i feel terrible but heres the awkward thing. i didnt really care that much when i thought ruby was about to die. look the thing is- and i think ive been seeing a lot of this sentiment- is that theyre both stacked. theyre great casting. theyve got great chemistry. but at the end of the day we're not getting nearly enough episodes and the ones we are getting with them arent between the doctor and ruby in. or theres n ot enough of their dynamic thats explored properly. even in this one for most of the episode theyre separated. we just need... a a standard-adjacent episode. its too much trying to break the mould every single week without a form to return to or a precedent to set. i feel like if there was just more of them together driving it forward it would be soemthing more
