So it turns out I am now physically incapable of watching any media in a historical-esque setting without obsessively wondering how the characters would have dyed their clothing.

Great time to remember that, in the books, Percy didn’t actually come to understand just how terrible the gods are (as a whole) until The Last Olympian. And he didn’t start to get bitter as hell about it until even after that. The show is doing a great job of setting this up, in my opinion.

are the spots on eclaire’s hip(/thigh/butt) freckles? or is she spotted like a deer?

Originally Eclair's design had freckles on her face, but with the way her hair frames her face, the glasses and the constant blushing, they always ended up either getting lost or looking too busy.

I've kept the hip freckles though. I just think they're neat.
