Bucky Barnes A-Z Fluff Alphabet!

Feel free to send in more requests for Bucky! Please think about "liking" and reblogging! These things take time. Also, I included a lot of 1940s Bucky as a comparison.

A - Affection (how do they show affection to their s/o)

Bucky has always been physically affectionate, but this changed after escaping his time in Hydra captivity. He's slowly beginning to experience positive touches again and quickly discovered how touch-starved he is, so physical touch is a significant way he shows affection, but there are days when he'll request not to be touched. He tries to be encouraging and complimentary, but he feels like it comes across as awkward and stilted. He'll try for quality time, but he does worry if he's overstaying his welcome. However, he does become less anxious as time goes on.

B - Best Friend (what are they like as a best friend?)

Look at Steve, for example! He's loyal to a fault. He will put his friend's well-being way beyond his own. He considers himself less of a decent friend than before, but he's wrong. He's just as great a friend as he used to be.  He's just as loyal and self-sacrificing. He will drop everything the moment you need help. The only reason he is ever distant is because he doesn't believe he's worthy of friendship, and his anxiety and depression get in the way. He will always doubt himself, but again, it improves in time.

C - Cuddling (do they like to cuddle? And how would they do it?)

Yes, physical touch with those he trusts is a soothing balm for him. He's always loved it when someone played with his hair, or he could hold hands, place an arm around his partner's waist - he loves it all, so loving to cuddle is really no surprise. He occasionally doesn't want to be touched, and that space is important to him, but otherwise, he'd be happy to be cuddled basically any time. It doesn't matter what position - he loves them all, but his favorite is lying on his back with your head on his chest.

D - Domestic (do they want to settle down? How good are they at cooking and cleaning)

In the 40s, he was expected to settle down at some point and probably would have in some form after the war. He still feels as though he has these expectations today, but it's more of a ghost memory than anything else. He'd be surprised that someone wants that with him - unless it's Steve. If it's Steve, he's not surprised at all and would consider it a continuation of their lives in Brooklyn. With a new partner, he can be convinced to settle down; he just wants to be sure that it's what you want. He knows how to clean and can cook simple meals, as we see in Romania. In the 30s and 40s, it was very much bachelor food like canned soup and a relatively clean, if not bare, apartment. Bucky can be a combination of messy and neat. It depends on his mental health. However, his residence is so devoid of decor that it's hard to make it messy. (This is seen with the comics as well.) He does improve when you move in with him. He enjoys cooking now in comparison to the 40s.

E - Ending (if they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

He's very quiet but very gentle and kind about it. He doesn't expect you to understand why, and he is hard on himself for breaking it off. He is more likely to break it off because of his own self-doubt, but he does have boundaries that, if broken - he will break it off. He expects you to hate him afterward and understands if you do, but his mind will not change.

F - Fiancé (how do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

In the 40s, Bucky loved dating around - he wasn't a himbo, but he did enjoy pursuing different people. He didn't want to settle down yet - unless it was with Steve, which was something he didn't want to think about logistically. However, he doesn't take commitment for granted nowadays and realizes how valuable it can be. He's not sure about marriage as it's nothing he ever really thought about outside of his mother reminding him he "should" get married, but if it feels right and it's discussed, he might be convinced. 

G - Gentle (how gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

Bucky is very methodological physically and emotionally speaking. He is very tender and careful, but steady physically speaking.He is especially careful with his prosthetic. Emotionally, he is stronger than one would expect. He isn't a pushover, and will defend himself or anyone else who needs defending, but he is gentler now than before he was the Winter Soldier.

H: Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?) 

Once there's trust between you, yes. He loves hugs. He loved them in the 40s, and he loves them now. He definitely loves to be greeted with a hug and likes to give you a hug before he leaves somewhere, like a mission or therapy. They're very firm but gentle.

I: I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)

It would take Bucky a while before he said he loved you. The problem is, he either plans how he'll say it—his preference—or accidentally blurts it out in an especially tender moment and then dies of embarrassment. I would say it takes about half a year, but it really depends on your bond. 

J: Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they're jealous?)

The 1940s Bucky could get quite jealous. It wasn't a toxic masculinity thing, but it was definitely something he sometimes struggled with. He was never abusive about it, EVER, but it was something that bothered him, as seen with The First Avenger. Nowadays, he's less likely to be jealous because his confidence levels are a bit lower than before, but the more robust your bond, the more likely he is to get jealous because the two of you put so much work into it. He is definitely the type to give the death glare to end all death glares, make a snide comment, or generally find a way to stay by your side. 

K: Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you?)

It really depends on his mood, as it does with anyone. Sometimes, he can give playful kisses, peppering them all over your face as he refuses to let go, or they can be slow and tender, full of meaning and gratefulness, or they can be scorching, searing, and passionate.

L: Little Ones (How are they with kids?)

Bucky has always been good with kids, even in the 40s, and that's thanks in part to having three little sisters. We also see the children in Wakanda love him. He's very relaxed and more himself around children. In the 40s, his mother used to harass him about when he'd give her grandkids. 

M: Mornings (How are mornings spent with them?)

In the 40s, it was getting up at the crack of dawn to work at the docks for 9-12 hour shifts, with him sleeping in late on the weekends. Now, he still sleeps late because he feels like he doesn't have anything else to do. However, given a routine and responsibilities like helping the Avengers or going on missions, he is more likely to keep a decent schedule. It's also his insomnia that causes him to sleep in more, but not as late as he used to. Now, he'll spend the mornings trying to coax you to stay in bed with him, whether that's through cuddles or fun. ; )

N: Night (How are nights spent with them?)

Again, insomnia is his worst enemy. He tends to take late-night walks or read late into the night before staring at the ceiling, waiting for sleep. Now, he does those things, but he can also enjoy sex with you, cuddling, or watching something stupid on TV. 

O: Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

Bucky was semi-open about himself in the 40s, but he was actually more likely to ask about you than about him. Sure, he'd talk about his family, Steve, or his work, but that was about it. However, that was partially the toxic belief that men just don't reveal everything about themselves. Now, it's more about feeling safe to do so and what is "too much." What will chase you away? When will it happen? However, as usual, with trust, this changes, and while there is much he will never reveal, he slowly opens up. 

P: Patience (How easily angered are they?)

He could be a bit fiery in the 40s, but nothing compared to Steve. He was a saint in comparison to Steve. His anger is more biting and calling someone out, maybe raising his voice in the 40s. Now, it's more stormy and quiet. It can be biting, though, and there are still elements of him from the 40s with snide comments - but he hates to fight and would prefer to do anything to prevent it, or if there has to be a fight - find a resolution as soon as possible.

Q: Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every detail in passing, or do they kind of forget? )

In the 40s, he tried to remember as much as he could and actually impressed people with how thoughtful he could be. He remembered everything about Steve, his sisters, and the commandos, but also things about his enemies. Nowadays, he struggles with his memory, but he sometimes writes important things in his journal so he can remember them. However, the will is there, and he tries very hard.

R: Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)

The first time you watched a movie together and you put your head on his shoulder. It was the first time someone had done that to him since before he fell off the train. That moment turned into full on cuddling during the movie and he was so anxious - but giddy, that he couldn't focus on the movie.

S: Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?) 

1940s Bucky was very protective in about every way imaginable, but especially in the stereotypical 1940s ways. However, Bucky now isn't entirely too different from that. The main difference is that he is a little more modern in how he views women and that he is a bit more physically protective. Unsurprisingly, he is very concerned someone from his past might harm you. He's the type that wants you to text him when you get home safely and has similar habits. Emotionally, he has no problem standing up for you. It's something he's always been good at.

T: Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, and gifts?)

He's always been thoughtful about dates, anniversaries, and gifts from childhood to now. He never had much money, so every penny had to count. If he couldn't buy something, he would plan extensively for just the right type of event to attend. With dates, he was a bit more traditional and knew what worked, like dinner and a movie or the carnival, but that doesn't mean he didn't put thought into it. Bucky is the same now, except perhaps even more thoughtful about it. He was always observant, but now he listens more than he talks, whereas before, it was the opposite. He may have more money now, but he prefers to put a lot of thought into what he gets you or something that can help you. Nowadays, he overthinks what he should do for a date or anniversary, but it's always wonderful even when things don't go as planned.

U: Ugly (What would be a bad habit of theirs?)

His self depreciation is pretty bad. His low self confidence also tends to get in the way of things - but it is of no fault of his own! As for an actual habit, he grinds his teeth and clenches his jaw too often giving him jaw pain. 

V: Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

Bucky could be quite vain in the 40s and spent quite a bit of time on his hair. He didn't have a choice about his appearance as the Winter Soldier and afterwards, he was too focused on survival and blending in to really care about his appearance. He is trying to get more into self care habits and rituals and you encourage him to spend time on himself, but he doesn't care like he once did. 

W: Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

Bucky was surrounded by people in the 40s so he would notice it less if his partner was gone, but he would still feel it! I just think he would bounce back quicker depending on how the relationship was while with Bucky now; he always tries to prepare for the worst and prepare himself for if you do leave him. He would survive, but he would feel like a light was extinguished.

X: Xtra (A random headcanon for them)

Bucky really misses the Indiana house he had to sell. He really wanted to stay there, build a community, and potentially raise a family there, but it wasn't meant to be. (This is more comic verse-esque)

Z: Zzz (What is a sleep habit of theirs?)

Bucky used to be a stomach sleeper, but that quit when he joined the army. It was too uncomfortable to sleep on his stomach then. It's not as easy with his prosthetic, but he still sleeps on his stomach sometimes. (This is canon for Comic Bucky.)

Affection: How do they show their love and affection? How intense would it get?

VERY INTENSE, to say the least. fae are known to be very territorial and possessive and malleus isn't an exception. he likes to shower you with affection and expensive gifts such as jewels or gold and doesn't allow you to 'reject' them. he has no objections to locking you up somewhere he can keep his eyes on you or starting wars with other kingdoms if it means that you'll be his.

Blood: How messy are they willing to get when it comes to their darling?

he definitely wouldn't mind getting rid of any nuisances getting in between the both of you but he always makes sure to clean up before you arrive. the scene is extremely gruesome — blood and guts would basically be in every crevice of the room. he only manages to get rid of the stench with his magic, so he tries to not kill people too often, lest he ends up overblotting and harming you.

Cruelty: How would they treat their darling once abducted? Would they mock them?

nope nope nope. it doesn't matter how pathetic you look when you cry, he could never ridicule you like that. you just need to get used to your new environment! can't you see that he really wants the best for you?

Darling: Aside from abduction, would they do anything against their darling’s will?

his gifts and affection will be reciprocated, whether you like it or not. sure, he'll be more lenient if you've only just been captured but you can't keep shunning him away! will tie your wrists and ankles together to get you to stop struggling during naps and cuddle sessions. he has slipped love potions into your food before too.

Exposed: How much of their heart do they bare to their darling? How vulnerable are they when it comes to their darling?

you and lilia are probably the only people who know about his... aggressive tendencies. he'll often times weep at your feet inconsolably — crying about how much he loves you and how it hurts when you don't feel the same way. as if that wasn't uncomfortable enough, he'll suddenly start rambling on about how you'd love his tower in briar valley and that you'd have no need to ever step out of it. humans like living in that kind of luxury, right?

Fight: How would they feel if their darling fought back?

fight back? against the 5th most powerful magic wielder in the world? yeah, good luck. he would never intentionally harm you, but you're really breaking his heart like this. he simply doesn't understand why you're so upset and just tries to calm you down to the best of his abilities. this is just a small lover's spat, it'll all be over soon!

Game: Is this a game to them? How much would they enjoy watching their darling try to escape?

he does not find this funny, he takes it very seriously. what's wrong with what you have now? do you not like his gifts? why do you keep trying to run away? he's very confused and hurt — nevertheless, he always manages to catch you, leaving you right back where you started.

Hell: What would be their darling’s worst experience with them?

before your abduction, you were still the human transfer student at NRC, you were still allowed the freedom to talk to anyone you wanted. malleus knew you and leona were quite close — the lion male having a small liking towards you. he was already quite irked at the sight, but he snapped when you hugged the lion, enchanting the whole vicinity with his signature spell — causing everyone to fall into a deep slumber. that's when he took the opportunity to lock you up in his room and you've been there since.

Ideals: What kind of future do they have in mind for/with their darling?

he hopes to marry you one day and have you rule briar valley with him as his rightful queen. he definitely wants to have a family with you too, he does need to continue his royal fae bloodline!

Jealousy: Do they get jealous? Do they lash out or find a way to cope?

YES. he tries to talk to you and hear whatever complaints you have but it's all in vain. he refuses to believe that you loathe him. he'll stand there in silence before quickly excusing himself — you don't see him for a few days. what does he do during this time? oh i don't know... maim whatever friends you have left? (ehe!)

Kisses: How do they act around or with their darling?

he's very sweet. he has never felt so strongly for anyone before and he's going to give all of his love to you! he's constantly touching you, whether or not it's wrapping his arms around you or marking you up with bites. it's how fae show affection for their loved one! he'll charm you with his honeyed words — praising you when you're being obedient in the daytime and gently lulling you to sleep by night.

Love letters: How would they go about courting or approaching their darling?

before your abduction, he'd slip beautifully handwritten letters into your locker. however, it has no sender — your only clue as to who it was being the bright green wax seal. you thought it was just a random diasommnia student and didn't think much about them till the contents of these letters started becoming increasingly disturbing. saccharine poems of love and his promised reveal turned to bitter jealousy and rage at your 'infidelity' to him. how dare you speak to other students, especially those from his own house! you stopped receiving letters entirely but malleus suddenly started showing up at ramshackle dorm more often.

Mask: Are their true colors drastically different from the way they act around everyone else?

sort of? lilia is the only other person who knows about his treatment of you. to everyone else, he's still unapproachable and cold. only you get to see him all pathetic and vulnerable. (manfailure)

Naughty: How would they punish their darling?

being locked up in his room means zero contact with the outside world — you wonder how ace, deuce and grim are doing. solitude was enjoyable sometimes, sure, but you haven't seen anyone who isn't malleus for weeks. imagine the horror when even he stops showing up! this silent treatment usually ends within a few days because it breaks his heart to not speak to his darling too.

Oppression: How many rights would they take away from their darling?

you're pretty much deprived of social interaction. i hope you have an interest in gargoyles.

Patience: How patient are they with their darling?

he's surprisingly patient. his punishments are all quite tame — none of them being harmful to you. he understands if you need more time to get used to your new life but make him wait too long and he might slip a love potion into your food!

Quit: If their darling dies, leaves, or successfully escapes, would they ever be able to move on?

no. just no. if you died, he'll find a way to resurrect you — charm, potion, curse, spell, anything. trying to escape from him isn't something feasible for a human. you're stuck with him forever!

Regret: Would they ever feel guilty about abducting their darling? Would they ever let their darling go?

your cries of sorrow does bring him a sense of guilt and regret but the thought of letting you openly roam free again brings him more rage and worry. try convincing him to go out with you to a secluded area — he might agree if he's in a good mood!

Stigma: What brought about this side of them (childhood, curiosity, etc)?

poor dragon boi has lived for almost two centuries with no one he can consider a friend :( everyone's too scared or cautious of him to talk normally. so when a sweet fragile human like you treats him so nicely, he might just tear up. especially since you continued to do so after learning of his identity.

Tears: How do they feel about seeing their darling scream, cry, and/or isolate themselves?

Unique: Would they do anything different from the classic yandere?

(i don't think so? define classic yandere :'D)

Vice: What weakness can their darling exploit in order to escape?

he's so patient and kind, if you play your cards well, you might be able to convince him to let you out for a little while — under his supervision, of course.

Wit’s end: Would they ever hurt their darling?

intentionally, no. never! he has definitely damaged (killed) whatever social life you had before and your freedom but it was mostly unintended! (yea ok malleus...)

Xoanon: How much would they revere or worship their darling? To what length would they go to win their darling over?

he likes to think that you two are equals — you as his bride, wife, future queen. he treasures whatever shred of affection you give him but i don't think he'd ever reach the point of kissing the ground you walk on or anything like that.

Yearn: How long do they pine after their darling before they snap?

(read H) in order to get to that point, he's already been tolerating your 'unfaithfulness' for a few months.

Zenith: Would they ever break their darling?

probably. he already uses love potions on you, who's to say he won't make it permanent?

I am thinking about the Raverne who loved humanity

Despite the growing conflict and his wife’s hatred of humans, Raverne ventured out for the sake of diplomacy and saw something more out there. Something beyond human greed and cruelty, beyond the stench of oil and metal.

Human lives were as ethereal as a silk thread, weaving tapestries of their ancestors and their children. In the time it took for his kind to walk, a human child would grow into man, and craft wonders born from curiosity alone.

Who knows how Raverne first learned the Common Language. Perhaps he pored over human scrolls with scholars advising him over his shoulder. Perhaps the children giggled at his clumsy attempt of conversing with them, before scribbling the alphabet into the dirt with a twig- tongues sticking out from concentration. The first word the little ones taught him was “bird.”

Raverne did not teach himself despite Lilia’s claims, oh no. Far from it. A language he foresaw a future of peace in had to be taught by the humans themselves. To posses that degree of vulnerability was a danger in their world, but in order to be taught, one had to strip their notion of ‘normalcy.’ And so, Raverne bore his soul to humanity’s teachings. He knelt beside the drunken man on the street corner, beside an Empress, beside the mother feeding her babe. He trailed after the shepherd, gossiped with the merchant, listened to the elderly on their death bed. Each and every single human had their own story to tell, rich with a vocabulary different from the next.

Now carrying the torch, Raverne passed down the flames of knowledge to his fellow soldiers, to students, to Lilia. Over the years, schools could eventually educate young Fae the Common Language to the point of fluency. The fae would now carry this language and pass it on to their children, their grandchildren- for as many centuries it would take Fae and human to live hand-in-hand.

And when the war began, many of his people fell in battle. Villages raided, mines collapsed into rubble. A field of sawed trunks replaced the forests he, Lilia, and Meleanor used to play in. The rivers the water fairies once cultivated now reeked of oil. The rainwater satiated his thirst more than that gunk. Scraps of armor and cloth littered the war grounds. His body cried out from the day of battle, but he would bear the weight of his beloved companions on his shoulders one last time to grant them a proper resting place.

And in the moment that he too fell in battle, writhing in the agony as his wings were to be stolen as a trophy, Raverne could not yet being himself to despise humanity.

He thought of those small voices pleading if they could touch his iridescent feathers just once. Of the little ones whose eyes shone in wonder at his wings- the span of which were so large, that six or seven children could huddle within as if it were their secret playhouse. Why, Raverne recalled the elderly, the ones who took his hands in their calloused, frail ones, marveling at the sight of an “angel” before them. Their faces were wonderfully affected by time in a way his never would, with wrinkles and age spots and wisps of white hair. As blood puddled around him, the scent of food wafted through his memories. How generous the stall owners were, who insistently plated extra food onto his plate- meals crafted from hands that knew the touch of fire.

In his weakening breath, Raverne marveled at the beauty of humanity. Oh yes, it was certainly cruel, trashed with atrocities he could never even fathomed before. But at the heart of it lay a loud resilience. The sound of joy from young and old, dancing in their flowing garbs in their town square. Humans laughing and whooping through the strain of their feet hitting the ground in a rhythm, sweat dripping down their foreheads. Even through the vilest soldiers, the song of peace passed down through generations of humanity thrived still.

And Raverne prayed his beloved boy would one day be invited to sing too.

Hiii, i just discovered your blog and i really like your fics (i haven't yet reblogged or liked them but i will do so, i promise!) and the way you portray the characters! I saw that your requests are open and i wanted to ask if you could do a sfw alphabet with Kili?

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

Kili is very affectionate with you. He’s always looking at you affectionately and loves to hold your hand or kiss you. Physical affection is one of his favorite ways to show his love for you.

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)

Kili would be a great best friend. He’s pretty playful but also super sweet, so he’s fun to be around. He’s also a great listener and loves to lend an ear whenever you’re having a problem you need to talk out, and is always willing to help you when you need it.

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

Kili enjoys cuddling a lot! He especially likes to rest his head in your lap or act as the “little spoon” when you’re lying in bed together.

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

He does! Kili loves the idea of settling down and spending quiet moments with you. He can cook pretty well. It’s nothing fancy but his food always smells and tastes really good. Cleaning takes a little bit more work from him but that’s mainly because he had different ideas of “clean” than you do, but once he figures out how you like things he sticks to that, making your shared living space clean for a long while.

E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

There would be a lot of discussion that goes into the decision, and there would be some tears from both of you, but Kili would break up with his partner in a way that is respectful to himself and you. He would comfort you through your emotions on the subject and is more than happy to remain friends with you after a breakup.

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

Kili loves the idea of commitment. He wants to get married within a couple of months. With all of the war he’s seen and the traveling he’s done, Kili understands that time can pass quickly and things happen unexpectedly, so he wants to jump on the chance to get married if that’s something you want as well.

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

Kili is super gentle, especially with you. Being a dwarf comes with a lot of built-in physical strength, so when he makes contact with you his touch is feather-light. He never wants to hurt you in any way, which leads him to be gentler than he needs to be in certain circumstances.

Emotionally, Kili is also really gentle. He’s always checking in on how you’re feeling and/or comforting you when you need it. He’s not afraid to be emotional with you when the situation calls for it, and he always does his best to say things to support you in whatever life season you’re in.

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

He does! Depending on your height, hugs can be a little bit awkward, when you’re both standing, but Kili loves to hug you regardless. He hugs you from the side when you two are standing beside each other and he always has his arms around you when you’re alone, especially if you’re both laying down.

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)

Kili would have said it sooner if you didn’t make him so nervous. Much like his motivations to settle down, Kili has a sense of urgency when it comes to saying “I love you”, so it’s said relatively quickly in your relationship. Once he told you that he loved you the first time, there was no stopping him. Every chance he gets Kili is telling you how much he loves you because he really does feel it deeply.

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)

Kili doesn’t get jealous actually. He’s so enamored with you (much like you are with him) that he doesn’t you for a moment. If there was someone else vying for your affection, Kili pays them no mind because he trusts you and your judgement and knows that you love him over anyone else. He’s very secure in that way.

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

Kili’s kisses are gentle like his touches, but they can be more forceful in moments of passion. He loves kissing the tops of your hands especially, and on your arms as well. Kili likes to be kissed anywhere on his face. He can’t describe why, but he really likes it when you do that.

L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

Kili loves children! He loves to play with them and pick them up and tries his best to be helpful if a little one gets hurt. He’s very sweet with children overall.

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

No matter what your morning routine looks like, Kili just wants to be a part of it. Mornings are spent together over any other way. You both eat breakfast at or around the same time and Kili is always waiting for you in bed or not very far off somewhere else to wish you good morning.

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)

Nights with Kili also have an element of togetherness. The two of you get ready for bed while telling each other stories of your respective days or talking about moments that you spent together throughout the day before getting in bed and going to sleep.

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

Kili would reveal things about himself fairly quickly. It’s easy for him to talk about his family, like his mother or his brother Fili, so you would discover many aspects of him and his life relatively fast. He’s a very open person that doesn’t like to keep things under wraps for a long time, so he just tells you about it when the time is right.

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)

He’s not easily angered but if something has been bothering him (especially if it has to do with something or someone that affected you negatively in some way) there is a possibility that he will snap and lash out. He never directs his anger at you though.

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)

Kili forgets the odd detail, but he mostly remembers everything that you tell him about yourself.

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)

His favorite moment of your relationship is when you kissed him for the first time! It caught him off guard because you did it out of the blue after running into some danger and surviving. He loved your confidence and how it felt to kiss you.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

Kili is super protective of those he cares about, and you are no exception. He’s always going out of his way to protect you, whether that’s in small ways like catching you when you stumble, or in bigger ways such as fighting to protect you from certain dangers.

As for being protected himself, Kili loves it when you fight for him physically. He finds it very brave of you to use your strength to keep him from danger (even though he’d prefer that you were protected from danger at all times) and always expresses his gratitude after the two of you are safe once again.

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

Although things like dates, anniversaries, and gifts aren’t ever very extravagant, the effort that Kili puts into them is apparent. He likes to take his time to plan special events and gifts in great detail, sometimes even weeks before the time comes for you to experience or see them. He also takes great care to do tasks that you’re too tired for after a long day or simply things you don’t like doing to show his appreciation for you.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

One “bad” habit of Kili’s is that he often forgets to take care of himself in his pursuit to make you more comfortable. There are times when you have to remind him to wash or rest, which he appreciates.

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

Kili is very concerned with his looks when it comes to comparison to others. He doesn’t look a lot like other dwarves, so he often feels self-conscious of his appearance, such as his amount of facial hair and other aspects of his appearance that he feels are noticeable and dislikable.

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

He would for a while, but over time he would realize that he is, and can be, fine on his own.

X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)

Kili is really good at skipping stones in water. He can make them go really far and do lots of hops.

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)

Kili does not like it when an individual has a lack of compassion and justice. He knows right and wrong and it bothers him when people are selfish enough to ignore those facts and refuse to take action when there is a problem at hand. He also hates it when people take action but are unkind about it. To Kili, people cannot work together harmoniously if stubbornness is present whether that is in a romantic relationship or otherwise.

Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habits of theirs?)

He subconsciously makes noises in his sleep, especially if he’s about to wake up but not entirely conscious. It’s something between a growl and a snore, and every time you bring it up to Kili he has no idea what you’re talking about because he isn’t aware that it’s happening.

l'manburg language headcanons

okay so i havent sat down and actually created a language for lmanburg but I hc that they have their own language & here are hcs for that language. its a mashup of all the languages that the members speak. i know that a language couldn't really develop in the timeframe so I'm speeding up the development because i want to.

Slang / Phrases

first, it exists withing minecraft, so internet/minecraft lingo and phrases are commonplace (ie: pots, spawn, etc)

l'manburg was born out of conflict, so many phrases and slang are often violent.

because many prolific figures (c!tommy with prime, c!wilbur with being phil's son, c!eret with the herobrine stuff, c!dream with the XD stuff) are heavily religous / associated with religion, religious phrases are also very common.

there are different words for non-canon death, a canon death, and the last canonical death (the one that kills kills you)

Actual Language

l'manburg's language is a mix of british english, french, dutch, spanish, german, latin, and ancient greek. because it is such a new language, some words are the exact same as the English (given that english is the common language) words.

all military/war words have absolutely no english ties (as to provide secrecy). most are a mix of french, latin, and ancient greek (latin and ancient greek comes from c!tommy & c!wilbur, because they were taught by c!techno)

words pertaining nationality, home, or base are a mix of french (l'-), german (-manburg), and dutch (man). Most are french.

words pertaining to money or commerce are dutch & english inspired.

words pertaining to farming are inspired by ancient greek (c!techno again)

words pertaining to government/high authority are often a mix of latin, french, and english (c!wilbur is fucking obsessed with french & latin)

anything related to food is inspired by german and ancient greek.

Context / Timeline

quackity's arrival made spanish inspired words/phrases more abundant.

schlatt made american phrases and spellings very common.

the manburg administration attempted to phase out the language, but was unsuccessful.

new lmanburg caused many more phrases based on death, nature, rot, and renewal.

new lmanburg put a lot of emphasis on philosophical, poetic, descriptive, and physiological words.

words regarding cops, police, and laws are closely tied with negative words such as evil, thief, and traitor.

manburg replaced many religious words and phrases with more neutral alternatives.

the first words created in the new language were military moves and tools.

new lmanburg's descriptive words were often enderian words translated into the latin alphabet (as c!ranboo, the minute man, was the one who used and created them)

lmanburg was often underdeveloped in governmental words pertaining to the running of a country.

A : 1) Authority: Do they see themselves as above their obsession?

- Yes, he is Dark Choco father, he see himself absolutely above his son and Dark Choco should do obey everything he said. His son is young, stupid and reckless (regardless of whether is the young or old version of Dark Choco. In Dark Cacao's defense, he's 100+ years old, it's hard not to see your son as a child) and he is his father, he always know and do best for him.

2) Affection: How do they show their love and affection? How intense would it get?

- He love languages are Acts of service and Quality time. As a king he is very busy, his free time is precious and he likes to enjoy it with his son ( especially when Dark Choco returns to his arms ). He is very protective of Dark Choco and would not hesitate to risk his life to protect his son, but Dark Cacao's acts of devotion for love can become very extreme (which is not a light thing even at begin since when he became a yandere), he can go from imprisoning Dark Choco to cutting out the tongue of anyone who dares to speak ill of him no matter how true or light it is.

B : 1) Can they cook or bake? Is they children responsible for their own food?

- Can cook but normal level, he wasn't born royalty and was an explorer, of course he knows how to cook for himself but i don't think he's very good at it considering i don't think he cares too much about whether his food tastes good or not but this may change when he starts cooking for his son. Even if you have no money, you have something to give to Palestine, and that is your voice. The Israeli government wants to sweep this under the rug, pretend like it's a war against Hamas and not the genocide that it is. As of recent, Israel has cut off power and communications within Gaza, which has left all without means to contact each other and the outside world. Hospitals in Gaza are running out of supplies and power to treat the wounded, if power and support is not returned, thousands of innocent people will die, many of those being new-born babies. Hamas is not in the hospitals, nor in the schools, nor the neighbourhoods that Israel has been bombing, by now it should be blindingly obvious that the actions they are taking are against the people of Gaza, and not Hamas.

Israel has closed the borders to Gaza, there is support waiting just outside it's walls, but they are being deprived of the food, water and medical supplies that could save lives. This is inhumane, disgusting behaviour, and anyone who condones these actions needs to wake up.

Don't allow this genocide to carry on under our noses, don't allow innocent lives to become statistics, show your support and share their stories, whether that is donating money, sharing posts about what is happening, or simply staying educated, do not let Israel continue these actions in silence.

Portugal comes up often in Nintama, but I was surprised hearing the students actually speaking and singing in Portuguese in the musical. In this one, they are brainstorming ideas for a cultural festival that will be held at school after the Headmaster got another one of his sudden ideas. This excerpt from youtube is taken from the encore. In the first show, the sixth years only spoke Japanese, with Kanemon asking them what language is written on the paper he was just handed. It goes a little bit differently here:

Tomesaburou (in Portuguese): I suggest a speech contest. Chouji (in Portuguese): We'll be speaking in a foreign language. Isaku (in Portuguese): We wrote the speeches we came up with in yomigana, so give it a try. He means the speech written on the paper was transcribed using kana characters, the letters used in japanese alphabets. I'm not sure about his pronunciation because I do not know a single word of Portuguese, but the end of his sentence sounds like he's saying "tempura", a method for deep-frying food the Japanese learned from Portuguese missionaries during the Muromachi Period, making it an all new dish by the time Nintama takes place. Hence Heisuke's reaction... Heisuke: Tempura...? Shuichirou: In what language are you all speaking? Tomesaburou: "Eu sou um ninja". It's Portuguese!

Portugal comes up a lot in Nintama because they were the first Europeans to reach Japan, and it all happened during Muromachi. They famously brought tempura to Japan as I mentioned before, but others stuff mentioned in Nintama as well like castella and konpeitou. They didn't just bring food with them though, and what makes them so relevant to ninjas is how they contributed to the art of war and influenced the outcome of the Sengoku period. The first Portuguese traders arrived on the island of Tanegashima and introduced firearms to the people there, which is why matchlocks are called tanegashima in Japanese (a word you can hear in the ending song Shihou Happou Hiji Deppou~).

Portugal plays an important role in Ninmyu 14, with two ninja characters moving all the way to Portugal, and a Portuguese character appearing in it too!!

you were wrapped up in a fuzzy blanket sobbing into your couch, with the tv playing "Friends" and a box of tissues next to you. you hadn't bothered to pick up the used tissues on the floor and was way too exhausted to even get up to make food. once you heard the blaring noise of ellie's truck engine, you tried to wipe some of your tears but more just came falling down your cheeks like a stormy day. you heard her keys in the doorknob and tried to hide your face so she couldn't see what a mess you were but she was already sitting next to you on the sofa.

"hey, babes... why are you crying, love?" she asked in a sympathetic tone, rubbing your back and tilting your chin to look at her with her other hand.

"i feel like shit, i can't even take care of myself." you said through rushed breaths, your nose running and you shifted your face into ellie's chest. "can you just hold me?"

you ask, wiping your nose with another tissue. ellie nods quickly and holds her arms open, making room for you in between her legs. you quickly get up and wrap your legs around her waist, engulfing her into your blanket that was still around you.

"it'll be okay, baby, im here now.. do you want me to make you some soup?" you nodded slowly and got off of her, wiping your eyes once more. by now ellie had already taken off her signature gray hoodie (which had belonged to you 90% of the time), and was walking around in one of her little white tank tops you loved, hugging her body perfectly. ellie walked over to your small kitchen and started making some chicken noodle soup, obviously the one with the alphabet noodles.

so there you were, curled up in a ball on the couch with ellie's hoodie on, taking in her scent. shortly after els came in with a bowl of steaming chicken soup, all smiley and lovey dovey when you had dark under eyes and you looked exhausted.

"shh, baby.. here's your soup, yeah?" ellie spoke in a soothing tone, taking notice of how you said your head was pounding like a kick drum. you smiled and took the warm bowl in your hands, ellie going back to cradling you. you were just oh so tired, but you finally felt calm and at ease with ellie and she chuckled when she felt your muscles relax under her heavenly touch.

"thanks, els.. for everything, i really don't deserve you" you said calmly once you finsihed your soup. you smiled tiredly up at her and kissed her cheek.

" 'm gonna get you sick, babe" you chuckled, but she just smiled and kissed the top of your head back. "i don't mind, as long as i'm taking care of you i'm happy." you nuzzled your head into ellie's chest and she put another blanket over the two of you, stroking your hair.

"get some rest, angel. you need it, and i'm here now." you were already starting to doze off and the sound of the fireplace crackling and the rain outside your window. all of the noises, the tv, the fireplace, the rain, the candle next to you sounded so soothing and you were soon off to sleep. ellie stayed up, rubbing your back and your head while watching tv and hummed a soothing song to keep you asleep.

"i love you, baby." she said quietly before dozing off to sleep under you.
