It is late, and I had a realization while I was looking for something else.

We don't know what Dorian's status is. At least not for sure. We don't know if he is safe and sound or not. Here's why:

Post-Trespasser we see Dorian in two additions: Tevinter Nights, Luck in the Gardens short story and the comic Deception.

Luck in the Gardens happens in 9:44-9:45. We don't have a set time frame on what year the story happens. The only story in Tevinter Nights we know the year of is Murder by Death Mages which happens during the main game of Inquisition post Skyhold, so 9:42.

Deception happens in 9:44. Mike Laidlaw confirms that the comic Knight Errant the comic that leads into Deception is happening in 9:44 post-Trespasser.

So as far as the timeline, we have three options here:

Deception (9:44) happens before Luck in the Gardens (9:45), meaning Dorian is last seen in Minrathous.

Deception (9:44) happens before Luck in the Gardens (9:44), Dorian is last seen in Minrathous.

Luck in the Gardens (9:44) happens before Deception (9:44), Dorian is last seen in Ventus.

If we go with the last option, Luck in the Gardens happening before Deception, then there is a chance that Dorian was last seen in Ventus.

Ventus, which was under siege by the rebelling Antaam. The rebelling Antaam that doesn't follow the Qun's rules about capturing a city. A city under siege that Dorian stays behind in to save who he can.

We have a chance that Dorian got stuck in Ventus. That he potentially got captured by the Antaam. We don't have a 100% on Dorian being okay. He could have escaped, and boy do I hope he did.

All I gotta say is:

So, Dorian, are you okay? Are you okay, Dorian? Dorian, are you okay? Will you tell us that you're okay?

diggia and marzia's relationship is like one of the funniest things to think about for me.... like: rabid dog marzia bezzecchi vs clueless diggia who will win? diggia isn't even aware there's beef 😭 he's just trying to be friendly and like. bond inside the team because he kinda feels awkward since he's not a vr46 cult member and thought going with marzia was the easiest/more feasable option since they knew eachother from civ moto3. while marzia heard a totally normal invite to go to dinner together and thought. is he trying to ask me out? because i'm a woman? he's trying to ask ME, marzia bezzecchi, out because he undermines me, after taking luca's PLACE? i'm going to rip his throath with my bare teeth and then suck his blood out of his carotid while he dies. most one sided beef in history. she looks dead inside in every single piece of promotional content with both riders vr46 puts out. dead eyes and fake ass smile she drops as soon as the cameras stop rolling. as soon as she's not obligated to stay in the room she flees the scene.

and diggia only makes it worse by awkwardly trying to bond with her. and marzia replies with like. fake smile. "sure". dead look in her eyes. murderous light in her pupil. teeth grinding. and diggia goes "cool" 😊. and marzia grinds her teeth more and keeps repeating in her head "i hate him i hate him i hate him" but at the end just treats him icily (and like. kinda mean but it's barely noticeable by somedoy who doesn't know her well well) and then badmouths him with cele mig and pecca

and marzia before the seat swap happened didn't even dislike diggia 😭. they where kinda friendly 😭😭. she just went ballistic after the percieved crime of him invading her home (truly learning from her master valentina). after a bit of time and some strong words from vale marzia kinda backs down and remembers that she actually doesn't dislike diggia... he's not that bad after all.... they might even get along actually...... while diggia remains clueless about everything and thinks they were getting along splendidly from the start.

(also at a certain point marzia has to spell it out to diggia that she's a lesbian... not that diggia was trying to hit on her, he was just completely clueless and kept making comment about guys) (clueless bisexual diggia... clueless about being bisexual and clueless in general)

Daed's both looking up in awe that he got questions and that one of them is a disco ball. :D Pure joy! And thank you, thank you! The questions are from here, from anyone curious. <3

🪩 - What was an achievement that your OC felt worthy of celebrating? Was it a personal victory or a big impact on everyone around them?

Daed leaving his folks. ✨🔥✨ His folks were a pair of con-artist grifters, and having a kid was always a means to an end. Easier schemes, more plausible deniability. When Daed was about ten, they decided to indocturine themselves into a local chapter of an anti-magic organization known as the Knights of Pandora, and they turned it into their personal cult.

And Daed left at sixteen. He broke into their personal stack, stole all their against-the-rules liquor, hot-wired their prized sports car and drove out of the compound like a bat out of hell. And then, he got drunk and lit the car on fire, because why not? :)

It definitely is more of a personal victory. His folks were a bit ...pissed Daed tried to destroy their legacy and so blatantly too! But he'd always been a bad egg so it was easy to spin a tale against him. Daed likes the moment tho. It's when he finally said 'no. I will not be like you two. I will not continue this path. We are not family anymore.' And he's never looked back. Best decision in his life.

(And the only reason adopting Oleander isn't this is because Daed doesn't see it as an achievement worth celebrating. Oly is his child in his eyes, and he'll do everything in his power to keep that child safe and happy, like a parent should.)

🔵 Blue- How would your OC spend a single day of interrupted peace? Where would they go or who would they be with?

Ha! Most of Daed's days are like this. Because of his *gestures above* childhood, he feels the more mundane aspects of life utterly fascinating and delightful. He loves going to diners and chatting with the wait staff, especially for breakfast! God, he loves breakfast. What a novelty. Day starts like that, always.

He loves grocery shopping and taking walks through parks. He loves taking silly cooking classes with 20-somethings and young spouses and the elder folks passing on their little tricks and tips. He got a silly job at an antique shop when he and Oly settled into Dead Leaves and he fully enjoys going to work, punching the clock, like a real adult. So quaint!

And most of that is because living in Dead Leaves with Oly is his most sincere dream. He always wanted to be a dad, be a silly house-husband and do the shopping and cooking and just have the most mundane life possible. But he kind-of always assumed his trauma would fuck up any child he raised, so it was a dream he buried deep.

Until he met Oleander, and Daed decided none of his hang-ups mattered. Oly needed someone to look after him and love him and protect me, and Daed was willing to be that person.

It would be nice to spend part of the day with Oleander too, like going to arcade or a cheap matinee, especially if it's horror! Oly loves bad horror movies! But all day is a bit much. Oly needs to spread his wings too, and there's plenty of people in meet and chat with in the city. Maybe he could play catch-up with one of his old friends that also escaped the Knights. Would be nice, but Daed isn't picky. Even seeing the sunset alone is nice. Because he's out, he's himself and he's honestly living his very best life. What a dream~~~
