I got a referral last week to see a sleep medicine doctor because I’ve been feeling extra drowsy for several months now.

As someone who has insomnia, I’m used to feeling relatively tired.

But the way I’ve been feeling is something else entirely.

I doze off, I need naps, I sometimes nap during my lunch instead of eating.

It has been awful.

I’m waiting to get a sleep study done.

Last Friday, I got sent home because I fell asleep at my desk. If it happens again, I’ll get fired.

I should have asked for my referral sooner.

Moral of the story is seek help before a problem gets out of control.

One of the best things that’s happened this year is my natural hair journey.

When I was younger, I hated my hair and my hair texture.

I was so jealous of girls with long, straight hair.

I wanted to have a looser curl pattern.

I started out with getting twists, but now I’m wearing it natural to give my scalp a break.

I get my hair wet or damp and then I add some moisturizers to my style.

When it dries, my curls are still defined!

I’ve never embraced my natural hair like this before!

He’s my favorite Met of all time so of course I’m crying. 😭

Even though I clock in at 6:45 AM, 11:00 AM still feels so early to have my lunch break.

Now I’m starving at 4:30 PM like an elderly person. 😂

How do morning people exist happily??

My entire day feels off track by waking up at 5:30 AM.

Like I can’t function that early.

I love getting off at 4 PM, but I hate starting work at 7 AM. 😩

I’m always nervous the night before I start a new job.

I know the first day is mostly orientation paperwork, getting my log-ins, etc.

Working part-time wasn’t bad, but I need benefits so I’m happy my new role is full-time.

My new job is in the same building as my old one, but I’m on the second floor now.

The lunch room is on the first floor.

I’m hoping I don’t have to run into this guy who I used to work with.

He’s such an asshole and he’s fake.

He also said something racist to one of our team leads.

I’m going to act like I don’t see him if he tries talking to me.

Despite doing a ton of writing this year, I haven’t finished many works.

I just go from one WIP to another.

It makes me want to write some ficlets based on some prompts so I can feel accomplished by completing something.
