Finally, peace and quiet. From the moment he stepped back onto dry land, it'd been nonstop onlookers and even the odd handshake, versus nobody shooting him a second glance on the ship ride here. But he'd be a fool to expect anything elseー this was Fennmont.In said city was Talim Medical School, where he'd studied for a few years ( jude mathis : from student to renowned spyrite researcher ). Not his destination tonight, though. He just didn't have any mental energy left to catch up with any old classmates or professors that might be around... On top of the fatigue, his GHS ( Gin Handy-phone System ) might be broken. Standing alone under the dim light of a lumen tree, Jude took the red device out of his pants pocket, flipping it open. He squinted down.

There was a giant fracture on the top section, cleaving the display screen straight down the middle.

He pressed the power button. Nothing.... No way. Hadn't the shopkeeper fixed it? It was functioning fine just an hour ago. Great, then he'll just have toーー his sigh faded as a sudden gust of wind drowned it out.

And one by one, the light of the lumen trees went out, softly buzzing.

Left in the shadows of the green blue sky, Jude's eyes widened. His body felt like it'd been shocked into stillness. Then, for some reason, he slowly turned to look out across the water....

And there, on the other side, down the stepsー

Was a person.

They were lying on the ground in the dark. Just them, nobody else was there. It was impossible to tell anything else from this distance. Jude broke into a run.

"Hey!! Are you okay?!" And, once he reached them, finally, "Hang on, pleaseーー" Please, don't already be too late ( where is this sudden sense of dread coming from? snap out of it! ) It was a guy with blood red hair, likely a bit older than him, unique clothes he couldn't put a name to... what the hell happened? Was he here the whole time? He just didn't notice? Quickly, Jude knelt down by his side, and just as he reached out a hand against his neck to take a pulse . . .

Vaggie must've been a bit terrified at first. The only sinner she ever sent mercy to was a child. Then to see someone who to her is an adult sinner who just looks really human, that must be crazy. Ooo... I didnt like this part at all... Instead of making the choice she just runs off. Then because the plot demands it, Adam says nothing. Kinda whish she atleast avoided the question, maybe in some way that would require actual thinking? For a character like Vaggie, she could choose either way and it feel like it's still her. If she chose to protect Charlie's dream, she would still be perfectly loyal to her but in the act of so would reveal a secret that could harm their relationship(which does happen at the end but that's because the plot wanted it like that). If she chose to side with Adam, she'd be hurting Charlie emotionally, sure, but it would keep a secret that could make Charlie see Vaggie less than who she is to her already(atleast what Vaggie might think would happen). Imo it should've been her deciding to protect Charlie, since it would mean she's devoted to her at all times.

ANOTHER THING! IF SHE COULDN'T MAKE THE CHOICE, THAT IS SOMETHING INTERESTING TO GO INTO. Maybe it could go deeper into how Vaggie doesn't know who she is without Charlie. So when she has a choice to make, like here, she can't do it without feeling the need to ask Charlie. BUT NOOO, YA HAD TO GO WITH THIS!! Wow. That was a long ass rant. Wtf 😭

Maybe I'm a dumbass. Maybe they'll talk about that next episode, but still, atleast touch on it a bit to not seem rushed?

Even though Vaggie and Charlie may be going through this horrible thing with a hard punch in the gut, but Vaggie is always going to comfort her and I just think that's so adorable.

Everyone fears to be like Lucifer. If they don't do bad things they believe are for the greater good and make sacrifices that put them higher than those in hell, they could themselves be fallen. It's really interesting but I don't know if it's going to be fleshed out enough with the amount of episodes left. Which also worries me about everything else that still hasn't be concluded. There's gonna be loose strings I just know it. Hopefully though they rather do that then rush everything out y'know?

I want the next episode to be mostly focused on Vaggie and Charlie's relationship and the healing of what happened. Not for the entire episode of course, it would feel drawn out if it did, but atleast address the problem for the first like I would say 10 minutes? Then the rest would focus on one or two loose threads while also having Vaggie and Charlie acting upon moving on. That's just my idea but yeah-

Undertaker has very beautiful eyes. They are like deep pits where shadows dance in a macabre symphony.

His eyes oscillate between being your safe haven and your worst nightmare. When he's kind, his eyes shine like two giant sunlit emeralds, he tells jokes to make you laugh and he bakes you some cookies. His touch is soft, gentle as if you were a work of art he doesn't want to destroy, don't want to taint with his hands.

But sometimes his eyes are like a deep foreshadowing of a promise of regret and guilt that will bloom in your chest if you do something wrong. Facing them is like challenging an endless abyss, feeling your own soul being pulled into the darkness that inhabited those green eyes.

"Sometimes I feel like you love my eyes more than you love me, darling." He laughs when he notices you staring at him again, mesmerized, analytical. But you couldn't help it.

Every time you found yourself before those eyes, there was no fear for you knew he would never hurt you, just a strange fascination that compelled you to dive deeper into that ocular abyss.

"Uh, well, they're so beautiful!" You replied, a little shy. "Beautiful things deserved to be stared and loved. Don't you agree?"

He tilted his head, thinking. A smile graced his lips as if he found something very amusing.

"Indeed!" He murmured in a singsong tone. "But be wary, my dear. Beauty can often conceal darkness and not all that is beautiful is meant to be loved."

He leaned in closer, his eyes gleaming as he took hold of your face, holding it gently in his heads while his thumbs caressed your cheeks. "Remember that and you'll navigate this world with more clarity than most, hehehe."

As Undertaker's words lingered in the air, you felt a shiver crawl down your spine, there he go again, saying strange things that sometimes scared you. Really, your lover must be very happy to scare and then comfort you.

"But beauty's still worth admiring, even if it's got a few skeletons in the closet, right?" Undertaker chuckled, his eyes glinting with amusement at your carefree attitude and he nodded.

He pulls you close, letting you rest your head on his chest as you intertwine your hands together. "Regardless, your eyes are still pretty and I don't care about any danger or darkness if I have you by my side."

I'm pretty sure my very first post about 'Fionna and Cake' was about pointing out this line in "Fionna Campbell"

Is a reference to "I Remember You", where Marceline said that very same line to Ice King

At the time I just took it as another little bit of Foreshadowing for the connection between Fionnaworld and Simon.

But now that we've established a bit more about Cake's plights, and I started thinking more about this... I wonder if this line is meant to highlight the ways in which Simon's struggles under the Curse of the Magic Crown and Cake's struggles after having her Magic taken away from her kinda mirror each other.

You know, turning into Ice King took away Simon's mind and ability to reason (by pumping his brain full of Madness and Sadness) and his ability to communicate (by tanking his already-kinda-awkward communication skills) and even kinda took away his body.

And becoming an ordinary cat did all of these things for Cake as well - took away her mind and ability to reason (by giving her an intelligence closer to a regular housecat) and her ability to communicate (by making her unable to speak or even comprehend human speech)

And taking away her voice and the Stretchy body that is clearly the one she feels most comfortable with.

And ... so what happened in that scene back in IRY is Ice King, in the middle of writing a love song about Princess Bubblegum, suddenly has a moment of Clarity about how lonely and miserable he is. Enough Clarity to know that he's unfathomably sad and that there's something Wrong with him that's sabotaging all of his relationship - but not enough clarity to know what it is. So he just... has a total breakdown

Lashing out and throwing ice magic anywhere. Then Marceline, uncomfortable and worried about Ice King's behavior, tackles him and says the Line.

Meanwhile, in the first episode of 'Fionna and Cake'...

Both Fionna and Cake feel like there's something off about their lives, But Fionna can at least articulate it better as like, general ennui or a quarter-life crisis, rather than Cake's little housecat mind not really comprehending or capable of fully expressing what she's feeling at all.

Leading to concerning behavior such as her apparently not eating for the last three days.

And suddenly, she has her moment of Clarity. She sees these Portal Sparkles and she seems to know on some level that they'll do something good for her. Especially as she tries to shove her head in the ice

And later is shown obsessed with ice in general - even without the sparkles directly being around.

On some level, Cake understands the mechanics of the Portal Sparkles better than Fionna does - but on all other levels she's still a housecat and probably has no idea what is going on with her own mind as well.

And from Fionna's perspective she's just acting weird and spreading ice all over the house and lashing out at her in her confusion over her own feelings.

I think, perhaps whatever part of Simon's subconscious has subtle control over Fionnaworld noticed the similarities between Cake's situation and his own memories of being the Ice King - and thus, Marceline's old words coming out of Fionna's mouth.

The similarities don't end there, either. Cake and Simon both have to go through a lot grief with people still treating them as their old selves. General folks in Ooo treating Simon like Ice King

And Fionna's tendency to be overprotective of Cake even though Cake is now an incredibly OP shapeshifter and Fionna's still just an athletic human

And to speak for her even though she can speak for herself now

And sometimes kinda condescending to her about her own judgement

All make Cake feel, and not unjustifiably so, that Fionna still sees her as her old self, as a Housecat. She literally says so in the same episode where Fionna and Cake's friendship is tested the most.

And Cake's anxious desire to bring Magic into her world even after it was confirmed that she can at least stay as herself in Fionnaworld, I think that's also a mirror of Simon's anxieties. Simon felt like he, an ordinary non-magical man, could never truly fit in within the wacky and magical world of Ooo

And Cake might've been afraid of the same being true in reverse about being a Magical Cat in the least Magical world in the whole multiverse. At the very least she must've been worried about being forced to pretend to be a non-magical cat again like Simon tried to make her do back in Farmworld.

(Remember how her failure to pull this off almost got her eaten?)

And in the end, the resolution to both of these mirror dilemma was... kind of the same? Well, sort of. Fionnaworld now has a bit more of the Magic and Weirdness in it but it's not like Simon made Mainworld Ooo less wacky. But even with that extra bit of Multiverse Wackiness going on in Fionnaworld now... if the Normal Guy can get along among the strange and magical creatures

The Magical Cat can get along with all the normal and mundane people.

Sorry to be kinda shy and sending in anon, but I have some lyrics analysis that I haven't seen anyone speak of but I think are worth sharing, and I think you're account is perfect :D For example, in Polyphemus, I think what he says to Odysseus REALLY foreshadows what's going to happen with the suitors: "Time to drink your blood over where you stand" "Your life now is in my hand" "Before I'm done" "You will learn that it's not so fun to take" "You came to my home to steal" "But now you'll become my meal"

And if Jorge did it on porpous, I think he nailed it. (Might send some more later, byeeee love your blog so so much :D)

Ooo! That’s true, the lyrics do kind of match what will happen later with the suitors! It does draw a nice parallel between Polyphemus and Odysseus, versus Odysseus and the Suitors. In both cases someone invades another’s home, and eats their food, all without invitation. It’s highlights even more the change of Odysseus’ mentality, and shifts his role from the perpetrator to the victim, and then we get to see his response! Would Open Arms mentality Odysseus have reacted the same way as Ruthless Odysseus? Good catch!
