sorry to the anon that asked this😭 this has been in my inbox for months because its such a good question and it takes a lot of thinking to answer...

obviously larrys favorite color is pink... right? is that too cliché? what kind of pink? fuschia? flamingo? cherry blossom? hot pink? rouge? We May Never Know... although my moneys on flamingo or hot pink.

maybe he enjoys more exotic, fancy colors... the tones of a white chiffon dress, the bronze and crimson hues of the sunsets in the domisphere, Mauve.......... any french sounding color, too.

buck likes red and blue (especially red). that's it. no fancy pants foo-foo stuff. just plain ol' red and blue, like the texas and american flags!

Hopefully someday soon one of the streaming sites will make a Gormenghast series, because these characters and plots would do SO WELL in current fandom culture, but for now y’all should read the books. It’s Dickensian and Kafkaesque and Good-Tim-Burton-ish at the same time, a period tragicomedy outside normal history. There’s something dreadfully wrong with every character and they clash with each other over and over as they compete to see who will capture the flag of the worst little microstate you ever saw.
