my plans for the vm are as follows

get gentoo installed and working

get kde installed and working (maybe hyprland instead? i’ve been meaning to try out wayland again and hyprland seems like it’s matured a bit since last time i tried it)

get Firefox installed and working with my custom patch

figure out ccache and whatever other tricks can be used to make the builds go faster

figure out how to get packages from a binhost without screwing up my Firefox patches

okay so imagine you’re in a relationship and your partner suddenly drops off the face of the earth, and their sister admits to getting rid of them via major head injury so she could take their place in you guys’ start-up business instead, but you just kind of have to let her bc the higher ups say so

then about two months pass and suddenly your partner is back! and their weird sister was evidently telling the truth; they don’t remember anything about you or your shared business plans, and also they’ve got a ton of new friends and a new s/o in tow, and they’ve just finished killing your third business partner

so now the two of you are on opposite sides of a war and your (ex?)partner is actively hunting you and their sister down to stop the plan for world domination that they helped create!

what i’m saying is that gortash is essentially the hallmark movie love interest that got left behind, and i think he deserves some credit for being as normal as he is about it

God, I Have Some Questions (or Dawn AU which is far less of a mouthful) is about a young Donnie losing his way home and getting nabbed by a religious sect. they dont seem to mind that he's not exactly human, and in fact, keep telling him that everything he knows is completely untrue.

Basically, Don (Dawn) grows up in an extremely abusive cult and Deals With It.

Every single small peek into her his life is almost word for word my experience being raised in a similar cult... minus the mutants. Not all of the things discussed happened directly to me, but i was a witness to a lot until i started stepping more and more out of line. then i wasnt permitted to leave my room.

There was never a time that i believed in anything they said - i dont know how or why, but since i was small, i always questioned everything. i figured Donnie would behave similarly.

anyway, this is a way to work thru it with my FAVORITE PURPLE IDIOT :)

Omg- I thought that I had imagined this line of dialogue because I haven’t gotten it in my last playthroughs of Fallout 4!!!

But I found it after digging through Nicks game dialogue!!!

But now I have the question… How many secretaries DID walk out on Valentine during his career as a Detective in Diamond City? How many times has Nick come home after a long, hard case only to find his office completely empty and abandoned? That the person that he trusted with his beloved cases and work had just packed up and moved on?

Did he start telling himself to not get too attached to any hired help after this happened a few times? Did he start repeating to himself that his secretaries leaving him was nothing personal because they needed a consistent job to survive?

How well did that work in comforting him? Or did it still tug at his heartstrings a bit each time he thought about how many people once occupied that secretary’s desk?

Did Nick get a feeling that Ellie would be a different kinda gal from day one when he met her? Did he have an internal conflict to not dote on the quippy and spunky kid running his errands and setting up his appointments?

How many times did he walk into his office and expected Ellie to be gone? Did he always try to prepare himself for the heartbreak of retuning to yet another empty office, only to be surprised with the fact that Ellie was faithfully waiting for him?

How long did you think it took him to realize that Ellie would never leave him like that? That things were different now?

been thinking about the fact Wukong had to teach himself how to speak human and i have to ask. i HAVE to ask. did Macaque already know how to speak human by the time he met Wukong.

like. they definitely didn't meet until after that point. all scenes we've had of past!Macaque and past!Wukong interacting are definitely after Wukong went to the mainland and got his first immortality + the 72 transformations.

and it's seems like Wukong strictly only spoke human from that point onwards.

so i have to ask. when Macaque and Wukong first met, was Macaque just blindsided by this other monkey demon speaking what, to him, sounded like absolute fucking nonsense????

cause listen. listen. something about the idea of Wukong going "hello!!!" while Macaque just lets out the most confused monkey-chirp is so funny to me. the idea of there having been at least one interaction with some random person/demon where Wukong had to translate for Macaque is driving me a little nuts-

I feel like you would know this since you know SCU lore and game lore very well. When do you think that we can establish the existence of gun in the films? In the games they were before shadow was created but in the second film Walters said that it was newly formed but sonic 3 showed that it’s been around for a long time. What do you think that approach would be to this?

I think that it’s safe to say that G.U.N. was an already existing organization that went through changes since its creation. The need to be formed, as Walters shared in the second film, could have been G.U.N.’s reemergence after being retired for a while. I feel that this might make sense since the KNUCKLES Series confirmed that G.U.N. was still functioning, but under a different name.
