Hi hello PSA to people who don’t like when ingredients change and also to people with digestive issues
Olive Garden chicken gnocchi soup does have finely chopped onions in it now. I’m not sure when this changed exactly but it was sometime in the last month.
Additionally I’m not sure if this is all locations now or just this particular one but err on the side of caution if this will cause problems for you.
Apologies to anyone who can no longer consume. Was good soup

Congratulations on making it to week eight of your pregnancy! This is an exciting milestone as your baby is growing rapidly and starting to develop recognizable features. There's an autistic chef I really admire, Matthew Broberg-Moffitt, who just released COLOR TEXTURE TASTE a cookbook that's specifically for picky eaters and those with food aversions that I think could be a great resource if this is something you struggle with
i mean this in the gentlest way possible: you need to eat vegetables. you need to become comfortable with doing so. i do not care if you are a picky eater because of autism (hi, i used to be this person!), you need to find at least some vegetables you can eat. find a different way to prepare them. chances are you would like a vegetable you hate if you prepared it in a stew or roasted it with seasoning or included it as an ingredient in a recipe. just. please start eating better. potatoes and corn are not sufficient vegetables for a healthy diet.

“Eleanor made me eat tortellinis today without warning me they had MUSHROOMS! I ATE A FUNGUS! EWWWWWWWW!”
“They also had cheese, so they weren’t all bad, but URGH! I can’t believe I ate a fungus. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is RUINED!”

i just spent the last fifteen minutes cooking food but now my brain has decided Something is Wrong With It and it's Gone Bad in the last two minutes
I call it the "All the food is poison"
youtube
food moods:
i would Rather Die than consume a food
if anyone stands between me and consuming my food i will devour them whole
i can consume only this one, singular, specific food
i do not know the specific food i am Allowed to eat but all other food in my vicinity is illegal
i regret consuming a food
i regret consuming That Food Specifically
i WILL regret consuming this food, but it will not stop me
didn't know how bad i needed to consume a food, threw a minor tantrum about it, consumed the food, am undergoing an unauthorized magical girl transformation
i deeply resent that consuming foods regularly is a requirement of existence and i WILL be taking this matter up in Ghost Court with whatever entity or entities are responsible for this suffering
food is the best and i will consume every food allowed near me with gleeful abandon
i crave Specific Food so intensely that i shall tragically perish if forced to consume any alternate food
wanted to consume this food, now it's in front of me, appetite's on strike
ate this specific food so many times for such an extended period that i will fling myself from a cliff if you even suggest i consume it ever again

It's so ironic that I have developed so many food aversions during my restrictive years, aversions that stayed with me mostly until now, but I still managed to gain a ridiculous amount of weight...
It's just that some of the foods I do eat are calorie dense and I eat too much of them when I'm not doing well mentally. And the cycle is so hard to break...
It feels like a slap on the face tbh.

#Bloganuary Jan 18 - Favorite meal to cook or eat #wordpress
Today’s #Bloganuary prompt – favorite meal to cook or eat – is an easy one for me to write about. I don’t have a favorite meal to eat or to cook. I have foods I like more than I dislike. To name a few I like more than dislike: cheese pizza and beer roast beef, potatoes, and gravy traditional Thanksgiving meal or Sunday chicken dinner cereal and milk pancakes with ‘white’ syrup wine with cheese…

Randomly gonna rant about onions for a minute here. I guess I have what you'd call a "food aversion" to them. I /think/ all types of onions, pretty much.
Although I always detested onions, I always really enjoyed the flavor of garlic in cooking. However I became VERY allergic to garlic over 1-2 years as an adult.
I read that sometimes food aversions are thought to come from subconsciously associating that food with making you sick.
And now I'm wondering if maybe I have an allergy to onions & garlic, but I just never knew about the onions, because i was thoroughly avoiding them! It could make some sense because onions and garlic are both part of the alliums family of plants. But I don't have an aversion to garlic.
Also I noticed recently, that while I would have thought scallions to lay firmly in the 'onion camp', I actually can tolerate scallions for some reason. I mean, I dont LIKE THEM VERY MUCH but. Usually that flavor triggers a strong disgust/gag reflex. It's just weird how that works idk idk! Like why & how is my body deciding this is okay, this is not okay etc in the alliums familly LOL.

As we move towards the summer months, this is a healthy reminder that:
BMI is misapplied at best and pseudoscience at worst.
That genetics have far more affect on body type than any other factor.
That a "healthy weight" varies wildly from person to person.
That your body's actual healthy weight shouldn't require constant dieting to maintain.
That some studies have shown that being slightly "overweight" based on BMI actually makes you more resilient against injury and illness.
That unless your weight is actually directly causing you mobility issues or pain, it isn't a problem.
That movement and food should be a source of joy, not self discipline and stress.
That everyone looks better in clothes that fit properly.
That being hydrated and well fed is far more important to your health than you realize.
That fed is best.
That chiseled abs are only really visible if you are dehydrated.
That feeling the sun on your skin and bird song can heal the parts of you that years of dieting and weight watching and self criticism has injured.
That you have no obligation to be sexy or beautiful.
That you should never say things about your own body that you wouldn't say about a friend's or a partner's.
That it is not a moral imperative to be healthy or mobile or skinny.
That the people who judge you for your weight are fighting their own demons.
That People are absolutely terrible at guessing a person's weight. How you dress and carry yourself has far more impact on perception.
That You don't have to be beautiful to enjoy a beautiful day.
Better happy than skinny.
Feeling good is better than looking good.

Rebuild Your Gut Microbiome for Better Food Tolerance
The health of your gut microbiome—home to trillions of bacteria and microorganisms—plays a crucial role in digestion, immune function, and even your bodys tolerance to certain foods. If you’ve experienced food sensitivities or intolerances, it could be due to an imbalanced microbiome. Thankfully, it is possible to rebuild your gut health and potentially become more tolerant to foods you were…
