We might get snow and ice and just generally cold weather in my area so I decided to put warmer sheets on my bed. I don't buy sheets often because I still have the same size bed but I put these on and then realized they're on wrong

They're skating upside-down. They must be incredibly skilled.

This is the first of a series I'd like to call
Things I want that aren't currently in the budget
It's my way of acknowledging my wants and my urge to be a consumer while also honoring my budget, being honest about what I can afford, and trying to be more ethical* with my extra money.
I am not seeking influencer status here I'm just daydreaming about what I would/will spend my extra money on when I have a little more of it.
Tumblr media
1. Penny Lane Coat: I had one of these when I was in the 6th grade, it was blue suede with matching alpaca trim, and it was my favorite piece of clothing. If I can locate a photo of it, I will share it. I have been daydreaming about having another since earlier this year, no doubt feeling the rumbling of it coming into fashion again. This one is from Amazon and sadly only goes up to a size 12 but was the closest visual match I could find to my old one.
Will I be buying it?: No, besides it not being available in my size, I can't tell if I want this because it's "in" style again or because it matches the personal style I am trying to build for myself. Also, if I were to purchase one, I would prefer to save and purchase one from a leather crafter, and that isn't something I foresee being in the budget this winter.
Tumblr media
2. Peppermint Bark Candle: Despite yesterday being Halloween, I woke up and swore I could smell this candle. In my defense, there was snow on our #midwest ground, and this candle smells like whipped cream, vanilla glitter, and peppermint got together to make a candle. Last year was my second year getting it from Aldi, and I can NOT wait for it to, hopefully, come back again.
Will I be buying it?: YES. Aldi doesn't always stay consistent in the products they offer from year to year (like the pumpkin breakfast bread they broke my heart by discontinuing this year), but if they have it again, I will probably buy 2 or 3. They are only about 5 bucks, which is perfect for my budget, and instantly make our home feel holiday-ready.
Tumblr media
3. Flannel Sheets: There is nothing. NOTHING. Like nice quality, new sheets to make you feel like a put-together functioning adult. Changing the type you use with the seasons? Psh, you might as well be royalty. I remember the flannel sheets I had as a kid and how they inexplicably got softer the longer I had them and felt like a warm hug. It was the epitome of cozy after a cold day. This set is from Granet Hill and is lovely, with all the whimsy and wonder I look for in seasonal items; however, they cost 139 on sale. For good sheets, it's not a bad price. For a post-pandemic millennial with two kids and a budget...well, you know.
Will I be buying it?: No, well, not this set. Target has a cute set that I admittedly didn't love, but I know they often offer cute kids sets, so I might keep my eye out for a sale. However, my mom has a second-hand business and an inside connection to estate sale cleanouts, so I might just ask her to have her eye out instead.
Tumblr media
4. Snow Fairy Bath Bomb: When I need #selfcare, in the most commercial sense, a bath bomb from Lush is one of my favorite go-to's. It transports me away from our 1970s yellow fiberglass bathtub in our tight bathroom that usually smells like equal parts teen and mildew to a magical fairy spa where the scents of the nearby apothecary are dancing in the air. It’s that good, and if you’ve been unimpressed or worse by the bath bombs you get in those weird I-didn’t-know-what-to-get-you-so-I-got-you-this-spa-in-a-box kits, then I beg you try one from Lush anyway. They are STRONGLY scented, in the best way, leave your skin feeling like butta and put on a mesmerizing show in your bath water, and for less than 10 bucks it's a budget-friendly miracle. I’ve thought about getting this scent for several years but because I’m typically ordering offline and hesitant to buy something I won’t love, which has never happened from Lush so I need to get a grip, I opt for ol’ reliable.
Will I be buying it?: Yes. Not today, but before the holiday season is done, I WILL be treating myself to one of these.
Tumblr media
5. A Real Christmas Tree: This one is silly. It's November 1st, and if I got it now, I would be sick of the cats attacking it before December even got here. I am just soo eager to sink into the magic of the holiday season.
Will I be buying it?: Yes, not this week, or likely this month because My Babe's Daddio isn't into 2 months of Christmas the way I am, but when we do, we will probably be grabbing the same one we got last year from Home Depot; it was a little over $50 and lasted from the first weekend of December until the end of January with minimal needle mess!

Not going to family Thanksgiving because we’ve all come down with terrible head colds.
Instead it’s stay in bed and pjs all day. Order Chinese food and bake the m&m cookie dough I have in the freezer.
This is the first time in over a year I’ve been sick and I hate it. I felt it coming on Monday, negative for covid just a terrible head cold.

Note
He kinda looks like the guy from Lurking for Love
:3
Tumblr media
ok but seriously,, he was heavily inspired by jacob haha 😭 i actually got into redacted by introducing a friend to lurking for love; dude the moment she saw jacob she freaked tf out then introduced me to sam, saying the reason she freaked out was because of how similar jacob was to sam, and how a lot of people depict him to look like jacob.
so i guess im just continuing the tradition 😭😭😭
ft. drawing i made while trying to say HEY THEYRE DIFFERENT GUYS to my friends

Me: Fall! No more sweating! Pretty leaves! Soft sweaters!
Me, remembering that I have a naturally low body temp and need a sweatshirt the second the weather dips below 70°F: Oh no

Sex this sex that, have you ever refused to close your window at night, but it's freezing outside, so you put flannel sheets on your bed? Because it is in fact freezing in my room, but i just slid underneath my flannel covers and my eyes rolled into the back of my skull and have not been seen since, so idk. sex is cool, but nothing beats flannel sheets, I fear.
