FMABruary2025 - Uniform

"Disguise"

Once, for a whole day, Gluttony, Lust and Envy decided to work a mission incognito.

I like the idea that Gluttony somehow played 4-D Chess and manipulated the others to do this plan, so that he could dress up in the military uniform.

Specifically referencing this image from the 2003 series, because it still makes me laugh:

First, they thought to do this in the first place, like they're Team Rocket, or something.

Second, where did they get those uniforms that were conveniently in their sizes from, unless they had them to hand and were planning on doing a quick change at a moments notice at some point.

Thirdly, WHY DID ENVY DRESS UP!? HE CAN LOOK LIKE ANYONE HE WANTS!!!

WIP Gluttony.

Oddly enough, out of the four Homunculi I’ve drawn, Gluttony gave me the most trouble. Maybe his face is too simple for my mind to comprehend 🤣

I really wanted to draw him alone at first, but remembering how he acted when Lust died (both times), I had to keep them together. Besides, gave me more practice with her. BUT, I wanted Gluttony to be interacting with the viewer in some way, so him grabbing at the camera worked. His mouth was actually the most fun to draw! I am one of those artists that doesn’t like to add too much detail to the mouth so it doesn’t look creepy or weird but that’s Gluttony’s whole thing.

I will add more detail to the Oroborus tattoo on his tongue and other places. I just love how the sketch came out. My final sketches do usually look this detailed before I go in and do the lineart and color. It’s easier for me that way :)
