If you're only commenting on a fic to ask for an update or worse, to be passive-aggressive about wanting an update, then please do both yourself and the writer a favor and don't comment at all.

Saying things like "Can't wait for the next update!" as part of a comment about how you enjoyed the chapter is one thing, but just going into the comments and being like "Where's the update?" or "You haven't finished writing the next chapter yet?" or something similar is not only rude, but also I ASSURE you it only serves to make the writer anxious about writing at all.

Fic writers are not content creators. We're not robots. We're real people with careers, families, and other irl responsibilities. Writing is something I do in my thirty minutes before I go to bed to wind down from the day. Whatever I want to write that evening is what ends up getting written.

So by making me anxious and putting pressure on me to update a fic, especially in that passive-aggressive way that so many people do, all you've ensured is that when I open up my folder that evening to see what I feel like writing, my eyes will completely skip over that WIP that I got the rude comment on that day because I Feel Bad about it and now I don't want to even look at it.

So please, just follow the golden rule of "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."

Aemond is sure he would save himself a lot of trouble if he simply threw Lucerys in a cell and made sure to lose the fucking key. Perhaps he could simply make his rooms the cage and tie Lucerys to the end of his bed. Like a dog, rope around his neck. He brings his face up close then, looking down at his nephew, approaching him until their lips are barely inches away and Lucerys can feel his breath when Aemond speaks. “You’re not going to wed any of the useless fucking knights, ladies nor squires that will come crawling to King's Landing to ask for your rotten hand in marriage.” Aemond is a prisoner of his own desires, but he basks in the knowledge of sharing his depraved enclosure with the man who caged him there in the first place. If he’s a captive of his disgusting hunger then he shall not rot alone, for his nephew will be next to him in this all-consuming cell.

I've seen one anon ask abot a ritual and it sparked a creativity light in my head (because you said you're burnt out) : What if ritual would be named Hellfire and it'd be taken from secret notes made by Eddie? And what if all his D&D campaigns (and tickling sessions from other fanfics) were just a secret plan (a training) for this exact moment? And at the beginning of ritual Steve could say something like 'A song of your ribs shall now bring you back to us' (as a hint for laugh). I hope I helped 😉😊

I really appreciate you going through the trouble to flesh out this scenario on my behalf, but I just haven’t felt inspired to write for stranger things for a while now. It’s nothing against y’all or the show itself, it’s just been so long in between seasons that the passion has fizzled out. & I’ve written fics for it in the past that I wasn’t really happy with or didn’t enjoy writing just to fill a prompt. I’ve said multiple times that I don’t feel like writing for this fandom right now, & that still stands & probably won’t change until after the new season drops
