If a blood donor dies before a vampire drinks the blood bag from them, does that count as dead blood, or does it only matter whether they were alive when the blood was drawn?

tiny little writing roadbump
I was gonna have Patton make lasagna for dinner, but then I remembered that he gave Virgil leftover lasagna for lunch, and that makes two lasagnas in the same day and I'm not sure that’s reasonable
I do however definitely want it to be a meal that gets prepped and then cooks for a while, and can feed 7 people
thoughts?

As you know, I like jeeps, and I also like trucks, and unfortunately or rather fortunately that lead me down the rabbit hole of jeep trucks
But I'm not here to talk about the Comanche (MJs), the old SJ (or J series) gladiators, or my beloved CJ-8 scrambler.
I'm here to talk about the 10 ton trucks :]
These guys:
Now I'm still not entirely sure how it's name was coined as I'm like 90% it's a classification instead of being the name of a singular truck, with these trucks being more like tractors than modern day trucks (besides big rigs) and the trucks also weighed a lot more than 10 tons
(It's name is even weirder when you consider that it's cousin the five quarter ton was named that due to it's payload rating)
The trucks I know the most about are the M123A1C Truck Tractor and the M125 which had a massive V8 (785 cu in or 12.9L) with about 300hp and a torque of around around 6300 pound per inch if my math is right.
These guys were known for hauling tank and artillery parts :]
This one is hauling some construction equipment!
Now more is known about the M123 but from my understanding they were essentially the same truck but with slightly different purposes and slight improvements
All in all a very impressive truck, but it gets better! Now this beauty is a little more than 9ft wide, about 23ft long, and a whopping 9ft with a few inches height wise with some 14x24 tires (about 53 inches or just below 4 and a half feet).
Now earlier I mentioned that the ten ton truck classification was a little misleading, this beauty was actually about 32.5k lbs or roughly 16 tons on its own without any cargo, but with cargo (depending on if you were on or off road) it was 60,000 lbs off road and 65,000 lbs on road at a speed of just over 40mph.
:]
Now the really interesting part was how it's engine worked, I already talked a little bit about it's specs but not the really fun stuff.
It had steering brakes! That meant you could choose what side of the rig you wanted to apply the breaks to! Very useful for turning in bad conditions and surviving spin outs.
It also had Williams Air Brakes! Which blocked a part of the exhaust pipe, which is normally a bad thing but since it was an insanely heavy truck and a stick shift, you needed the engine to slow down so that you could easily shift into a different gear.
The transmission itself weighed about 1,500 lbs and was a stick shift 5 speed and what made it extra interesting was that it has 2 lube systems instead of the typical one you see in any other rig, unfortunately it's transmission system despite being really interesting kinda sucked and had a major leaking issue and it's weird plumbing/wiring didn't really help it at all.
Sadly due to these things being fuckin huge and also made in the 50s and only sold to the US military, there's barely any of em around anymore and you're not going to see any on the roads
Id probably rank this as my favorite big rig but my favorite truck still has to be my beloved CJ-8<3
Thank you for letting me ramble<3
this is exciting what I asked for, thank you very much!

okay bear with me here but i went to illinois last week and one part of the experience has stuck with me
this is, of course, ignoring things like current weather, time of day, your current ability to physically go outside, etc…. answer based on what you consider would be your optimal mountain viewing conditions on a day to day basis 👍

don't you want to be a cult leader? - danyal al ghul au
this is mostly a joke post but i thought it was funny and had to share so--
his first mistake was, obviously, inheriting his father's inability to see an injustice and stand still. -- actually, danyal's first mistake was his lair being so big. a mountainous island with a large temple in the center resembling his old home in Nanda Parbat? With sprawling foliage and rivers and streams and waterfalls galore? What was he going to do with all that space? Let it go to waste? He had plants there! Native trees of the ghost zone growing from the soil! He couldn't let it all be left unchecked!
So naturally after helping a fellow teenage assassin ghost -- who he later learns is named Akihiko, -- from Walker of all people, he sent them over to hang low at his lair until it was safe enough for them to wander around the Zone. Walker couldn't get through Danyal's astrofield if his life depended on it, and trust him -- he's tried. Danny was clearing out debris from his stupid transport vans for weeks.
Honestly it wasn't so bad, he and Aki really quickly became fast friends and Danny loves having a sparring partner close to his level again -- he hasn't had this much fun fighting since he left the League. Aki was very dedicated and levelheaded, the both of them clicked really well because of it.
Nonono, the real trouble began after Danyal met some long-passed League members and allowed them to come join his island as well. Apparently they had made a few enemies of the zone, and maybe Danyal still felt some loyalty to the League. He couldn't just let them be left to rot. Their zealotry could be overlooked so long as they kept it contained and helped him take care of his island.
And it.. snowballs from there? He meets a teen squire aptly calling himself Ambroise -- whether that was his living name or not is yet to be seen -- who died during feudal france, who is just about as dramatic and passionate as every french stereotype makes them out to be. He calls Danyal "my moon and great muse" -- which is both flattering and little uncomfortable, but Danyal's grown up in the League as the Grandson of the Demon Head, he is used to mild worship. he passes it off as nothing more, nothing less. -- and while his energy is overwhelming on the worst of days, he helps Danny draw out of his shell more in ways that Sam and Tucker still struggle with.
Him and Aki butt heads a lot, but the two seem to hold the other in at least some positive regard, so Danny doesn't worry too much about them fighting while he's gone. It only becomes a mild issue when Aki also begins calling Danny "my moon". It's a little sweet, so Danyal brushes it off.
Then he takes in a troupe of ghosts some time after he defeats Pariah Dark and they begin calling him "great one" just as the yetis do in the far frozen. This is where he meets the twins -- a pair of sibling ghosts who call themselves Trixie and Missy (short for Trick and Mislead) -- who aren't quite as passionate as Ambroise but more energetic than Aki. Eventually they also start calling Danyal "my moon" and attach themselves to his hip, even within the living. They like to hide in his shadow and cause trouble for the rest of the students. He makes sure they don't hurt anyone.
He's pretty sure Aki is jealous, same with Ambroise, but he can't be too certain other than the fact that they become much more lingering (re: clingy) whenever he visits the island.. Something he's trying to do much more often these days due to the increasing amount of people living there now. Since when did he become so popular?
Then there's Pēnelópeia from the Greater Athens, who ran away from home and joined his Island after he ran into her while she was being chased by Skulker -- and he's pretty sure the reason was because of her chimeric appearance. Her strange eyes and mismatched wings and lion's tail and talons. She assimilates into his friend group very easily, she gets along well with Ambroise and Trixie and Danny usually finds the three of them climbing the trees to pluck the most fruit from the top. They can fly and he knows it, but they prefer to climb.
Then finally there's silent poet Akkara who comes from ancient mesopotamia, who gets along most with Aki -- which is no surprise there considering their similar personality dispositions. he watches Aki and Danyal fight each other and leaves comments on this or that that he notices. He writes Danyal poems on clay tablets and leaves them by his room.
They're one big mismatched group of outcasts, and Danny's got the other ghosts on his island to tend to, because they're living on his island and he wants to be hospitable even if he struggles with that. But he spends the most of his time with them.
Sam and Tucker are making fun of him. Tucker jokingly tells him 'careful Danny, at this rate you're gonna start a cult'. Danny really wishes he had taken that joke more seriously.
He just. keeps. collecting people. Wayward souls lost in the zone, looking for shelter or refuge from something or other -- whether that be another hostile ghost, or a past afterlife, or just a purpose. Danyal finds them, he takes them in, offers them a place on his island until they are ready to leave. Many seldom do. He's not complaining -- he has the space, and it feels like it's only ever growing.
His close friends, his "inner circle" as he's heard the others call them, keep insistently calling him "my moon". He starts calling them his stars, because then it only feels fair. They're his stars, this is his constellation. It becomes a thing; little star halos begin forming behind their heads, picking them out from the rest. He loves them so much, it's hard to place. Sam and Tucker are also his stars, but they reside in the living realm, they're his tie to Life. Meanwhile, his friends here know what it's like to be dead, and sometimes its nice to relate.
Those living on his island keep calling him "Great One" and he's beginning to notice zealotry in their care for his island. He really, deeply appreciates it. His close friends gain nicknames -- as his stars, it's only natural for him to pick them out from the cluster in the skies. Akihiko, his Sirius and bright star. Trix and Missy, Castor and Pollux, the twins and troublemakers. Ambroise, his zealous Antares and close friend. Penelopeia, chimeric and loyal Vega. And Akkara, his Arcturus and strength.
It's ridiculous how long it takes for him to notice; he is, of course, a deadly trained assassin. He is meant to be observant -- and normally he is! But somehow this becomes a blind spot. One that becomes too big to be dealt with by the time he realizes it.
He should've noticed when Aki, his Sirius, stood beside him one day while Danyal looked over his island and saw the sprawling spirits carrying on about their afterlife and bowing to him as they saw him, and said: "I looked down into the depths when I met you; I couldn't measure it." They aren't one for flowing prose, it took him so off guard he was silent for over a minute before he finally spoke.
Danyal should've recognized devotion for what it is, and yet he didn't. He should've recognized it when Antares began spouting praises about him, crowing about his radiance and resplendence to the heavens. He just brushed it off as Ambroise being Ambroise. He should've recognized it when Trix and Missy nearly broke Dash's leg after he knocked Danyal's books out of his hands, he excused it as them being protective. Of them coming from times where such violence may have been customary -- after all, that's what he used to be like. What he was still like, sometimes, when his emotions nearly got the better of him.
He should've noticed it when the people living on his island followed his word like gospel, looked at him like he hung the stars in the sky. When his friends gifted him a shawl with the moon phases delicately embroidered into it, with silver, shimmering thread and moving stars lovingly stitched into it. Their constellations seen clear as day in the dark fabric. When he found small shrines dedicated to him -- but they lacked any image of him beyond stones carved to look like moons, so he ignored it. When the religious imagery began popping up.
He really, really should've noticed it when a bunch of cultists accidentally summoned Antares, and Antares had turned to him when he arrived and called them heretics. But he was so centered on the fact that they had kidnapped one of his stars, that he hadn't paid much attention to what Ambroise had said.
Sages say that faith is blind, they should also say faith in you is even blinder.
It really only hits him one afternoon while he's sitting in Sam's room studying with Tucker, Missy and Trixie lounging at his feet, Aki sat on his right, Penelopeia braiding his hair, Ambroise draped against him, and Akkara lurking over him. Its one of the rare few times they're all in one room together.
It hits him like a bolt of lightning. He looks up from his textbook. "Oh Ancients," he says in no amounting shock. Everyone looks up to him.
"I've become my grandfather."

Finally, my design for Mysterion!! this boy gave me so much heartache in the process of making this but its ok its all worth it for him <3
I also couldn't choose between the version with hair or without hair, so here's the one without under the cut (+ my initial drafts for his design):
#south park#south park fanart#south park the fractured but whole#tfbw#south park tfbw#mysterion#kenny mccormick#shroomer's archives: south park#shroomer's art !#time for me to yap about my design process in the tags again#so yea. MYSTERION!!! just another different flavor of kenny#are you sick of seeing me draw him yet#anyways. i made the poncho follow the shape of an M to recreate the M on his original design on his chest#but i also have green lines on his undershirt that travel up his arms and onto his chest to recreate the shape of an M#if the hood were to ever be ripped off#gave him the sort of police utility belts because he was close to the police in his first episode#and also just because theyre cool lol#ALSO I STOLE THE SPRAY PAINTED QUESTION MARK ON HIS HOOD i really like how it looks i think it was vicchaosz here on tumblr who inspired me#made the poncho ragged because. yknow. he dies a lot. that thing is not gonna walk away in tip top shape.#kept most of the colors the same with only a few changes like his boots and his underpants (which i changed to shorts)#OH AND MY FAVORITE HAPPY ACCIDENT!!! the underside of his hood was too dark in contrast to his shorts so i added some lilac to lighten it u#and it ended up looking like when mysterion goes into his ghost form in the game AND ITS JUST. UGH. SUCH A COOL HAPPY ACCIDENT.#so yea: not only did it help with the contrast its also THEMATIC!!#i swear he's not shorter in the lineup hes just slouching#i love this feral ass pose i put him in#ok i think thats it if you read this far ily and i smooch you#mwah#i hope this post does well lol i put so much effort into this

DCxDP fanfic idea: The Good Luck Charm
Wes goes to Gotham for a regular vacation, except he somehow has proof of Danny being Phantom. After years of threatening to expose him, Danny thinks he will do it in the big city now that they have graduated, so he follows after Wes, intending to foil his plan.
The redhead has no idea, as he has gotten over his desire to connect the two and is planning on enjoying his year gap before he suffers through college. He came to Gotham for the history stuff since he adored that subject.
He plans on seeing all the famous landmarks and even the minor ones that are only important to Gotham. Sure, he's heard of the crime rates, but as a sheltered boy from a small town whose only crime is paranormal-related, Wes thinks the tales are exaggerated.
Danny tells his parents and friends that he will do some soul-searching and take a spiritual retreat instead of going to College or getting a job for a while.
He does not want to worry them about Wes's proof in case he is exposed and the GIW attempts to arrest them for sheltering him. They hear that Wes is also going to Gotham briefly and assume Danny's random awareness of the redhead is due to an unresolved crush.
They let him shift into Phantom and fly after Wes' plane, shaking their heads at the love-struck fool.
While in Gotham, he attracts the attention of the Bats, who have no idea why a being of such power and long history (due to his time travel chase of Vlad, his existence was recorded, and of course, the Bats found it) is following around this random tourist who, for all intentions, is just sightseeing.
The more they watch Phantom, the more they realize that Phantom is somehow neutralizing the Gotham curse because Wes is far too lucky in this shit show city. The kid hasn't been mugged once and hasn't been caught up in rouge attacks. In fact, whenever he walks around the city, everything always seems to work out for him.
Bruce witnessed him literally drop his wallet only for it to be picked up by a crow who then dropped it on a bus, which drove it down the street until the wind flung it off the bus's roof, where it landed on the top of a hotdog cart umbrella. When Wes stopped for a chili cheese dog, it slid off the umbrella and fell right in his hand after he felt his pockets looking for it.
Phantom was watching him from alley entrance, tracking the wallet's path as Bruce was on the roof watching the two strangers with a mildly mystified expression.
Phantom's good luck wasn't limited to Wes, as anyone the redhead stood close to gained some positive karma. Once, while he was riding the historical train, a couple sitting behind him had been the random winners of a sweepstake. The middle-aged man in front of him got a call from his doctor, happily telling him they had found a match for organ translation, and the single mother struggling with her kids had been selected by the train staff for a completely free VIP package that she was able to later sell to keep her from being evicted.
All that from an hour-long ride near Wes Weston and the invisible ghost floating above him—the Bats used specialized goggles that allowed them to see the outline of Phantom.
The Bats want Wes to stay so Phantom's good luck can linger around the city. He's somehow cleaning up crime in the short two weeks he's been here, more than they ever could in the many years they've been attempting to stop crime.
#dcxdpdabbles#The Good Luck Charm#Part 1#Wes Weston is oblivious to Danny#Danny thinks he hid the eviednce and is following him around waiting for him to sleep up#He also is unaware of normal crimes#The Bats are like "What is happening? and How can we make him stay??#The real question is this: Is it Danny or Wes causing this good luck??

Palmer and Altairus
#i'm coming up with a little self-indulgent story :3#Where this woman‚ Palmer‚ was brought to the Land Of The Dead by mistake after a relative's passing#Death's Assistant rescued her from losing contact with her dimension by bringing her to the Limbo‚ an intermediary between the two worlds#Her main goal was to return home‚ until local conflicts and unexpected meetings with previously assumed imaginary friends#led her to question the real reason to be there ---#It feels right to create stories for these characters :o#and not just leave them hanging in an empty blank space (which is a constant pattern in most backgrounds of my art)#there are also other characters that show up but I haven't thought of their role yet#and I really like this idea of simplistic designs changing over time (10+ bonus points if it follows character development)#while really complex ones usually remain the same#so ig there's more to come??? unless I come up with yet ANOTHER self-indulgent story lmao#sbahdabwhdbahdhwqbadnwanwsm#starbsart
