Dear Slug,

There is a lot I could say to you. First thing I should probably say is I hope you’re good. You aren’t like me, you don’t fare as well in solitude. That’s okay, though. You have plenty of good friends to see when you come home, and me. I hope that fact is keeping you a little warmer at night.

I’ve noticed that since I met you, I have changed as well. I still get along fine on my own, but now when I am alone, my thoughts are consumed by when I will see you again. Thinking about you is pleasant, I don’t think I mind. Don’t tell anyone I said any of that, okay?

Sorry, I got off topic. I shouldn’t have wrote in ink. Um.

Anyway, something you should also know is that Inanna misses you, as well. She always lifts her head when I mention your name to her. So definitely make an effort to come to the hut when you get back to Vesuvia, okay?

I would also like to see you.

Words aren’t my strong suit, Slug. I think you know that by now. But I have an easier time writing them than I do saying them out loud. So, in case you haven’t heard it enough, my life is better with you in it. It’s uh.. cheesy. But it’s true. Eggs taste better when you cook them. That could just be you being a better cook, but it could also be that I’m more excited to eat when I eat next to you.

Again, don’t tell anyone that.

I hope you return from your adventures with lots of stories. I can’t say I have many, but I can tell you about the chickens. I enjoy listening to you talk, anyway. So I think that’s okay.

I think I’ll see you soon, so I won’t say goodbye. So that’s it.
