Squid Game is a worldwide phenomenon, and one of the most appealing features is the set designs. You are a passionate set designer. You illustrate your imagination and make it come to life for Squid Game and other popular Korean movies and dramas.
Aside from your entertainment career, you are a mother and wife to one beautiful baby girl and the magnificent actor, Wi Ha-joon. Your love story with him is like something out of a K-drama.
The couple met during the first season of Squid Game and somehow Ha-joon found interest in a lovely woman who taught him how to draw the masks of the Pink Guards. Then, he asked her if she was available after filming. Like that, a spark ignited between the actor and the set designer.
Ha-joon saw that you were the one for him, the starlight who showed him the brightest and happiest pathway in life. So, he proposed a hand in marriage. You straightaway agreed to be his wife and unexpectedly become the mother of his children.
Wi Hwa-young is the cutest and sweetest baby angel.
She immediately received so much love from Ha-joon’s fans and celebrity friends. She has her mother’s pretty eyes and lips while she has her father’s cute ears and elegant face shape and nose. She might become the next beauty queen in Asia and other places.
Hwa-young is also super talkative or babbles nonsense because she loves people’s attention and they just laugh and smile at her. Of course, like most daughters, she is a daddy’s girl. Hwa-young would get excited whenever you say, “Appa” or Ha-joon’s name.
A week before continuing to film Squid Game 2, you told her about taking her to work and Ha-joon will be there. Hwa-young happily bounced in her height chair and squealed. You couldn’t resist squishing her mochi-like cheeks and hugging her tiny body because she was too adorable. It warms your heart that she loves Ha-joon so much. He once doubted himself about not being the perfect father and it’s common for most upcoming dads to get nervous, but for him it’s different.
Ha-joon is an actor with so much fame and will likely be out and less at home. Like the best wife that you are, you assured him that he wouldn’t be the worst father in the world because he truly cares about you and Hwa-young. Ha-joon cried when you comforted him. It also made you love him more whenever he expressed his vulnerability.
Now in the present time, the family will continue to grow happy and healthy.
“Wow! You look like a princess!”
Hwa-young is sitting on the bed as you dress her up. It’s spring so you have her dressed in a pink floral dress with short sleeves, frilly socks, and strapped shoes. You even added a bow clip with a glittery heart in the middle on her ebony hair. “Are you excited to see appa?” You asked and earned a joyful giggle. You etched a smile. “He is excited too. How about Jung-jae samchon, Byung-hun samchon, and everyone else?” You say the names of the famous actors and Hwa-young continues to giggle out loud.
Once finishing her outfit, you take your child, purse, and baby bag, ready to leave the apartment. It’s very spacious with a gorgeous view of the city and perfect for a family of three. You enter your car to buckle up Hwa-young in her seat. She is seven months old and is close to the stage where she can walk. She has been crawling and it amazes her parents how fast she moves. Maybe one day she’ll become athletic like Ha-joon.
You shut the driver’s door and start up the vehicle. “Ready baby?” You reached your hand behind your seat to touch Hwa-young’s small hand. She shakes yours as a response. You chuckle, “Okay. Let’s go!” You begin exiting the parking lot and making your way to the studio. It’ll be another long filming day, but Hwa-young will brighten the mood as you work.
The thirty-minute drive was smooth, considering it was the weekend and usually gets hectic. You arrived at the place and parked the car. “We’re here, baby.” You tell your daughter, who babbles so cutely. You then gathered yourself to help Hwa-young out of her seat and take your belongings. A mother is always carrying a lot of stuff so it’s typical.
You have your ID badge around your neck for access management and a sense of identity. All of your colleagues wear them because working in the film industry is like working in an ordinary job but with celebrities. People must know your name to communicate and cooperate with you. And it’s to show you are working for the production team.
As soon as you walk in, the staff members greet you and Hwa-young, more like going frantic when they see her. She does the same by flailing her arms with a big smile.
After saying hello to the staff members, you go to your office. While going through the hallways in a big studio, you see the cast members are together in a room, rehearsing their lines.
Ha-nuel is the first person to see you and Hwa-young. “Y/N! Princess! Hello!” A large smile plays on his handsome face. In unison, the men and women are ecstatic to see you both.
Jung-jae reaches out his arms. “Come to samchon!” He beams at the sight of the baby. You handed Hwa-young to the star of the show. She instantly got comfortable in his arms. “You’re much bigger now,” Jung-jae said, kissing her forehead. Byung-hun is next to him and he gently pokes Hwa-young's soft chubby cheek. “You look so pretty today. Are you a real angel?” He asked and his index finger got held by Hwa-young’s little hands.
You and the actors and actresses laughed merrily at the precious interaction. One by one, they all take turns holding Hwa-young because she is their mood booster and is clearly enjoying it. Your baby should be called, ”Little Miss Popular.”
Si-wan was the last person to hold her and she squished his cheeks, hard. “Hwa-young-ah! Samchon loves you too!” He cried out through the pain yet allowed her to do whatever she wanted. Yu-ri takes out her phone to snap a picture. “Aww so cute!” She gushed at the moment and everyone did the same thing—taking videos and pictures of Si-wan getting attacked by Hwa-young.
Ae-sim says, “For such a tiny being she is strong.” The oldest of the cast is amazed by Hwa-young’s growth. You nodded, “Ha-joon’s child through and through.” You and the people can see the resemblance.
Then, the man of the hour walks into the room. He is wearing all black, fluffy dark hair down, and the slight stubble on his upper lip is showing. Ha-joon’s appearance looks mysterious and cold but he quickly smiles when he spots the love of his life and princess.
“Wow, this room is cheery.” Ha-joon comments on the upbeat atmosphere. You tell him, “Well your daughter has the effect.” You watch Hwa-young pulling on Si-wan’s hair.
Ha-joon snickered and helped his friend out. “You little mischief. Are you stealing people’s hearts?” He gingerly takes his daughter into his arms and nuzzles his nose against her nose. She squeals at the ticklish touch.
Seo-hwan speaks out of the blue, “Just like her father.” His comment has the cast and you laughing, jovially. Ha-joon blushed and Hwa-young looked clueless. Dong-uk cleared his throat from laughing too much. “She will become a heart stealer when she grows older.” He stated, which has the father chuckling nervously.
“I hope not,” Ha-joon replied in a playful yet stern voice. You sighed and rolled your eyes because you expected him to be overprotective.

lineup but i had 2 cut it into pieces #verticalwebsite but you get the idea
[IMAGE ID, IMAGE 1: A fan lineup of Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, and Sanji, in that order, all post time skip. They are drawn in a cartoony art style and deviate quite a bit from their canon designs. Luffy is looking face forward at the viewer, smiling widely, and holding a peace sign towards in front of him. He's a little shorter with cartoonishly large eyes, ears, hands, and feet. Zoro is standing with his chest puffed out to the side, fists clenched, and glancing over at the viewer. There are no major changes to his design, though he has a mullet for some reason. Nami is smiling, mouth open, and holding her clima tact with Zeus emerging out of it and floating over her head. She's drawn to be more chubby, freckled, and has a cowlick in the shape of a stem and leaf. She's wearing a green button up, that isn't buttoned at all, exposing her black sports bra and stomach. She's wearing white jeans with a berri belt buckle and her regular sandals with heel shoes. Usopp looks a little confused, and is holding the kuro kabuto, with a small plant head attached like when he uses the grow up kabuto move. Usopp's eyes are cartoonishly large and the top of his hat covers the top of his eyes slightly, acting as a second brow. Instead of a long thin nose, he's drawn with a shorter fatter nose that connects directly to his top lip, almost as if his head was a sock puppet. His skin is colored much darker than an in the anime. Sanji looks at the viewer, annoyed, holding a cigarette in one hand, and resting his other wrist on the elbow crevice of his opposite arm. He is drawn with a short torso to make his legs look longer and more spindly, with cartoonishly large hands and feet. His hair is drawn more curly to make his eyebrow, and colored a strawberry blonde. IMAGE 2: Continuation of the lineup, this one has Chopper, Robin, and Franky. Chopper is looking at the viewer, facing forward, and holding a rumble ball in his hoof. He's been redesigned to have smaller eyes and a wider nose, thick human like eyebrows, and a tricolor fur coat of brown, darker brown, and cream for the chest. His hat remains the same, and he's wearing a pink tank top that says "Yay" on it and his magenta pre-time skip shorts. Robin is standing and a three quarters angle, glancing over at the viewer. She's been redesigned to have more jagged hair with cartoonishly large hands and feet to contrast her thin limbs. Her clothes are mostly the same as her default outfit, with the jacket redesigned to have longer sleeves and show less cleavage, the pattern on her skirt simplified, and her legs and feet are drawn as if her pants and shoes are one and the same. Franky is standing face forward, smiling widely, sunglasses on, head cocked to the side, and doing a thumbs up with one of his mini hands. Simplistic chest and stomach hair have been added, matching his hair color. The chest hair is in the shape of a star. His shoulders have been completely recolored to be black with a red stripe, white lettering, and have blue flame decals on them. He's wearing his default pre-time skip shirt and black speedos. IMAGE 3: Continuation of the lineup, this one has only Brook and Jinbe. Brook is playing his guitar, has his mouth wide open, and cocking an eye at the viewer. He's wearing his sunglasses, but they're pulled down to show the tops of his eye sockets. He's wearing his default outfit, the only changes are that the back of his suit is ragged and his pants are a bit scuffed. The floral pattern on his pants have been simplified as well. Jinbe is standing with his arms hanging down, looking to side at nothing in particular, mouth slightly agape. He's wearing yellow and white robe and purple cape from the wano arc. White spots are speckled across his cheeks, sides of his neck, backs of his hands, and tops of feet, meant to resemble the spots of a whale shark. His hands have a more paw like appearance with the fingers thicker and tiny claws sticking out. END iD]

Pairing: Ot8 Ateez x reader AU: fantasy AU | stranger -> mates Summary: A tragic accident left you unable to use your wings and, with that, claimed your father's life, leaving you in the care of your noble uncle. In Hala, a house of eight kingdoms, each boasting its own wonders, you never imagined that amidst the pain, you would also fall—this time, in love. Word Count: 2.8k | 12 minutes A/n: told you, you wouldn't wait that long. Enjoy this very angsty chapter. Warning: betrayal, physical pain, mentions of death and immortality, conflict
Yunho’s jaw tightened at your response, his fingers twitching at his sides. The room, once filled with murmured arguments, now held only silence, thick and suffocating. You could feel the weight of their collective gazes pressing down on you, each man studying your expression, waiting for your reaction.
You swallowed hard, forcing yourself to remain still even as your legs threatened to buckle beneath you. The flickering firelight cast deep shadows across their faces, emphasizing the tension that lay thick in the air. You didn’t know what to say, didn’t know how to process what you had just heard.
Then, from the stillness, a voice emerged—smooth, edged with amusement.
“Well, this is unfortunate.”
The man in a black velvet jacket adorned with intricate gold embroidery stepped forward. The deep burgundy lapels, edged with gold piping, were richly decorated with gold filigree and pink gemstone embellishments, with delicate chains and beads draping elegantly across his chest. The embroidery, woven with floral motifs and shimmering gold thread, glinted effortlessly in the light. Around his neck, you noticed a phoenix pendant necklace resting against the fabric, its design intricate and gleaming. His sharp eyes gleamed as he regarded you, his expression unreadable.
“I was rather enjoying the secrecy.”
Yunho’s wings twitched, feathers ruffling in agitation. “Not now, Wooyoung.” His voice was clipped, barely restrained.
“No more lies, Yunho.”
Yunho clenched his jaw, his gaze flickering between you and the others. Then, slowly, he nodded. “You deserve to know,” he admitted, his voice quiet yet firm. “But not here.”
He turned to the others, his wings flexing slightly. “Leave us.”
A pause.
Then, the man in the emerald cloak moved first. The serpent-shaped pin on his shoulder gleamed subtly in the firelight as he turned, his sharp gaze lingering on you for a fraction longer than necessary before he strode out.
The tall man in light blue, who you briefly heard as Mingi, and the other in the golden tunic, Jongho, exchanged a glance before following, though not without a lingering look of warning toward him. The man in crimson scoffed under his breath but eventually left as well, his displeasure evident in the way he stalked out.
And then—silence.
Just you and him.
The moment the door clicked shut, he let out a slow breath and ran a hand through his damp hair. He looked exhausted—worn down by something far greater than the conversation you had overheard.
“I never meant for you to find out like this,” he said, voice laced with something unreadable.
“But I did.” Your fingers curled at your sides. “And now you have no choice.”
A ghost of a humorless smile tugged at the corner of his lips. “No,” he admitted, shaking his head. “I don’t.”
You took a step closer.
“Then tell me.”
Yunho studied you for a moment before speaking.
“Have you heard of the Primordials, Y/N?”
The question made your breath hitch. You knew of them—gods, essentially, who had blessed Hala and gifted Aetherions with wings. Stories whispered over candlelight during leading strings, tales woven into the fabric of history. The kings were said to be their descendants, though their lineage stretched back into legend.
“Briefly.”
Yunho nodded. “The Primordials are our ancestors. They created Hala, shaped its core. That much, you already know.” He exhaled. “But more than that, they are the Core. And where there is power, there is always greed.”
His voice dipped lower.
“They understood that Hala’s survival required balance. So, they gifted the Core to us.”
Your heart pounded.
“These kings… we are not just rulers, Y/N.” Yunho’s gaze was unwavering, his voice steady yet heavy with the weight of truth. “We are the Cores of Hala—the very heartbeats of this world. The rivers flow because our essence sustains them, the winds rise and fall with our breath, the flames burn because we exist. We are the pulse that keeps Hala alive. Without us, the balance fractures. Without us—” his voice dipped, something unspoken lingering in the space between you,
“—Hala is nothing but dust and silence.”
He stepped closer, reaching for your hand. Slowly, gently, he placed your palm against the mark on his forehead. It wasn’t until then that you noticed his mark had begun to glow, its faint light flickering beneath your palm. The moment your skin met the glowing imprint, a pulse thrummed beneath your fingertips—steady, warm, alive. It was like shattering electricity, crumbling from the tips of your fingers and coursing through your veins, leaving a lingering hum beneath your skin. You barely had time to process the sensation before you caught the way Yunho exhaled softly, a quiet hum escaping him at the touch.
“They knew their purpose,” he murmured. “We are Hala’s heartbeat—guardians of its balance. Our existence is eternal, but that power demands vigilance.”
You swallowed hard.
“But the kings… they’re supposed to be immortal,” Yunho said, his voice quiet but firm.
“But even immortals aren’t free from loneliness,” he continued, his gaze darkening. “That’s why we were given a gift.” He exhaled slowly before finishing, his next words heavy with meaning.
His fingers tightened slightly around yours.
“The gift of a mate.”
Your breath caught. “What do you mean?”
His eyes held yours, unwavering.
“It means we were given someone to share our immortal life with,” he murmured.
His fingers tightened around yours, his voice softer now—almost reverent. “The gods have blessed us with you.”
A shiver ran down your spine, a mix of disbelief and something far deeper—something that curled in your chest, sharp and overwhelming. Your heart pounded against your ribs, the weight of his words sinking into your bones, wrapping around you like an unshakable truth.
“And it means that you…” he exhaled, his gaze never leaving yours, “you are also the Core.”
The weight of his words slammed into you.
“And if you die, we die with you.” Yunho’s voice was steady, but there was something in his eyes—something raw.
“And if we die… Hala dies with us.”
The words struck you like a physical blow.
Your breath came in short, uneven gasps. The room suddenly felt too small, the fire’s warmth suffocating rather than comforting. Your fingers twitched against Yunho’s skin before instinct took over—you yanked your hand back as if burned.
“No,” you whispered, shaking your head. “That’s… no.”
Your pulse thundered in your ears, drowning out everything but the weight of his words. The Core. You were the Core. The truth dug its claws into you, but you fought against it, struggled to push it away, to deny it. It was too much. Too vast. Too impossible.
Yunho’s gaze remained steady, unwavering in the face of your disbelief.
“You’re wrong.” Your voice wavered, unsteady as you took a step back. “I—I can’t be. I’m just—” Your breath hitched. “I’m just a healer.”
But even as you spoke, you felt it—that pulse, that impossible current still humming beneath your skin. The sensation of shattering electricity hadn’t faded; it lingered, thrumming in the marrow of your bones. You had felt it before. You had seen his mark glow before.
You hadn’t been blind after all.
A shaky exhale escaped your lips. You pressed your fingers to your temples, as if you could push away the truth—force it out of your skull before it consumed you whole.
Yunho didn’t move closer, but he didn’t look away either.
“I know it’s a lot,” he said quietly, “but it’s the truth.”
You laughed—a sharp, breathless sound, nothing close to humor. “The truth?” Your chest rose and fell rapidly. “The truth is that you’re telling me my life isn’t my own. That if I die, you die. That if you die—” Your voice broke. “Hala dies with you.”
Silence stretched between you, thick and heavy.
“Tell me I’m wrong,” you whispered.
Yunho didn’t. He couldn’t.
And that, more than anything, made your blood run cold.
Your pulse pounded in your ears, drowning out the flickering fire, the distant voices beyond the door, even the steady rise and fall of Yunho’s breath. You took another step back, but your body felt sluggish, weighed down by the truth pressing against your ribs.
“I can’t—” The words stuck to your throat, a strangled sound escaping instead.
Yunho’s gaze was locked onto you, steady and unyielding, as if he expected this reaction—as if he had already prepared himself for your denial.
“I didn’t ask for this,” you whispered, hands trembling at your sides. “I didn’t ask to be part of this… this bond. I didn’t ask to be the Core, or to be tied to you, or to—” Your breath hitched.
To hold the fate of Hala in your hands.
Yunho exhaled slowly, his wings shifting behind him. “I know.”
The simplicity of his answer made you freeze.
“I know,” he repeated, voice softer this time. “You didn’t ask for this. You didn’t choose it.” A pause. “Neither did we.”
Your breath stilled.
“We were born into this,” he continued, his golden eyes dark with something unreadable. “None of us had a choice. Not in being kings. Not in bearing the Core.” He hesitated, his next words softer. “Not in being bound to you.”
The confession struck deep.
Something inside you twisted—resentment, fear, disbelief, understanding. It wasn’t just you trapped in this fate.
It was them, too.
You clenched your jaw, forcing down the storm of emotions clawing at your chest. “And if I refuse?” The question slipped out before you could stop it.
Yunho didn’t flinch. “You can’t.”
The finality in his voice sent a chill down your spine.
The silence that followed was deafening. The fire crackled, the faint scent of burning wood thick in the air. A wave of emotions churned within you—shock, confusion, and something darker. Betrayal. You lifted your head slightly, your gaze finding Yunho.
Your mind raced through every moment you had shared with him—the laughter in the cottage, the quiet strolls through the village, the stolen conversations in the garden, the warmth of his presence in your home.
So many times.
So many moments where he could have told you the truth, where he could have trusted you. But he hadn’t.
“You knew,” you said, your voice trembling with anger and hurt. “You knew who you were. Who they were.”
You turned sharply, jabbing a finger toward the door—the very door behind which you knew they were waiting, listening in silence.
“And you didn’t tell me?”
Yunho’s face hardened, his wings shifting slightly behind him. “I did what I thought was necessary,” he said firmly, though there was a crack in his resolve.
“Necessary?” you snapped, your voice rising. “You let me stumble into this blind, without even a hint of the truth! I trusted you, Yunho!”
“You let me think I was safe,” you said, your voice breaking as tears welled in your eyes. “But all along, I was in the middle of something I don’t even understand.”
“No.” Your voice broke, trembling under the weight of the truth unraveling before you. The betrayal cut deeper with every second, the edges sharp and relentless. Your words hung heavy in the air, final and unyielding. The raw anguish in your voice sent a visible crack through Yunho’s composed exterior. His wings drooped slightly, and his gaze dropped to the floor, unable to meet yours.
It made Yunho’s heart break.
“No, this can’t be true.” You took a step back, shaking your head as if trying to push away the weight of their words. “I didn’t ask for this! I didn’t agree to any of this!”
“Please,” Yunho said softly, his voice pleading, reaching out to you. “I never wanted this to happen like this. I—”
But you recoiled from his outstretched hand, the sting of his deception still fresh. “You should have told me,” you snapped, your tone rising with every word. “You should have given me a choice!”
“I was trying to protect you,” Yunho said, his tone urgent, almost desperate.
“Protect me?” you snapped. “By lying to me? By keeping me in the dark?” You turned toward the door, your chest heaving as anger and hurt consumed you. “I’m leaving. I can’t do this. Not with you.”
You needed space. Air. Something to make this stop.
“Wait! Y/N!” Yunho’s voice cracked, desperation weaving through every syllable as you reached for the door. “Please, just listen to me!”
His wings flared slightly— his action made your breath catch. You hesitated for a fraction of a second, but your resolve remained firm. You couldn’t stay—not after everything they had just revealed. Your hand tightened on the doorframe, your breath uneven as panic and confusion battled for control within you.
You pulled the door open, only to find yourself stepping into another vast chamber. Unlike the dimly lit room behind you, this one was grand, a private study bathed in soft candlelight. Ornate bookshelves lined the walls, stretching high toward the domed ceiling, their spines glinting gold and deep emerald under the flickering glow. A massive, intricately carved desk sat at the far end, papers and maps scattered across its surface, as though abandoned mid-discussion.
The kings were there.
Some stood, silent and unmoving, their gazes unreadable. Others sat in chairs or leaned against the walls, but all of them turned toward you the moment you entered, their eyes heavy with expectation. The tension was palpable, thick and suffocating.
You hesitated only for a second before scanning the room for an exit. You needed to get out. Away from them. Away from him.
You barely spared them a glance. You were too focused on the exit, on the open doors at the end of the chamber. You took a step forward, your breath shallow, your heart thundering in your ears.
You had barely taken a step toward the open door when a sound behind you made the air still.
A sharp, hollow thud.
It echoed through the chamber, louder than it should have been, reverberating in your chest. You turned—eyes widening, breath stalling-
Yunho was kneeling.
No, not kneeling. Yunho had fallen to his knees before you. His wings flared slightly, trembling as if mirroring the chaos in his heart, while his head bowed so low his forehead nearly touched the cold stone. His hands pressed against the floor, fingers curling as though grasping for something—anything—to hold onto, shaking with emotion.
The room seemed to shrink around you, the kings stilling at the sight of him in such a position. A muscle in Hongjoong’s jaw ticked. Mingi exhaled sharply. San’s fingers twitched at his sides, but no one spoke.
No one moved.
The sight stole the air from your lungs. Yunho —proud, unyielding Yunho—was kneeling.
It was wrong to see him like this—to see him like this.
A king you had heard countless stories about, a ruler who commanded respect and fear, who stood tall even under the crushing weight of his realm’s burdens, was now on his knees before you. His indigo wings looked almost fragile in this moment, their faint shimmer dimmed as they drooped to the sides.
Yunho, who had always towered over you, who carried an air of quiet strength, whose presence alone could silence a room. And yet, here he was, before you, head bowed, wings trembling, a silent plea woven into every inch of his body.
“Yunho,” Mingi murmured, but his voice lacked its usual conviction, as if even he couldn’t process what was unfolding.
Yunho didn’t move.
“Please,” he whispered, his voice raw and broken. He didn’t look up, didn’t meet your wide, disbelieving eyes.
“Don’t go. I know I’ve failed you—I know I kept the truth from you—but it was never to hurt you. I thought I was protecting you. I thought—” His voice caught, and he exhaled shakily.
“I was wrong. I see that now. I’m sorry.”
You could barely move, your hand slipping from the doorframe as your mind reeled. His vulnerability, his utter surrender in this moment, was overwhelming. This wasn’t just an apology. This wasn’t just regret. Yunho was laying everything he had at your feet—his pride, his title, his very essence.
Your heart stammered, the rhythm uneven as if it didn’t know how to keep pace with the sight before you. It felt as though it had dropped to the pit of your stomach, leaving an ache that spread through your entire chest.
Yunho—your proud, steadfast Yunho—was on his knees, and the sight of him, so vulnerable and broken, nearly undid you.
You couldn’t look away. You couldn’t breathe. The man who carried the weight of his kingdom, who wore authority like a second skin, was bowing to you, trembling under the weight of his own words. It was a crack in his armor you never thought you’d see, and it shattered something inside you. You couldn’t lie to yourself—you felt something for him. Something that made seeing him like this almost unbearable.
His next words cut through you, settling in your heart despite the storm in your mind. The sight of him, wings trembling and pride cast aside, held you frozen.
“I beg of you, my queen.
Please…
Stay.”

Sword of Goujian/越王勾践剑:
The Sword of Goujian (Chinese: 越王勾践剑; pinyin: Yuèwáng Gōujiàn jiàn) is a tin bronze sword, renowned for its unusual sharpness, intricate design and resistance to tarnish rarely seen in artifacts of similar age. The sword is generally attributed to Goujian, one of the last kings of Yue during the Spring and Autumn period.
In 1965, the sword was found in an ancient tomb in Hubei. It is currently in the possession of the Hubei Provincial Museum.

【Histoty Note】Late Warring States Period·Noble Women Fashion
The attire of noblewomen in the late Warring States period, as reconstructed in this collection, is based on a comprehensive examination of garments and textiles unearthed from the Chu Tomb No. 1 at Mashan, Jiangling, as well as other artifacts from the same period.
During the late Warring States period, both noble men and women favored wearing robes that were connected from top to bottom. These garments were predominantly made of gauze, silk, brocade, and satin, with silk edging. From the Chu Tomb No. 1 at Mashan, there were discoveries of robes entirely embroidered or embroidered fragments. The embroidery technique employed was known as "locked stitches," which gave the patterns a three-dimensional, lively appearance, rich in decoration.
The two reconstructed robes in this collection consist of an inner robe made of plain silk with striped silk edging, and an outer robe made of brocade, embroidered with phoenixes and floral patterns, with embroidered satin edging. Following the structural design of clothing found in the Mashan Chu Tomb, rectangular fabric pieces were inserted at the junction of the main body, sleeves, and lower garment of the robe. Additionally, an overlap was made at the front of the main body and the lower garment to enlarge the internal space for better wrapping around the body curves. Furthermore, the waistline of the lower garment was not horizontal but inclined upward at an angle, allowing the lower hem to naturally overlap, forming an "enter" shape, facilitating movement.
The layered edging of the collars and sleeves of both inner and outer robes creates a sense of rhythm, with the two types of brocade patterns complementing each other, resulting in a harmonious effect. Apart from the robes, a wide brocade belt was worn around the waist, fastened with jade buckle hooks, and adorned with jade pendants, presenting an elegant and noble figure.
The reconstructed hairstyle draws inspiration from artifacts such as the jade dancer from the late Warring States period unearthed at the Marquis of Haihun Tomb in Nanchang, and the jade dancer from the Warring States period unearthed at Jin Village in Luoyang. It features a fan-shaped voluminous hairdo on the crown, with curled hair falling on both sides, and braided hair gathered at the back. The Book of Songs, "Xiao Ya: Duren Shi," vividly depicts the flowing curls of noblewomen during that period. Their images of curly-haired figures in long robes were also depicted in jade artifacts and other relics, becoming emblematic artistic representations.
The maturity and richness of clothing art in the late Warring States period were unparalleled in contemporary world civilizations, far beyond imagination. It witnessed the transition of Chinese civilization into the Middle Ages. The creatively styled garments and intricate fabric patterns from the Warring States period carry the unique essence, mysterious imagination, and ultimate romanticism of that era, serving as an endless source of artistic inspiration.

The Delineator, no. 4, Vol. XLVIII. Autumn Number. October 1896. Published by the Butterick Publishing Co. London & New York. Colored Plate 22. Figures D45 & 46. Reception Dresses. Internet Archive, uploaded by Albert R. Mann Library
Figure D 45. — LADIES’ DINNER DRESS.
Figure D 45. — This illustrates a Ladies’ Princess dress. The pattern, which is No. 8621 and costs 1s. 6d. or 35 cents, is in thirteen sizes for ladies from twenty-eight to forty-six inches, bust measure, and may be seen again on page 428 of this magazine.
This is one of the handsomest and newest styles in Princess gowns and shows a charming method of combining rich materials for ceremonious wear. In this instance Nile-green brocaded silk is united with black velvet and chiffon in a most effective manner, and spangled passementerie, plaited chiffon and ribbon contribute the decoration. The adjustment is made with great precision by side-front seams reaching to the shoulders, under-arm and side-back gores and a curving center seam and the closing may be made at the center of the back or along the left shoulder and under-arm seams, as preferred. The dress flares broadly at the foot in front and falls in deep flutes at the sides and back. The neck is square in front and in V shape at the back and a puff ornament of chiffon gathered at the ends and under a jewelled buckle at the center crosses the neck in front; a Bertha frill of plaited chiffon outlines the neck and passes under velvet revers on the front and back. The short puff sleeves flare handsomely and are completed with a band of spangled passementerie. A band of similar trimming covers each side-front seam of the dress to the top of a flounce of plaited chiffon that is arranged in festoon style with ribbon bows above bands of spangled passementerie at the foot.
Contrast, which is so powerful an element in good dressing, may be brought into play in this handsome mode. Judicious yet unpretentious colors and materials may be chosen without a too prodigal outlay. Becoming shades of silk, chiffon over silk, or the richer faille silks with delicate foliage or floral designs are liked for the most dressy occasions, while for ordinary wear broadcloth, canvas, wool crépon and the new novelty goods are commended. Colored embroideries, jet and spangled passementeries, chiffon and lace are all available for decoration.
Figure No. D 46. — MISSES’ PARTY DRESS.
Figure D 46. — This illustrates a Misses’ dress. The pattern, which is No. 8654 and costs 1s. 3d. or 30 cents, is in seven size for misses from ten to sixteen years of age, and may be seen in three views on page 454 of this number of The Delineator.
A most attractive combination of embroidered chiffon over taffeta silk and velvet overlaid with lace net is here pictured in the dress, and flowers, lace edging and ribbon provide the dainty decoration. A well-fitted lining closed at the back renders the surplice waist trim and comfortable. A Y facing of the velvet overlaid with lace net is seen on the lining between the surplice fronts, which have pretty fulness drawn in gathers at the shoulders and lower edges and cross in regular surplice fashion, a floral spray following the front edge of the overlapping front. The back is smooth across the shoulders and has gathered fulness at the bottom, and under-arm gores separate it from the fronts. A ribbon belt surrounds the waist and terminates in a bow at the left side of the front. Bretelles of velvet overlaid with lace net and bordered with a frill of lace edging droop over the short puff sleeves and a ribbon stock bowed stylishly at the back completes the neck.
The seven-gored skirt is gathered at the back and ripples gracefully below the hips and at the back, its shaping causing it to flare prettily at the bottom in front. A ruffle of the chiffon follows the lower edge of the skirt and a pretty effect is given by the floral decoration consisting of three sprays, each of which starts from under a ribbon bow and crosses the front-gore of the skirt diagonally.
There are a host of diaphanous fabrics from which to choose when making evening dresses for young girls. Plain varieties are quite as dainty as the embroidered and printed tissues. Lovely party dresses of silk, chiffon, dotted Swiss or nainsook may also be made up in this style in such colors as are known to be becoming. Flowers, ribbon, lace edging, spangled or jewelled passementerie and velvet are available for ornamentation.

after 500 years, im back to working on line-ups for the oxventure PCs for each campaign, this time the hobby horses :3 as with the oxventurers guild, i put a good amount of thought into this, though maybe not as much as the guild haha but regardless, i'll go into more detail under the cut for anybody curious :]
once again, they all have their own eye shines (or, in barnaby's case, are dead behind the eyes lol), though theyre simpler shapes this time. edvard gets stars, lilith gets a squiggle, kasimir gets a hooked shape, and zillah gets hearts.
edvard - i see him as just kind of. soft around the edges from his rich upbringing, but generally is on the thinner side, kind of rounding out in the middle. very Just A Guy with his build and body hair. i went with brown hair rather than black because otherwise, everyone besides lilith would have black hair and it was just to monotonous for me XD still, i tried to keep it dark and not too bright so it would fit the vibe. also, for some reason i thought his vest was floral until i started coloring this, but it totally is not in canon??? :') i liked it too much to not do a floral pattern anyways.
lilith - i really adore her canon outfit, i just get very confused about the layering of everything. so i tried to do distinctive color-blocked for her outfit, while also restricting her outfit's palette to just purples and teals/blue. i am so bad at drawing snakes. i am so so so bad at drawing snakes XD also, i decided to give everybody at least one tattoo because i just thought it would be fun and im taking advantage of the gritty setting. theyre all cool and tough so they have tattoos and totally not because i just love drawing tattoos lmaooo
kasimir - kas is not much of a leap from canon. i love kasimir's design. i just gave him plenty of tattoos under that massive jacket of his. based vaguely on johnny's tattoos, i did my best to reference their arms but ended up more going off of the vibe rather than copying anything specific. johnny's tattoos are simply too intricate and beautiful for me to do repeatedly djfgbdfhd and okay i say this constantly but my faaavorite kasimir design element is his whale belt buckle. its so cute. i love it
zillah - she was also easy for the same reason, i just adore zillah's design. its simple and very fitting. so i just gave her exactly what she has, but like lilith, i simplified the color palette. since my art style is much more cartoony than colin craker's, especially when i dont hatch or shade, restricting the colors makes the designs look cleaner. i almost forgot to color in zillah's hand wraps by the way and i literally put my hand over my mouth, i only caught it as i was typing this XD it was so needlessly over-dramatic
barnaby - i dont know fully how to explain it, but barnaby is definitely the design i am most pleased with. not because i think he has the best design here necessarily, but because hes just so perfectly what i picture in my head. with a lot of my designs, ill adjust small details based on my mood or i just won't fully be confident in my decisions, but with this design? thats just barnaby. chef's kiss. like edvard, i gave him brown hair instead of black for some diversity. i also kept his very thin hair and high forehead because it makes him so endearing to me <3 no five o'clock shadow though, he has to keep himself looking young
#oxventure#oxventure blades in the dark#edvard lumière#lilith cappellanaga#kasimir jones#zillah bruseau#barnaby fortescue iii#i cant believe i said 'ill finish these tomorrow' on my last post for these. oh my god.#its been over half a year and this took me 16 hours LMAO though i am a bit rusty w lineart and full color

Commissions open!
Here's the character I did:
Race: Tabaxi (Pallas’ cat)
Class: Monk (Way of the Wu Jen)
Sex: Male
Personality: Batu’s practice as a monk gives him a calm disposition - serious but not stuffy. Friendly, earnest and intelligent. A curious and explorative scholar by nature who tries to find the joy in small things. He is the type who would spare a few extra moments along his way to observe a beautiful spider in its web or to take in some particularly fascinating architecture and would be happy to tell you about it, if you wish.
Age: Early 20’s – an adult, but young
Height: Head to toe - 3’ 10” / 117 cm. Tail length - 1’ 9” / 53 cm.
Weight/build: About 60-65 pounds, but appears heavier due to a stocky build and dense fur. You can’t see too much musculature.
Hair color/Style: I’ve put this in skin color instead since he has fur
Eye color: Dark yellow with a bit of green. His pupils are round instead of slit.
Skin Color: His fur is an even mix of grey, white, brown, and black all over his body that helps to blend in with a rocky environment. On his forehead going towards the top of his head are a handful of small black spots. Starting at the outer and inner corners of his eyes and going diagonally downward are two black stripes flanking one white stripe. Under his neck and chin is a small mane with whiter coloring. Down his tail are 6 black stripes and the very tip is solid black.
Items/Weapons: Batu uses a short sabre, similar in style to a Chinese duandao.
The sword has been crafted for one of his size and stature, and so it's not oversized. Modest in appearance with no special decoration. He carries a spell book on his belt, along with a small satchel for spell ingredients.
The spell book has an aged, very dark orange binding with bronze corner protectors and two buckles around the outside to keep it closed. The book is clearly old but in good shape. It is definitely more ornamental than his other possessions, with decorative embossing of a horse head in the middle surrounded by bronze embellishments that are made to look like lightning bolts. Even so, it is not what one would consider flashy.
Clothing top: A dark blue hunnu-style deel, knee length. There are a handful of circular floral design throughout the material, but it is not overly decorative. A yellow sash helps secure the deel around his waist. A brown belt is above the sash, and from it hangs a spell book as well as a small satchel.
Clothing bottom: Blue breeches that match the color of his deel, slightly more form-fitting, that are secured at the ankle with thin brown leather straps.
Footwear: No footwear for this little guy

Analysis of Maria's outfit (In Silent Hill 2 Remake)
So, ages ago, I did an analysis of Maria's OG design, which you can read here. I said I'd do one to remake Maria, and I did, but I didn't expect her outfit to change so drastically. I also made the post straight after Maria was first revealed, so the game wasn't even out yet. That, mixed with the fact that, at first, I did NOT like Maria's new design, led me to be a bit biased with my analysis, so I thought I'd redo it now that the game is actually out, and my initial dislike of her outfit has gone down. It's not a bad outfit; it's just that the original Maria design is one of my favourite designs ever, so seeing it change made me a bit upset. Anyways, here's the actual analysis.
New Maria's outfit features a black satin dress with a leopard-print pattern. Over this dress, she wears a raspberry pink leather jacket that is open at the front, secured with a strap with a golden-hoop buckle. Instead of a golden coin, her choker is now entirely black, with a golden hoop holding it together. She has chosen brown-heeled boots that are very similar to her original design. Consistent with her original style, she also accessorises with jewellery, including a silver ring and a black bracelet adorned with a moon design. It's important to note that her ring is not on her ring finger. For makeup, Maria continues to wear pink eyeshadow and faint lipstick, giving her a more natural and realistic appearance. While her hair still features pink tips, they are now less noticeable than in her original design.
Just like her original counterpart, Maria looks visually similar to James' late wife, Mary. The only noticeable difference is that Maria has blue eyes instead of Mary's brown. Mary's outfit in the remake has hardly been changed. Her hairstyle is slightly different, but she still wears her pink cardigan and floral dress. Interestingly, in my other analysis, I brought up the fact that Maria's outfit reflected Mary's in a darker, more seductive way. Maria wore a cardigan just like Mary, but her's was dark pink. She also wore a patterned dress, but Maria's was an animal-patterned skirt whilst Mary's was a floral-patterned dress. Both wore rings, but Mary's was her wedding ring whilst Maria's was just jewellery.
Here, Maria's new outfit is MORE similar to Mary's attire. Maria now wears a dress instead of a two-piece, and it's layered with pink outerwear just like Mary. Her dress is still patterned with animal print instead of flowers, but it's more subtle than the original design. Most of her rings have been removed, except for ONE, which looks visually similar to a wedding ring, even if it's on the wrong finger. Her jacket is also more noticeably pink. The original Maria wore an outfit with pink and maroon hues, which borderlined on purple in some areas, whilst the new Maria is explicitly pink. It's dark pink, but it's still pink. Mary always wears light pink and white colours, and the new Maria wears dark pink and black colours, which is much more of a parallel to the original Maria, who was similar to Mary in many ways, but at the same time, her outfit was too dissimilar to Mary's.
This has a similar effect to what the original Maria design was doing. It was clearly shown to connect her to Mary, but it wasn't so similar that it was apparent she was Mary. What's funny here is that Maria ironically seems to be trying to be more similar to Mary with her new design. It's ironic because Maria was initially meant to serve as a more seductive and sensual version of Mary, to feed into James' intrusive desires, but now, as time has gone on and James has gone through more and more loops, it seems slowly her outfit is shifting to be more like Mary. This could be why her outfit is kinda weird. I've said this before, but it's not the kind of outfit you could see a regular woman wearing. The original Maria had this vibe to her, too, where her outfit seemed aesthetic and fashionable, but actually seeing somebody out in the street wearing it would be weird. Similarly, we know Maria is a pole dancer, so even then, her outfit does NOT fit her career either. Somebody pointed out in my original analysis that Maria's outfit isn't wholly original; it's based on an outfit Christina Aguillera wore, and thus, it is an outfit real people would wear, but you gotta remember Christina Aguilera is a famous singer, and EVEN then the outfit isn't something she wore out and about it was an outfit she wore to the teen choice awards. My point is that even the real-life equivalent of Maria's outfit is not something a normal person would wear, either casually or professionally. New Maria is the same; it doesn't look like a real outfit, as I said before. This new outfit seems to merge old Maria and Mary's clothes until we're left with a strange blend between a pop star's sexy leopard-print-themed maroon outfit and a regular woman's pastel floral outfit. Like I said in my original analysis, it's a very uncanny valley, which makes sense since the entire town of Silent Hill is rather uncanny.
Now, that's the end of my actual "outfit" analysis, but I have more to say about her new character below.
Now, a thing I want to mention that I didn't bring up in my original analysis is her personality. The new Maria seems less manipulative and more natural than her original counterpart, which adds to the popular theory that this game is actually one of the many loops James goes through in Silent Hill. It makes sense that she'd adapt to better suit James' needs after being rejected many times. Of course, she'd never fully satisfy him; even the "Maria" Ending leaves her sick and likely dying. Her new outfit seems like a reflection of this, along with her new personality. She starts off like regular Maria, and then as time goes on and James resets hundreds of times, dying or ending up back in Silent Hill, Maria slowly evolves and changes to be more like what James really desires: Mary. Her outfit would reflect this, and although she'd be more like Mary, she'd still keep her seductive allure as a means to tempt James. Adding to this theory, in the endings, whenever James rejects Maria, she is more sympathetic than initially. In the original, she is pissed and instantly turns into a monster to attack James. In the new one, she cries and is so desperate to get James to like her, even though she subconsciously knows she's already been rejected many times. A thing I noticed is that in the original game, when she transforms, it's because she's pissed James rejected her. Here, after James rejects her and tries to be nice about it, Maria initially doesn't transform, and after she stops crying, she says she can't let him go. The way she says it reads to me like she's had this conversation many times and is so desperate that she says shit like this.

Brazil is a difficult country to be represented due to its large ethnic and cultural diversity. As we do not have only one traditional clothing, I decided to add to her casual clothing some cultural aspects and details.
Mayara is a parda (mestiza/mixed) woman. She has long dark curly hair and bright hazel eyes (they're not green) with a small mark below her left eye (Portugal's influence).
(The images above are some examples of Brazilian women that inspire Mayara's appearance).

Her basic clothing is composed of a white lace blouse and a tiny turban made of floral green chita cloth.
She wears simple jeans shorts with a guaiaca (gaucho belt) decorated with an Aparecida buckle.
Her earrings are based on indigenous (povos originários) earrings, made of beads and feathers.
Her sandals are made of leather; they're traditional sandals worn in the Northeast region of Brazil.

US First Ladies Inaugural Gowns
Mary Lincoln
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/6f83d137d193a750c2a80b9b8ef297fb/a6421ff387a4dd2b-82/s540x810/ea0ff726a8e28f732f1eed8d5e1d8b7b7a13137f.jpg)
it is not confirmed what, exactly, Mary Todd Lincoln wore to the inauguration celebrations, but it’s believed that she wore the same dress in this photo taken after the event. It features the highly fashionable crinoline skirt of the mid-19th century, which is festooned with ruffles and a florets pattern. She accessorized with fresh flowers, worn like a garland sash across her bodice and in her hair. Mary, notably, frequently wore clothing by designer Elizabeth Keckley—a former slave—once she was in the White House. via Vogue.
Caroline Harrison
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/0c004cec10bd2c942437813c3ac796d3/a6421ff387a4dd2b-9a/s540x810/4567efd3dd9e644ac8c6de02a44699dc5502e84b.jpg)
In keeping with the America First economic policy of her husband, Benjamin Harrison, Caroline’s gown was an "All-American" creation, made in New York City by William Ghormley's firm, Ghormley, Robes et Manteaux. The Logan Silk Company in Auburn, New York, produced the fabric for the dress, while Indiana artist Mary Williamson designed the brocaded silk fabric in a pattern of Burr Oaks in tribute to Benjamin Harrison's grandfather, President William Henry Harrison. via seniorwomen.com
Ida McKinley

The dress was made of silk with a lace bodice on top. The sleeves draped down her arms and she also wore a lengthy train. Mrs. Roosevelt paired the gown with jewelry and a crocheted fan.
When the Smithsonian came looking for a donation from Edith, she didn’t have much to offer, as she tended to “reinvent” her dresses after wear. Once she was finished with a gown, she would rip it apart and use the materials to create new dresses and other outfits. The bottom half of her inaugural dress was donated to the Smithsonian with a professional recreating the bodice. via thevintagenews.com

The dress was a white silk chiffon number covered in floral embroidery and accompanied by a lengthy train. The fabric was detailed with appliqués and sewn-on rhinestones, and the sleeves had crystals hanging from them. The neckline was unique in that it was square, and Helen paired the beautiful gown with elbow gloves and a matching lace choker. via thevintagenews.com

CHAPTER 14 - THE SERPENT'S SHADOW
Summary: Rook and Lucanis take time out to attend Caterina's funeral in Treviso. Rook struggles against the reminder of who she used to be as Viago's protégé; Lucanis tries to keep it together for this one night but his cousin is making that difficult, dragging him into his campaign for First Talon. (Split POV) Triggers: alcohol, grief, death, thoughts of death, PTSD, and panic attacks Full Chapter: here Preview:
“I’m still not sure why this is necessary,” Rook grumbled while she fussed with the buckle of the chatelaine belt around her waist for the dozenth time, unsatisfied with how the chains hung at her side.
She’d designed it herself a few years back. The belt was Antivan leather, stained black, and carved -- the floral motif evocative of the famous ivy that grew throughout most of the country. It’s buckle was hidden behind the ornate silver chatelaine hook, a pair of adders knotted together but pulling in separate directions that sat perfectly over her hip bone. Fashioned to imitate the belts of noblewomen, its accessories disguised her particular tools of the trade. Poison in a perfume vial. A corrosive hidden within a tiny flask meant for smelling salts. Lockpicks that looked like decorative charms. A pot for rouge filled with wax for impressions. The belt was beautiful and clever and she’d hated to leave it behind.
In her haste to leave Antiva, she’d left behind most all of her belongings, few enough that there were, but none she’d grieved nearly so much. But she’d have had no use for it with Varric. Theirs was not a contract that had required very much subtlety -- at least, not of the sort that couldn’t be bought.
Rook frowned at her reflection in Teia’s vanity mirror. The gown she wore was hers, too, though dug out from the back of whatever remained of her wardrobe. Part of her was grateful to know her things had been looked after -- though by whom, and where they were now, she refused to ask. Gowns like this one were hardly things she collected for herself. Each one had been purchased for a job (or with a job in mind) and each one was attached to a memory. This one had never been worn, however, but she remembered exactly what it had been for. Rather, she remembered what her role was meant to have been because that job had been ruined by her move with the Antaam, too. She hadn’t known they were connected until after but the fact remained.
Tailored to fit close to the body, it clung to her chest and hips in a way that left little to the imagination -- and nowhere to hide a weapon. Epaulettes of scale-shaped mail capped each shoulder of the fitted sleeves and the skirt was split on each side, baring her leg to the middle of her thigh each time she walked. The neckline was hardly any more modest, plunging low enough to see the top of the tattoo in the middle of her sternum. Her frown deepened. It was hardly the sort of get-up appropriate for a funeral, least of all for that of the former First Talon.
At least it’s black, she thought wryly.
“Why is any of this necessary?” Viago mused from the desk across the room. He didn’t look up from the letter he was penning, but he flourished an annoyed hand in her direction. “Acknowledgment of the First Talon’s death must be made so we can get on with decided the next.” His quill paused. “And you know how Teia is.”
“Yes,” Rook said, her eyes rolling toward the ceiling. “But why must I be dressed like this?” She waved a hand at her ensemble.
“There is a dress code,” he replied and she could hear the irritation in his voice even before he turned. A thick black brow arched into his hairline as he turned in his seat, leveling a less than patient look at her. His eyes flicked briefly toward the door, mouth flattening. It was a warning he didn’t need to speak aloud. She knew the plan.
Rather, she knew Teia’s plan.
She also knew Viago’s version of the plan.

FASHION CREDITS: LADY GAGA BY ETHAN JAMES GREEN FOR VOGUE US OCTOBER ISSUE
I was highly expecting for Lady Gaga to land a Vogue cover and here we are, covering the October issue of the American Vogue. The photoshoot, which is highly inspired by her role as Harley Quinn in "Joker: Folie à Deux", was lensed by Ethan James Green.
Styling: Alex Harrington, makeup: Sarah Tanno-Stewart, hair: Frederic Aspiras, nails: Kim Truong using Glitterbels, tailors: Hailey Desjardins and Egle Paulauskaite, set design: Marla Weinhoff.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/ccba622094acd780875974424e4ef3d0/d7ec2a65ecf02400-1d/s540x810/b84498317a000876fbc96831395133407d9e3c2e.jpg)
Photographed during her stay in Paris in July this year, the cover photo showcases Gaga in the blue embroidered trompe-l’œil synthetic hair coat made in collaboration with hairstylist Gary Gill from Balenciaga‘s 53rd Fall/Winter 2024 Haute Couture collection!
An iconic silhouette by now, Gaga rocks a pair of her favorite Marc Jacobs Fall/Winter 2016 Kiki buckled black leather platform boots!
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/3ddb9858e7c1f5878f343f6636cf3a5a/d7ec2a65ecf02400-ae/s540x810/639bc6eeb49f89aad4e79d59b5ecef8d11fdb022.jpg)
The mixture of couture, high-end designers and emerging talent is immense in this editorial as Gaga wears the grunge-inspired Hodakova Fall/Winter 2024 argyle double knit sweater in this hauntingly beautiful shot. The sweater is an old Wolsey piece which was upcycled.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/139039d07ce2953d24539242655bf303/d7ec2a65ecf02400-a9/s540x810/6759f8a97de8701228dcaeb96d2923736cfbe5d8.jpg)
Hyperventilating is an UNDERSTATEMENT. I fell in love the moment John Galliano sent out his girls down the dramatic runway and ever since I was hoping to catch Gaga in one of the designs. Never would‘ve thought she‘d even get a whole custom look!
Gaga poses in custom Maison Margiela Spring/Summer 2024 Artisanal Haute Couture.
White cotton caisetted cape cut with the memory of an ulster coat, worn over a patinaed knitted silk bodysuit matching Gaga’s skin tone underpinned by a corset covered in jersey and a silicone hip prothèse.
A taped reverse swatching hat in white foam and caisetted cotton, patinaed knitted silk stockings and gloves, and custom Christian Louboutin for Margiela white patent leather criss-cross platform pumps with torn stocking overlay.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/c68fbcace61556982a05ab508d1eca65/d7ec2a65ecf02400-71/s540x810/25cd87d20dcc2751b3f69c4038c9734ae0fb697e.jpg)
One thing you should know about Gaga is that she loves to layer multiple runway pieces to merge a whole new look.
From Dior‘s Resort 2025 collection, a love letter to Scotland, she wore a knitted argyle sweater with cut-outs, a tartan wool maxi dress which she layered underneath a mesh and metallic lace dress, and some argyle socks.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/2a868140a92c6b104b375e61e6620b0d/d7ec2a65ecf02400-1d/s540x810/1904edb67c6b1de07358f010119fa6ca4114f439.jpg)
The Hodakova sweater makes a return, this time accessorized with an antique hand-painted plaque, ruby and diamond in 18kt gold brooch, and a smoky quartz and pearl in 18k gold brooch, both from Tony Duquette!
A shoe that changed herstory. Vivienne Westwood‘s infamous Fall/Winter 1993 Super Elevated Gillie platform shoes make a return, acquired from Pechuga Vintage. You might remember Gaga wearing a boot version of these for her 2010 Elle spread!
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/9ba3fb7f626dcee051c8dd41c6d38f95/d7ec2a65ecf02400-57/s540x810/a332e666e186096798df07b94b126812383925fc.jpg)
A firework of excitement ransacked my body when I first found out that Alessandro Michele would depart from Gucci to head over to Valentino as the new creative director.
LG is, to my knowledge, the first celebrity to rock a piece from the Resort 2025 "Avant Les Debuts" (Before the Beginning) collection – a pale-yellow chiffon mini dress with high collar, tiered ruffle puff sleeves and floral micro-element embroidery all over!
Paired with custom Maison Margiela distressed stockings and custom Christian Louboutin platform heels.

Gaga is working it in a bi-colored statuesque coat seen on Yohji Yamamoto‘s Fall/Winter 2024 "A Seamless Parable on Cubism" runway.
Rather than canvas and paint, Yamamoto’s medium is fabric and more than ever, it felt like he let his instinctual side take the wheel. Case in point: He said he couldn’t talk about how he’d arrived at these silhouettes. "During fittings, I can change, I can touch", he said with finality.
The look was crowned with a custom Vivienne Bow hat made of voluminous moiré fabric by emerging designer Andrew James!

One of the "Antwerp Six" designers, Dries Van Noten bid farewell earlier this Summer and decided to leave the fashion scene with a bang by celebrating his legacy at his final Spring/Summer 2025 collection where this epic embroidered cashmere coat is from.
Both her Tah ornamental black double-faced wooly cashmere hat with engraved metal accents ($2,700)...

...and Duras double-breasted boxy oversized coat rendered in bonded viscose with peaked lapel ($6,750) are from The Row's Resort 2025 lookbook.

Gaga is the first ever person to wear this vintage Givenchy by Alexander McQueen Fall/Winter 1999 "Execution of Lady Jane Grey" Haute Couture chinoiserie embroidered silk balloon sleeve coat and bespoke black dress, both sourced from LILY et Cie.
In 1999, McQueen was going through, in his own words, "an emotional turmoil" both professionally and personally. But instead of relieving himself, he ventured into his own despair to understand his inner demons more poignantly. This painful journey led Lee to Paul Delaroche’s tragic but beautiful 1833 painting, "The Execution of Lady Jane Grey".
Like a painter to a blank canvas, McQueen filled an empty room with extravagant offerings: romantic silk ensembles with floral embroidery, 16th-century fur-trimmed tunics, luxurious velvet coats, as well as the designer’s signature leather suits, cowl-neck dresses, and even a heightened-for-couture bouffant piece that paid homage to his plaid.
Dialing in on his inspiration, McQueen presented his clothes not on models but on fiber-glass-headed mannequins that emerged from trap doors in batches, as if the audience were in an art gallery rather than a fashion show.

It's almost unrecognizable but Gaga is draping this Chanel Fall/Winter 2024 Haute Couture black silk taffeta opera coat around her torso. This piece, which served as the show's opening number, features a ruffled neck, bejeweled buttons and a voluminous cut.

ok you totally don't have to do it butttttttttttt like could we get a spare gavi spending eid w/ the reader's family for your muslim readers 👀
It would be so islamaphobic if I didn’t do this (reader is an Arabic speaker. If you don’t speak Arabic, pretend that the Arabic is whatever language you want!)

Drip Too Hard
“Pablo I’m almost ready I just need to- what are you wearing?”
Pablo fought back the urge to laugh at the look of shock-horror on your face. It didn’t seem like the appropriate time. His eyes scanned your figure, wrapped in a beautiful blue dress. The skirt and sleeves were embroidered in gold thread, weaving elaborate floral patterns that cascaded and shimmers across your body. Delicate glass beads reflected the light, throwing fractals around the room. Layers of jewelry hung delicately from your neck and wrists, chiming with every one of your movements. He was used to your face done up, but your hair flowing and the precise black lines framing your face made you a different type of captivating. You looked simply stunning. He peered down at his own attire, suddenly feeling horribly underdressed. His short sleeve shirt and khakis, despite being rather pricey, gave the impression that he was off to a beach volleyball tournament, while you looked ready to grace a runway or gala.
“…clothes? I didn’t know this was a formal event. I thought we were just going to go have brunch with your parents.”
“Right but it’s Eid brunch. Why are you in shorts??”
“Why does this brunch need us to dress like we’re going to a ball?”
Your eyes were wide as saucers, jaw on the floor. You know Gavi hadn’t been around the culture and religion for that long, but you couldn’t process this level of unawareness to his surroundings. You had dragged him across Barcelona to different markets to get fabric and beads for your dress, taking swatches to perfectly match your heels, and even asking him to bring you a specific pendant from his trip to Ibiza. You thought he might sense that the occasion called for something more formal than khaki shorts.
“Come here, Pablito.”
You said, sitting on your couch and beckoning him over. He froze in his spot a moment, realizing he was about to face a potential scolding. He walked slowly and sat beside you, careful not to crush the luxurious fabric you were wrapped in. You turned your phone screen to him, showing him a glamorous photo. Three young men, all around your age, in different colored suits. All of them brandished designer belts with large buckles, the leather matching that of their dress shoes. Three wrists displayed three gleaming watches, all embossed with a crown. Next to them, a girl stood in a beautifully embroidered dress, the glittering fabric reflecting the sunlight. The deep purple of the garment was reflected in her intricate eye makeup, and the red bottoms of her heels peaked through the drapery.
“These, Pablo, are my cousins. This is what they wore to Eid brunch with the family last year and they were called underdressed because one of them didn’t have a suit jacket. Eid is the Muslim Met Gala, and I will not be on the worst dressed list by association. Please tell me you have something else to wear.”
Gavi brought his hands to his temples, rubbing them to soothe the oncoming headache from all the information.
“Amie Paris always sends me stuff and I haven’t opened most of it. Oh and Dolce & Gabbana. You can look through and pick an outfit for me.” He suggested, watching your eyes light up and a smile erupt across your face. You tugged his wrist, encouraging him to follow you in. For the next 20 minutes, you treated him like your own personal Ken doll, dressing him up in different luxurious clothing.
You took a step back to admire your artistry. On his chest rested a crisp blue Amie dress shirt, tucked into the pants of a stunningly tailored D&G suit, hugging every muscle in an elegant and yet drool inducing manner. A black Hermes belt sat low on his hips, matching the black leather dress shoes you had forced him into (“Pablo it’s a formal event put the Dunks away!”). Matching Hermes cuff links clinked softly against the platinum Rolex on his wrist. He pushed his hair back and put on his favorite sunglasses.
“Good enough for the Eid instagram picture?” He asked, smirking as he saw you look at him like he was ambrosia from the heavens above.
“Mhm, almost too good. Let’s go before my parents get suspicious as to why we’re late.”
~
Pulling up to your parents house, Pablo parked behind the six or seven other cars by the property. The gorgeous weather had brought the Eid festivities outside, and Gavi couldn’t help but be struck by the beauty of it all. Tables in white and gold cloths held serving trays piled high with sweet and savory delicacies. Every utensil, from the plates to the silverware, was embellished with gold patterns, forming the shapes of stars and crescent moons. Your entire family was spread across the lawn: parents in the middle conversing with aunts and uncles while sipping on cold juices, and cousins ages 3 to 33 were spread about, running and laughing and of course taking photos.
“While I’m incredibly grateful that you made me change, I still feel a little out of place. I don’t know what you’re supposed to do on Eid.” He said, keeping himself at a respectable religious distance. You giggled softly before grabbing his hand, lancing your fingers between his clammy ones. “You just celebrate. Like Christmas. We’ll say hi to my parents, then we can mingle and do whatever we want until they serve the food.”
“Okay okay, one last question.”
“Yes, pablito?”
“What is that creature on the table?”
You turned around to follow Gavi’s line of sight, a loud laugh releasing itself from your throat before you could contain it. You tried to stifle it quickly as the redness creeped onto Gavi’s cheeks. You didn’t want to embarrass him.
“That’s a roasted lamb, amor. I know it looks a little strange to see a whole one on a tray like that, but it’s tradition. They might ask you to eat the head.”
“What??”
Before you could answer and quell Pablo’s fear, your mother called you over.
"حبيبتي، شو المضحك لهذه الدرجة؟ صوتك كثير عالي"
(Love, what’s so funny? You’re laughing very loudly)
Walking over, you kissed your mother on the cheek three times, hugging her close and wishing her a blessed Eid.
"ولا شيء مهم، ماما. كان خطيبي بس خايف من شكال الخاروف "
(Nothing important, mama. My fiancé was just scared by the lamb)
Pablo followed you over after a moment, shaking your father’s hand and kissing your mother on the cheeks. He thanked them for allowing him to be a part of their celebration, and your mother hugged him once again, reminding him that he was like family.
After small talk with your parents, you and Pablo moved around the function, greeting and chatting with various cousins. You laughed and talked loudly, continuing carefree. You loved watching Gavi interact with your family, culture, and religion. About 30 minutes after your arrival, you felt a tap on your shoulder.
“We’re going to take instagram pictures now, and we were wondering: can we steal your man to be in them with us?” You stated in shock at your cousins, who often payed you and your doings no mind. “Why him?” You asked, amused by how shy they seemed, like children asking if their friend could come play. “Because he’s dripping hard. Plus if we tag him we could get mad amounts of girls in our DMs.” Have to appreciate that honesty.
Gavi agreed to the photos, and stood with your male cousins to take some hot and only slightly cringey photos in front of all the expensive cars people drive to the function. Afterwards, Pablo handed his phone to your cousin, asking for pictures of the two of you.
“We have to get some together princesa. I wouldn’t look this fine without your help.”
Walking over, you wrapped an arm around him and kissed his cheek, eliciting vomit sounds from your family. “You’re pretty fine looking all on your own. Thank you, by the way, for coming with me.”
“Of course. There’s no one I’d rather spend my time with, habibti.” (My love)
Needless to say, that one phrase is what created the best photo. You were looking over your shoulder with sheer joy on your face, eyes meeting those of an excited and lovesick Pablo. He was your biggest blessing.
