Okay, because I'm allowed to be a little weird about puppets and dolls on here, I need to share the new crochet(/knitting was optional) stitch markers I just got in the mail, because I am SO FUCKING STOKED TO USE THEM. I think I want koorime to be scary to the general demon. I'm very over the whole waifish "women made of ice who are bad bc they're cruel to others and to themselves" (no shade to those who like this!! but it just doesn't spark creativity in me). Though, I know this theme is established in yyh before the koorime are described at what little length there is of them. (Favourite example of mine is the cyborg Hiei and Kurama fight and defeat bc its nerves have been removed so as to not sense pain, leaving it vulnerable when it can't feel the plants that grow inside to kill it.) It's just bad combination to use that same theme while ephasising so heavily that they are an all-female race who won't fight back if threatened and who get pregnant easily when leaving their relative safe-zone.

Like, I can get people (demons and humans alike) seeing a child koorime and reaping what they can from them, but I want like!! A situation where Rui joins Yukina in the DT, I want to see a clear difference between how they treat them. I want demons scrambling to clear the way from her, varying between horrified silence and yelling. I want them to shit themselves at the sight of a grown koorime!! Maybe give Rui an excuse to display her powers to show off how a grown koorime would use their ice powers, compare that with Seiryu and Touga and understand "Oh, that power can be a lot worse when wielded by someone lvl 1000".

I really wanna harken to the fear of cold. Fear of exposure, fear of isolation, fear of confusion. I want so badly to watch that one video essay Jacob Geller has on the fear of cold but coming from a cold environment myself, I wanted to read/experience all the sources he describes bf delving into there so I can be sure of my own opinions bf I get influenced by his. I want the koorime to be the embodiment of this, I want them to be agents rather than symbols or "pretexts" (thank you Simone de Beauvoir for this language, thank you Dana Schwarz's Noble Blood podcast, episode dating april 16th 2024 "Lucretia as a Symbol", for introducing me to that quote).

Tsubu Woods - Visited Finfin in Tsubu Woods - He was in the middle of flying around the right tree and singing - He flitted around for a bit before returning to the right tree and singing his song again - Finfin left, now there is only the sound of howling wind - Picture of the Tsubu Woods today (~11am)!

Secret Inlet - Noting the Tsubu Wood's color reminded me to check the Perna Lotus Flowers, relating to an odd observation back in Entry 2 where they just disappeared out of nowhere - The lotuses are still absent. Maybe rollover to Late April really did occur at a bizarre time back then - Heartbird sighting - I heard V-Rex! No visuals to accompany it that I saw. I know in Rem River Bank, you can see V-Rex in the background sometimes, but I didn't spot anything in the background here - Palm Tree Snake! Took some pictures of her majesty

Amile Forest - Caught up with Finfin in the Amile Forest - He was on the close branch when I arrived, but when I offered a yellow Lemo Fruit, he flew off to the far treetop - He soon flew to the left branch, and I took a pic (~11:20am)!

[Something to note is that the clouds in the background are in these sort of cirrus shapes] - We had a nice moment as I dictated out loud while writing my notes and Finfin listened - Finfin flew away.
