could you explain how to write the kc li's? am having trouble writing ronin and such, and you are one of my friends so am requesting your help - ronins pretty princess

N "explaining" how they write the love interests :D

So for starters, I will do it in a form of small notes? I'm not that good at explaining and I will maybe try to show some examples. I had a hard time too so I can understand why it can be hard.

Also there's not really a one correct way to write them, you can always take artistic liberties so I will focus more on giving their personalities based on what we see in the game.

Ronin - The Devil's Butcher

Oh, Ronin, Ronin, Ronin.

He is actually the easiest one to write, for me at least.

Ronin has a strong sarcastic personality, he speaks in riddles and wants to fuck with the player's mind.

He's main goal when he's the person who you're trying to woo in the game is to corrupt you, so it's adviced to make the reader be in the middle of said corruption or be corrupted, when you're kissing him in his ending the reader is already corrupted enough to love him: "Oh, I love it when you're rotten and mine [...]" he tells you that you are his fallen angel so to speak.

Ronin hates monotony and boredom, so the reader has to be interesting for him, or he will get bored and either leave or kill them.

Oh yeah, killing the reader. Ronin sees us taking his life, or him taking ours as the most romantic thing ever. So would he see us murdering for him, we're killers, our hands are stained with blood and that's all for him. Isn't this romantic?

Ronin is possessive in a way, he won't show jealousy, he's ruined you why would you try to leave him for someone else? You're his, you and he are well aware of it. But it doesn't change the fact that he would mark you and keep you on your toes just to make sure that you wouldn't think about leaving him.

Our man is touch starved, maybe he won't cuddle with you for two hour straight, but he will poke you to annoy you, play with your hair, wrap an arm around your shoulders etc. Small touched are also a form of physical touch.

Of course, not everything has to be happy, Ronin also might experience dark times. Gender dysphoria might get its way into his head. He may think of Ther and be a little bit in despair because of it, but don't fret, you don't have to put that in EVERY fanfic.

Ronin as we all know loves to bastardise Shakespeare, or sometimes drop a line from the Bible for shits and giggles.

His brand is being the Devil so the reader could stroke his ego by calling him the Devil in some ways.

Ronin wouldn't want the reader to be completely obsessed with him, to the extend when they breathe and live for him. With no personality or interests. Not only would they be just plainly boring, he would probably be annoyed with and feel perhaps guilty for making them into this mess.

If the MC dies or breaks up with Ronin in bad blood, he would be in despair, maybe there wouldn't be any tears, but it would show. More murders, getting tense or angry when your name is mentioned etc.

V - The Vigilante

Ah, my favourite batman. Well that's one way to explain V. He is like him, but he actually kills the beasts that stain our world.

He has a strong moral code, of course there are some loose crews like the one time when the player actually told him not go sell Ronin to the police. So with his strong moral code, the reader has to be someone who will not kill people Ronin style, their murders have to be for a reason, or the reader may be someone who doesn't kill people and is "pure" in a sense.

He is a gentleman - the Brit in him i showing lol - so it is a good idea to write him as such. Gentle kisses on the back of readers hand, opening door of them etc.

V is an animal lover, but he would deny that of course, so it would be great if the reader was fond of animals too.

He would be protective of us, make sure to keep us safe from danger and keep a tab on the people who are in our life and seem too suspicious for his liking.

His love language is "acts of service" so maybe getting rid of someone dangerous for you, helping you with hard tasks or chores, he would do anything that would be help of you and wouldn't cross the lines of his morale.

He may appear cold and distant, but you can see his love in a soft and warm gaze, gentle smiles or small touches here and there. He's like a black cat basically.

V is supportive of the reader, with their hobbies or work. He would be ready to listen to the reader's yap about some ideas for a new book they want to write.

Misaki - The Assassin

Misaki, they are a silly goof most of the time. They would definitely use genz and gen alpha terms. Expect them to call the reader "Pookie" or something along the lines as their pet name.

Whenever they come to visit the reader or the reader visits them, they have a small gift prepared - their love language is gifts giving.

They are Asian so the reader shouldn't hate on their parents just because Misaki has to send them money to help them. Asian families are uh more complicated so mingling into that would be seen as crossing a line.

Misaki is anxious, they fear disappointing someone or get extremely stressed with their "jobs" so the reader should support them.

Misaki is open for anything, you want to become a cannibal? "Go for it babe, become the maneater!" They would be so hyper about it or maybe joke if the idea is too unhinged.

They are a very caring person, so if you are troubled they will go out of their way to help you, and be there for you.

It could take a while for them to open up 100%, but after opening themselves about their poor living situation and family issues, it definitely will be easier.

She seems like someone who would send you random memes or pics they took or found and say smh like 'it reminds me of you".

Maria de la Rosa - The Angel

Yes, the maneating perfectionist. She's married to her work, but the reader would be able to help her with this issue, like how they helped her with that motherfu- Finian! Just don't pressure her to change immediately, it takes time.

She loves quality time, it's very important to her. So just watch some movie with her, go on a date and be there with her. And maybe let her snuggle up to you when she needs it.

You have to accept Ronin as your supervisor and biggest enemy at the same time, if you fuck up something with Angel, she would let it slide, but Ronin? Hell no, that's his ex gf and bestie, if you hurt her, he will make sure that Angel get rid of you as a way to heal.

Angel would promote you on her social media, your book or your cafe? She left a honest - usually positive - opinion about it and her fans would just be your biggest donators.

Angel isn't possessive or obsessive, but she can be insecure. Are you okay with dating her when she has such a busy schedule? Are you fine with the paparazzi? Just be there for her and reassure her about everything.

She's the definition of "people pleaser". Her friend has a shitty menager? He's gone. Her fans didn't like her new video? She will never do something like that again, unless you convince her that it's really okay or that she should continue to do what she wants. She's stubborn that's for sure, but hey, small steps are important!

Ofc it's albit more complicated than this, most of the things I write are taken from my interpretation of the game, Rose's tumbrl posts or other fanfics, take inspo if you're unsure of something, or ask others for their opinions. :D

A progression of my fandoms from early childhood to now (I just think it’s funny how I slowly went from typical girly-girl interests to being a theatre kid/geek 😂):

Peppa Pig - Since I was a toddler, basically, this show taught me to speak

Disney Princesses (specifically Belle) - From the time I gained sentience to around the time I turned 12, Disney princesses were my favourite thing, but whilst I still have a fondness for them now, they’re not my favourite thing anymore

Jessie/Liv and Maddie/KC Undercover - From the ages of I’d say 10 to 12, they were my favourite Disney channel sitcoms, they made me laugh so hard and even though I watch them much now, I still really enjoy them if I’m feeling nostalgic

Lego Ninjago - Found it on Netflix and got hooked, can’t remember how old I was, maybe 7-8? My time as a fan of this didn’t last that long, but it did teach me how to spell the word ‘nephew’ (I watched everything with subtitles to help with my spelling)

Descendants - I distinctly remember being a mega fan as soon as the first film came out, I was 8 and I’ve seen every single piece of Descendants media and read one of the books, the fourth movie disappointed me when I did a nostalgia watch

Ever After High - Discovered this show on Netflix shortly after Descendants, remember loving it and being devastated when it ended but can’t remember exactly how old I was

Musical theatre - I don’t remember exactly how old I was, but the day I watched a Watch Mojo countdown of the best musical villain songs in the back of the car whilst on holiday and googled Heathers the musical’s plot, I knew in my heart that I’d never go back… I was definitely far too young though

Team Starkid/Hatchetfield - Long story short, I discovered them in lockdown when I was 13 whilst looking for ‘slime tutorials’ of other musicals, and I’ve been hooked ever since

Marvel/MCU - I watched Wandavision during lockdown when I was 13 so I could talk about a popular show, actually enjoyed it then fell down a rabbit hole of researching and watching everything from the MCU, and I still love it

Chucky - I found the Kill Count YouTube channel in 2021 - I was 14 - and thought the Chucky movies were so fun, and so I wrote some of my first ever fanfic about it (I’m sure some of my friends here remember 😅)

Doctor Who - Blame David Tennant, I developed a major crush on him around the end of 2022, and I decided to watch the 2023 Doctor Who specials with him and Catherine Tate, then my mother and I watched every episode starting from Eccleston up to Gatwa, now we’re on Pertwee in the Classic Era having skipped half of Hartnell and pretty much all of Troughton 😅

That’s the one thing I don’t understand - like it’s totally okay to dislike a ship and the reasons can be varied or as simple as you’d like. No one really needs a reason to dislike something I get that and that’s why the appropriate tags exist.

But like I’ve seen some of the things being thrown around both around BT and BE and I’m like okay guys shipping one thing over another doesnt make you better and being actively mean about it isn’t gonna change anything.

Why can’t we just enjoy what each fandom got? Buddie had some nice (if heartbreaking) scenes and BT had a cute date. I am new to 911 but like I’m surprised by how mean and almost like condescending some people have gotten and how quick they’re to call out one fandoms behavior without being like friend we are also doing that.

And I was in the kc fandom lol things got wild there.

Oooof sorry for the rant. Things just seem really intense since last night and I might have to do some unfollowing.

Assuming were talking the Klaroline kc fandom, I was in that one too :)

And maybe my memory isn't the best, but I don't remember things getting this vicious all the time either.

I do think fandom has changed in the sense that morality has been attached to shipping in such a weird way. Instead of shipping just being a personal preference, its become 'right' or 'wrong', or 'homophobic' or 'racist' or 'infantile' or 'predatory' to ship or not ship certain couples. And I just don't understand that.

I ship Buddie.

I'm pretty neutral on BuckTommy.

Why do I prefer one over the other? I almost always prefer ships with deep emotional bonds, who see something in each other no one else sees. I have never been a rarepair person, or a multishipper because my personal preference is for this deep emotional bond between characters.

That doesn't make my preference better or worse than anybody else's. Its just a personal preference. The same as I prefer the colour blue.

Other people might prefer couples with intense sexual chemistry, or who tease each other a lot, or who argue and have lots of passion, etc. Some people have a favourite character and ship them with everyone.

All of these are valid preferences.

Did I find the BuckTommy date in last night's episode a bit awkward? Yes. Was it because I'm a judgmental homophobic asshole? No. Daddy kink jokes wasn't my favourite thing, but I was fine with it. Two people in an adult relationship can flirt and and be kinky and that's totally fine by me. I have read and enjoyed way more explicit things in fanfic.

Personally (again just my opinion not a fact), I just found that the tone of the date and the joke fell flat as part of the episode overall. It was trying to break some of the tension and it didn't work for me.

Also, I tend to put more value on emotional connection in establishing relationships, so for me personally I would have preferred the conversation to stay in the more vulnerable place it started - Tommy offering Buck support due to Bobby's injury. If they had boned over having having difficult dads, or if Tommy had reached out and held Buck's hand to offer comfort, that would have been more meaningful to me, as opposed to the Daddy kink joke.

Again, nothing wrong with a Daddy kink. I too think Tommy calling Buck 'pretty boy' or 'good boy' in bed is hot.

Just kinky sex doesn't make for a meaningful relationship for me and I love Buck and I want him to have a deep meaningful relationship.

Since I haven't seen that with Tommy yet, I'm neutral on the ship.

I don't know why fandom has decided that who you ship or don't ship is some reflection of your moral values or lack thereof, but as someone who's fandom old, I find it weird and distasteful.

What people enjoy in fiction is not a reflection of who they are as a person at all times!

I don't generally block on unfollow people in fandom because I am very good at just letting things go and not spending too much time on things that upset me, but I have unfollowed people in the 911 fandom because of this overt judgement and moralization and (let's be honest) shit stirring, that some people engage in.

Fandom is supposed to be fun.

Let's make fandom fun again.

Fanfic Writer Friday: As someone working at Disneyland, imagine that you're able to take your MCs at any Disney Park you want. Which locations and rides at Disneyland/Disney World/other Disney Parks do you reckon would you be their favourite(s) to visit or have fun in?

Oh gosh! That sounds like fun!! ^.^

Well, considering I work on the Disneyland Resort side of things, I'll stay focused on that one for my answers, since I know it best and because honestly it would probably take forever going through everything Disney-related.

Carewyn I think would enjoy the classic rides in Fantasyland like the Storybookland Canal Boats, Alice in Wonderland, and Snow White, but my headcanon is that her favorite kind of rides are ones that simulate flight, so her favorites would be Soarin' Around the World, Star Tours, and Peter Pan's Flight. (The first and last ones in particular I reckon her other half Orion would really enjoy riding with her too.)

Jacob would be all about the thrill rides, honestly -- give him Fastpasses for the Incredicoaster or Space Mountain and he'll have a great time.I could actually see him liking Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run too, just because he'd be able to "steer" the ship.

Erik? LMAO. He is the hugest Star Wars nerd on the planet, so you'd best believe he'd love Star Tours and the new Galaxy's Edge expansion, especially Rise of the Resistance. (Which honestly is the best ride Disneyland's added since Star Tours, if you ask me.) Sorry, Roxy @mira-shard, but you'll be stopping to try both the blue and green milk and taking pictures with Stormtroopers and/or anyone else from Star Wars you come across -- those are non-contestable. 😂

Ana loves every ride with a story, so her favorites are not just the dark rides centered on movies like The Little Mermaid and Pinocchio, but especially rides like the Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean that sort of create their own story within the ride. It might not be dragons, but I could see Ana and Charlie @drinkyoursoupbitch riding the Dumbo ride together too, bc honestly, cute!!. 💗

Jackson would be good with a wide variety of rides (he'd absolutely be pressuring his friends to try out Matterhorn and Guardians of the Galaxy with him at some point), but I could see him really enjoying the shows first and foremost. The vast majority of which aren't open just yet, sadly. ;~; He would especially enjoy going to the Hyperion Theater and watching World of Color, Fantasmic!, the fireworks, and parades with his precious Montelimar @cursebreakerfarrier. You can best expect you'll be dropping by the winery in California Adventure to try some fine wines, too.

Bat honestly would enjoy the people-watching more than any of my other MC's. He'd love just taking a break, sitting back on a park bench, and watching all of the kids running around with their parents, laughing and chatting and throwing tantrums and the like, and enjoying the smells from the churro and turkey leg carts. I think his favorite thing to do would be to go on park tours, especially ones with a focus on history or Imagineering. Attraction-wise, I could see Bat enjoying Soarin' Around the World and the rocking cars on the Pixar Pal-A-Round Ferris Wheel, and he'd probably like all the "competitive" things like Toy Story Mania even if he'd always lose to his friends -- but I could also see him liking to take the Disneyland Railroad around the park with his pal Grim. 🚂🥰

And finally Ru...oh god. This kiddo will be taking pictures EVERYWHERE. You shall not escape, Galen, Siobhan @kc-and-oc, and Estrid @thatravenpuffwitch -- Ru will want to get your picture in every cool place with every single character you come across, and they will make sure the pictures are memorable, damn it. I could also see Ru loving the outdoor nighttime entertainment, especially World of Color and the Paint the Night parade, even if they'd be sad that photography really can't capture how pretty they are.

I’m on spring break right now and the best part of it has been getting to read a new chapter of “In The Dancing Of Fire, In The Curve Of Old Bones” each day. Tobirama and Itachi are probably my two favourite Naruto characters and getting to see them together is great.

The whole thing kind of makes me think of those two KC Green comics with the dog in the burning house? Like all of the other characters are the dog in the first one like “this is fine” as all of these horrific things are happening

And then Tobirama shows up and is like the dog in the second comic like “No!!!! Oh my god!!!! This is not fine!!”

I live for Itachi (and Sasuke too) finally getting actual help from an adult who has their well-being in mind and doesn’t have some kind of ulterior motive. And also for Tobirama realizing what Danzo has done and just being like “go to jail. Go directly to jail. Do not pass go. Do not collect $200 or any more children for your child soldier program.” Love that he didn’t even hesitate or be like “well we have to make a case first”. It was just. Immediate. Love to see it.

I really hope that Tobirama can get Itachi out of the Akatsuki and back into Konoha soon (and also maybe into some therapy while he’s at it). Also hope that we get to see what happened to Naruto after he left the library soon as well!

Anyway I probably sound deranged but every time I get a notification that you posted another chapter I go “YES! YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Out loud. This is like my favourite Naruto fic right now. Thank you!!!!

The burning house meme is 100% Konoha 10 for 10 and Tobirama is not having it ghdufgndg. Danzo has done more than enough and there's no way he's getting time to send orders out before he's carted away. Tobirama could probably write a book titled "The Failings of a Pathetic Leader" to sell based solely on Danzo's screw ups. As for Itachi and Sasuke, I completely agree. I live for them getting the adult support they need! They deserve so much love and support that they never got. Same thing for Naruto, Neji, Hinata, and so many others. Like damn, their village truly screwed up in so many aspects. And thank you for taking the time to read!

C: What character do you identify with most?

On TVD, probably Caroline but I think she is (ignoring post season 4/5) the most relatable to most women. She and I have a shared neuroticism, love of organisation and control. However, according to a google search, I have the same personality type as Bonnie (INFJ - though I’m more Ambivert than either I or E) which makes a lot of sense to me but they really never brought out her full potential so I think it would be hard for anyone to fully identify. In the broader world of fiction, though, I’m Lisa Simpson. My mum says it all the time and even that one test puts me as highest correlated with her.

D: Is there a song or a playlist to associate with Psychedelic Kicks?

It’s called To The Beautiful You (아름다운 그대에게) and it’s by Wonder Girls. It’s the reason this fic even exists and the last official release of my first ever K-Pop artist (I’m fine, everything is fine 😫). I made a fake playlist for it though here ✨

I really enjoy just the almost moments and there’s plenty of them in PK but it’s so fun to write it like I know all the readers will be suffering but it’s just...the d r a m a

R: Are there any writers (fanfic or otherwise) you consider an influence?

@she-walked-away (Unexpected Exposure + Dirty Little Secret) @galvanizedfriend (We’ll Always Have New Orleans) @supernutellastuff (Picturesque) are definitely the most influential simply because a year ago almost to the very day, I had been considering deleting this account but reading and re-reading (in the case of she-walked-away’s stories) their fics really inspired me to return to writing. It’s crazy to think that if not for them, would I be writing right now? I went through a hiatus that was almost 2 years and I just kinda disappeared and I didn’t write more than a couple thousand words and now this year alone, I’ve written near 200,000 words. So a big thank you is in order for them ❤️

U: Share three of your favorite fic writers and why you like them so much.

I’m just going to gush more about the three already mentioned:

she-walked-away: This writer is just a master at making drama come to life. It never feels forced or over the top and the dialogue revolving conflict feels so natural and realistic. I have read Dirty Little Secret...too many times just because it is such an easy, enjoyable read. I can read it in one day and be like well, ok let’s go back to the beginning and start again! Unexpected Exposure, is my favourite, however. I don’t read it often but it’s because when I do, I really like to savour every single scene. I always bring it up, but there’s this scene where they’re in a club dancing with each other and the sexual chemistry is just through the freaking roof! This could be a non-KC story and I would still regard it as a favourite.

galvanizedfriend: I found this story in the tumblr tags last year. I had finished classes a month before I was set to go home so I had a lot of free time and just ended up re-reading a bunch of fics. When I finished all my usual favourites, I looked in the tumblr tags and stumbled upon We’ll Always Have New Orleans. I am such a picky reader ESPECIALLY when it comes to dialogue and tended to prefer human AUs over canon-divergent stories but this story just blew me away (and now here I am, writing a canon-divergent story). Yokan writes so beautifully and I am in awe of how much she can write in such little time with such quality. The story isn’t available any longer and I will always respect her decision to make it so but from all that I can recall, the characterisation was just wonderful. (spoilers) It honestly broke my heart when they reunite and there’s just the gut-wrenching realisation that for her it had been a day or so but for him it had been like 3 months. I CANNOT EXPRESS THE LEVEL OF GUILT I FELT VICARIOUSLY THROUGH CAROLINE. Heartbreak aside, the romance is so fucking gorgeous and well-built, never forced, always well-timed.

supernutellastuff: I, like Yokan’s story, found Picturesque when I was done re-reading my usuals and I think I found it on a klarolinemagazine list for friends with benefits. This was a story that literally had me like ????? how had I never seen this story before?????? Like I said, I’m picky as fuuuuck and I just fell into this story and it swallowed me whole. The friendships in this story really make it come to life and the first scene (spoilers) where Klaus and Caroline are smoking together, and he’s like well it’ll just be us two left - I SCREAM the chemistry was already overflowing. This story builds upon their relationship gradually and it really feels like two freaking adults in a weird entanglement. It’s not filled with random plot twists and it’s not so true to life that it becomes boring, it is just the perfect balance.

X: A character you enjoy making suffer.

There isn’t really any one character in particular (Damon cough) but I kind of enjoy making them all suffer in some way but mainly because it’s I know the reader will suffer? And if that’s not sadistic, I don’t know what is lmao

If you didn’t already know: I’m liveblogging the whole of the new remastered Offal Hunt, and you can find the eleven previous chapters liveblogged somewhere in here. Without further ado, however, let’s just jump right in to the First Fanfic That Ever Made Me Cry, Because It’s Written By Two Literal Hellhounds,

JUST KIDDING I’m gonna very quickly reread my own liveblog of chapter eleven because I forgot what happened. Brb.

Aaaaaaaaaaand it was some gay shit. Back to now.

The bad news is I can’t really recall what has or has not been, like, ~properly revealed~ yet, so I’m gonna err on the side of caution and 👈😎👈* even for things that MIGHT be known because. Look. I don’t remember what happens in my own fanfic let alone someone else’s. Still, ONWARDS.

Their collective appetite was a damp stain on the air itself—shared knowledge that the only thing standing between them and the Witch was time. They lined the cavern like rows of rotted teeth, black and crooked, and Cinder was in the hungry gullet, drenched in bloodlust. 

I KNOW I’ve said it in previous liveblogs but this version of Offal Hunt is very much a visual treat. I mean, it’s of no surprise, but still! It’s also Aesthetically Slappin and is also entirely up my alley, which is why so many of my braincells are even devoted to this whole AU anyway,

Cinder’s teeth were crawling from her gums in a bid to escape, and she bit down to pin them in place.

THE HORROR AESTHETIC!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!! anyway I was warned this prose was nightmarish but good news for y’all I’m Here 4 It.

“Something—” The words were roaches wriggling up her throat. “Something’s wrong with me.” 

You know, wasn’t sure how this chapter was gonna go because we’re slowly starting to lance off the rails in bits and pieces, but OOOOOOOOH I LOVE IT. This writing! This style! Also Cinder what the shit have you done this time.

If she fought Glynda now, she would die, her rotting flesh bursting at the intimation of force.

I’m not gonna keep saying how good this is. But. I’m saying it here. It’s good.

I realised the music I’ve been listening to for this has been entirely too upbeat, so I’ve slapped on the soundtrack to The Witch, because what else am I meant to listen to if not the soundtrack of my favourite horror film of all time? Anyway.

So she meets Glynda in the drizzling rain and it’s all very Atmospheric, if I do say so myself, which this bumper line of feels:

Outside, Glynda lurked just down the incline, more presence than person.

That’s what we call a big oof.

She bit, “What was that? It almost sounded like I didn't deserve to get thrown through a window.”

Cinder, bad news, babe: I think you might just always deserve to get thrown through a window.

It was the first time she had ever seen a Witch so fully entrenched in her own soul.

Hoo. H o o.

It took longer for Glynda to respond than it had before. She looked to be chewing on it, as if trying to force the words into shape within her own mouth. Eventually, she said, “Witches. Where did you hear about them?”

The snare pulled taut. Cinder smiled wearily to herself, privately in the dark.

H  O  O.

I also know I’ve said this before too, but Cinder in this version is just. Hhh. So fascinating. Her internal conflict is absolutely Juicy. Except it’s the overripe sort of juicy that makes you go ‘uh-oh’ when u see it u kno the kind.

Nausea struck her square in the gut, made her legs go weak and tremor-struck, and she staggered back, away from Glynda, bending over herself. She wouldn’t be sick, she’d told herself, she wouldn’t, she wouldn’t—

Did y’all know I have emetophobia? This whole bit ends up being a massive mood because feeling nauseous is Panic Attack Central for me. The more you know!

For a moment, it was as though Cinder didn’t even recognize him. This was someone else. Something else. A nightmare dredged up from dreams and spilled into this world, bleeding every sort of fear at the edges.

You know I haven’t spotted a fingerguns moment yet but I think it’s ‘cause I’m so enthralled by this. Oh my GOD Glynda what did you DO. Also wait. Waaaaaait wait wait.

WAIT OH MY GOD I GET IT NOW. OH MY GOD. MY BRAINCELL CLICKED.

Softly, Cinder asked: “Is this… Do you feel this?” Hati blinked slowly. “Always?” He dipped his head. Cinder’s chest wrenched.

Oh my god though holy shit. She’s not sick it’s Glyn-- oh MAN this is SUCH AN IMPROVEMENT I can like. FEEL diesel and kc going ‘wait no wait it should go like this actually’. Of COURSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I feel smarter having literally read this bit for no particular reason. Also this is actually a good like little theory bit abt Stuff that I Can’t Say but. but yeah.

1. What was the first fandom you got involved in?

Heroes of Olympus !! Yup I started writing fanfic for the HoO fandom.

2. What is your latest fandom?

The Hunger Games. Right now I'm writing with a Hunger Games OC <kinda oc kinda just merged fandoms>

3. What is the best fandom you’ve ever been involved in?

This is hard, I think HoO, just because people interacted a lot with my writing. I love the AOS fandom but not a lot of people comment.

4. Do you regret getting involved in any fandoms?

Kane Chronicles. I only write stuff for it for like 2 months, and now I have no inspiration for it. Yet a lot of people keep asking me to write more.

5. Which fandoms have your written fanfiction for?

Heroes of Olympus, Percy Jackson, Hunger Games, Agents of SHIELD, and Kane Chronicles. I can't think of anything else.

Honestly I just went "I want to rewatch Hunger Games and read the books" and next thing I know I'm writing OC fanfics about them.

Shield is my current fandom and I think the few people who do comment really leave long meaningful comments instead of small things.

Yes. 2 fics. Horus' Heir, and Ocean's Twins. Neither are finished and I hate how I left them but don't have the effort to finish them.

From the Rubble. It's a AU version of season 5 episode 22 and I love it because it challenges me to have to look up things and is emotional and angsty.

24. What fic do you desperately need to rewrite or edit?

So I am rewriting one right now. *From the Rubble.* Also I want to rewrite some of my WIPs and finish them.

25. What’s your most popular fanfic?

A Heroes of Olympus dabbles collection fic on wattpad with 106k views.

26. How do you come up with your fanfic titles?

I have NO clue. I just think if random ideas till something sticks.

27. What do you hate more: Coming up with titles or writing summaries?

Summaries. Because I want to have something catching to make people read, without spoiling things.

28. If someone were to draw a piece of fanart for your story, which story would it be and what would the picture be of?

I would LOVE a sketch of From the Rubble. With Jemma by his beside, where he's asleep or awake and they're looking at his x-ray. Or when he's in a wheelchair and yeet.

29. Do you have a beta reader? Why/Why not?

I have one for From the Rubble, Bella. Just so I can make sure it's good and emotional and flows.

30. What inspires you to write?

A lot of things. My fandoms. Prompts. Au ideas I think of etc.

31. What’s the nicest thing someone has ever said about your writing?

That I could write an episode of SHIELD. I cried.

32. Do you listen to music when you write or does music inspire you? If so, which band or genre of music does it for you?

I do. I have different playlists for characters. *Some are my OCs, some are canon* and I'll listen to it when writing about that character.

I try and challenge myself to write all. But more my One Shots become multi chapter and my multi chapters become huge epics 😂

23,764 words and counting for my fic From the Rubble, and I'm only on chapter 3. I probably have longer ones on wattpad but idk. Also

35. Do you write drabbles? If so, what do you normally write them about?

I usually find dialogue prompts and write a drabble based on it when I'm in a writers block rut. Usually Fitzsimmons though.

36. What’s your favourite genre to write?

I love writing angst. Whoops.

Usually third person, but when I am doing more emotional based things first. Basically if there's action, third. If its little action and mostly emotion firt.

Both. I usually write canon character but try and expand on OCs on occasion.

How fast I can write. I can usually write 5+ pages or more in an hour if I'm really focused.

I struggle with revising and editing because I get excited to share my work.

From the Rubble. Because it's an idea I'm committed to so I am putting a lot of effort into it. I'm making myself edit it a lot and writing longer chapters. I think it's the best I've done.

Ao3. I hardly use tumblr and fanfiction.net confuses me and I forgot it existed.

I try to! I know how important they are to writers so if I like the fic I try and say something about it. Even if it's small.

I love when people share my work with others. Comments mean so much to me and the more comments I get the more dedicated I am to a fic.

Um I read HOO and had to wait for the next book. No one I knew liked it so I started looking for things relating to it, like edits. Stumbled on fanfiction and thought "I like writing. I'll try this."

I hate when I work really hard on a fic and no one really tells what the think. And if I get a comment its "update." Because I want to know how my reading affected you. I also love being able to change different things I don't like in my favorite show 😂

Top 5 Books you’ve liked and why

1: The entirety of the ‘Lorien Legacies’ series by Pittacus Lore: despite this probably not being the best books series ever, it remains one of my all time favourites because it makes me so, so happy. The characters were good, I liked all the magic and aliens and shit, and the last paragraph of Revenge of Seven is what ignite my love of my favourite trope. I probably read the series at least once or twice a year bc I love it and it’s really nostalgic for me. 

2: The ‘Maximum Ride’ series by James Patterson: again, another probably-not-so-great-in-terms-of-quality series, but one that I fell in love with. The plot has more holes than Swiss cheese and logic has long been thrown out the window but it was a good series and also gives me big nostalgia. 

3: Literally any boom by Rick Riordan: need I really say anything here? PJO, HoO, KC, MC and ToA are all fucking amazing, go read them, enough said. 

4: Simon vs The Homosapiens Agenda: Good book, nice book, lgbtq+, simon is my smol bean child, I love, 10/10 would recommend. 

5: The ‘Legend’ series by Marie Lu: really, really good, go read it, it’s awesome.

— Some of my favorite fanfic tropes are time travel/loop, secret relationships, and soulmates. For KC specific it's traveling the world together, pre-canon, human!Caroline (which ties with pre-canon more often than not) and I think that's it (?)

— In canon! And honestly just the in-canon time periods like 10th century, 1800s NOLA, or 1920s Chicago.

— So for human AUs: Royalty, Celebrities, fake/pretend relationships (which ties a lot with celebrities but it's also amazing on its own), and roommates or neighbors.

— I love retellings of the Hades and Persephone myth and it'd be awesome to see a KC-fied version of it.

— I honestly consider post-canon any time in the future that ignores anything after s4 canon lol

— Honestly with soulmate bonds I don't have a specific, if it says the word soulmate I eat it up. Since you said you were leaning more towards fluff I feel like if you were to choose to write soulmates then have it be more about bringing them together instead of forcing them. So for example a soulmate mark, like you know they're your soulmate and they are literally perfect for you, but the mark itself isn't making you be with them.
