Yes yes, exactly. Naruto is trying to juggle a lot of pots that he doesn’t know what to do with. There would probably be a war arc after a time skip, where everything would go down and so many things would be revealed such as Zetsus true plans and a tentail revival, but hopefully Sasuke and Sakura would be able to convince Naruto to come back.

Oh man your big bro Sasuke ask sent me spiraling back into my own AU I made after finishing Naruto I called the Team 7 swap.

It was a swap between Team Minato and Team 7 which switch places and timelines. Naruto took over Obitos place raised by his father during the second and third Shinobi war and founded/joined the Akatsuki under Black Zetsus puppetry planning to get all the tailed beasts together to destroy their collective villages. He uses his Talk no jutsu to convince a lot of people to join him.

Sakura was made the three tails jinchuriki and because of her and Sasukes collective smarts, she was placed under a genjutsu before reaching the village and Minato helped reseal the three tails safely. She is now head of the healing department, under lady fourth and teaching young students to implement Tsunadaes plans for each team to have a healing nin.

Sasuke stayed in the village and wound up a Genin instructor to take on three students. Danzo did the Uchiha massacre but Sasuke was able to stop it before everyone died, but it was still a huge blow to his clan and most of the men died. Luckily, Danzos actions were enough to get him killed. He has his younger brother Itachi, a prodigy in his own right. His genin students are Kakashi, son of the white fang, Obito, one of the last Uchiha, and Rin, a promising healing kunoichi with a dark secret.

Jariya joins the Akatsuki with their justice and peace ambitions after seeing Naruto’s potential and reuniting with Konan, Yahiko and Nagato. Orochimaru doesn’t leave the village, being inspired by Sasukes growth to stick around. Tsunadae also doesn’t leave, inspired by Sakuras growth. Minato however, does leave the village after losing his son and wife, and goes into a drunken gambling fit, becoming a shell of what was once the yellow flash of the leaf. He’ll have a built in redemption to replace the Tsunadae arc.

Okay okay, but what happens to Naruto and Jiraya? How does the Ame trio work here? What is little Rin's big secret? Does three tails Sakura fight as well?? How stressed is Sasuke-sensei? I have so many questions, please tell me you're writing it sonewhere??

Minato & Kushina: A "Deep Dive" Analysis (Section B, Part I)

In our first section we explored Minato and Kushina's love and endurance. In this section we will consider their dream of Hokage and impact on the wider plot.

(Section B) Minato and Kushina as drivers in the world narrative

Note that I said their dream of Hokage, not Minato’s dream of Hokage. Not because they both want to become Hokage, but because, as we established, Hokage is intertwined with their marriage.

(B) I. Minato and Kushina as the image of Hokageship

Chronologically, the first words uttered by both Minato and Kushina concern becoming Hokage. But while similar on the surface, their utterances spring from contrasting motives.

Minato wants to be respected by the village. Kushina wants to not be snubbed. Each is seeking to be acknowledged, but a different form of acknowledgement.

Minato is a once-in-a-generation genius. He will graduate the Academy at 10. He will set the record for the highest ever score on the chūnin written exam. He will be honing the Flying Raijin by the time he is 15-16, by which time Kurama will think of him in respect to the greatest shinobi who ever lived. From this, one can sum that Minato is destined to become Hokage. Yet at the same time, paradoxically, his birth sets him apart.

The non-mention of other Namikazes implies that he is not from a ninja family – or, that he is from a ninja family with no reputation. Either way, Minato is a genius born in an underdog background, and thus has the complete freedom to pursue the Hokage path. And that path he himself has chosen out of desire to be the leader and light of Konoha, his favorite phrase per the databook being 火の影は里を照らす (“the fire’s shadow illuminates the village”).

What is Minato’s sought “respect” then? To be relied upon as THE shinobi who illuminates the village. For Kushina this is not the case. She simply wants to be SOMEbody.

[As we noted last section, with her motive in these screens, Kushina is never, ever shown pursuing Hokageship. So let us bury all distortions of her as a 'girl boss' who 'had her dream stolen by' the man she loves. And let us bury the demeaning of Minato along with it as some 'male wife' who 'fulfilled his girl's dream because she couldn't.' To the fans who insist that Kushina's character was diminished through Minato becoming Hokage, I leave one question: is it a shame and disgrace for a wife to uplift and support her husband?]

Brought to Konoha from a foreign land, Kushina just wants to fit in. But opposite to prodigy-from-nobody-clan Minato, her bloodline has her shackled to a destiny of rejection.

Which brings us to another thing that Kushina’s hair symbolizes: her ‘otherness.’ We’ve seen this motif with other characters before. Sakura is teased for her big forehead and Hinata is called “Byakugan Monster” for her eyes. Sakura’s source of misery becomes her source of prowess: she hones the Byakugo Seal on that forehead, and it becomes her trump card through which she saves hundreds during the War. Bullied for her “weird, freaky eyes,” Hinata likewise improves her use of the Byakugan, eventually proving her worth as the Hyūga heiress.

Kushina is teased when really, as we’ve observed, her “ugly” “lustrous” hair implicates beauty and strength. But in contrast to Sakura and Hinata, Kushina stands up to her bullies in her own strength (Sakura gains confidence through Ino’s compassion, and Hinata from Naruto). And this contrast is immensely important for, as we’ve established, Kushina’s endurance is the core of Minato’s drive.

Kushina’s endurance, recall, is the reason Minato fell in love with her, and why he calls her the one “that made [him] the Fourth Hokage” (as we'll examine shortly). And Minato’s love is the thing that enables Kushina to overcome fate; to live a life of happiness despite being a jinchūriki. For while Kushina’s endurance draws Minato toward her, it results in her being further set apart as the 'other.' She defends herself; Minato reveres her more; their peers despise her more. The divide between Kushina and their generation grows, held in the title they give her: “Red-hot Habanero.”

She cannot escape her destiny of loneliness. She is doomed for being the jinchūriki; doomed for being a red-haired Uzumaki; and doomed for kicking back through her own efforts. Yet her efforts draw Minato to her, setting Minato apart from their peers in parallel.

What is the importance of this parallel divide? We will get to that shortly. But first there some details to note on Minato's otherness (his distinction from their peers).

Minato as the “Yellow Flash” is directly tied to a Hokage (it is his use and adaptation of Tobirama’s Flying Raijin that earns him fame and fear). Put short, Minato’s earning of Konoha’s respect is already bound to Hokageship: he is, in will, genius and prowess, walking in his forerunners’ footsteps.

Furtherly significant is Kurama’s comparing of Minato to Hashirama. Gaiden opens with Minato escaping Bijū Bombs with the Raijin – a homage to Tobirama. It ends with Minato smiling in front of the rock faces where his own will be beside Hiruzen’s. And framed within these scenes is Kurama’s remark grouping him with Hokage ("A most powerful shinobi ranking alongside First Hokage Hashirama... Unbelievable!").

The Yellow Flash rapidly gains renown in the other nations – to the point of him earning a ‘flee-on-site’ reputation. Feats so formidable that the Tsuchikage accepts a peace treaty, bringing an end to the war with Iwa (episode: The Mask that Hides the Heart).

So Minato in legacy of Second Hokage earns respect within and outside Konoha. And “in his own style” he earns “a most powerful shinobi ranking alongside [First Hokage].” In the Fourth War, the resurrected Tobirama will acknowledge Minato as having surpassed him. Furthermore, Minato modifies his jutsu to create new subsidiary jutsu.

Minato has been, through his whole ninja career, gaining the repute to achieve Hokageship.

Academy-Minato begins walking this road. Hokage-Minato ends the road by accrediting it all to Kushina. Recall our panels back in post one from the chapter Thank You:

There is a slight variation in the anime’s account from “your” man to “a” man (for Japanese has no indirect articles and omits pronouns in conversation). In addition, anime-Minato makes this statement over an image we’ve seen before: his genin-self holding genin-Kushina in his arms the day he'd rescued her. This shot, in addition to the dialogue, is framed from Minato’s viewpoint, inferring that he sees this event and resulting bond with Kushina as the statement’s fruition.

The day Kushina fell for him, in other words – the day (from which) she became his woman – was the very day (from which) she in Minato's own view “made him a man.” What transpired up to that moment? He had been watching her endure. And now he has stepped in to be her strength in a battle that is beyond her.

The differing English translations both capture the essence of Minato’s words. He could not have become Hokage without Kushina – without her ‘making him a man’ who self-sacrificially loves, leads, protects and provides. And he could not have become Hokage without her ‘making him her man’ – without her deciding to be his wife; to selflessly love, support and build him up, bringing out his best. Furthermore, birthing their child, Kushina makes Minato a father. Mirroring this as Hokage, he is the patriarch of the village.

Now onto the importance of the 'otherness' divide: Kushina symbolically ‘qualifies’ Minato to become Hokage through their distinctions from their peers. And these qualifications are reached through two ‘tests,’ if you will, which each center around him saving her.

The first test is our mentioned genin rescue, where Kushina embodies the outsider. Here she is the lowest-esteemed villager, the foreigner shunned by the village. Minato alone notices the trail of her hair she left behind and saves her. Minato alone tells her that she is “one of [them].” He proves that he is devoted to protecting EVERYONE in his village, in a conflict between Konoha and Kumo – a fight between villages.

Most importantly of all, it is in this moment that he wins Kushina’s acknowledgement. The acknowledgement of the hardest-to-win-over villager, the acknowledgement of the outskirt 'other.'

The second test is the teenage rescue, where Kushina is the jinchūriki. Here she represents Konoha’s balance of power in the world. If a village loses its bijū it is vulnerable to destruction by the other nations. Protecting Kushina thus means – in the village context – everything, and is the ultimate test of Minato’s physical, mental and intellectual worthiness. Simply put, all together, it is a test of his own endurance.

Rescue One is the test of acknowledgement, and Rescue Two is the test of endurance. The two qualities underpinning the entirety of one's enablement to become Hokage.

So what have we then? While Minato brings Kushina to breaking the shackles of her destiny, Kushina brings Minato to fulfilling his destiny.

We also see the monumental impact of Kushina’s sealing jutsu. On the night of their deaths, Minato uses two to save the village: the Eight Sign Seal and the Reaper Death Seal. Both of these techniques are Uzumaki clan jutsu taught to Minato by Kushina.

In other words, Kushina indirectly gives Minato the means of saving the village.

[The Reaper Death Seal was designed by Uzumaki to be used by Uzumaki. The caster sacrifices his or her chakra to the Reaper in proportion to the chakra being sealed. If cast by an Uzumaki then – with chakra reserves exceeding an enemy's – that Uzumaki need not die. That Minato sealed half of Kurama away at the cost of his life is a testament to just how much of a powerhouse he is!]

The Reaper Death Seal has even further ties to Hokageship – Hiruzen using it to seal his Edo-forerunners during the Konoha Crush arc. Though it was taught by Kushina, it is known as one of Minato’s signature jutsu, Hiruzen calls it his own “trump jutsu,” and it – literally – unites the first four Hokage in death (the spirits of each, after Hiruzen’s sealing, being trapped in the Reaper’s belly).

So we've examined ‘Hokage’ in relation to Minato and Kushina's oneness. The next post will explore their dream behind the Hokage image.

“So (Y/N), what do you say about staying with the MSBY Jackals for this month huh?”

They explained everything together and you were NOT happy

“It’s just for a month, (Y/N) and after the month is over, you’ll be back with us like you usually are.”

When you open the door, it looks like you already predicted the future

Lots of yelling, Sakusa and Miya looking ready to kill each other, Bokuto and Meian holding them back, volleyballs flying in every direction

Still with a blank expression, you begin to turn and walk out when Coach Foster calls out to you

“(Y/N)! You made it!“ 

Nine heads turn into your direction

It’s a stampede

Questions flying from everyone, from „Have you lost your way?“ to „Finally had enough of the bird brains?“

After introductions, the first week was not too bad

Sure, it’s a lot more chaotic than what you are used to

Someone always makes sure you’re safe and not overwhelmed by three certain rascals

After three weeks and a recent win against EJP Raijin, you and the team went out for drinks for your last night with the Jackals

4 glasses of wine and three Tequila shots later, you’re already at your limit and Meian or Shūgo, as you’re suppose to call him, is slightly intoxicated but not as bad as you

The two of you stumble across the sidewalk, leaning into each other while giggling like teens in love

As soon as you reach the train platform, you look into Meian‘s beautiful dark orbs and it seems like you two are magnets, because your soft lips collide with his own

The magical moment was interrupted by a police officer that scolds you both of the pda and to keep it low or at least wait until you’re both home

Utterly embarrassed you both apologize but you can still see the fire and passion swimming in his eyes from your steamy make out mere seconds ago

It seems like you’re both thinking the same thing because you’re inviting him to stay over at your place

The night is full of pleasure-filled moans, heavy pants and the sound of your headboard knocking against your wall for hours

Bless the stamina of a professional athlete

The next day, you wake up with the biggest headache of a lifetime and a body so sore, that it takes you a full hour to get out of bed

Looking in the mirror you notice multiple dark patches decorating the side of your neck

On the side of your hips you see very faint scratch marks

Images of last night filled your mind and you almost scream for hooking up with the captain

Arriving back the next day at your usual team, Romero immediately pulls you to the side because of your glum expression after a quick chat and summary of being with the Jackals

"What’s wrong? Do we need to beat someone up?“

"You know when you are driving and a bug hits your windshield?”

Romero just gives you an incredulous look, not understanding where this is going

"I am the bug.” You clear out

The Wing Spiker still doesn’t get it, so you hiss in his ear

"I had sex with Shūgo two nights ago.”

“YOU HAD SEX WITH MEIAN?!” He screams out

Ahem… yeah

The rest of the team turns to you, looking like a mix between jealousy and disappointment

"Really (Y/N)? I am so disappointed in you, you could do so much better.” - Hoshiumi

"At least it wasn’t Atsumu.” - Sokolov

"Shit, you’re right.” - Hoshiumi

"Why did you have intercourse with the Captain of our opponents?” - Ushijima

"Yeah (Y/N), you slept with the enemy!” - Heiwajima

"Guys, knock it off.” Your knight in shining armor, Hirugami comes to the rescue

Scoffing in annoyance, you give them the cold shoulder now

Thank Goodness Coach Suzaku wasn’t here to witness any of this mess

All of sudden, the commotion stops and you turn around to see a big tall figure with his black and gold MSBY sweatshirt hood up but you can’t make his face out yet as he sort of hides in the entrance doorway

The guys look extremely tense and almost ready to charge like hunting dogs

"Is… is that Meian?” Heiwajima tilts his head and squints his eyes to see better

It seems like Heiwajima is right because the person who pulls his hood down is no other than the captain of the MSBY Black Jackals

Romero stands next to you with crossed arms and a pissed expression while you are still in shock

Meian waves you over to him and you are about to walk over when Fukurō stops you

"Wait here”

You obey and watch as the Captain walks over to Meian and they both head out of the gym

"I hate that guy” Romero bites out as he walks away to practice with the rest of the team

You can’t take the waiting anymore and quietly head to the door to hopefully catch what they are saying

"I know I shouldn’t be here but-“

"You’re damn right! Be glad it’s me out here and not Romero, he would rip you into shreds.”

"I don’t care! It’s not like we are dating and I cheated on her-“

“So you took advantage of her and just left-“

“It was a Heat of the moment! And that’s why I am here! I do want to talk to her! I am not regretting what we did and I love her!”

Feeling your breath hitch in your throat, your face heats up a thousand degrees hearing Meian’s confession

"(Y/N) are you alright? Your face is extremely red. Do you suffer under high-blood pressure?” Ushijima asks you with concern in his deep voice

"N-No I-I am f-fine. I uh… I need some fresh air.” Pulling the door open hastily you step outside and completely forgot due to rush of adrenaline that Fukurō and Meian are standing outside talking

Both looking at you with raised eyebrows, Fukurō pats Meian on the shoulder once before heading back inside

The captain of MSBY gives you an extremely unsure look, almost looking scared to see you

"How much did you hear?”

"More than enough” You admit in shame

"(Y/N) listen… I am so so sorry what happened and if it seemed like I took advantage of you, I really wasn’t! You’re beautiful, smart and gosh your fiery personality just makes my heart go crazy… I know it’s only been a month we have known each other but the more we spent time together, the harder I fell for you… uhm what I am trying to say is uh… will you let me take you out on a proper date? Like dinner maybe?”

Smiling brightly you agree and make plans for next Friday after his practice is over

Walking back into the gym with the biggest smile on your face, the Adlers find it highly disturbing

At the next practice match with MSBY, you walk off the bus, excited to see your boyfriend again

Romero walks next to you and leans down to whisper in your ear

"I better not see you making out with him at games.” Romero growls under his breath

"Shut up Nicollas”

This sounds like a classic Imai song. It unfortunately didn't impress me, but I appreciate them deciding to take the role of the leading vocals, and how we hear both Imai and Hide. It might be just me, but Hide's tone and colour reminds me a bit of Atsushi's here, something I find comforting (as is his voice in any case anyway), As soon as I heard "Fly high" I remembered "Fly High" and started getting teary. :/ Let's wait and listen to the whole album, I am curious to see what they have created except of Raijin Fuujin - Resorance.

I still love sakura. Even if she's a dumbass. No way am I sticking around for somebody that not only treated me like shit, he left me to take care of my daughter by myself for 9 years and then tried to kill her when he met her. The main reason I like sakura is because of her character development. Instead of being a weak sasuke obsessed character, she actually became a strong sasuke obsessed character! Yay!

Most people won't admit it, but they hate sakura because of some shit she said to naruto when they were KIDS(12), not to mention, she wasn't lying. He was an orphan 💀 but they go and say that she's weak, even after she gets stronger, and like rock lee for doing exactly what she did. (Training to become better) sakura never HAD the same powers that naruto and sasuke did. Yet she still MANAGED on her own. That's why I like her.

I like naruto, just not his mindset. Of course I want to become hokage and protect people that treated me like shit for my entire life! Then he became hokage, and made NO changes for the better. He didn't want to be hokage to help, he wanted to be hokage just because he craved attention and validation. He always wants to save people, and doesn't understand that he's making it worse. Sasuke IS more realistic as a character, and sasuke has had it worse than naruto has. Hate me all you want, but it's true. His entire clan was murdered by his brother, including his parents. And then he was obsessed with revenge, only to kill his brother and then find out WHY itachi did what he did and he had to regret it. All he ever KNEW was loneliness and anger, so he had no idea how to live without it. Naruto never had his parents or siblings, meaning he didn't have to LOSE anything. And that's why sasuke was angry with him.

I also think it's important to include Kakashi though. Not only was he practically USELESS for team 7 as a whole (naruto went to be trained by jiraiya, sasuke by orochimaru/? And then sakura by tsunade. It would've been cold if she trained under guy too but the author HATES a strong female character that isn't evil) kakashi needs to be analysed as a whole, especially with his treatment of sasuke. He claims to have gone through what sasuke did, and then tells him that revenge is pointless and leaves you hollow, and then he helps shikamaru get revenge for asuma. He's a hypocrite. He wins the award for the world's WORST sensei.

I won't even make a separate post for boruto, because there's no reason. The show is confusing as hell, and equally as pointless. Boruto hates his dad for no reason, all the important fights are for sasuke and naruto, naruto adopts kawaki and let's him beat up his son, kawaki seals them away and then flips it to make boruto look like he's in the wrong, there are no more shinobi, Boruto trained under sasuke, and then sasuke was sealed in a tree so now he cosplays as him. Sakura is NOWHERE to be seen💀 (good for her) himawari has kurama (how will she not be stronger than boruto?💀) and boruto has Naruto's abilities (rasengan, flying Raijin- minato, and shadow clones) with purple lighting and all of a sudden he's a god. I'm confused about what the jougan does. He also has his fathers weak mindset about not wanting to kill kawaki, but just wanting to punch him. Sarada has insane potential but of course the author won't let her be great because she's a woman! I hate the idea of borusara because I see them as nothing but teammates. It's like the dynamic between naruto and sakura. She treats him like a brother. She hugs her friend that she hasn't seen in 2 years that's also been framed and ostracised by the entire village and suddenly they're the best ship in the world 💀 Delusion at its finest. None of those kids need to be with ANYONE. Just focus on the goddamn anime and stop ruining shit. Because NO ONE is watching it

I'm not quite sure how to word this properly since I've been out of the writing game for a while but I'll try. So...hear me out.

I was letting my mind wander after seeing this picture and it's very foreboding. It's GREAT and it got the wheels in my head turning. (Now here's where I'm probably going to mess up something/everything because it's been YEARS since I've written anything Naruto related but...)

I've seen fics branch out and have Tobirama go forward in time since Flying Raijin is a space-time jutsu. So I'm thinking about it in a 'space and time' context and wondering if it's possible for him to jump forward while also moving to a different 'space,' so to speak. What if he takes or swaps out the place of a different reality's version of him? What if he lands in a universe where Madara won and succeeded in enacting the Eye of the Moon plan but without the whole Kaguya thing afterwards?

And then I got to thinking more on it, contemplating what other differences there could be. Which led to this universe's version of him and Madara meeting at the Naka River and became somewhat friends instead of how it turned out in Tobirama's timeline. At least getting friendly enough to the point to Madara, albeit subconsciously at the time, sees Tobirama as his even after the reveal of them being from opposing clans. Perhaps it was done by Hashirama because that's his little brother and the way Madara looks at him sometimes is unnerving. Whether or not it's the same as canon but with different players is up for debate because I'm only skimming the surface of this thought. Clearly, things didn't end well for them because, again, Infinite Tsukuyomi happened. But here's where things get interesting.

Madara, upon seeing him actually living instead of Edo Tensei'd, is all, "Oh, so you've finally decided to show up." And Tobirama is very confused because where is he? Why is there a giant tree with what looks like mummified bodies strung up? Why does Hashirama look like that when he saw him hale and hardy yesterday? On that note, why does Hashirama look absolutely terrified when he looks at Tobirama? And why does Madara sound so...pleased to see him when, ordinarily, he can't stand to be within ten feet of him? Madara, taking his moment of silence or a surprised, 'What?' as a means to continue, goes on to explain that he's seen this moment coming and has been waiting for it to happen for a very, very long time. And now that Tobirama's here with any type of resistance being futile at this point, as no one can stop Madara now, he makes it clear that Tobirama won't be escaping now and that Hashirama won't be able to stop him this time. He then tells Tobirama that he needn't worry as Madara doesn't plan on killing him. However, he needs him out of the way to finish what he's started before taking what's rightfully his.

And Tobirama makes the mistake of looking Madara in the face during this exchange and catches sight of the Rinnegan and starts to tip over like he going to fall because he's put in a Genjutsu/sleep-like state but Madara or Hashirama, I'm not sure at this point, catches him before he hits the ground but the last thing Tobirama sees is Hashirama looking so, so scared as he rushes towards him.

I know it's a jumbled mess of rambles but I want to emphasize the danger Tobirama's unknowingly gotten himself into and that Hashirama KNOWS the kind of danger it is. One that he'd managed to prevent years ago and had convinced his Tobirama that Madara was dangerous. Think Optimal Sibling Hashirama if we're going by AO3 tags. But it's not a noncon levels of danger but more like an Uchiha is OBSESSED with him and will burn the world down if he has to just to get to him.

If you had to take Naruto as a student, would you have him using the shadow clone training method from day one and teach him the Flying Raijin?

Well, either way I’d be a shit teacher for him. Kakashi’s the one who learned sealing from Minato and has the flashy moves. If I had to steal one of his kids, I’m going with the girl because she would excel in poisons and espionage. As for Naruto? Well, I’d train him sort of with the shadow clone I guess.

Getting that kid to meditate must be a nightmare to work on any sort of chakra control so I’d probably put him on a Gai-esque training regimen while I had him make a single clone with as much chakra as he could put into it to work on what little I know of sealing and badgering the Sandaime to give the kid his fucking birthright in the form of Minato’s notebooks. Then once the clone is popped, we’re going with my personal favorite training method of my students: pop quiz sparring.

You retain knowledge better when there’s a strong emotion associated with it. Sparring while grilling them on whatever they just read is one of the best method’s I’ve ever used or had thrust on me for retention rates and is good for making things interesting enough to learn.

This is a point based exercise. The kid earns points for every question he gets right and every hit they land on their opponent, and they lose a point for every question they get wrong, with the offer of a prize when the match is over and they have a positive point balance (or when they’re more skilled: five-ten-twenty points).

… I’d start with that, I think. But I’d try and lend him out to other teachers who specialize in flashier techniques whenever possible because that’s sooo not my speed.

The blue wardrobe against his pale skin and hair (I support the headcanon that he's albino, I think it adds so much depth) with his red eyes and face marks. How prettily his eyes are shaped too. I have two.

TobiIzu in the way that they were true equals and I headcanon the idea that while Tobirama harbored the generational mentality that Uchiha were evil, he was also very fascinated by the Uchiha in general because of their traditions/prowess, and Izuna's strength and abilities in particular were so intricate, it was his favorite thing to study. Izuna got under his skin (which amused Izuna) and Tobirama couldn't help but be interested and in awe of him despite his pesky beliefs about the Uchiha. I believe he felt heavy guilt when he killed him.

TobiKaga in the way that Kagami was the only Uchiha ever to gain Tobirama's utmost trust. I want to know so badly how Kagami was able to obtain it. I believe Kagami was a very sunny-personality-type, who inherently understood where Tobirama was coming from and had unwavering respect for him. The beautiful "you are my exception" trope. I support the headcanon that Kagami got his Mangekyo after Tobirama left to be the decoy.

I do enjoy me some MadaTobi/TobiMada, after all they are very similar and they butt heads to it's always fun to read fics where they're stubborn in admitting they're attracted to each other.

unpopular opinion

I don't believe he is prejudice against the Uchiha, I believe his misgivings about them are so ingrained (from growing up as Butsuma's son, having to view them as enemies all his young life) in his mentality that he refuses to give them up because that would mean admitting he's wrong which he never does.

I believe he did his very best to make sure Konoha would be successful and strong (creating the ANBU, delegating roles to clans, etc.) and the fact that some backfired was not his fault. He's only a person and did the best he could with what he had.

Boruto Chapter 11 Cliff Notes

So Himawari has broken out of her tree prison, and she is absolutely DONE with everything.

She hops to the ground with her backwards foot already reset and healed. Then she uses her prehensile hair to lift Inojin off the spike.

Shikadai tells her to be careful, because it's risky to shake somebody with a gaping wound in their torso. But then he gets a better look and realizes Inojin is healed. How does Shikadai know his friend's okay? Because he can see Inojin's abs. (This is a running theme through the entire chapter.)

Himawari says she's not 100% sure she healed Inojin right, on account of she has never been to medical school, so Shikadai and Chocho should take him to a hospital. Himawari says she'll fight Toupee Man alone, because 'with great power comes great responsibility." I know that's not the exact translation Viz uses, but trust me, Himawari is basically pulling a Spiderman.

Chocho doesn't want to leave Himawari alone, but Shikadai convinces her Team 10 should quit while they're ahead. Chocho reminds Himawari she has to survive because they promised to go to the new pancake shop together. And Himawari responds, completely deadpan: "I haven't forgotten. I love pancakes."

Toupee Man is very confused. He knows these kids aren't idiots, so what is driving them to behave so irrationally? Is it the same phenomena that caused Himawari's sudden evolution? What could possibly-

POW! Himawari punches Toupee Man before he can spend the next 5 pages waxing philosophical about the mysterious power of friendship. Then she tries to shoot a Biju Bomb at him, because she is speedrunning the entire Jinchuuriki powerset.

Toupee Man shoots a Biju Bomb back. Poor Shikadai is basically running for his life while chakra nukes go off in the background.

Meanwhile, we see Notsuke on the ground, having just gotten his side blown out from Sarada's Chidori. He sinks into the the black bands, then comes out fully healed. Ikemoto demonstrates this point by dedicating an entire panel solely to Notsuke's chiseled abs.

Everyone starts grilling Notsuke. Who is he? How can he use Chidori? What is his connection to Sasuke? Notsuke then snaps that he doesn't know who he is. The whole reason he's hear is to figure that out!

Sumire warns everyone that Notsuke's target is likely Sarada. But her warning does absolutely nothing, as Notsuke sneaks a hand out of a black band and electrocutes his daughter. Sumire gets electrocuted shortly after and falls unconscious.

(I'm starting to wish Sumire had never been included in the manga. When she first showed up, I was excited, since an artificial jinchuuriki could have been an interesting foil to Boruto and Kawaki's artificial Otsutsuki status. Instead Sumire's been reduced to color commentary.)

Notsuke one-shots the scowling jonin. He turns to Mr. Goatee Man, who gulps and freezes in terror. He's defeated without Notsuke lifting a finger.

Konohamaru at least puts up a good fight. He reveals a new Rasengan shield that can withstand the Chidori's power. Notsuke still beats Konohamaru, but it takes him several hits instead of one.

Back outside the village, Himawari is losing, because while she is quite talented, she is fighting a god. Toupee Man does some kind of blink attack, and Himawari's shirt tears away. The attack was supposed to disembowel her, but as we can see by Himawari's abs, she is okay thanks to her near-instant healing factor.

Kawaki is trying to get there as fast as he can, while Delta roasts him for being weak. Then they see Boruto zoom past. He saves Himawari, then does a Flying Raijin to teleport to Sarada and Sumire's location, where he saves his love interests too.

On one hand, I wish the girls could have won their own fights. But Konohamaru lost too, so I don't think this is a sexism thing. I suspect Himawari and Sarada lost merely because they are not Boruto. Everyone in Two Blue Vortex loses their fights because they lack that protagonist swag.
