#caroline watches kdrama #fly high butterfly #salon de nabi #also like i think the writer of this kdrama. does have genuine care about queerness in korea #becuase in hello my twenties season 2 there was a queer story going on in the background i think #and like not to be like 'season 1 def had something queer going on between two of the characters but'#that said the person sending this text is i'm p sure cisgender #but there IS a trans or genderqueer character in this show too #and while i've heard mixed things about that plotline #and while i have kinda mixed feelings about the exact context of when this line is delivered #it warms my heart anyways #bc like. idk. queerness is not accepted in korea even now #so this line. still at the end of the day. still makes me go :'))#'what can i do? i already like you' is so!!

The line "I don't have any interest in your differing opinions or pet theories; I've locked the door already" in Abnormality Dancin' Girl makes me ☹️. She says she's shutting out everyone's opinions on what she's doing, acting like she doesn't care- but at no point does anyone actually tell her they disagree with what she's doing. No one tells her a different plan or that she's wrong or shouldn't do what she's doing, no one seems to care or notice that her mind is breaking.

For Tame, the attention of others is everything, but she tells herself it's okay that no one is noticing her distress because she wouldn't care anyway. Even if she did care, it wouldn't change anything, since no one is looking. Maybe, if someone reached out to her before it was too late, and gave her 'normal' self some love, could she have been saved?

working in an art gallery and talking to a lot of full time artists has given me CRAZY imposter syndrome btw lmao

#i went to a local gallery today (not the one i work in)#and i was looking at this one artists work #and she used a lot of patterns but didnt go up to her #she came up to me as i was looking at her work like ' hi i see youre looking at my work which one do u like most' like okay #i had my headphones on at the time so it did scare me #anyway im really stuck thinking about her work #like shes got this lovely cluttered and messy and chaotic style with still life in one dimension #and she uses pattern and quilt-like grids and so much colour #and the chaos of her work is by far the best part #how nothing stays in their boxes andeverythings falling #its homely and DRAMATIC. which is a mix that doesnt always go together but is held together by the chaos of her work #AND THEN SHE PUTS COLLAGE QUOTES ON IT 'fly high in the sky like a butterfly'#AUUUGGGHHH it pisses me off so much. REALLY? THATS THE BEST QUOTE? no song lyrics no deepp meaning nothing to express the narrative? bitch #love her style but its KITCH shes KITCH her quotes are KITCH her subjects are KITCH <- lives in kitch central of the uk but WHATEVER #by the way im not exagerrating with fly high like a butterfly she really thought that was the quote to describe this chaotic scene like she #eight years old like what the hell. there ere others too the pissed me off #and then i talked to her and she was like. #Saturday (so in two days) looks to be clear/sunny and 16C/60f so will be the perfect release day #Just taking care of him inside with warmth and sports drink until then #Did I mention that i brought him back inside?#By some miracle he survived heavy hail and storm last night but hadn't moved from the spot I placed him #And it's going to be 1C the next two nights #Butterflies need highs of above 16C and lows of above 0C to even slightly travel #The non stop rain cold and strong wind today and the next couple days would have prevented any feeding or roost seeking #Since they can't fly in heavy constant rain #So he would have probably died of exhaustion cold or predation from falling to the ground wet #He's happily chilling in my heated room atm

i just went and picked up my first grader from school today and tldr he got a blue butterfly stamp as a reward today and proceeded to completely cover himself head to toe in blue butterfly stamps. his face, arms, hands. i now have a blue six year old. he even rolled up his pant legs to stamp his ankles and shins.
