts looking for people with that blood type, just in case. he just so happens to stumble across yn’s file in his search, who has exactly what they need.

after a conversation with the guys, they decide to admit to what they are. when the conversation comes around, yn kinda giggles and thinks it’s a joke, however after a long conversation, she’s convinced. and so after hearing about san’s state and what he needs to get better, she doesn’t have to think twice about offering herself.

anyways san gets better after that and the guys n yn grow closer than ever.

as for the climax

her friend, daniel, is also a vampy and is lowk obsessed with her but has been able to hide it alarmingly well. when he notices just how close she is to the guys, he tries his hardest to tuin their relationship and even kidnaps her (that might not be right because idk if it counts as kidnapping but i can’t think of a better word rn).

after like two days the guys realise they hadn’t heard from their fav girl in too long so some of them head to her apartment to check on her except she’s not there cuz she’s in a random cabin in the middle of a random forest with daniel.

throughout her stay there, while the guys are splitting themselves in half tryna find her, she grows more and more uneasy and tries to leave. daniel refuses to let her go and chains her up.

meanwhile, the guys interrogate her other friends to figure out where they could’ve possibly gone (they’ve alway smelled something fishy about daniel so it wasn’t hard to figure out who was responsible for her disappearance). sangmi mentions the cabin their little group goes to on some weekends, and then they’re immediately speeding to get there.

they kill daniel and save yn yay!

you’re probably also wondering how their romance ends up so..

obviously as time progresses, they all slowly but surely fall in love with yn and vice versa. for hongjoong tho, he was in denial for a long time. after the saved her he realised wow i rlly fucking like this girl and that scared him so he subconsciously distanced himself. he was partially afraid of losing her again bc he blames himself heavily for what happened to her and the trauma it cause for… certain reasons…

everyone caught on but the guys were aware of why but yn wasn’t cuz she’s a bit oblivious so one day she finds him in his room and decides to just ask what’s going on cuz she finally got him to look at her for the first time in like two weeks. she was afraid he was mad at her, and prepared herself for the worst, but then comes his 10 minute monologue confessing everything he feels and mentioning that the others feel the same way.

he’s crying but the end of his monologue and she can’t think of anything else to do but kiss him. anyways it’s a rlly cute scene i actually wrote it already cuz i was so excited for it.

and then after that they all gather to talk abt the elephant in the room and after a brief discussion they’re all dating and they live happily ever after.

Fr tho, you guys seemed to really like my redesign of Leuce so I figured I’d give Athena and Hera a shot!

Some design notes

For Athena I kinda wanted to make her look androgynous but not to the point where she looks like Hades but with boobs. I also gave her a small scar on her lip bc I have a personal head-cannon that she got nicked by either Zeus’ skull or Hephaestus’ axe while emerging from Zeus head.

I’d say Hera is probably my favorite of the 3 designs. Now you’re all probably wondering why she has horns instead of the peacock motif people usually draw her with. And that’s exactly why: as much as I’ve seen some beautiful designs of a peacock-esque Hera, everyone does that. When googling her sacred animals I saw “cow” and thought it would be the perfect design detail.

I gave her horns based on designs I’ve seen of Phoenicians but made them more grand and draped with fabric and jewels so as to fit her queen status.

Some thoughts

-Ik she's absolutely dead.. I was in denial at first. I'm also delusional and will tinhat claudia's survival for fun/to cope so just keep an eye out for that.

-fr tho: I'm convinced only 50% of what we just saw is true. Armand becomes the only source towards the end. Claudias journal obviously is gone atp. Armand providing the written script - could b doctored. Tampered with, like Claudia's journal. He's the only witness w firsthand memory of everything after Louis is dragged to the basement and also much of what Louis could not see of lestat's face and performance. Wrt what Louis did see - all season Louis has been conspiring w armand to present a unified tale. On top of that Armand has interfered w/ Louis's memory. On top of that Louis and Daniel now have an alliance; who's to say they haven't had some kind of an agreement? There were some moments where I expected pushback from Daniel and didn't get any.

-louis writing himself out of Claudia's birth ("use lestat's version" since he doesnt trust his own recollection) and her death

-armand and (Armand/louis's retelling of) Lestat again and again and again repeating this nonsense about Claudia inevitably committing suicide. When she never showed signs of doing so. Or even wanting it. In fact she saw a vampire woman do it and pointedly did not do that. they act as if she was doomed to be erratic and self loathing and suicidal when in fact all signs point to her falling in love and becoming more stable than ever. She was quite predictable and stable all of season 2, after they got to France... Everyone is trying to deny culpability. Louis is even accepting lestat's version, even now....

-i immediately thought Armand has portrayed himself sooooo pathetically. U could control the fake jury but not the real coven? U r the only vampire in the entire building that can freeze a room so easily AND walk into sunlight to save a vampire - we've seen u do both - but u couldnt do shit?!

-why why why why did the coven even listen to the fake jury? Why did they bury him in the crypt when they could have just ignored the jury, or burned him after? This narrative needs Louis out of the room, for some reason

My one main issue with the 2012 Mutant Apocalypse was this guy here VVV

Maximus Kong, aka Leo, aka the Shredder stand in for this arc. And I don’t dislike him because of the design, but because he’s Leo.

You’re telling me Leo, who is routinely shown to be a very empathetic person with a strong sense of justice throughout the show, became a ruthless, tyrannical overlord who's only goal is to take over the world after losing his memories?

And yeah, we could make the argument that he was alone and probably got picked up by a bad crowd, or he got like this to survive, but I personally wouldn’t have gone in this direction.

So, I guess this is kinda an AU? Does it count as an AU if I’m not really gonna do much with it?

idk, anyway!

So, the arc goes down like normal, the only change is Kong is not Leo and he’s brought up from episode one as this kinda boogeyman that everyone tries to stay as far away from as possible and his Beast. The story goes that Kong has this powerful, unstoppable mutant that no one can kill. No one really know what kind of mutant it is, anyone whos gotten close enough to see it is swiftly killed by it.

Throughout the arc Kong shows up just behind our heros, starting pretty far away but getting closer with each appearance. And whenever he appears, the audience sees flashes of a hulking beast with mutagen glowing spikes and murdious glowing eyes. No one gets a good look at it, not even Donnie can get a good read on what that thing is, but where ever Kong is, his monster is right at his side.

Then we get to the final fight, Raph is on Kong’s rig and is actually winning the fight. But then Kong whistles and Raph is tackled to the ground by the Beast. It towers over Raph, wild eyes and snapping teeth inches from his face, claws ripping at his armor.

And at first Raph fights back, ready to give his all against this monster. But then he looks, really looks, the monster in the eye, in an attempt at intimidation maybe, or ready to face his death head on.

But he knows those eyes. The scalaria has gone green and bloodshot but he knows that shade of dark blue almost as well as his own neon green.

(look this is as close to scary as I can get, just pretend he looks scary)

“Leo?”

And at first, the name doesn’t seem to do anything but make Leo more mad, doubling his efforts to try and take Raph down. But Raph has switched tactics, now going on the defensive and begging Leo to recognize him, to remember him.

Leo doesn’t seem to hear him, he does hesitate a few times but Kong commands him to “Take that worm down for your master!” And goes right back to attacking Raph.

Eventually he slams Raph to the ground hard enough to daze him. Kong laughs as Raph hoarsely keeps calling for Leo, saying, “Whoever that freak used to be is long gone. You waste what little breath you still have.”

Kong grabs Raph, intent on beating him to death. Raph cries out when something in his shoulder snaps. He turns to look at Leo standing to the side, staring at the scene unfolding.

And, thinking he’s going to die here, Raph wants Leo to know one thing, “Leo....I love you brother.”

And something shifts. It’s still fuzzy but something deep in Leo’s mind stirs, remembers a much smaller, younger Raphael.

His brother...that’s his brother.

Kong was not expecting his loyal attack dog to suddenly pounce, he barely had time to react before powerful jaws closed around his neck with a wet crunch.

Leo then goes to Raph, his voice is all but gone from years of not using it, but he nudges his brother, wheezing out a weak, “Raph.”

Then the tank lurches. It had been heavily damaged in the fight and was veering through the canyons out of control. Leo doesn’t even hesitate to curl himself over Raph, tucking his long lost brother close as the rig is ripped to pieces around them.

When the rest of the gang catch up, they find Leo, curled up in a ball. At first they freak out when they see Leo’s maw is coated in blood but Leo slowly rises, revealing a very alive Raph under him.

Leo stares at his family, voice still rasping painful as he calls for them, “Donnie....Mikey....”

And then it clicks for everyone and they all surge forward to hug their big brother.

They’re reunited, brothers against the world. As it should be.

So, yeah, that was the one bit in MA that I didn’t like and how’d I fix it. Have a good day y’all!
