The Future of Farming: Trends in Tractor Technology
Agriculture has always been a cornerstone of human civilization, and as we venture further into the 21st century, technological advancements are revolutionizing the way we approach farming. One of the most significant areas of innovation lies in tractor technology, where new developments are enhancing efficiency, productivity, and sustainability. From financing options to the latest features in modern tractors, farmers now have more tools at their disposal than ever before.
Emerging Trends in Tractor Technology
The modern tractor is a marvel of engineering, blending traditional farming needs with cutting-edge technology. One of the most significant trends in recent years is the adoption of precision agriculture. This approach utilizes GPS, IoT devices, and data analytics to enable farmers to make informed decisions about planting, fertilizing, and harvesting. Precision agriculture not only maximizes crop yields but also minimizes waste and environmental impact.
Another noteworthy development is the rise of autonomous tractors. These driverless machines can perform a variety of tasks with minimal human intervention, reducing labor costs and increasing efficiency. Autonomous tractors are equipped with advanced sensors and AI, allowing them to navigate fields, avoid obstacles, and operate in various weather conditions. This technology is particularly beneficial for large-scale farming operations where labor shortages are a common challenge.
For those seeking advanced machinery, finding an ls tractor dealer near me is essential. LS Tractors are known for their reliability and advanced features, making them a popular choice among farmers in California and beyond.
Tumblr media
Financing Your Next Tractor
Purchasing a new tractor is a significant investment, and many farmers rely on various financing options to make it feasible. Understanding the different financing routes available can help you choose the best solution for your needs.
Four Wheel Drive Tractor Finance
Four-wheel-drive tractors offer superior traction and power, making them ideal for tough terrain and heavy-duty tasks. Financing options for these tractors often include loans and leases. Traditional loans allow you to own the tractor outright after paying off the loan, while leases may offer lower monthly payments with the option to purchase the tractor at the end of the lease term. Four-wheel drive tractor finance can make acquiring these powerful machines more accessible for farmers.
Compact Tractor Financing
Compact tractors are versatile and perfect for smaller farms or specialized tasks. Financing options for compact tractors typically include manufacturer financing, which may offer competitive interest rates and flexible terms. Additionally, dealer financing can provide personalized plans to fit your budget. Compact tractor financing ensures that even smaller operations can benefit from modern agricultural technology.
Tractor Financing Options
Beyond specific types of tractors, general tractor financing options are available through banks, credit unions, and specialized agricultural lenders. These options may include secured loans, where the tractor itself serves as collateral, or unsecured loans, which might have higher interest rates but do not require collateral. It's important to compare different tractor financing options to find the one that best suits your financial situation and long-term goals.
The Role of Dealers in the Tractor Market
Dealers play a crucial role in the tractor market, acting as intermediaries between manufacturers and end-users. In California, compact tractor dealers are particularly important, given the state's diverse agricultural landscape. These dealers offer a range of services, from sales and financing to maintenance and support.
When selecting a dealer, it's essential to consider their reputation, range of products, and after-sales services. A reliable dealer can provide valuable advice on the best tractors for your specific needs and ensure that you have access to genuine parts and professional maintenance services.
Who Makes LS Tractors?
LS Tractors are manufactured by LS Mtron, a South Korean company that is part of the LG Group. Known for their durability, advanced features, and competitive pricing, LS Tractors have gained a strong following among farmers worldwide. The company's commitment to innovation is evident in their range of products, which includes everything from compact tractors to high-horsepower models designed for large-scale operations.
LS Mtron's dedication to quality and performance has made their tractors a preferred choice for many farmers. Their machines are designed to handle various agricultural tasks, from plowing and tilling to hauling and planting. With a strong network of dealers and service centers, LS Tractors are supported by a robust infrastructure that ensures farmers can keep their equipment in top condition.
The Environmental Impact of Modern Tractors
As environmental concerns become increasingly prominent, the agricultural industry is under pressure to adopt more sustainable practices. Modern tractors are at the forefront of this shift, with many manufacturers focusing on reducing emissions and improving fuel efficiency.
Electric and hybrid tractors are emerging as viable alternatives to traditional diesel-powered machines. These eco-friendly tractors produce fewer emissions and can help reduce the carbon footprint of farming operations. While the initial cost of electric tractors may be higher, the long-term savings on fuel and maintenance can make them a cost-effective choice for environmentally conscious farmers.
Additionally, many modern tractors are equipped with precision agriculture technology that helps optimize resource use. By applying fertilizers and pesticides more accurately, farmers can reduce the environmental impact of their operations while still achieving high yields.
Conclusion
The future of farming is being shaped by rapid advancements in tractor technology. From precision agriculture and autonomous tractors to innovative financing options and eco-friendly designs, today's tractors are more advanced and accessible than ever before. Whether you are a small-scale farmer looking for compact tractor financing or a large operation in need of four-wheel drive tractor finance, there are numerous options available to support your agricultural endeavors.

It is very easy to forget all the infrastructure that's involved in your daily life. There is no better example than the airport, where giant cylinders filled with fuel shoot you into the clouds and all you can do is complain about how long you had to wait in the security line-up. Perhaps if you thought a little bit about all the cool stuff at the airport, you wouldn't be so grumpy about the miracle of flight.
Take radar, for instance. Once, it was a cutting-edge technology that we didn't want the Germans to know about. Now, we let the Germans have it, in their expensive luxury coupes (which are, inexplicably, four doors,) so that you don't curb the wheels when you're parking by vibes at the library. And radar keeps you alive by telling the folks driving your plane when another plane is in the area (they are extremely territorial.)
Don't forget that crazy truck that lifts up its cargo, dumping huge amounts of almost-digestible food into the plane, all so that you can have a little snacky-wacky on your flight. Someone spent their entire life, and maybe even their marriage, figuring that shit out. Maybe it has never actually worked right, and there's a team of experts straining their blood pressure every day to make up for it at the last minute. They don't want you to end up with a stack of freeze-dried Ho-Hos inside the intake of a jet engine, and you ignore their contribution to your life entirely.
Most of all, we must respect the humble luggage tug. A long time ago, one of our ancient forebears looked at a tractor and thought: "I can probably put a bigger engine on that and cut all the ass off." And they were right. The result is a snap-oversteering, unburned-fuel-spouting, high-torque monster with the ferocity of a thousand cocaine-fiending leopards. It's forced to carry your bags around so that the airlines don't have to make two trips. Someone should do something about that last one, and someone did.
I still maintain it was unfair for the police to come onto the runway to try and catch me ripping skids on the tug. Maybe even rude. They're not part of the airport. They don't respect its unique culture.

Brazil's mysterious tunnels made by giant sloths
These tunnels were once believed to hide religious fortunes deep in their chambers, but the real treasure is found in who – or what – created them.
Tumblr media
In 2009, a farmer was driving through his corn field in the south of Brazil when he suddenly felt his tractor sink and lurch to one side, making the vehicle shudder to a halt. He jumped out and saw the wheel had sunk deep into the dry soil.
Much to the farmer's shock, the tractor had broken through what looked like top of an underground cavity. Hearing about this unusual find, researchers came to investigate and were surprised to find a tunnel nearly 2m high by almost 2m wide and about 15m long running across the field and right under the farmer's house. Deep claw marks embedded into the walls indicated its past occupant was not human.
The farmer had stumbled upon a puzzling subject in palaeontology that is still unfolding today. He'd uncovered a megafauna paleoburrow, a prehistoric tunnel dug through rock by what Luiz Carlos Weinschutz, a geologist and one of the scientists who visited the farmer's property, concluded was the work of a giant ground sloth or giant armadillo from at least 10,000 years ago.
These giant ground sloths, described in one paper as "a hamster the size of an elephant", were far removed from today's unhurried, tree-dwelling ones. They grew up to 4m long and walked on all fours, although research suggests some could stand and move bipedally. Almost 100 different species of sloths roamed the Americas between 15 million to 10,000 years ago alongside car-sized giant armadillos that also dug long tunnels through rocks in Brazil.

Space Truckin'
Freight transport! The lifeblood of all modern civilizations and the backbone of the Galaxy.
Trade routes, supply chains, relocation efforts, deployment actions - everything rests on the shoulders of the transport class vessels. Well, within their bowels, but that's a less sexy phrase. Or when they haul larger things externally and have extra engines and hyper drives inside instead, does that become a horse metaphor now? Or an ox pulling a... uhh, that farm equipment before we had tractors, um...
Anyway.
There's billions of transports of literally every size and shape constantly buzzing about the Galaxy delivering perishables, non-perishables that the still existing copyright laws prevent from being printed near the destination instead, and people, who technically count as perishables, but due to other laws get their own category.
Where was I?
So, most of these are fully automated and do very basic food and other consumables runs, and require maintenance maybe once a century at most. Human ones need them once a year, since their hyperdrives don't need a stopover at a charging station, but run the tiny risk of CATACLYSMIC FAILURE BECAUSE THEY RUN ON MINIATURE STARS THAT BY NATURE CONSTANTLY EXPLODE BUT IT'S OKAY THE HUMANS SAY THEY HAVE FAILSAFES AND THOSE ONLY HAVE A 3/100000 FAILURE RATE THEMSELVES AS IF THAT'S BETTER THAN THE BIG FAT ZERO THE REST OF THE GALAXY HAS AS STANDARD!!!
Ahem.
What I was trying to get at is - Humans are nostalgic for a lot of things. Everyone has personal memories and collective history they cherish dearly, but Humans often tend to try and bring it back to life, regardless of the impracticality.
There is this one group of transports, who call themselves the "Space Truckers" and their vessels have...
wheels with tires
let that sink in
no really
actual rubber tires with air-filled liners and everything
in space
and they insist on landing on them
yes they are stupidly overengineered and can in fact hold up a ship that weighs four million tons and the inner liner air pressure is perfectly fine at around 700 atmospheres
because they can
oh and a few of them look like this
Tumblr media
but are a lot bigger
like the size of a small city
the biggest tire is 382 meters in diameter
and yes, the biggest "truck" is called Optimus Prime and they blast Deep Purple songs all the time
youtube
and no, I don't know if it can transform
they say it can't, but I don't believe Humans when they say they "can't" do something
they always figure out a way to do it
fucking Humans

Back to nature
They had broken down in Allamuchy. A miserable town somewhere in the middle of nowhere. There was a thunderstorm, the mobile phone reception was down. And Gareth was beside himself. He had an important appointment in Chicago tomorrow and had deliberately chosen to be driven by a limousine from his company. The passenger cabs were soundproof, he could have made a number of important and confidential phone calls in preparation for his appointment. And now here they were in the wasteland. Outside in the pouring rain, his driver stood trying to flag down a car. And sure enough, after what felt like an eternity, he came back and said that he had indeed been able to arrange a ride to Chicago. The driver wanted $500.00 for the diversions. There is no alternative, Gareth thought to himself and took his laptop bag. His driver held his umbrella and carried his suitcase to the pickup, which stood in the pouring rain with the engine running. As far as Gareth could tell, there was a John Deere logo emblazoned on the side. Well bravo, what a disaster. His driver opened the passenger door for him and loaded Gareth's Louis Vuitton suitcase into the back seat, which otherwise contained tools and dirty clothes. Never mind, you'll have to get through it now, Gareth told himself. The main thing is to be in Chicago tomorrow night.
Gareth was 50 and at the peak of his career. He was a vice president at one of the largest investment banks in the world, responsible for mergers and acquisitions in the chemicals sector. Good, he had to pay a large part of his princely salary to his ex-wife, but there was more than enough left over. Well, he hardly had time to spend the money, but he didn't care. Work gave him a real rush. And now he was sitting in a pickup truck in his tailor-made suit, which perfectly concealed a fat pad or two. It reeked of beer, sweat and cold cigar smoke. And the young lad next to him was the very model of a hillbilly. These were going to be difficult hours.
Gareth gave the young man a curt greeting, said goodbye to his driver and turned his attention to the screen of his iPhone. But there was still no reception… Gareth tried to read a few file attachments, but somehow it was getting harder and harder for him to concentrate. After they had driven a good 30 miles and had just passed Tannersville, the obviously taciturn man at the wheel spoke up. "Name's Jaxon. With an x. What's your name and what your doin'?" It was already 10:30pm and Gareth was getting tired… But the question woke him up again. With due arrogance, he asked Jaxon if he didn't read internal memos. His name was Gareth and he had been CFO at John Deere for almost half a year. "Ah, mate," Jaxon replied. 'Nah, don't read memos, fixin' harvesters. Impressive machines." Would Gareth know anything about them? No, Gareth replied and turned back to his iPhone. Thank God the thunderstorm had subsided and reception was back. He was ace at finance, but he still didn't know much about tractors and farm machinery. He wanted to go over a few things in preparation for the appointment the day after tomorrow at the corporate headquarters.
Gareth kept nodding off during the drive and suddenly woke up when Jaxon's car came to a stop. "I'm tired, let's hit the hay," he said curtly, grabbing a bag from the back seat and heading towards a shabby looking motel. They were in Zion and had covered just under 180 kilometres. This is going to be fun, Gareth thought sarcastically. But then again, when he had taken over finance at John Deere almost four years ago, he had insisted on cutting costs. Now he had to pay for it in this flophouse. At least you still got two single rooms.
Already at 06:00 Jaxon had woken him up and urged him to continue his journey. Gareth had slept in his underwear, he had left his suitcase in the car. He put on his jeans, checked shirt and corduroy jacket with leather patches on the elbows. It all smelled a bit like Jaxon's car, but that was okay… He would have time to shower and change before the appointment in Moline. Jaxon and Gareth drove through the morning in silence. A coffee would have been good, Gareth thought to himself. Thankfully, Jaxon soon pulled out to refuel on the right and the two treated themselves to a hearty breakfast. It was 08:00, here in Ebensburg they had just completed 250 miles, a good quarter of the total distance. Maybe he should be a little friendlier to his colleague. So they began to talk. Jaxon was not as monosyllabic as Gareth had suspected. It was just that his interests were different. Jaxon was enthusiastic about his work and the machines he worked with. In the next few days he had a training course in Moline for the maintenance of a new type of equipment, after which he would go back to his standard in New Jersey. Even though Gareth had been working at John Deere for over five years, he couldn't understand the enthusiasm. He was a numbers man. But at least they both liked football. That gave them a topic of conversation for the next few miles, when Gareth wasn't fiddling with his mobile phone again. He loves his cat-phone. It just fitted in with their company's guyish image. They drove through the morning, not stopping again until 12:00 in Zanesville. They were now about halfway through. Gareth invited them to lunch. They were both ravenously hungry. Jaxon was a real animal. A career as a quarterback, hard physical work and long evenings in the gym had shaped his body. Gareth, too, spent a lot of time pumping iron. But the work in the office was already having an effect. Jaxon simply looked fitter. Sure, Gareth had just turned 40 and was thus considerably older than Jaxon. And he missed the fresh air. Since he had moved to Moline almost ten years ago, he had become a country bumpkin. But if he wanted to make a career, he simply had to work hard.
As they drove on, Gareth and Jaxon began to gossip about the monkeys in the company management. Sure, they both had completely different jobs, but their problems were similar. Fuck, thought Gareth, how lucky we were to have met. Normally their paths would never have crossed. It was warm in the car. Gareth envied Jaxon for wearing only a T-shirt. He unbuttoned his shirt. He could do with a cigar now. He asked Jaxon if that would bother him. "Fuck, bro," the latter replied. "I didn't have the heart to ask you." They both grinned, Gareth took two cigars out of his leather jacket in the back seat, gave one to Jaxon and said "I'm Gaz by the way. Gareth is just what my supervisor and my father call me."
It was 6pm when the two stopped for a break in Indianapolis. Jaxon wanted to stop by a friend's house for a minute. It was a shame the break was short. Could have been a nice evening. Jaxon and his friend were both imposing fellas. Gaz was fascinated by their muscles and tattoos. Certainly he wasn't badly built himself. As an engineer at John Deere, he was used to hard work and he spent every spare minute in the gym. But tattoos had always been something his parents had disapproved of. And even though he was now approaching his 34th birthday, he was still under their thumb.
At 9:00 p.m. in Peoria, the two of them had to stop for gas. And piss. It was the first time Gaz had seen Jaxon's cock. Shit that the two of them were assigned to different locations. He'd love to work with the stallion in a camp for a week. Jaxon seemed to feel the same way about that, though. He looked over at his younger colleague and began to jerk his cock. Gaz knew what to do and got on his knees and sucked Jaxon's cock until he cummed his load into Gaz's face.
Tumblr media
The two hours to Moline were dangerous. Jaxon was easily distracted by Gaz's cock. And Gaz had no problem with Jaxon having one hand on his cock rather than the wheel. It was 11pm when Jaxon stopped the pickup in front of the motel. This was where the two of them were staying while being trained on the latest generation of harvesters from the company. Gaz didn't like the city. Gaz was an outdoorsman. He was uncomfortable in motels. His world was the forest, were the sawmills and were the garages where he could wrench on the machines he had admired since childhood. Fortunately, he shared a room with his former foreman Jaxon. That guaranteed fun!

“Jesus fucking christ don’t any of you dipshits know how to fucking merge ?”
Albert blinked his eyes open blearily and then immediately shut them again. The rising sun reflecting off of what was probably miles of cars and tractor trailers gave him an instant headache.
“Are we there yet?” Jack asked from the back seat, voice thick with sleep.
“No we’re not fucking there yet,” Race cursed. “If we were I’d be cursing much fucking more.”
Albert couldn’t help but smile. It felt so good to be back with Race. “You know I could have driven,” Albert said.
“Like fucking hell I was going to let you do that,” Race took his eyes off of the road for a brief second to glare at Albert. “First you’re injured-“
“I’ve had worse.”
Race ignored him. “You look like you haven’t slept in a week-“
“Hitchhiking from Canada is hard work!”
“And it was one thing on the fucking bumble fuck backroads, but this is fucking 95. People don’t fucking know how to drive here.” Race swerved into the right lane and layed on the horn and flipped off the Jeep that had just cut him off. “See?”
Unfortunately, Race was correct. Despite the fact that Albert had raided a Walgreens in not only Chicago, but also somewhere in the maze of corn that was Ohio, his shoulder was still fucked and his nose was regrettably getting more and more stuffed. Normally he would down 9 advil with half a bottle of DayQuil and pass out for six hours, but he wanted to be at least mostly conscious when he entered Davey’s office. So he’d been alternating between taking advil and DayQuil every four hours. It was nowhere near as helpful as his usual dose and he felt like absolute shit. The one driving shift he had taken, at midnight through Pennsylvania, had been absolute hell. But Race didn’t need to know that.
“Are you sure you don’t want me to drive?” Jack asked. “You’ve been going since two and-”
“Jack,” Race interrupted. “Can I ask you a question?”
Albert smirked.
“Yes?”
“Have you ever driven into Manhattan at 7:30am?”
“No.”
“That’s what I fuckin thought.”
Jack hesitated. “So do you not...want me to drive?”
“I’d rather fucking retake fucking high school fucking chemistry again than fucking let you get behind the fucking wheel right now.”
Albert tried to hide his laughter unsuccessfully.
Race took his eyes off of the road for a brief second to side eye him. “Albert Dasilva rush hour traffic is not a laughing matter.”
“Sorry,” Albert muttered, biting his cheek to keep the rest of his laughter in.
“But why is it different from rush hour traffic in any other state?”
“Watch and learn,” Race said. “Albert, badge me.”
Oh this was going to be good. Albert opened the glovebox and pulled out Race’s FBI badge. In all their years as agents they had wanted to do this but had never had a good enough reason, until now, evidently.
“Why do we need a badge to get through the toll plaza?” Jack asked. “Are they going to give us a discount or something?”
“Don’t be ridiculous,” Race scoffed. “We work for the government, not the fucking mafia.”
Albert snorted. That was one way of putting it.
As they drove through the toll plaza Albert felt adrenaline begin to course through him, momentarily taking his mind off of his sorry state. This job was so much better with a partner. This was something that he knew, obviously, but he came face to face with it every time he was out on his own for long periods of time. Albert had hitchhiked across his fair share of the country on his own and it was always hell on earth. It made him appreciate moments like this even more, the small moments of insanity in an otherwise, generally frustrating job. He could die at any moment, but at least he had Race by his side and some kind of scheme brewing between them.
Like right now.
“Why are you going into the bus lane, Race. We are not on a bus.”
“Watch and learn, Jackie,” Race smirked as he rolled down his window. The state troopers were already approaching the car.
“Sir this is a bus lane only,” one of them said. “You are going to have to exit.”
Race dramatically flipped open his badge like they do in the shitty cop movies. “Racetrack Higgins,” he said. “I’m with the FBI. Me and my partners are on a time crunch to get into the city.”
“And what does that have to do with this here bus lane?” The trooper crossed his arms.
“I’d tell you but you know how it is, FBI, secrets, alla that,” Race waved his hands around vaguely. “In fact, I should make you sign an NDA just for talking to me.”
The trooper was unamused.
“Look man,” Race said. “This is a life or death situation here. You either let me through or I tell the head of the New York FBI that you, personally, are the reason why I am late, and lemme tell you, that is not going to be good for either of us.”
The trooper considered. Behind Race, buses began to honk impatiently.
“C’mon man, I’m holding up the line of disgruntled commuters here.”
“Fine, just this once,” The trooper said, stepping back from the car and waving Race through.
Race rolled up the window and stepped on the gas. A small, devious smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. Oh, what Albert would do to see that smile.
“Boys,” Race said, pulling into line with the other buses. “We’ve fucking done it.”
“ Fuck yeah man,” Albert shouted, reaching over to fist bump Race.
“What did we do, exactly?”
“Bypassed all of the fucking tunnel traffic,” Race said, drumming on the steering wheel. “It's an absolute game changer.”
“But you said it was a life or death situation…?”
“Uhh…yeah?” Race looked at Jack through the rear view mirror. “Jacobs is going to fucking kill us if were any more late than we already are.”
“Why are you guys so afraid of him?” Jack asked. “He’s just another guy working for the same people we do, he’s barely got more clearance than you do.”
Albert smirked as Race made eye contact with Jack in the rear view mirror.
“Let’s revisit that thought when we’re done with the meeting, capisce?”
And an hour later, when they were all finally sat in Jacobs’s office, Jack really did look like he was rethinking that comment. Albert didn’t blame him.
“You’re late,” Jacobs said, slamming the door shut behind him.
“My apologies,” Race said. “One of us was dead less than twenty four hours ago.”
“What, you think crime stops when people die?” Jacobs sat down behind his desk.
Race opened his mouth to respond but Jacobs fixed him with a glare.
“I want to keep this brief,” Jacobs said.
Finally, something they could all agree upon.
“I don’t want you here,” Jacobs said.
Race snorted. Albert choked down a laugh. Jack looked confused.
“Glad we’re on the same page,” Race muttered under his breath.
Jacobs ignored him.
“The only reason you are allowed back here is because we need your help.” It looked like it pained Jacobs to say that.
“Could I get that in writing?” Race asked.
Albert elbowed him.
Jacobs glared harder. “I can still fire you.”
“You just said you needed my help.”
“Race,” Albert whispered, bumping his leg against Race’s.
Jacobs watched the two of them with a bemused expression before continuing.
“A man named Sean Conlon turned himself in this morning. He’s a member of The Anonymous, a gang we have been trying to take down for years.”
“What does this have to do with us?” Albert asked. He was familiar with the name. He didn’t know much, but he knew they were dangerous. He thought that Finch might have mentioned them before.
“It doesn’t have anything to do with you,” Jacobs said. “It has to do with him.” He pointed at Race.
“Me?” Race raised his eyebrows.
Albert did not like where this was going.
“He said he will only talk to you,” Jacobs said.
“How does he know who I am?” Race asked.
Albert was wondering the same thing. He and Race had fucked right out of New York as soon as they could. It didn’t make sense why a gang member would be on a first name basis with him.
“I don’t know, and I also don’t care,” Jacobs said in true Jacobs fashion. “I want to take these fuckers down. So the case is now yours. Don’t fuck it up.” He slid a fat case file across the table.
Albert glared at it like it would bite him.
“It’s going to be a few weeks before I’m able to do field work again,” he said, gesturing to his arm that was still in the sling. “So I am not sure when we will be able to-“
“Oh you’re not doing anything, Dasilva,” Jacobs said, his smile sickeningly sweet. “You and Kelly, was it? Are on behind the scenes work exclusively. Higgins will be in the field.”
Albert felt his heart drop down to his feet.
“Sir-“ he said, trying not to let his voice shake. “I don’t think that’s-“
“I don’t care what you think,” Jacobs said. “This is the first solid lead we have had on this case in years. Higgins is going to be in the field and that’s final. Now for your assignments…”
He started rattling off addresses and places and Albert tuned it out. He could blame it on the pain or the cold he was definitely catching when Race asked him about it later. Race and him were a packaged deal. Together or bust. Usually it was Albert in the field, Race on backup. Not because Race couldn’t handle himself. But because it hurt Albert too much to see Race get hurt. He had seen enough of that when they were kids. He could keep Race safe now. That was why it was always him throwing his life on the line, jumping in front of bullets and off bridges and exploding things and detonating things and doing whatever he needed to do to make sure that Race could go to bed in one piece at night. And Jacobs wanted to throw him straight into the fire now? In New York? He was worst than a jerk he was a fucking-
“Dasilva!”
Albert snapped out of his thoughts.
“Hm?”
“Pay some attention. I said you’re working at the Starbucks in Times Square and-“
“No the fuck I’m not,” Albert said, surprising himself.
“I beg your pardon?” Jacobs looked like he was considering stabbing Albert with the pen he was holding in his hand.
“No I’m not,” Albert repeated. “If you want me on this case, I’m working at 99c pizza. That’s my one condition.”
Jacobs considered. He knew Race and Albert were a packaged deal. They already had been.
“Fine.” Jacobs said. “But I’m not making any other exceptions for you two.”
Albert nodded. His arm was hurting again. He didn’t realize how tense he was. He needed to go lay down. He needed this meeting to be over. He needed to go curl up next to Race and maybe that would wash out the numbness.
It was far too long before Race was tapping his arm and offering him his hand. He just managed a curt nod to Jacobs as he followed Race blindly out the door.
“He was…interesting,” Jack said as soon as the elevator doors closed.
“Told you,” Race said, though it lacked his usual snap.
“Still can’t believe the New York FBI headquarters are in the fucking H&M building,” Jack said, mostly to himself.
Albert grunted in agreement. It truly was the stupidest thing about this place. Who the hell had had the bright idea to put the damn FBI headquarters in Times fucking Square of all places?
Just thinking about the nightmare of this building and the sensory overload that was down on the street below them that he was going to have to walk through in a few minutes made his head hurt. He let his eyes fall closed.
Race’s hand was immediately on his uninjured shoulder.
“Do you know where you’re going, Jack?” Race asked.
Jack must have nodded because no one said anything else.
All too soon, the elevator dinged open and Albert was forced to open his eyes as they were deposited in the Times Square H&M stockroom.
“Stay close,” Race whispered.
Albert didn’t need to be told twice.
He let Race steer him through the throngs of people, letting his guard drop for the first time in over a week. He knew he should be on alert, but it was Race. Race would never let anything happen to him.
“We just have to head to the van real quick,” Race whispered in his ear.
Race could have led him anywhere and he wouldn’t have cared.
He waited, leaning against the van as Race grabbed their go bags out of the back. He heard Race say goodbye to Jack, he must be staying somewhere different than them. Albert tried to take his bag from Race, but Race just brushed his hand away.
“Not tonight, Albie,” he laughed lightly, as if this was a normal situation. Well, Albert guessed it sort of was. How awful was that.
Race slid his free hand back into Albert’s and suddenly they were back on the street, back in Times Square and all the lights were blinding him, making his head hurt worse. He shut his eyes. Race would lead him home. He always did.

sincerely hope it’s been worth the wait lol. let me know what you think!!!

Four wheels and a helmet - Racing events that aren't all karting.
With the thrill of watching races like the 24hr of Le Mans or the British Grand Prix come statements like, ‘what does racing feel like.’ and ‘I bet I can do that’. But unfortunately not everyone has a multi-million pound hypercar, years of training and a specialist team at hand. So how can a motorsports fanatic experience the rush of racing?
This is where Track Days and races like the 24hr of LeMons come in.
Created from comments passed over picnic blankets and coffee tables, these races give the average motorsports enthusiast the chance to experience racing as a driver. America offers amateur endurance races, Europe focusing on short distance racing with many different ‘cars’. Track days are as exhilarating as races with the added bonus of being able to drive around your favourite track as fast as you want.
Fans of endurance & Rally races will enjoy the 24hr of LeMons; a series of races taking place on street circuits in America. The 24hr of Lemons (styled a LeMons, a clever tribute to Le Mans) focuses on budget racing, with negative points awarded to cars above the $500 limit. The do-it-yourself attitude to the race is part of its charm. The less likely for your car to cross the line, the more likely you are to win an additional cash prize. Grab a friend (or include the whole family), a car that can cross the line and jump into 24hrs of pure driving. The organisers of LeMons also host a rally, with a separate trophy for Rental Cars. Earn points in the Lemon Rally with the age of your car, where it was manufactured and by meeting certain criteria laid out in the Route book.
For fans of the unusual, races like British Tractor Pulling and Piaggio Ape Racing are two main points of interest. Tractor pulling is not a race in the conventional sense, instead of racing tractors, the aim is to pull a weight transfer sledge over a distance of 100m, the fastest tractor is the winner. With twelve classes, Tractor Pulling is a great sport for those who have access to a tractor or have the drive to build one themselves. Piaggio Ape Racing is an Italian affair, the three-wheeled trucks hailing from Pisa. The roots of Piaggio Racing are firmly in Italy, with the sport reaching the UK in 2013. Piaggio Racing is straight-forward, drive the truck as fast as you can and reach the finish line first. The British Ape GP was held on the Rye House Raceway and now you and a friend can race the Piaggio around the track.
For those who don’t want to race but want the experience of driving, Track Days are the best fit. Iconic circuits such as Brands Hatch and the Nürburgring offer Track Days, just bring yourself, your car and push yourself to the limit!
There are so many options to experience and suitable for many different budgets. From grassroot sports just starting out to historic circuits, take you pick and jump into Motorsports from a whole new angle.

A question from the Speakeasy:
Which of the boys drives/owns a car?
In no particular order...
Time leases a sporty but understated black sedan. It's a "sleeper," the kind of car that you don't realize is fast until he takes off from a dead stop and leaves you half a mile behind. Stealth is important to him.
Twilight drove a tractor before he could legally drive a car. He's got an old well-loved pickup truck at his parents' house that wouldn't have made the drive to Termina, so it lives there to this day. Now that he's gotten used to city living, Twi can still drive (and drove the SUV in The Brave) but tends toward public transport more often than not.
When Legend lived on Koholint, he spent some time living out of his car. When he moved back to the mainland, he did in fact pick up an old beater for the Hyrulean equivalent of $3k and used a bunch of obnoxious bumper stickers to cover up the rust spots. He pays someone that Ravio knows to sign off on his inspections.
Wild could not drive, but Champion can and prefers his motorcycle above all other methods of transportation. Anything else feels too claustrophobic.
Warriors doesn't have a license, but he knows how to drive. Can you imagine him waiting in line at the DMV? He'd try to supply them with a headshot to skip the line and get kicked out.
Sky has a car that the boys don't know about, because the thought of letting any of them in his shiny red Viper-esque supercar makes his hair stand on end. It lives in storage, it's absolutely pristine, he drives it at obscene speeds and loves it to death. It has a name. It's a pilot thing.
Wind could not be arsed to get his license.
Four has his license but not a car of his own. Too much overhead between insurance, titles, etc., even if he can do the maintenance on his own. He's a bit hesitant to put his name on any public record or register with a place like the DMV. Plus, city living means that he doesn't need one.
Hyrule learned how to drive in high school, but since then he's been so immersed in school that he has let his driving skills fall to the wayside. He drives like your grandma: pulled up right to the steering wheel, going 5-8mph below the speed limit, and he gets REALLY ANXIOUS when someone's on his tail. Legend's road rage actually puts Hyrule at ease.

The chicks are outside in the brooder coop, none too soon but still in much better time than previous years. Finally, a wheel we don't have to reinvent every year!
Tumblr media
The current state of the field garden--or at least its state before Jacob dumped the rest of the mulch pile on. It's more covered now. You can see the cleared spot where the brooder coop recently was (where the ducklings grew up), and the chicks are now in charge of clearing and fertilizing a new spot. As you can see, despite assorted previous tillings and mulchings, a great deal of it is still sod. The bare patch in the back right is this year's attempt to desod.
Tumblr media
I drived tractor! Tractor make big noise! Tractor have many many levers.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Seriously. So many. I now know what roughly four of them do. Controlling the scoop, funnily, is only one of them and actually fairly intuitive.
Tumblr media
The view from the stoop. In the foreground, you can see where I played at knocking over the giant dirt pile we got from the neighbors when they dredged their pond. It leads into my pathetic "kitchen garden", which is also about 50% sod, but we have managed to radically improve the soil there. The weeds love it.
Guess I'll go order another truckload of mulch.

To all of the Californians trapped in your homes by the snow: sorry guys you're on your own, your local services are overwhelmed. Last year on New Years, during that big snow, my parents were trapped in their house for a week, and didn't have power for 2 1/2 weeks. I had to drive up and deliver them a generator and help them deal with it.
You are going to have to help yourself. Help your neighbors and your community. The northern areas are more used to this, so copy them. People who can get groceries and other supplies, do supply runs for people you can't get out. Drop off things at the end of a plowed areas and others will make arrangements to walk there. Use social media!!! Communicate and work together!
During that last storm, the entire neighborhood got together to clear fallen trees, shovel and one guy hooked a plow to his tractor and people with four wheel drive drove up and down the roads to clear the snow. We had to throw metal stuff at the downed power lines to make sure it was okay to drag them out of the street.
I'm sorry, but the government can't help you right away. Help yourself and the people around you.

I agree with this a lot. I am from a rural midwestern community and so many people, particularly boys and young men, are drawn to conservatism almost solely because conservatism is associated with a bunch of popular local activities that are, in reality, not partisan.
Hunting and fishing, driving combines and tractors, raising and showing animals, rowdy activities like four-wheeling and tubing, contact sports, etc.
Having someone on the other side of the aisle who seems like he enjoys those things too gives boys and young men a chance to consider why they’ve mindlessly associated their hobbies with their political beliefs up to this point.
So, I really love the selection of Tim Walz for VP and it’s taken me a moment to articulate why. I mean, obviously, Dem bonafides, he’s sharp, he’s funny, etc etc. But everyone in the Veepstakes fits that bill, Harris was spoiled for good choices.
But Walz offers something that the other men in contention don’t that I think will be incredibly useful in combating Trumpism.
He offers an example and an off ramp to the section of men who felt like they were Republicans by default, and so support Trump by default. There are a lot of Trump voters who are full on obsessive, but that’s not who we’re talking to. We’re talking to folks who grew up in Republican areas, or felt their hobbies didn’t line up with who a Democrat was, or didn’t feel represented by their image of a Democrat. You want to see it so you can be it, you know? Which is why Harris is so inspirational to a lot of segments of folks, but Walz is too.
He served in the military. He went to a state college. He’s your favorite teacher from your public high school. He’s your football coach who actually cared if you were passing your math class. He’s the guy you looked up to at school when your family sucked but this guy cared, and he helped you get out and make something of yourself.
He’s the neighbor who helps you jump your car. He’s your uncle who takes you hunting. He’s your Dad who loves teasing you at the Stare Fair. He’s you when he makes a mistake like his DUI and takes responsibility for it, and when he has the chance makes sure other can come back from similar mistakes. He’s you when you and your wife want so badly to be parents and IVF gives you the family you wanted. He’s you when he says ‘it had to be me’ and used his standing and power to protect vulnerable kids sponsoring the GSA at his school.
He gives the real life example to these men that they can be that football, fishing, hunting family man who wants to provide for his family, be that powerful, respected member of the community and use that power to feed kids in school. That it’s normal to enthusiastically work for a boss like Harris. That yeah those other guys are fucking weirdos, and you’re not a weirdo, are you?
That there’s a place in the Democratic Party for them. That they don’t have to default to being fucking weird.
I hope those guys see this example of masculinity and go… yeah, that’s me. That’s who I’m gonna be.

The Benefits of Stump Grinding
Stump Grinding is a process that reduces tree stumps and their surrounding roots to a size where they can be removed by hand or used for mulch. This service is necessary for a number of reasons, some of which include: Stumps that remain from dead trees aren’t just unsightly, but they can also be hazardous to anyone who walks by them. They’re also the perfect home for a number of insects including termites, carpenter ants and wood bees. The best way to get rid of these pests and protect your property is to have a professional stump grinder remove the entire stump and root system. A stump grinder is a powerful machine with a rotating cutting disc that chips away at the wood of the tree stumps and the surrounding roots. They’re usually attached to a tractor or other powered vehicle and cut down the stumps to below ground level, making them easier to remove than removing them by hand. A good stump grinder will also leave behind a large amount of wood chips which can be used as green mulch in flower beds and other parts of the yard, or even poured back into the hole where the stump was ground out and allowed to decay naturally. There are a number of different types of stump grinders available on the market, each with its own unique specifications and capabilities. For example, some have an angled or tilting steering wheel that allows the operator to position the wheel to match their natural wrist angle, reducing stress on the joints when operating the machine over extended periods of time. Others have adjustable seating to allow the operator to fine-tune the seat position for optimal comfort and ergonomics. Other machines have a convenient lever-based drive system that puts the control at the operator’s fingertips for easy access, reducing strain on the wrists when maneuvering over difficult terrain. When comparing the various features of the different grinders, be sure to consider how easy it will be to maintain and replace engine filters and other parts that need regular attention. Machines with easy access to these components will be easier to clean and will have a longer lifespan than those that are more challenging to work on. Look for durable construction and strong welds as well, which will help to prevent the machine from breaking down prematurely. A company that’s known for their rugged and efficient stump grinders is Bandit Industries. Founded in 1983 in Remus, Michigan, they began producing hydraulic log splitter attachments for skid steers before realizing that contractors needed more efficient ways to clear debris from job sites. Since then, they’ve expanded their line-up of stump grinders to offer a wide variety of options for commercial and residential use. The company’s top-of-the-line 74 hp model cuts through stumps and their thick, twisted roots up to four feet in diameter with a single pass. Its wide swing and industry leading chip containment make it a standout performer in its class. via https://treeaestheticswa.wordpress.com/2024/10/26/the-benefits-of-stump-grinding/

Regardless of the size of the farms, one can find an ideal New Holland tractor with matching needs. Since each tractor model is designed with a specific task in mind, there's an ideal tractor for the job you want to do.
Tumblr media
Popular models of tractors include the New Holland T4 series. Compactness and agility make up the most defining attributes of this model. This tractor model is appropriate for small and medium-scale farms where manoeuvres are the must. Powerful engines of 45 to 75 horsepower come with these T4 tractors. Because of this, they have the capacity to carry a great variety of farming equipment that can range from ploughs to seeders and loaders. The strength with compact size makes them versatile, being able for use in different agricultural activities, like tilling the soil, and moving goods.
The specifications of New Holland tractors are impressive and contribute a lot in terms of popularity. Most of the models feature hydrostatic transmission which ensures smooth and responsive operation. For example, Holland tractors come in four-wheel drive capability, giving the farmers more extensive traction and stability in negative terrains. The tractor does not have a wide gear-shifting system, thus a farmer can easily alter the speed and the direction thereof.
Comfort seems to be the major characteristic of New Holland tractors. More models come with big cabins intended to cater to comfort in the operating area. Examples include designed seating, easy-to-use controls, and climate control to reduce fatigue more significantly at the end of prolonged hours of work. That way, comfort actually means allowing farmers to work effectively without overstraining them; hence, they can continue to be productive all day.
Beside all these, New Holland also has high-tech designs in its tractors. Among some models there are GPS guidance systems which are considered to highly improve operating efficiency. They help farmers plan and deliver their activities in the most optimum ways of resource utilisation. While using GPS, the farmer does not waste much and increases crop yield and thus develops a more environment-friendly form of farming.
There are numerous benefits to owning a New Holland tractor, but routine maintenance is what keeps it at its best. Their professional maintenance and repair services will get your tractor running in an efficient manner, and then you're free to focus on the important issues.
