The Future of Farming: Trends in Tractor Technology
Agriculture has always been a cornerstone of human civilization, and as we venture further into the 21st century, technological advancements are revolutionizing the way we approach farming. One of the most significant areas of innovation lies in tractor technology, where new developments are enhancing efficiency, productivity, and sustainability. From financing options to the latest features in modern tractors, farmers now have more tools at their disposal than ever before.
Emerging Trends in Tractor Technology
The modern tractor is a marvel of engineering, blending traditional farming needs with cutting-edge technology. One of the most significant trends in recent years is the adoption of precision agriculture. This approach utilizes GPS, IoT devices, and data analytics to enable farmers to make informed decisions about planting, fertilizing, and harvesting. Precision agriculture not only maximizes crop yields but also minimizes waste and environmental impact.
Another noteworthy development is the rise of autonomous tractors. These driverless machines can perform a variety of tasks with minimal human intervention, reducing labor costs and increasing efficiency. Autonomous tractors are equipped with advanced sensors and AI, allowing them to navigate fields, avoid obstacles, and operate in various weather conditions. This technology is particularly beneficial for large-scale farming operations where labor shortages are a common challenge.
For those seeking advanced machinery, finding an ls tractor dealer near me is essential. LS Tractors are known for their reliability and advanced features, making them a popular choice among farmers in California and beyond.
Financing Your Next Tractor
Purchasing a new tractor is a significant investment, and many farmers rely on various financing options to make it feasible. Understanding the different financing routes available can help you choose the best solution for your needs.
Four Wheel Drive Tractor Finance
Four-wheel-drive tractors offer superior traction and power, making them ideal for tough terrain and heavy-duty tasks. Financing options for these tractors often include loans and leases. Traditional loans allow you to own the tractor outright after paying off the loan, while leases may offer lower monthly payments with the option to purchase the tractor at the end of the lease term. Four-wheel drive tractor finance can make acquiring these powerful machines more accessible for farmers.
Compact Tractor Financing
Compact tractors are versatile and perfect for smaller farms or specialized tasks. Financing options for compact tractors typically include manufacturer financing, which may offer competitive interest rates and flexible terms. Additionally, dealer financing can provide personalized plans to fit your budget. Compact tractor financing ensures that even smaller operations can benefit from modern agricultural technology.
Tractor Financing Options
Beyond specific types of tractors, general tractor financing options are available through banks, credit unions, and specialized agricultural lenders. These options may include secured loans, where the tractor itself serves as collateral, or unsecured loans, which might have higher interest rates but do not require collateral. It's important to compare different tractor financing options to find the one that best suits your financial situation and long-term goals.
The Role of Dealers in the Tractor Market
Dealers play a crucial role in the tractor market, acting as intermediaries between manufacturers and end-users. In California, compact tractor dealers are particularly important, given the state's diverse agricultural landscape. These dealers offer a range of services, from sales and financing to maintenance and support.
When selecting a dealer, it's essential to consider their reputation, range of products, and after-sales services. A reliable dealer can provide valuable advice on the best tractors for your specific needs and ensure that you have access to genuine parts and professional maintenance services.
Who Makes LS Tractors?
LS Tractors are manufactured by LS Mtron, a South Korean company that is part of the LG Group. Known for their durability, advanced features, and competitive pricing, LS Tractors have gained a strong following among farmers worldwide. The company's commitment to innovation is evident in their range of products, which includes everything from compact tractors to high-horsepower models designed for large-scale operations.
LS Mtron's dedication to quality and performance has made their tractors a preferred choice for many farmers. Their machines are designed to handle various agricultural tasks, from plowing and tilling to hauling and planting. With a strong network of dealers and service centers, LS Tractors are supported by a robust infrastructure that ensures farmers can keep their equipment in top condition.
The Environmental Impact of Modern Tractors
As environmental concerns become increasingly prominent, the agricultural industry is under pressure to adopt more sustainable practices. Modern tractors are at the forefront of this shift, with many manufacturers focusing on reducing emissions and improving fuel efficiency.
Electric and hybrid tractors are emerging as viable alternatives to traditional diesel-powered machines. These eco-friendly tractors produce fewer emissions and can help reduce the carbon footprint of farming operations. While the initial cost of electric tractors may be higher, the long-term savings on fuel and maintenance can make them a cost-effective choice for environmentally conscious farmers.
Additionally, many modern tractors are equipped with precision agriculture technology that helps optimize resource use. By applying fertilizers and pesticides more accurately, farmers can reduce the environmental impact of their operations while still achieving high yields.
Conclusion
The future of farming is being shaped by rapid advancements in tractor technology. From precision agriculture and autonomous tractors to innovative financing options and eco-friendly designs, today's tractors are more advanced and accessible than ever before. Whether you are a small-scale farmer looking for compact tractor financing or a large operation in need of four-wheel drive tractor finance, there are numerous options available to support your agricultural endeavors.

i'm gonna be completely honest with yall the ls dunes discourse is so fucking stupid. it's really obvious you are all like sixteen (which i am literally sixteen too so. not inherently a bad thing. but still.) i've waited until shits's died down a little to post this cuz ik ill get hate but i gotta get it off my chest.
i am BEGGING you all to go to a modern art museum or go research performance art pieces or just fucking google fountain by dechamp and PLEASE stop acting like "art" consists entirely of anime-style fanart you see on tiktok. yes this is about the fact that the entire comment section of the posts about the old wounds music video is teenage my chem fans going "ai art isn't real art!!!!! you hate artists!!!!!!!!"
you can not meaningfully define art. art is art if someone says it is. yes that includes ai art you literally sound like the tradwives who whine on twitter about modern/abstract art not being real art. there is no definition of art you can make that excludes AI generated content and includes pieces of undeniable modern art.
now i AGREE that there are some ethical issues with ai art. mainly that the content gathering methods for most generators are iffy. HOWEVER this relies on the assumption that intellectual property is a thing that exists and is important to protect. in an ideal world it shouldn't exist and copyright laws will almost always do more harm than good. however under capitalism there is unfortunately some practical value in protecting the rights to artists' works.
"but xander it's stealing jobs from real artists!!!!!!"
okay. here's the thing. it is true that ai has the potential to reduce the ability of artists to make a living off their art. just like photography took jobs from painters and automation took jobs from factory workers and tractors took jobs from farmers. the issue there is capitalism, NOT individual people not wanting to buy commissions from you.
⚠️side tangent warning⚠️
there's this hugely widespread attitude in young visual artist communities on the internet that you're entitled to attention and commissions and i'm sorry to be mean but you're just. not. i'm sorry but you literally are not that's not how the world works. you ARE allowed to be frustrated that your art doesn't get attention or that no one buys commissions from you. that is a totally valid feeling that i get as well!!!!! i know deeply the pain of posting a piece you're super proud of and spent hours and hours on and getting like three notes! that's a completely valid frustration! but truthfully you do not have the right to guilt trip people for not wanting to reblog your art for whatever reason.
"but how can they expect me to keep making content for free for them if they don't reblog it??!!" then stop making content for them. if they didn't reblog your art then i'm sorry to be mean but they probably will not be bothered if they don't see any art from you again. if people see art that they want on their blog or they think is worth sharing for whatever reason, they will reblog it. there will always be hundred of creators getting loads of praise for there art who will keep making it. and if they scroll past it then it just didn't speak to them like that. begging and pleading and guilt-tripping people to give you attention will not change that. and there will always be many more artists who do not find success on the internet, for whatever reason. it doesn't mean your art is bad though!! art should have intrinsic value to you and if it doesn't then maybe it's not the path for you. if you don't have the internal motivation to keep making art without the attention you're not getting, then stop spending so much time making art. i went through it, i get it. i know the frustration of not feeling appreciated. you know what i did? i stopped posting most of my art. and i stopped caring about notes when i did. i make art because i love it and i can be proud of my art without external validation.
and i promise you that every artist in history knows the pain of not being able to make money off your work. unfortunately under capitalism that's just how art is. it is usually not profitable. the reason you're not getting commissions isn't because the world is full of lazy entitled people who hate artists and would rather use ai than support you, it's because commissions are not something it is reasonable to expect to make much money off of. i hate to speak in capitalist terms but it's not a desired product. most people don't walk around having images in their brain that they want to exist that theyre can't make themself that they're willing to pay people fifty bucks to draw. most people are happy imagining their ocs in their mind or using pictures for their profile pictures.
and most adult, professional, non-terminally-online artists will tell you that unfortunately art has never been profitable for the majority of people. that they don't have much of a problem with AI because they either don't make money off their art already or know that people will keep wanting to buy their paintings or whatever if they want to buy their paintings. that humans will always appreciate human-made art and ai is more of a novelty than something that's going to ruin the lives of all artists and take away opportunities that they never really had. that the ai-animated shows netflix is experimenting with are simply shows that wouldn't exist if netflix didn't have a cheap way to make them, not lost potential jobs for "real artists."
and i do think there's a genuine issue with the way you guys are guilt-tripping every person who scrolls past your art that's going to seriously fuck up anyone with ocd who maybe just doesn't like your art very much!!!!!!! and i think there's something gross about the way you guys are talking about artists as if we're some oppressed minority that's under a wave of hatred and bigoted attacks. as if every single human being isn't an artist in some way. as if there's some targeted hate campaign directed at the tiktok cartoonists who are the only people you think of when you hear the word "artist." and don't get me wrong i think art is more important than anything. i think it's what makes us human. it's everything to me it's my entire life. but i also think you guys have developed a really juvenile attitude about it.
⚠️end of side tangent⚠️
do i think it would have been better if dunes paid a traditional animator to make the old wounds music video? yeah of course. and their bullshit justification about art being meant to make people mad so they're doing something right or whatever is fucking stupid and makes me cringe. but i don't think they've committed the grave unforgivable sin you guys are acting like it is.

Persephone's Crown
1. Each woman blooms in seasons of her own, My mother said, hands floury, kneading dough. I clattered pans, in silence played alone On the linoleum, an age ago – Still childish, weedy, sprouting ripe and green. Our kitchen smelled of summer heat and yeast, And she was beautiful, the sun’s bright ring Upon her hair, gold braid a sheaf of wheat. She baked a dozen loaves for me, then more, Cakes, muffins, scones – till I refused to eat And thinned as she grew plump and opened stores, Became a chain, conglomerated; chief Executive, hailed by Time Magazine, While Fortune’s men crowned her that season’s queen.
2. While Fortune’s men crowned her that season’s queen, I turned sixteen. Dark hair, dark-eyed, white-thighed, I did not look like her and could not see My own pale shade inside her spring green eyes. My birthday present was her credit card, She said to choose whatever I would like. There was no cake: that fall we counted carbs. My father’s florist sent me paper-whites, Forced out of season, hothouse vanity. I didn’t miss her gift. I knelt to peer Into my silent mirror. I didn’t need Her bread. I lit my secret candle, seared It to my hand. I didn’t want her kiss. I only needed flame, to make a wish.
3. I only needed flame, to make a wish – For what? At Saks I scarcely could decide: Gold chains, silk scarves, or sweet black licorice whips. The Lancome mirror coldly told what my Reflection lacked. A salesclerk analyzed Me, painted me with April pinks, and sprayed My wrists with Joy. But Hades, searching ties, Beneath the fume and wax saw my real shade. He said, Try red. Or dove-smoke gray and wine. He brushed my lids with pearl. In mirrored love And agony his cryptic gaze held mine, Outlined in kohl. Pale flesh, red lips, breasts flushed, Two embers waiting one hot breath, we glowed. It’s true he stole me. But I chose to go.
4. It’s true he stole me. But I chose to go, Unable then to see how Mother missed Me. Or, perhaps I didn’t care, if crows’ Feet scratched around her eyes, when I’d been kissed By fire, enrapt and snug in earthen sheets. He breathed into my mouth, his touch a knife That quickly slit, delivered blood and seed, Exquisite pain, my flesh come last to life – I wept, lay down to sleep, eternally Transformed. He woke me; we drank Armagnac, Watched vampire flicks he ripped off pay TV; He fed me roast lamb, and Black Forest cake. He gave me rubies, his skeleton key — With rosebuds dyed ash, he crowned me his queen.
5. With rosebuds dyed ash, he crowned me his queen In an ecstatic rave, crashed by a crone From 20/20. She aired stills of me, Of Mother choking on thrust microphones, And fleeing the press hounds, cloaked as a maid, To Zeus – who raged at all the ills he bore: The Star blazed tales of ravishing young aides, The pleas he’d been a swan shocked Senators, His stoic unsung wife who’d jetted off To Ithaca. Dyspeptic, he advised, While lighting his cigar, she view my loss A law of nature: innocence must die. She took that lit cigar into her hand. She only needed flame, to make demand.
6. She only needed flame, to make demand That I return. She burned her stores, then closed The bakeries. Grain rot across the land As tractors idled, S&Ls foreclosed, The markets fired clerks, stocks flat-lined. Zeus Appealed for reason. Had she lost her mind? What kind of woman acted with such brute Abandon, while cold hungry children died? She would not yield. Till his offerings had burnt To ash, his tribute wine bled out, and Zeus Sent Hades streams of pale night-blooming girls Like me. I swallowed envy’s crow, grief’s fruit, Took off my rosebud crown, boxed up my gems. She touched my face, to see me home again.
7. She touched my face, to see me home again, While shadows lengthened under me with time. She restocked stores, paid Zeus a dividend, And ceded options I can exercise Each spring. We know I’ll never take her chair — In fall I’m damned to buy fresh lipstick, flick An ashen rose across my cheek, despair A taste for salt I can’t outgrow. I wish I could see snow on Mother’s hair; she grieves That I can’t bear a child. At equinox Our fate embraces us; I ate his seed; She starved the world; a crown exacts its cost. Half live, half dead, we mount our separate thrones. Each woman blooms in seasons of her own.

Brazil: Meet Your Enemies: Against Monsanto and Everything That Makes it Possible (Eng/Port)
Agribusiness means all processes that encompass the production, processing and marketing of agricultural and livestock goods. It is an industry that includes the production of raw material to the manufacturing of the products on the shelves of the supermarkets and also encompasses the various transport and distribution processes as well as the personnel associated with production and the public and private institutions responsible for promoting this industry.
In our territory (Rio Grande do Sul) it is possibly the worst. Prominent companies like AGROESTE and AGROCERES are on the list of the main exporting companies. And in this environment is where you will find transnational and holding companies such as MONSANTO (1), NIDERA (2), SYNGENTA (3), CARGILL (4) and BAYER (5). However their presence here would not be possible without the service of local players such as AGROESTE (6), AGROCERES (7), MONSOY (8), DEKALB (9), ROUNDUP (10) and SEMINIS (11) among other interests that package, store and distribute their products throughout the territory. Industrial machinery companies such as JOHN DEERE (12). MARSIPAN (13) and LS TRACTOR (14) are also responsible for importing machinery, sprayers and fertilizers that are essential to these processes. These bourgeois big landowners who own thousands of hectares and plant polluting monocultures form institutions to defend their interests for example FARSUL (15) and FEPARGO (16).
Once again, all the devastation and extraction that is being carried out would not be possible if it were not for the usual complicity of the state via the PARLIAMENTARY FRONT OF AGRICULTURE (17) and the MINISTRY OF AGRARIAN DEVELOPMENT (18).

Photograph: Alamy
Winning tip: Theme park in a Transylvanian salt mine, Romania
For a surreal experience, look no further than the Salina Turda salt mine. The 120-metre-deep mine was built in the 17th century and briefly used during the second world war as a bomb shelter. Then, later, it was a cheese storage facility. More recently it has been converted into a magical underground theme park, with a ferris wheel, mini-golf, bowling alley and table tennis. It also has an underground lake with rowing boats that you can use to explore the mine. Adult 5.75, child 2.90; ferris rides 1, row boats 2.90, salinaturda.eu Lindsay Watters
Stuttgart Pig Museum, Germany
Trotter this way piggy banks on display at the Stuttgart Pig Museum. Photograph: Alamy
Claiming to be the largest pig museum in the world (it could be there is little competition), the Schweine Museum has 50,000 items over three floors and 25 rooms that detail every aspect of the pig: from hunting, farming and butchery to the role of the pig in human culture. There is even a room dedicated to the pig in relation to human sexuality! If all this pigginess gives you an appetite, its restaurant awaits where pork and ham dominate the menu, obviously. Trick fountains at Hellbrunn Palace, Salzburg, Austria
Showers forecast visitors amid fountains at Hellbrunn Palace, Salzburg. Photograph: Getty Images
I first visited these trick fountains as a child and enjoyed them so much I returned years later with my girlfriend. The Mannerist fountains, within the picturesque grounds of Schloss Hellbrunn, were the brainchild of the eccentric Markus Sittikus, Prince-Archbishop of Salzburg, who enjoyed playing practical jokes on his guests. Highlights include a banqueting table rigged with water jets for unsuspecting guests, a grotto that traps guests with a maze of water sprays and a water-operated musical theatre. You walk in trepidation, awaiting the next shot of water, and often to the great amusement of everyone else. Dry off with a stroll around the beautiful gardens. A great attraction for a warm summers day. Adult 12.50, child (4-18) 5.50, family 26.50 (2 adults, 1 child, 2.50 for each additional child); price includes guided tour through trick fountains, hellbrunn.at Michael Groves

Monserrte Palace, Sintra. Photograph: SeanPavonePhoto/Getty Images
As if Sintra were not eccentric enough, William Beckfords gardens at Monserrate can only be described, like the cause of his exile, as flagrant. Waterfalls, streams under gothic arches, a ruined chapel and a huge collection of plants once curated by a gardener from Kew are all there with what was once the only lawn in Iberia. The palace inspired by Brighton Pavilion stands at one end of a path and the cafe at the other. Everything you eat or drink there is splendid, as recommended to us by a group of trainees from, yes, Kew, whom we overheard working in a particularly luxuriant bed. The palace has seen better days but chamber concerts in the original music room are raising funds for its restoration. parquesdesintra.pt John Pelling
Mountain views while on a toilet in Andorra
Stream of consciousness toilet with a sloping view at Grandvalira ski resort, Andorra. Photograph: callens17
In the principality of Andorra, at the Grandvalira ski resort, I discovered an eccentric attraction the toilet on one of its, ahem, runs. From the outside it has reflective walls, but once inside the walls appear transparent so you have a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains. You do have to keep reminding yourself that while you can see the passing skiers they cant see you. Its a bit unnerving at first. callens17
Jet engines in the garden, Burgundy, France
Plane crazy aircraft at Savigny-ls-Beaune
Not many chateaux have around 90 jet fighters in their garden, but the crumbling chateau in the village of Savigny-ls-Beaune does, along with helicopters, a hovercraft, hundreds of motorbikes of various ages, a shedful of viticulture tractors, a display of ageing fire engines, thousands of models of all sorts of vehicles and an attic full of (real!) Abarth racing cars. It also produces and sells wine. It was a weird but fascinating experience. Adult 11, child (10-16) 5, under 9 free, chateau-savigny.com Sandra Charles
ikov television tower, Prague
Photograph: Alamy
Voted the second-ugliest building in the world, the ikov tower makes for an interesting diversion from the historic architecture of the centre. Its an odd sight, featuring crawling babies ascending to the top. Inside, however, there is an observatory and a rather swish cocktail bar (and restaurant), serving delightful concoctions in test tubes. At the top you can sit in half-sphere glass seats dangling from the ceiling a comfortable spot for relaxing with fantastic views of the city. Muse du Champignon, Loire Valley, France
On a family holiday, we stumbled across a mushroom museum at Cave des Roches, east of Tours, which involved a fascinating and bizarre cave tour through the world of French shrooms. On the site of a former quarry, there are now seven underground levels to explore. I was not a funghi fan before visiting but the delicious shiitakes converted me. The Saumur region, more generally, is also gorgeous and perfect for a family camping holiday. Adult 9, child (6-18) 7, musee-du-champignon.com Gemma Wilkins
Purrfectly ridiculous cat museum, Amsterdam
Paws for thought at Katten Kabinet, Amsterdam. Photograph: Alamy
Amsterdams Katten Kabinet is devoted to an exploration of the cats role in art and culture through the centuries. Fascinating though that was, for me the best bit was the section on JP Morgan, a ginger feline owned by the museums eccentric founder, Bob Meijer, and the inspiration for the museum. This cat inspired huge devotion from Meijer and his equally crazy cronies. For example, to celebrate Morgans 15th birthday, they produced US dollar bills with George Washingtons face replaced by the cats and the words In God We Trust replaced by We Trust No Dog. That gem alone was worth the entrance fee. Adult 7, under-12s free, kattenkabinet.nl rja123
Grtas sculpture park, Druskininkai, Lithuania
Park revolutionary bust of Lenin at Grtas sculpture park, Druskininkai. Photograph: Danita Delimont/Getty Images
In a beautiful forest setting in southern Lithuaniai is a sculpture park unlike any Ive ever visited. Here are gathered Soviet-era statues of such notables as Marx, Lenin and Engels. They were rescued from abandonment by the parks millionaire owner after the fall of communism. So far, so eerily impressive. The jury is out on whether the mock-gulag extras of watchtowers and barbed wire are educational or tacky and the park has earned the nickname of Stalins World. Its museum depicts communisms dark side and there are some striking and familiar propaganda posters in the art gallery. Adult 7.50, 6-16s 4, under 6s free, grutoparkas.lt Moiraash

Records Fall at the 5th Annual Outlaw Street Car Reunion
Sometimes we feel like the glory days of drag racing were the 1960’s. It was fresh and fun, and innovation was at an all time high. While the 1960’s certainly offered up some of drag racing’s greatest times, we’re living in a pretty awesome time right now. The outlaw drag racing scene is partially responsible for this boom in popularity, as its many divisions are packed full of innovative combinations. Events like the Outlaw Street Car Reunion are an excellent barometer for the sport of drag racing, as it drew hundreds of racecars and thousands of spectators, all hungry for the next big “wow moment”. Whether you are strapping into a racecar or sipping on a cold one in the stands, you’re eager to see those moments, and the Outlaw Street Car Reunion had plenty to offer. Wheelstands, wild rides, world records and unbelievably close finishes made for a stellar weekend of drag racing action.
Jerry Hunt came from St. Louis, Missouri to compete in Mid-West Pro Mod Series, which was added to the Outlaw Street Car Reunion lineup this year. Jerry qualified 13th out of 30 cars to make the 16-car field, but climbed the ladder on Saturday to take the victory and $10,000.
You can’t fill a piggy bank with bragging rights, but setting records has a certain way of putting you in the position to win. Justin Martin qualified number one in the Limited Drag Radial category, laying down a class record of 4.111 seconds in his turbocharged Nova.
Race promoter, Tyler Crossnoe is a young fellow who multi-tasks his way through this monster of an event. Of course, he has a crew to help, but he takes great pride in track preparations, and takes a hands-on approach to making sure each and every class has optimal track conditions. With more than $100,000 up for grabs between 10 classes, the stakes were high, and hundreds of racers came out to historic Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky to get their piece of the pie. Although this is the fifth rendition of the Outlaw Street Car Reunion, it is the first to take place in Bowling Green, as it was previously held in Memphis. The move offered a more central location, and a target rich environment, as the area is loaded with car enthusiasts.
You can’t fill a piggy bank with bragging rights, but setting records has a certain way of putting you in the position to win. Justin Martin qualified number one in the Limited Drag Radial category, laying down a class record of 4.111 seconds in his turbocharged Nova.
The Limited Drag Radial category has a few leaf spring cars in the mix, including Lyle Barnett and Jason Digby’s Dodge Dart. Lyle laid down a 4.139 in qualifying, resetting the leaf spring record, and claiming third in the 32-car field.
With race preparations starting early in the week, Tyler and his Speed Promotions crew hustled to get the racing surface dialed in, while racers continued to pour into the gate. By Thursday, rain chances threatened the Sunday portion of the event, which was scheduled to be final eliminations. Tyler made the call to move eliminations to Saturday, and adjust Friday’s schedule accordingly. Between the schedule change, a few oil downs, and even a mishap with the tractor, Friday was a tough day for the crew, but Saturday saw beautiful weather and a big turnout of spectators to witness the action. Racing started early on Saturday, and continued until after Midnight, in order to knock those 32-car fields down to the winners.
In its United States debut, this incredible 2015 Lexus RC-F competed in the Limited Drag Radial class. Piloted by Daniel Pharris, the Lexus claimed the number two qualifying spot, and made five outstanding passes in eliminations, culminating with a 4.117 in the finals to take home the victory and $5,000.
Robert Norrod’s wheelstanding Vega station wagon offers entertaining launches on every pass, but his opponent’s deadly consistent Camaro would work its way through the ladder to take the 6.0 Index class win. With a .001 light and a 6.007 elapsed time, Vince Damrow had a little luck on his side to beat Johnny O’Daniel in the finals.
Tyler and the race promotion crew weren’t the only ones to have trouble during the event—some of the racers experience broken parts that would’ve been detrimental to the average racer. But these are not average racers. They helped each other thrash in order to make the next round, and that’s part of the reason this event is called the Outlaw Street Car Reunion—it’s because these racers are like a big family, and when one is in need, there is a line of people waiting to see how they can help. Mark Micke’s catastrophic engine failure was the greatest example of this brotherhood, as his twin turbocharged, record-setting Malibu obliterated an engine and transmission in eliminations. He won the round, but there was nothing left of his power plant. Luckily, he carries a spare bullet in the trailer, but he had to swap engines and transmissions between rounds. The oil on the track, caused by his explosion gave him a little more time than a normal turnaround, but it was still astonishing to see him make the next round. Eventual winner Daniel Pharris put him on the trailer in an epic side-by-side battle. Mark’s quicker but losing 3.748 at 209.65 miles per hour pass was evidence that he had lost on a hole shot, but running a 3.74 after rebuilding the car was a victory in itself.
The Bruder Brothers shocked the X275 world when they debuted their blower combination, and it has proven to be successful in a class packed with turbochargers, nitrous and centrifugal superchargers. The wild Mustang reset the X275 world record with a blistering 4.297 pass, but was put out in the semi finals.
He may not have won his class, but Denmark resident Poul Anchersen won the hearts of thousands with his big block powered 1978 Cadillac. The beast ran in the MX235 class, which regulated racers to a 235/60R15 or 26×8.50R15 tire. The big Caddy ran mid 5’s in the eighth mile.
Stories like this are part of what makes drag racing memorable. If it were easy, no one would care enough to watch it or compete. It’s the challenge of chasing records, battling mechanical difficulties and beating the guy in the other lane that keeps people coming back. Events like the Outlaw Street Car Reunion bring back the excitement of the old days and mix it with the new-age technology that keeps making these cars quicker and faster. Take a look at our highlights from the 2018 Outlaw Street Car Reunion and you’ll see why this is one of the fastest growing drag racing events in the country.
A new addition to the Outlaw Street Car Reunion was the Xtreme 28-inch No Time class. These are the true outlaws of the sport, as the loose rules package results in some wild combinations. One such example is Heath Littrell’s Procharged Hemi-powered Nova.
Bill Lutz took part in the No Time class, and made some killer passes on his way to a $10,000 victory over Jay Trisel. The low slung Camaro uses twin turbochargers to send power back to the 275/60R15 drag radials.
Mark Micke rocked the drag radial world with record-breaking runs at a previous event this year. At the Outlaw Street Car Reunion, he didn’t break any records, but he did break a motor. With a catastrophic failure in eliminations, the crew thrashed to replace the engine and transmission in time to make the next round.
This Pro Mod-style Corvette runs in the Radial vs. The World class, and owner Tim Kincaid poured the coals to the blown ‘Vette in an effort to outrun Mark Micke’s record-breaking Malibu. The power wheelie cost him the win, but it sent the crowd into a frenzy.
Brian Keep was another racer who set a class record at OSCR. His supercharged fourth-generation Camaro is setup for the Ultra Street division, which has a tough rules package. He set the pace with a record-breaking number one qualifying shot of 4.673, and then went on to take the class victory against Ron Belcher in the finals.
Another record in the books is the world’s quickest LSX powered vehicle. Dave Adkins and TJ Grimes are constantly chasing this record, and reset it with a 3.87 at 197 miles per hour in the eighth mile. The Pro Mod-style second-generation Camaro features 427 cubic inches of LS power with twin Garrett 88mm turbochargers.
One of our favorite cars at the Outlaw Street Car Reunion was Jody Voyles’ third generation Camaro. His twin turbo Camaro ran in both Limited Drag Radial and Radial vs. The World classes, laying down some awesome numbers, including a 4.11 in LDR trim.
Another long-time outlaw racer, Shane Stack has been wheeling this Monte Carlo for many years. The twin turbo G-Body is set up for the Limited Drag Radial class, and stayed consistent all weekend, until it came time for the finals when it slowed a couple tenths and handed the victory to Daniel Pharris.
Jimmy White is in the near lane, piloting his supercharged fox body Mustang. He made a statement in the X275 class, outrunning some heavy hitters on his way to the finals. His opponent (Shane Fisher) broke, so Jimmy had a competition bye to take home the $10,000.
As if getting down the track on a 275/60R15 drag radial isn’t tricky enough, there is a whole class devoted to getting it done on an even smaller tire. The MX235 class laid down some impressive passes over the weekend, but it was George Raygoza taking $10,000 home to California.
The 7.0 Index class is one of the toughest in the sport of eighth-mile drag racing. The racing is always tight, and it was Mark Smith who claimed the $5,000 victory in his black 1967 Camaro, beating Tyler Huckaby in the finals.
The race everyone waited for was the Radial vs. The World finals. Taking place after Midnight, the final round saw an epic battle with nitrous versus turbochargers. It was Daniel Pharris in the Corvette taking home the $25,000 RvW win against Jeff Naiser’s Pro Mod-style Camaro, in a close 3.73 to 3.74 second race.

I put in $1200/year. I am now 26. I was talked into getting this policy from someone who I respected but does not now, knowing they did not have my best interests in mind. I do not need life insurance at this moment, although I know there will be a need further down the line when I might have a greater chance of being uninsureable and the premiums will be higher. However, I am rated as preferred so I dont know if that will hold true. Should I surrender this policy? If I do I will have a check for $1331- basically I would lose out in $3469- BUT it might be better to lose that money now than to keep contributing $1200/year while the cash value grows very SLOW and my death benefit is only $176,000 anyways, which is NOT enough anyways... Any advice would be helpful. If I do surrender the policy I plan on opening a ROTH IRA and funding it with $200/month- the 100 from the ins. and 100 more of my money.

Car insurance cancellation?
Definitely, I will ring them tomorrow, i have just sent them an email if i do not get any response by 12 in the noon, i will give them a ring. I was looking through health insurance one night, entering information such as phone number and my health past. The next day, I received a call from a lady who said she was an independent health agent and that she worked with people to help them pick the right insurance for them. I just want to know if anyone has had experience with this in the past and if I should get insurance through her. I just find it weird that she somehow got my number and that she told me we would meet not at an office but at a meeting place like Starbucks. Also, she said I would have to pay the first month s fee with the application. What if she isn t who she says she is? I may not be able to find her again without an office right? Does this seem fishy to anyone else or am I just being paranoid? If this is a scam, does anyone know where I could find information on real health insurance agents in Arizona? Here are my questions. Feel free to give me general information. That would be much appreciated. Sorry if some of the questions are a bit idiotic. D: I just seriously have no clue. I was stuck with this topic. Thank you so much! 1. Is health insurance free right now? 2014 2. If it isn t free, how are people paying for them if they have it? 3. If it IS FREE, are people paying taxes so everybody is covered? (someone told me this. Idk if it s true or not) 3. Does everybody have Obama care now? Might be true. I have comprehensive

How much would car insurance go up if...?
My family and I are just trying to get a ballpark idea of how much my sister s car insurance would go up if we made a claim on an accident she had. She was in a mall parking lot and pulled out to make a left turn. I think she didn t really see a car coming, but I also think the car was zipping around the lot at a too-fast speed. My sister got hit in her driver s door and needs a new door and the frame of the car needs pulled out. There are no witnesses to really show who s fault it is, and I think it s a little of both judging by how much damage there is on her car (the other driver had to be going fast). There is no damage on the other person s car. It costs about $1500 to get it fixed (just the bare minimum - a new door from a junkyard and fixing the frame, just to make it safe and sealed, there will still be some dents). We re debating on claiming it or not because there is a $500 deductible. She is 25 years old and hasn t had an accident before. How much do you think the insurance would go up and how long would it stay up? Would it be worth it to claim it or should she just pay cash for the damages? I have no accidents or any kind of tickets on my record. Now i decidet to sell my car, but is there any way possible for me to stay insured on other vehicles that my family drive, while i dont have any car on my name? Because when i got added to insurance, prices of insurance on all the cars has been slightly raised, as they explained its because i am able to drive their car. As i sell my car is there any way possiblee for me to stay insured on all the vehicles without rate going up on those cars? and the only time i posible will be driving the car is week ends. Mineral marvel the theme park in Salina Turda salt mine in the Durgu-Valea Srat region, Romania.

Voted the second-ugliest building in the world, the ikov tower makes for an interesting diversion from the historic architecture of the centre. Its an odd sight, featuring crawling babies ascending to the top. Inside, however, there is an observatory and a rather swish cocktail bar (and restaurant), serving delightful concoctions in test tubes. At the top you can sit in half-sphere glass seats dangling from the ceiling a comfortable spot for relaxing with fantastic views of the city. Observatory admission adult 8.80, child (3 and over) 5.60, family (2 adults, up to three children) 22, towerpark.cz bevshields

Racing Titan, Nick Arias Jr., Has Died
One of the titans of hot rodding, Nick Arias Jr., has died. Arias is synonymous with racing—especially drag racing. His 498ci Arias Hemi, based on the Chevy big block design with his own Hemi head, was and still is a staple of drag racing. First appearing as a 10-liter, it was the dominant engine used in boat racing and also tractor pulling. His Hemi head conversion business covered many engine families including the Chevy LS, while he also helped develop the New Century Aluminum racing engine.
Growing up in California, just blocks from downtown Los Angeles, his was the prototypical California hot rodder life, racing in the mid-1940s at the dry lakes and even being a witness to the first drag race in Goleta, California, in 1949. After getting drafted for the Korean conflict in the early 1950s, he worked first for Wayne Manufacturing, known for their Chevy and GMC 12-port straight-six racing heads. His time at Wayne taught him about piston and combustion chamber design, and also nitromethane, which he’d apply many times over the next 50 years.
Then came a stint at Al Sharp’s Sharp Speed and Power, known for their flathead Ford speed equipment. In 1953 he and Bob Toros started Venolia Piston Company, using Frank Venolia’s name because as Arias said, “Everyone knew Frank Venolia,” who had been making pistons for years right next door to Wayne. Throughout this time he also raced successfully at the dry lakes.
Conflicts with Soros and third partner Joe Pisano led to a split, with Arias selling his third to them. This opened the door for him to start Arias Pistons in 1969. Said Arias, “I ran some ads in HOT ROD and National Dragster, and all of my old customers I’d dealt with at Venolia started coming to me.”
In 1972 his “Hemi-Chevy” was ready, followed by the 10-liter in 1975 and 8.3 498ci Top Fuel and alcohol engines shortly thereafter. Since that time Arias developed new engines including the Arias 4-cylinder for USAC and Midgets, the Arias V6 Hemi, Arias Racing Boss 429, Howard 12-Port GMC head, New Century block, and his current LS and small block Ford Hemi heads.
Arias received the NHRA Lifetime Achievement Award in 2000, inducted into the Drag Racing Hall of Fame in 2005, and the SEMA Hall of Fame in 2012.
