Lost in the woods AU Once a upon a time when you was younger. They got lost in the woods at girl scout camp. Being the loner of the girl scout group no one quite noticed that you have disappeared. Crying on one of the many dirt paths you meet young cryptid sun and moon. With their help you return safely back to your girl scout group but curious about the cryptids you would continously seek them out. Over that month you and the cryptid boys forge a friendship. But as all good things it must come to an end. But you promised you would come back soon but soon they fade into just a long forgotten memory.

Fast forward you are celebrating that Vanessa has graduated Park Ranger training and is now a Park Ranger at Fazbear's nature park; that used to be the girl scout camp you went to as a young child. (can't say national because they are a for profit.) But Vanessa has been acting strangely ever since she started the training but Vanessa would never do anything shady....right? Unfortunately your naivety your good friend Vanessa is planning to sacrifice you to her good lord and savior Springtrap. close ups and tidbits

Cryptid Sun: 🎇The more "nicer" of the two. 🎇He hides toys in his chest cavity to help try to calm down children. He tried it with Y/N but it just made Y/N more confused and panicked. 🎇Can summon fire sprites from his chest cavity. Often times this would be how he guides lost hikers/children back to their camps versus showing himself. 🎇When angry his face will be engulfed in flames. but do not fret he will be fine once he cools down his temper. This rarely happens but moon is very good at pushing his buttons. 🎇is the less upset one out of the two of them of Y/N not remembering them. 🎇 Him and moon learned how to speak and write through reading the horse books left at the girl scout camp. So they have an unusual amount of knowledge about horses. 🎇Can sense what is happening through the forest through the roots and can travel through the roots to whatever location he pleases at the National Park.

Cryptid Moon: 🌙The more "aggressive" one of the two. (he just thinks he is just blunt and to the point.) 🌙He is currently trying to fly under the radar ever since a hiker stumbled upon him feasting on his meal. (whether it was human or not is up for debate. Ask him and he will just chuckle.) 🌙His wings got singed back when Sun couldn't control his fire sprites. He got back on him by putting a bunch of termites in his bed. 🌙Is the more upset one out of the two that Y/N forgot them. Especially when they grabbed Y/N to play with them in the sky for Y/N to panic and get dropped in the lake by accident. 🌙Moon was the first cryptid for Y/N to stumble upon when they were young as well as adults. 🌙Moon is a huge sucker for anything sweet whether they would like to admit it or not is up for debate. 🌙If Moon is the one guiding hikers back he would usually scare them in the direction they need to go. but with children he tries his best to make himself not as threatening(doesn't work half the time) and guide them while holding hands. (big softie)

Y/N: 🐈‍⬛ remember sun and moon a bit but more of just chalking it up to imaginary friends. They do have a birthmark on their neck which he showed to sun and moon as kids. but in general very secretive about it. 🐈‍⬛is in transitioning and uses he/they pronouns. 🐈‍⬛very prideful of their pitiful t-stache. but a stache is a stache. 🐈‍⬛has a HUGE fear of heights which is why they panicked when Moon picked them up like they were besties. 🐈‍⬛gets easily lost so it constantly keeps getting lost in the woods. and Vanessa's cryptic directions aren't helping him at all. 🐈‍⬛is training as well to be a park ranger like Vanessa. He has known Vanessa for a few years before she started acting very secretive and a bit unstable. 🐈‍⬛is a lot more chill with Sun but that might change after he stumbles upon Sun enjoying a meal. they are slightly terrified of both but Sun and moon just want to hang out with their bestie(?).

You did it more for the passion of gaming rather than making serious money off it. Your set up had been customized and built prior to the idea of even getting a twitch account, you already had countless hours logged into your Minecraft and Sims 4 worlds, as well as having a pretty lengthy collection of games all on your own

streamerau!Viktor who is the reason you even start. One day, he jokingly teased that with how many hours and how much money you had put into your hobby, you might as well try and make some money off it. He's very aware of what it takes to go viral, a pretty face, and you have the prettiest one he's ever seen. He is also quite confident in your skills to go viral. You have the personality, you have the skills, you have the knowledge. He's not even a gamer himself and he still enjoys watching you play and hearing all the interesting fun facts and history that you know about.

streamerau!Viktor who is such a visual opposite to his girlfriend. Part of the differences are played up for the camera, the comically pink and purple set up, the light-up headphones, even the type of content you create, spending less time in COD lobbies and more on cheap cozy games on Steam. He hardly ever steps into your recording office, fearing his tall, lanky, and dark demeanor may come off as some creepy ghost in the corner of your pastel-led room.

This isn't to say you only play those games, but that is simply what gets the views and is the least hostile space. When you do venture out of the typical cozy game aesthetic, it typically adventure puzzle games, like Tomb Raider or Uncharted, or maybe a story-based horror game like Mouthwashing or Until Dawn. In the very early days of your streaming adventure, you and Viktor would play vintage games from your collection, like Mario Kart or Mortal Kombat on your N64 or Sonic on your Sega Genesis. Once you start getting traction, he asks for them to be deleted. He's doesn't want his face all over the internet nor his reactions.

He is a bit of a sore loser. He also just isn't a fan of games that don't require some sort of skill or technique. He hates luck-based games, or games that depend heavily on rng. Y'all played the first FNAF game ONCE and he lost it because Chica hung around the door so he couldn't open it to alleviate his battery usage and was incredibly pissed when he lost because of that.

streamerau!Viktor who is more into more card games (my personal headcanon is that he is a great Spades partner) but still tunes into every single one of your streams. He thinks it's funny to leave very obvious 'pro-tips' like "don't mine at night with nothing but a wood sword" or "maybe try killing the creepers" or "next time, you should do a back flip off the ledge". Though he doesn't play with you, he does get alluded to in passing, typically by Grim rather than his actual name. The nickname came from one of your Sims streams where you laughed about how much your boyfriend looked like the Grim Reaper and then everyone started calling him that until it eventually got shortened to just Grim. At some point, someone dug through the archives to try and find him. The old streams were long gone at this point, but Viktor had somehow snuck into the corner of a few videos.

Speaking of which, Shadow Man Viktor definitely became a meme on the internet after he was spotted, specifically to that one Berleezy audio (IT IS HOT AS HELL IN THIS FUNKY ASS, HOT ASS ROOM IM IN...IS THAT THE GRIM REAPER???). He doesn't find out about it until you tell him. Viktor is thoroughly not a social media guy; he often gets confused when you make internet references on the stream and asks about what they mean later. That or he quietly texts you "I'm employed, what does that mean?" He never moved over to shorter form content when Vine and TikTok got really popular, and he definitely brags about having a longer attention span because of it. He would be more annoyed with the whole ordeal if his face wasn't obscured, but you can't tell who he is by the low-quality stills. This being said, your followers anxiously await the heavily teased boyfriend reveal.

FNAF MOVIE THEORY AND RAMBLING (spoilers with some images and quotes)

Okay so, idk where to start but i'll try to make everything that i say connect, starting with Garrett, Mike's lost brother.

We see the exact moment he was taken, just playing around and the next second he was in a car that was driving off. But there was no screaming, not even a scared face from Garrett, this is a kid who's not sure why his brother is chasing the car with so much fear.

We obviously know at the end of the movie that William was the one that did it, but there was never an explanation of why. He did say ''First i killed your brother. Now i'll kill you'', but how did he know about Mike's brother? It could be Vanessa that told him about Mike's brother, but there was something off about William since the beginning of the movie, before Vanessa even knew Mike.

Mike is searching for a job and ''Steve'' is looking thru his records and saying he's trying to figure out who he is. Well, that's exactly what he does when he reads his name. He quickly looks up to him in a shocked way, even getting a closer look at Mike like he was trying to recognize his face which he probably does because he starts acting weird and nervous, then he is very insisting on giving him the job that he knows will surely kill him.

But then again, how does he know Mike and Garrett? The name Schmit could be one of the reasons and just looking at Mike's face is a confirmation. Now this is where i start with my theory.

Garrett was taken just like Charlie in the games, no one was looking and then a car just passed by to use that opportunity, making them the first victims in the movie and games respectively.

Now, that gives the possibility that Garrett's father was somehow connected to William, perhaps as a friend or coworker, because why would William go to a place as far away as the woods just to kidnap and kill a random child if the pizzeria was the safest option? He had a reason to target his friend's son, I can't think of one rn, but that could mean Garrett's dad takes the rol of Henry. Explaining why William recognizes Mike, he was the older son of his friend, the brother of his first victim.

As a bonus, that could explain why Garret didn't scream or looked scared and everything happened so fast. He just saw a familiar face, someone his dad knew and wasn't really a stranger.

William says to Mike at the end ''You couldn't just leave it alone, could you?'', he knows what he did and thinks Mike was trying to go after him (i mean, he was looking for him thru his dreams, but something tells me William thinks he was searching for him irl, that's why he's shocked when he sees him right in his office, the thinks Mike finally found him but my guy was just trying to look for a job lmao).

Now getting a little crazier, in the credits we hear some words that say ''COME FIND ME'', who do we need to find? the children? We already know where they are. William? Let that mf be trapped where he is. The only one we don't know where it ended up was Garrett, but where is he? Maybe that music box at the end is an indication that Puppet is present, and the possibility of having some things related to the games could mean that Garrett may or may not be related to the puppet. (Coffcoff Garret being the Puppet just like Charlie).

Now for some silly stuff: I really think this is an AU where William and Henry swap children, Henry has 3 and William only has one. Of course William would have a normal life after killing kids and ruining Henry's life, he doesn't have to worry about his children killing each other, he just takes care of one who can be easily manipulated and lives a normal life as a career counselor. Giving his trophy (the pizzeria) people who can keep it safe.

Meanwhile Henry's family suffers just like the game but with extra steps, but I also think that Mike and Garret having a good relationship is proof of good parenting, not like the games where Mike bullies his little brother and William doesn't give a fuck about them or Elizabeth. That's also my opinion that the movies could work without the bite of '83 or even sister location, all of that could be avoided with a loving family.

The family Michael Afton and his brothers needed, the one that they deserved.

Figured I’d put the idea out in the world while I’m working on it: Mouthwashing FNAF au

Anyways, Pony Express and Freddy Fazbear’s (as a franchise not just the one restaurant) both have horrendous working conditions and I’m flabbergasted that we haven’t explored the idea of putting the Tulpar crew into Freddie’s.

The general concept is this: Polle’s Pizza Place (or Pizza Stable idk yet) is this little family arcade that sells pizza and hosts birthdays and whatever, real typical Chuck E. Cheese knock off place y’know. Jimmy has been going there since he could figure out how house keys worked and that’s where he meets Curly.

Since I’m actually writing this au and right now I don’t wanna say too much about it but I do wanna talk about the animatronics I came up with for it.

Is Polle and Friends a stupid name for the band or do we like it?

That aside, Polle isn’t actually an animatronic in the restaurant; he’s a walk around mascot that an unlucky employee gets to play (I just know that costume reeks). The other four animatronics are as follows (sorry I only have ugly sketches of them rn also I don’t have a sketch of the last animatronic 😖 also im bad at names so expect nothing good):

Henry Horse

Meant to be a leader-like character among Polle’s friends (despite the restaurant and cartoon being named after Polle)

Prefers to maintain the peace rather than pick sides in conflict

Goes along with whatever crazy scheme Polle comes up with

In the actual animatronic band he plays guitar and sings

Rosemary Ram (also often called Rosie Sheep)

Meant to be very motherly

Super supportive of her friends and loves taking care of them

Despite her sweet demeanor she does have a moments in the cartoon where she stands up for herself and her friends by absolutely verbally destroying whoever is messing with them (there are in universe compilation’s of these clips)

In the band she plays the bass and sings with Henry

Danny Dog

Meant to be the reckless one among Polle’s friends

Originally when he was introduced parents were concerned about his role in the cartoon due to the fact that he was constantly getting into trouble and his friends just laughed it off (except for Rosie and the next character I’m gonna talk about). At some point they tried to replace him but everyone hated the alternative character so much that the episode it was introduced in became lost media

Very beloved among children due to his wagging tail and silly expressions

He plays the drums

Samuel Swan (I’m so sorry I don’t have a drawing)

Meant to be the most mature of Polle’s friends

Scolds the others for their antics a lot but it’s because he’s a grumpy old bird who cares a lot

Least favorite among children despite the animatronic being designed to look super huggable

He plays piano

The lost episode character was gonna be named Buddy Bear and his whole thing was gonna be about safety. The episode he was introduced (and lost) in was called “Always bring a Buddy” and the plot followed Polle and Henry getting lost in the woods where they meet Buddy who then acts like he’s known Henry his whole life. The point of the episode was to show the importance of making friends and sticking close to friends in dangerous situations but the writers of the episode were underpaid and unmotivated so Buddy came off as clingy and kind of creepy. Suffice to say he was hated by children and parents alike.

In case you haven’t noticed all of the animatronics are meant to mirror a character in actual Mouthwashing. This is an important plot point later because Jimmy, despite pretending to hate the cartoon once he and Curly are in middle school, watches the Polle and Friends cartoon religiously and when Curly makes new friends he starts to associate them with the characters in the cartoon. Since this is inspired by FNAF, yeah they’re absolutely getting stuffed into the animatronic that they’ve been kin-assigned by Jimmy. Most of the au takes place between their child years and their highschool years. The more Fnaf-esc stuff (haunted animatronics and all that) takes place when Jimmy is an adult though.

So a couple of nights ago, I had a Fnaf-esque nightmare(stuck in a place and had to survive for the night). When I woke up inspiration struck for a new Pokemon Violet AU thing. So here we are. Basically it goes something along the lines of what if the Paldea Trio was either ghosts, or ghost adjacent. Here's some info on them:

Nemona is a Phantump One night a few years ago, she was out on a late night battling session, got lost in the woods, and was never heard from again. Enough time had passed for any hope of finding her to be non-existent. One day her best friend, Juliana(they're childhood friends in this AU) found a Phantump in the woods. I'll give you 3 guesses as to who it was. Not knowing any better, she caught the Phantump. And then she realized not only what seeing a Phantump meant but had a pretty good idea of who it was. Now Nemona is Juliana's Partner Pokemon. Wile she hasn't fully re-learned how to speak English yet, she can understand it perfectly, and can write if she needs to get a point across.

Penny is a Hisuian Zoroark One day after school she was accidentally killed after getting literally pushed around too much. She woke up later, cold, alone, confused, and half-blind. Eventually she was able to find her way around, get her old stuff back(which was a really odd experience for her), and try to re-integrate into her old life. The thought of getting revenge for her own death has crossed her mind more than a few times, but she currently doesn't even know if her killers are still enrolled at the school. She hasn't quite mastered her illusionary abilities, only being able to vaguely pass as human at a glance, but she's getting better.

Arven is completely fine, Prof. Sada on the other hand wasn't so lucky. Arven is kind of annoyed that he's basically being haunted by his mother, but she does take care of him. She can be a bit over-protective at times though. Once she passed, Turo tried his best with the time machine to get her back. Neither have heard from him since he disappeared inside the Great Crater of Paldea.

Flash’s realization was a slow one. And it all started a year or so before the Main AU’s story.

You see, she first decided to make that feeling of emptiness go away by actually digging into her town’s history. Who was the king before her, how he got the mansion she resides in, if he ever felt empty, etc. It took a bit of sleuthing, but she got a general idea. She even got to learn why there’s one “grave” at the top of the largest hill in town: Because it’s a memorial to Rattle-Bones’ daughter the old ghouls set up (though some say she could just be lost somewhere, but that’s just a much newer myth).

Flash just assumes that both royals are lost to time and tells Sallow what she learned. Sallow looks a bit uneasy when she gets to The Incident.. Which, in turn, makes Flash remember that Doctor Violet-Stein tells him that story every time he goes out now. So, out of respect, she changes the subject and moves on.

The months fly by, and Flash’s emptiness only gets worse. Everything leads to that fateful Halloween night. The lament on the hill, the adventure out into the woods, and the main storyline that I’m going to skim through due to time.

Aside from one particular “vision” of that princess running around her Christmas lab, Flash doesn’t see anything that tips her off about the previous family. There’s been a strangely familiar feeling of comfort she gets whenever Sallow’s around during this time.. But surely that was just because he was finally not stuck in that lab again. But then, Sallow certainly hasn’t been feeling all that cheery even with the special job she gave him. Was there something he knew that she didn’t? Something that wasn’t that dream he said he had?

Regardless of her pondering, she brushes these thoughts away and finishes the preparations. She rewards Sallow a few hours before the take-off with a ribbon bowtie she made just for him. Sallow clearly appreciates the gift, but even she can tell he’s getting too emotional. “Is that dream hounding him again?” she ponders as he leaves to go put it on. “I’ll have to ask him when I get back.”

Unfortunately for her, she doesn’t get to ask that question.. Mainly because her sleigh got shot down a couple hours after takeoff. And that literal shot in the dark was all it took to answer said question: Yes. Yes, it probably was— And with good reason, too.

She laments her failure of a Christmas as soon as she wakes up in a snowy graveyard. Regret and looming dread overtake her. Was this her version of what happened to Rattle-Bones? Was she now destined to be the second Halloween royal to ruin a holiday— maybe even two, given what Sallow warned her about?

..Thankfully, in the midst of her wondering, she realizes that she has one advantage: She survived to tell the tale. And, because of that, she can make amends and set things right.. If she isn’t too late, of course..

So, she rushes back to Halloween Town and figures out The Boogeyman has “Sandy Claws”. She rescues both him and Sallow, then apologizes to them both. Santa-Helpy leaves in a bit of a huff (understandably), but Sallow is much more forgiving. They talk a bit before returning home— Flash tries to figure out how in the world did Sallow get into the lair, Sallow attempts to get his motives across, and both have a much stronger bond by the end. (Though Flash suspects that she’s clearly missing something in terms of context when it comes to Sallow’s emotions during that entire Boogey fight. His wailing from earlier sounded like the noises she imagined Rattle-Bones’ ghost would make after he learned that he lost his daughter… Hmm..)

They go back home and are joyfully welcomed at the gate. Snow falls shortly after, which distracts everyone except for Flash. She takes this opportunity to talk to Doctor Violet-Stein about the sleigh and Sallow. As she’s praising Sallow for his bravery (and not mentioning the wailing out of respect), she catches the doctor mutter something under his breath:

“Of course he’d be as reckless as his own daughter...”

Flash double-takes. He… Sallow… has a daughter?? And nobody told her??

She glances over at Sallow. He’s slipping through a gate nearby, being careful to not let the bars crush the flower in his hand. His face is tired and solemn even with all of the cheer around him. The gate in question leads to the largest hill in town. And, aside from a shady tree and a very good spot to think, the only reason why he’d have to go there is because of the Princess’ grave. Which, given what the Doctor just told her, could very well mean—

All the pieces she’s had finally clicks.

Sallow is Rattle-Bones.

..But…what about his daughter, then? Is she still around too? Was she not just a figment of some sleep-deprived imagination?

She looks back at Violet-Stein with wide and curious eyes.

Violet-Stein scoffs. “Why do you think he’s been so worried about you?” he asks with a calm, yet knowing smile.

Flash just stares at the gate again. Deep inside, however, that empty void has finally begun to be filled. Now, she starts to feel like… she’s home.

So, yes. In a twist that is a twist only to Flash herself [and most of the townsfolk tbh], Flash is the former Halloween Princess (whose name I have still not yet decided on smh). Her ghost was able to successfully latch onto her current robotic form after The Incident. The problem is, she was both young and liable to fuse with whatever mechanisms were inside. So that’s why it took forever for her to remember anything before waking up in that current shell.

Sallow recognized her during their “first meeting” because he built that robot as a birthday gift for his daughter. A birthday gift that she never received properly, sure, but at least he let her see the thing before they unexpectedly double-died.

Which means, yes, Sallow had to pretend to not be her dad for nearly ten years. At least he helped when he could.

- Party of 83 happens like canon, Mike is bullying his little brother and CCs head is crushed - this au would also be going off the idea of CC being the protag of fnaf4 so hed be in the hospital

- this causes a bigger rift between Michael and his dad ofc and i wanna say the fourth night is when the catalyst of it all happened

- Michael, after another fight with his dad refuses to go to the hospital alongside him after work , preferring to just go on his own later > Charlie gives him his jacket

- William leaves the hospital more annoyed and amgry than he was before because he had still expected Michael to come at some point anyway AND because thru his preexisting jealousy of Henry is angry at the man for trying to console him - he takes it as an insult esp since Henry has never lost a child and has two (sammys here btw lol) perfectly alive, healthy kids

- as hes going home, stewing in that anger and jealousy he sees who he thinks is Charlie walking alongside the road and begins to pull over already thinking of killing the girl only to be met with Michael

> he demands Michael get inside the car, Micheal refuses and William steps out to try and get him in - some nasty words are exchanged and William gets,,violent

- Michael panics and runs into the nearby woods , getring slowed down by the jacket snagging, eventually throwing it off to the side

- unfortunately, for him he hesitates upon coming across a river and that gives William more than enough time to catch up

- William, again just absolutely angry and hopped on adrenaline (and a lot of his own self hatred bubbling to the surface) starts taking his frustrations out on Michael - hes not thinking clearly at all and with Michael looking SO MUCH like him it really is not helping him out until...Michael goes silent after Williams dunked his head in the water

- Michaels not responding and now Williams starting to come back to reality and begins to panic, realizing exactly what hes just done - Charlies death, while it still would have been a very on the spot thing, would not have been as messily executed and , in Williams mind, would have had a purpose

- he then tries to convince himself that this is okay actually because michael killed his other son so really this was punishment.....only for CC to Live in this version

- Michael here would actually be taking a page from Andrews book and attach himself to Williams soul instead of any one specific animatronic - since Foxy has always been his favorite tho he does tend to mess eith it more when in Freddys and manifests himself throigh its image when messing with William

- this drives William ro try and get Michael back somehow, whichever way he possibly can to absolve himself of this, to put things back together again,,,

- this au would have also led to Charlie, Sammy, Liz, and to a smaller extent Evan, trying to find Michael after his "disappreance "

- this would also just be a huge more psychological horror on Williams end tbh 😭 i dont think ALL of the things happening and supernatural occurences would be because of Mike - Will is severely paranoid, hes not in the right state of mind at all, and i think hes kinda managed to create his own personal agony monster

I do not, in fact I'm very allergic to basically any animal with fur or feathers. It's a sad life I lead.. one of my house mates does have a gecko though! Which is super neat since I'm not allergic to him so I can actually hold him!!!!

Gale the gecko my beloved. My little brother actually got a gecko also for his birthday a few weeks ago, although I'm in college so I don't live at home to see him that often.

This geckos name is Zilla, and he's a little baby!!!

Ooo this one's hard... I read a lot of different fics (im particularly a fan of angsty stuff >:D) but I'm a huuuuge sucker for crossover fics. I love the idea of, in between majoras mask and Link heading back to hyrule, the lost woods send him a couple other places with Epona. But instead of termina again or other places in hyrule, its other worlds entirely! Especially ones where ghosts are a thing and he can song of healing it up. Like imagine link running around in the world of fnaf, helping ghosts move on and getting masks that turn him into massive creepy robots! Or turning up in the avengers world after endgame and helping Ironman to find closure after death (and getting a sick robot mask again). My roommate and I have even come up with a pretty fun persona 5 au where joker and link get swapped places. But yeah, I think a security breach/ruin and majoras mask crossover where link helps to actually free everyone's souls and finally end things instead of fire part 2 electric Boogaloo would be so so cool. Or really any post majoras mask link running around in other fandoms fic. That's my dream fic plot. As for who would be cool to write it? That's hard but maybe my friend tomorrow_today on ao3! They have a very cool mha mp100 crossover that I beta read for that has such amazing character moments and plot beats, they would do an awesome job with the concept. That or mysterycyclone who I do not know and am incredibly intimidated by the power of who has a very cool and sad and amazing Spiderman batman crossover and introduced me to all if the robins lol

Chapter 1: The House Has New Owners

Despite their father's over excitement about their new home, his 3 children were not as excited as he was. Being cramped with her siblings in the already-too-small car for hours in the heat was annoying enough. They were hoping their destination would arrive soon enough.

"Will your new job sell ice cream, Daddy?" The middle child, Elizabeth, asked as she swung her legs in rhythm to the song that was on the radio.

The father, William Afton, gave a small smile. "It's more of a diner rather than an ice cream shop, sweetie. But there is ice cream on the menu that people can order. You can get ice cream whenever you would like!"

The oldest, Micheal, slumped back in his seat. He hoped Dad would be able to keep his job. The family's life was already hard enough.

While Dad did get a new job in town, the kids knew that wasn't the real reason they had to move.

The passing of their mother was the downfall of the Afton family's life. The trio weren't able to do their best in school with being overwhelmed by grief. William had nearly lost his previous job due to depression.

But maybe this time, it's new. This is a fresh start, for a chance at a new life. The children didn't mind moving away from their old town (aside from packing everything into boxes and hauling them to a moving van, which took days).

They didn't have any friends back home. Micheal was ignored by the other teenagers, Elizabeth was seen as a bother, or way too annoying, and Evan, the middle child, was always scared of everything and never spoke because of it.

Kids would constantly ask Evan, or Lizzie or Micheal why Evan would refuse to speak to anyone, or cry all the time.

Evan would constantly never go anywhere unless someone assured him it was safe.

Evan would refuse to leave his bed for fear that there were monsters out to get him.

No matter how much his family assured him that everything would be okay, Evan's anxiety would say otherwise.

With their mother dead, Micheal knew there would be no end for Evan's crying.

"We're there, kiddos!" William cheered.

The three kids perked up and darted their heads to the view of the house.

It was an ordinary house at that.

It was placed on a hill, surrounded close by trees that they could be waiting to swallow you whole. The yard enveloping the structure was tended so often that there was not a single weed in sight. It seemed structurally sound and well built. Their old house sounded like it was going to collapse any minute.

Their new house seemed welcoming, yet there was something... Odd about it. It was placed so randomly in the middle of nowhere that you would have to walk for miles before reaching civilization. Micheal hoped there was a town close by.

"Dad, how old is this house? It looks really new."

"A couple decades old, at least. The previous owner basically gave the house away! Quite the bargain, if you'll ask me!"

The car pulled over to a stop in the gravel filled driveway, and the family of 4 exited the vehicle they were all cramped in.

"I'll help the movers carry our belongings in the house. Why don't you three explore the yard?" William suggested. He turned to the workers. "Please be careful with that! That's an expensive piece of equipment!"

"Okay!" Elizabeth cheered. "Come along, Sparky!"

Their dog, a beagle, had sprinted over to the woods, eager to stretch his legs from sitting in the front seat.

Micheal glanced over at Evan, who was stumbling along, hugging his golden bear plush for dear life.

"What's wrong, Ev?"

"There's no path in the woods..."

He darted over to the entrance of the woods, and he was right.

There didn't seem to be a clear path that could be a hiking trail. Instead, all it had were bushes and logs, obscuring whatever lied beyond it.

"Well, as long as we go in a straight line, we'll be fine. We can just turn back if something happens." Micheal reasoned.

"But Dad said we could only play in the yard! Not in the woods!"

"The woods are an extension of the yard. So it's still our yard. I'm going in, whether you like it or not."

Micheal wandered into the wilderness along with Sparky and Lizzie. Evan, not wanting to be left behind, followed them.

"I wonder if we'll be able to build a treehouse like we had at our old house?"

"Well we're gonna need a good tree!" Elizabeth walked over to a thick tree and tapped it. "Is this good enough?"

"I don't know. They all seem really high up." Micheal glanced upwards at the evening sky above them. He couldn't see much of the sky due to the trees' leaves obscuring most of the sky. He walked over to a tree and started climbing.

"Where are you going?" Elizabeth asked.

"I'm climbing a tree, duh. I want to get a better view of this place." Micheal glanced at his palms, which were now red from grasping the tree branches. He looked to the North and saw something... White?

"Hang on, I think I found something," Micheal began his decent down the tree, doing his best to avoid falling to his doom.

"W-What did you see?" Evan nervously spoke out.

"Stay here for a bit. I'll be right back."

"What if you get lost?!" Evan protested.

Micheal took off his gray sweater and tied it around the branch of the tree. "If I get lost, I can find this." He took a stick and dug an arrow in the dirt pointing the way back.

"Don't worry, I won't go far. And once I find this landmark, I'll come back."

"Now you two stay here. I don't want you to get in trouble."

"Okay Mikey!" Elizabeth waved.

The teen followed north, trying to find that object he spotted at the tree.

As he moved farther in, thorns and branches poked at his pants. He hoped that none of the various plants were poison ivy.

Compared to the lawn at their new home, the woods were mostly untreated, as they let mother nature do what she wants here.

Behind the bushes he found a glimpse of white. He found what he spotted.

He pulled the bushes away and gasped in terror.

He had to take a closer look before realizing what it was.

A skull laid there half buried in the dirt, possibly being revealed by erosion and time. Various ants were crawling around it, in and out of the one eye socket that wasn't buried in the ground.

Shaking, Micheal used his foot to dig around the skull, checking if there was anything else to reveal. The skull had revealed to be extended to a snout.

So it wasn't human. That made Micheal breath better, even though it was still terrifying. It was probably a deer slain by nature's cold hands.

He wanted to give it some sort of comfort, so he scooped up some dirt to fully bury the skeleton, as if to give it a final resting place.

Wiping his hands of the dirt, he started heading back.

"You're back! And alive!" Elizabeth cheered.

"You sound surprised."

"Well, duh, we were worried! Did you find what you were looking for?"

Micheal's throat tightened. He didn't want to tell Evan or Lizzie about the skeleton.

He forced a smile. "It was my eyes playing tricks on me. I didn't find anything."

"Aww. I thought we could find a portal to another world. And we would become famous for it!"

"Well, there's no portals," Micheal tugged his sweatshirt free from the tree. "Come on, let's get out of here."

The boxes were put in their respective place, though it would take about a day to unpack everything.

"Your stuff is over there. I didn't place them in any rooms yet so you 3 can choose your own rooms." William explained.

"I call dibs on the middle room!" Lizzie called out.

"You can't call dibs on a room, Liz!" Micheal argued.

"Oh yeah? Watch this!" Liz trotted over to the room she wanted and pushed her respective box into it.

"There! My stuff is in it, so I get this room!"

William chuckled. "I didn't expect this to turn into a competition of sorts. Evan, Micheal, what room will you two choose?"

Micheal shrugged. "I don't really care much about it. I'll take this one." Micheal double tapped the door leading to his room.

"Alright. Evan, your room is over to the right. Is that okay with you?"

Evan nodded.

"Alright. I'll help you move your toys and belongings into it."

Evan's room was the weirdest thing about the house. It was large for a bedroom, maybe it was intended for it being a master bedroom. There was no light switch or lamp at all, so the only natural light would be from the right hallway, since it had a window. But even then, it wouldn't let light in. But that wasn't the most weird part.

His room had two doors. The hallways were the exact same, and both sides had mirrored the other.

After the moving was done, Evan was left to unpack his toys alone. He arranged his toys in the closet, which he had no intention of using. It was far too large, and the rack was way too high for anyone to hang their clothes up. He may was well just use it as a storage space.

While Evan was tending to his bed, he heard footsteps come from behind him.

Taking a deep breath, he tried not to panic. He grabbed his flashlight and slowly made his way to the closet.

He held out his torch like a weapon to defend any sort of thing that was hiding in the shadows.

"BOO!" The entity burst out the closest, hand ready to strike, wearing a.. Fox mask?

Evan tumbled back a few feet, eyes already filling with tears. He laid on the floor, expecting it to tear him apart.

Instead he heard... Laughter?

The thing was now giggling joyfully. "Oh man, you should have seen your face!" The thing took off the mask, face red with sweat.

It was Micheal! He should have known it was him.

"That wasn't funny! Y-you scared me!" Evan tried to shout in an intimidating voice to stand up for himself, but couldn't stop his voice cracking.

"Oh come on, it was just a joke!"

"It wasn't funny..."

Micheal scoffed. "You're no fun." He grabbed the fox mask and stormed off, leaving Evan alone.

Evan held his Fredbear plush tightly. He heard a voice of comfort.

"Tomorrow is another day."
