I haven't posted anything personal in a while, and I just want to talk about how fucking cool my circle of people are. They all want to help people, and learn new things and craft with me!!! Where have these people been hiding my whole life? First three photos: cross stitch skill share I did with some friends. Last photo: Galentine's Day for Gals in need, making cards and donating women's hygiene products for the Shelter of Flint.

just got stuck in a research loop trying to find any information available online about my chem supposedly playing at a small venue in flint called the local 432 according to a claim on the home page of their website. according to setlist fm they played there on december 3 2002 which is the day after they played the fireside bowl in chicago. they played with underoath and brazil. couldnt really find any other info unfortunately. i spent a lot of time going through the locals website on the wayback machine and i couldnt find anything about my chem playing there but even if it was on there at one point their website back then was very bare bones and hasnt been entirely saved on the archive. maybe someday some pictures or video from this show will be posted somewhere like the fireside bowl show a few weeks ago. perhaps this doesnt matter to anyone else but me but i am from flint and ive been to the local so it would be very cool to get more information about them playing there

40’s and 45’s is a homage to where I was born and raised, Flint, MI. For me it recalls great memories of playing in bands at the Rusty Nail, the Capital Theater, and Local 432. It recalls memories of making lifelong friendships, hanging out at the Torch, The Loft, Hot Rocks, and Churchill’s. It also recalls memories of my friends and I drinking 40 oz. Strohs beers while singing along to 45 records, from which the title comes. It was a great time and I’ll never forget it. I will always be proud to say I’m from Flint. . . . . . . #wscranmore #flintmichigan #artinspo #abstract #artist #artwork #postmodern #contemporaryartcollector #artcollections #internationalartist #paintingsoncanvas #paintings #contemporaryartgallery #artwatchers #artdirect #flintinstituteofarts #worksofart #galleryrepresentation #strohs #bands #downtownflint #therustynail #abstracted #artweek @buckhamgallery @flintinstituteofarts @flintlocal432 @churchillsflint (at Flint, Michigan) https://www.instagram.com/p/CFXb067nGqr/?igshid=19ji8qioh3s4x

2.27 Prompt A
Flint, MI
The water crisis began in 2012, when Flint  decided to switch the city's water source and failed to treat the water with  an anti-corrosive. Three years into the water crisis in Flint, Mich., many  residents still rely on bottled water, and experts say the ramifications are  likely to continue for years to come.  Water corroded the pipes, allowing lead to  dissolve into the water. Even as the city replaces the tainted lines, the  water remains unsafe to drink. Due  to insufficient water treatment, over 100,000 residents were potentially exposed to high  levels of lead in the drinking water. After a pair of scientific  studies proved lead contamination was present in the water supply, a federal  state of emergency was declared in January 2016 and Flint residents were  instructed to use only bottled or filtered water for drinking, cooking, cleaning,  and bathing.
Blight Elimination  Plan
•  Remove 71,000 tons of garbage • Board 4,235 vacant structures, or one out every nine  houses • Demolish 5,500 vacant and blighted structures • Mow 119,000 vacant properties annually • Demolish 5,028 residential structures, or one out of  every eight houses • Demolish 432 commercial structures, or one out of every  six business buildings • Reuse 5,000 vacant lots • Bring 95 percent of properties into compliance with local  ordinances • Structurally and functionally rehabilitate 850 houses • Increase commercial building occupancy by 15 percent
 Baltimore, MD
A steel mill and shipyard owned  by the Pennsylvania Steel Company called Bethlehem Steel opened in Baltimore.  The birth of that plant created many jobs for a majority of the working-class  community. The company also constructed a residential community called  Sparrows Point for many of their workers to live in. This community had low  rent payments, good amenities and was separated by race and class. Many more  plants like this popped up around Baltimore pulling in more people to  increase the population. During World War II, all able-bodied men and women  that were not on the war-front held jobs at factories and mills. Heading into  the late 20th century, Bethlehem Steel had to make intense layoffs reducing  its 47,000-person workforce to 7,000 workers leaving 40,000 workers out of a  job, which led to them becoming impoverished and vacating their homes.  Another company not far up the east side of Baltimore, Glen L Martin’s  aircraft plant who employed 53,000 people closed its doors. Again, leaving  surrounding neighborhoods vacant and creating a blight.
Blight Elimination Plan
Project C.O.R.E,  the Maryland Stadium Authority will oversee the demolition of vacant  structures jointly approved by city and state leaders. About $75 million in  state dollars will go to demolition over four years with another $19 million  coming from the city. In addition, the state plans to offer about $600  million in financing opportunities from the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development for  redevelopment of the sites, including more than $150 million in the current  fiscal year. The spending will go before the Maryland General Assembly and  Baltimore City Council for approval.

In addition, you'll probably find us handy if you ever want to withhold private contact details when completing test surveys and registration forms. Our data is provided to us by Tallahassee industry regulators, communications providers, and local authorities. Fake phone numbers randomly generated by Fake Number are unallocated numbers that telephony companies cannot assign to Tallahassee customers under current legislation. This is to protect residents against the potential influx of phone calls that they may receive should their telephone numbers appear in a movie or film. Were you to make up a random Tallahassee phone number yourself, there is a high chance of your number ending up being valid. However, with Fake Number's free and ethical service, you can have full confidence that all generated Tallahassee telephone numbers are indeed 100% non-working. If you're still not convinced about how we can help, you should read up on the makers of 2003 film 'Bruce Almighty' using 776-2323 as a number to call God, which resulted in nuisance calls across many areas. Please note that the use of any fake telephone numbers generated by Fake Number does not imply that the resulting Tallahassee number has been allocated. It should also be remembered that whilst these random phone numbers will not be assigned for use by telephony companies in the foreseeable future, there is no guarantee that this situation will remain unchanged forever. Ultimately, ensuring that there is sufficient numbering capacity available to meet future requirements for 'real' Tallahassee telephony purposes is likely to be of greater priority.Generate Number By Michigan responds to maintain Bridge Card transactions at farmers markets as one provider ends service

Michigan responds to maintain Bridge Card transactions at farmers markets as one provider ends service
LANSING, Mich. – State, local and federal agencies are working to ensure that public food assistance clients can continue to use their Bridge Cards at farmers markets and farm stands after one provider that processes these transactions at a number of locations announced ending those services.
The vendor, Novo Dia Group of Texas, now expects to continue offering its Mobile Market+ applications at farmers markets until Feb. 28, 2019 – seven months later than the originally announced July 31, 2018, ending date.
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS), Michigan Farmers Market Association (MIFMA) and Fair Food Network said that with the additional time, any potential lapses in the ability of farmers markets to accept food assistance Bridge Cards should be minimized or eliminated for most or all farmers markets.
It was announced last month that Novo Dia Group, a major provider of mobile Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) technology at farmers markets and farm stands, would discontinue those services. This left many markets and local, state, and national agencies that work with those markets needing to act to find alternative methods for processing EBT payments.
“It is a top priority of the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services that food assistance clients continue to have the opportunity to buy healthy food for their families at farmers markets around the state,” said Nancy Vreibel, MDHHS chief deputy director. “We are committed to working with our partners – including the U.S. Department of Agriculture Food and Nutrition Services – to lessen the effects of this change by making state-funded Bridge Card transaction equipment available to these markets. It’s great news that we now have until February to do so.”
In an effort to avoid a lapse in the purchasing ability of food assistance clients at farmers markets and farm stands, the National Association of Farmers Market Nutrition Programs announced that it would help support Novo Dia Group’s operation through Aug. 31. On July 27, the State of New York in partnership with the New York Farmers Market Federation announced a six-month agreement with the Novo Dia Group to continue operating nationwide without any service disruption through February 2019.
This support, while temporary, provides markets and farm stands additional time to transition to new equipment. An estimated 50 of the more than 160 Michigan farmers markets that accept Bridge Cards for food assistance purchases use the Novo Dia Mobile Market+ application. About 35 farmers and farm stands use this technology for their individual businesses.
“Although this unfortunate situation is one that we want to ensure does not impact farmers markets again in the future, it is important to note that this issue does not affect all farmers markets and farm stands in Michigan accepting SNAP Bridge Cards,” said Amanda Shreve, executive director at MIFMA. “We are working diligently with affected markets to transition them to alternate equipment and service as quickly as possible.”
In 2017 at least 47,000 SNAP transactions were processed at Michigan farmers markets, totaling at least $600,000 in sales. This allowed thousands of Michigan families to access healthy food and benefited local farmers who sell their products at farmers markets. Less than 20 percent of these sales and transactions were processed with Mobile Market+ equipment.
“This situation underscores the importance of exploring new and improved ways for farmers and markets to reliably access equipment that processes food assistance benefits,” said Shreve. “This is an issue MIFMA has been working to improve since its inception in 2006.”
Access to this equipment made significant progress in Michigan last year when the state Legislature committed state funding for free wireless point-of-sale devices for markets and farmers accepting SNAP Bridge Cards. These devices and service are provided by Conduent, Inc., and Merchant Source, Inc., through a contract with MDHHS. Markets and farmers utilizing this equipment should contact MIFMA as soon as possible, if they have not done so already, at 517-432-3381 to discuss alternative options.
Many markets and farm stands, including Eastern Market in Detroit, the Flint Farmers Market will not be impacted by this issue as they have either already transitioned to the free wireless point-of-sale service contracted through MDHHS or process Bridge Card transactions with other providers. U.S. Home Prices At Least Affordable Level Since Q3 2008

U.S. Home Prices At Least Affordable Level Since Q3 2008
Tumblr media
IRVINE, Calif./ June 21, 2018 (STLRealEstate.News) — ATTOM Data Solutions, curator of the nation’s premier property database, today released its Q2 2018 U.S. Home Affordability Report, which shows that the U.S. home prices in the first quarter were at the least affordable level since Q3 2008.
The report calculates an affordability index based on percentage of income needed to buy a median-priced home relative to historic averages, with an index above 100 indicating median home prices are more affordable than the historic average, and an index below 100 indicating median home prices are less affordable than the historic average. (See full methodology below.)
Nationwide, the Q2 2018 home affordability index of 95 was down from an index of 102 in the previous quarter and an index of 103 in Q2 2017 to the lowest level since Q3 2008, when the index was 86.
“Slowing home price appreciation in the second quarter was not enough to counteract an 11 percent increase in mortgage rates compared to a year ago, resulting in the worst home affordability we’ve seen in nearly 10 years,” said Daren Blomquist, senior vice president at ATTOM Data Solutions. “Meanwhile home price appreciation continued to outpace wage growth, speeding up the affordability treadmill for prospective homebuyers even without the rise in mortgage rates.”
Q2 2018 U.S. Home Affordability Heat Map by County
Home prices rising faster than wages in 64 percent of local markets Nationwide the median home price of $245,000 in Q2 2018 was up 4.7 percent from a year, down from 7.4 percent appreciation in the first quarter but still above the average weekly wage growth of 3.3 percent. Since bottoming out in Q1 2012, median home prices nationwide have increased 75 percent while average weekly wages have increased 13 percent during the same period.
Annual growth in median home prices outpaced average wage growth in 275 of the 432 counties analyzed in the report (64 percent), including Los Angeles County, California; Maricopa County (Phoenix), Arizona; San Diego County, California; Orange County, California; and Miami-Dade County, Florida.
Lowest home affordability indexes in Flint, Denver, Santa Fe, Nashville Counties with the lowest home affordability indexes in Q2 2018 were Genesee County (Flint), Michigan (70); Denver County, Colorado (72); Adams County (Denver area), Colorado (73); Santa Fe County, New Mexico (73); and Wilson County (Nashville area), Tennessee (75).
Among 40 counties with a population of at least 1 million, those with the lowest home affordability indexes in Q2 2018 were Travis County (Austin), Texas (77); Alameda County (San Francisco area), California (81); Santa Clara County (San Jose), California (82); Oakland County (Detroit area), Michigan (82); and San Francisco County, California (83).
Highest share of income needed to buy a home in Bay Area, Brooklyn Nationwide an average wage earner would need to spend 31.2 percent of his or her income to buy a median-priced home in Q2 2018, above the historic average of 29.6 percent.
Counties with median home prices requiring the highest share of average wage earner income were Marin County (San Francisco area), California (133.2 percent); Kings County (Brooklyn), New York (123.1 percent); Santa Cruz County, California (121.5 percent); Monterey County (Salinas), California (100.3 percent); and San Francisco County, California (97.2 percent).
Counties with median home prices requiring the lowest share of average wage earner income were Wayne County (Detroit), Michigan (13.5 percent); Clayton County, Georgia (13.7 percent); Rock Island (Quad Cities), Illinois (15.8 percent); Saginaw County, Michigan (16.4 percent); and Richmond County (Augusta), Georgia (16.4 percent).
Median home prices not affordable for average wage earners in 75 percent of local markets An average wage earner would not qualify to buy a median-priced home in 326 of the 432 counties (75 percent) analyzed in the report based on a 3 percent down payment and a maximum front-end debt-to-income ratio of 28 percent.
Counties where an average wage earner could not afford to buy a median-priced home in Q2 2018 included Los Angeles County, California; Cook County (Chicago), Illinois; Maricopa County (Phoenix), Arizona; San Diego County, California; and Orange County, California.
Report Methodology The ATTOM Data Solutions U.S. Home Affordability Index analyzes median home prices derived from publicly recorded sales deed data collected by ATTOM Data Solutions and average wage data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics in 432 U.S. counties with a combined population of more than 217 million. The affordability index is based on the percentage of average wages needed to make monthly house payments on a median-priced home with a 30-year fixed rate mortgage and a 3 percent down payment, including property taxes, home insurance and mortgage insurance. Average 30-year fixed interest rates from the Freddie Mac Primary Mortgage Market Survey were used to calculate the monthly house payments. Only counties with sufficient home price and wage data quarterly back to Q1 2005 were used in the analysis.
The report determined affordability for average wage earners by calculating the amount of income needed to make monthly house payments — including mortgage, property taxes and insurance — on a median-priced home with, assuming a 3 percent down payment and a 28 percent maximum “front-end” debt-to-income ratio. For instance, the nationwide median home price of $245,000 in the first second quarter of 2018 would require an annual gross income of $61,709 for a buyer putting 3 percent down and not exceeding the recommended “front-end” debt-to-income ratio of 28 percent — meaning the buyer would not be spending more than 28 percent of his or her income on the house payment, including mortgage, property taxes and insurance. That required income is higher than the $55,393 annual income earned by an average wage earner based on the most recent average weekly wage data available from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, making a median-priced home nationwide not affordable for an average wage earner.
