i’m going to london in a couple of weeks!!! #1 rec to do there/sightsee?
HELLO i am so glad u asked ive started going out alot more this year so here are a few i have places in mindd and u can pick and choose!!
1. waterstones in picadilly!!
its the biggest bookstore in london and i think they have like every book ever. like i remember my friend was looking for this crime book published by an indie author like 10 years ago and she found it SO fast. its a whopping 5 FLOORS. and it has a cafe on the top floor?! they also have tonns of special edition and limited edition books and ive seen so many signed copies aswell ^^ picadilly is also such a nice area aswell if u catch a bus (or even walk) you could get to oxford street and all the touristy places pretty fast!!
2. kyoto gardens, holland park in kensington!!
i went to this park a short while back, and while i dont rly like kensington because its a very touristy area, i actually adore this part. kyoto gardens are 2 interlinked parks that are so aesthetic in itself, they have a waterfall mini and little pebbled paths and so many animals!! squirrels in london usually run away but the ones in thid park were actually so friendly (i have a video of one squaring up to me but he was an anomaly) and i was sat at the bench when 4 CAME UP TO ME??? they also have a peacock and koi fish idk its just so lovely and yeah!!
3. shoreditch!!
ive only discovered this place recently while on the way to borough market and its pretty close to london bridge and has soo many shops ^^ me and my friends always go for blank street but they have a bunch of shops and cute cafes and omg im gonna go next week but they also have a cat cafe and ill make sure to report back and tell you how it was!! there was also a claude monet exhibition at the boiler house (idk if theh have it anymore but theyre website said more should be coming soon!)
4. ham house in richmond!!
richmond itself had so many places but i went to ham house with my friends and it was so so fun omgg so basically the house belonged to a close friend of king charles the first and even though theyve converted the upper rooms into apartments, theyve still reserved alot of the art and ceiling murals ^^ very much like stepping into the past and you also have access to the grounds which were GENUINELY so so big and the trees have such pretty flowers and UGH idk i love it sm!! the entry fee is only £7 for under 18 year olds but very much worth it because theres no time limit.
speaking of richmond irs also where kew gardens is located (personally i think it fell off because tell me why its so expensive to get in) but theres this little brunch-on-a-boat restraunt called peggy jean and i desperately wanted to go last time but i wasnt able to 💔💔 its so pink and gorgeous i just had to mention it
5. soho
i think not mentioning it would be wrong but soho is very close to everywhere in central london!! if you dont mind crowds (and i mean you really dont mind crowds) id recommend oxford street, regent street and carnaby street because they have lots of shops especially for clothes!!! personally i dont rly like buying things from there just because the prices r absolutely insane and i could get them online for SO much cheaper 😞😞 chinatown is also close by and they have soo much good food one of my favourites is the noodle inn!! they also have life4cuts and another photobooth if ur feeling thosee!! there was also this shop i went into one time that sold sony angels and a bunch of little trinkets but i literally dont remember what it was called but ill find a pic 💔💔 buckingham palace and covent garden are also not far so literally u wont be bored in soho
6. hampstead heath
genuinely one of my favourite places in london i think its such a gorgeous area and im pretty sure harry styles and tim burton live there the houses are so huge and pretty (and so over millions each) but i really love the area it has huge gardens and idk it doesnt even feel like ur in london anymore when ur like on the heaths!! but places to visit ^^ they have a womens only bathing pond and its like only £2 entry if ur a student (and £4 if you arent) and i havent been in them before but go on a sunny day and it must be so fun!! parliament hill viewpoint is also so gorgeous and apparently the park inspired C.S. lewis to write the narnia chronicles ^^ so u js know its gorgeous yk. the hill garden/pergola are also genuinely one of the prettiest gardens if ive probably ever seen (might beat kyoto tbh) pls search them up because genuinely theyre so gorgeous!! another place i wanna visit and havent yet is kenwood house and its free to visit, displaying loads of art !! hampstead town is also so cute me and my friends always get crepes from there and act like we live in the million pound houses 😼😼 very fun u might spot me there lowk
ANYWAYS I GENUINELY CANT PICK i have a love hate relationship with london like sometimes im in awe and other times im like ew… but yeah im also so indecisive i hope u can visit all these

Started thinking about Monet’s ships and how surprisingly varied they’ve been over the years, so I’m going to rate them
Law: the ur Monet ship; she asked him for wings, he gave them to her, it’s really easy to extrapolate that into an intimate moment for her, and her flirty interactions with him suggest the kind of gratitude that she feels. S
Doflamingo: as close to canon as the Law ship, except we know for a fact that she feels some form of love for Doflamingo, she probably wouldn’t have tried to sacrifice herself for him otherwise. Aesthetically, they also just work really well together with green and pink feathers together. S
Caesar: I get it, but I do not like it. I just plain don’t like Caesar, personally, and the idea of him being intimate with anyone is uncomfortable for me, but Monet’s constant roasting creates a fun dynamic, so she pulls up the rating a bit. E
Vergo: Not much interaction between them, but the idea that they both survived Punk Hazard and helped each other get back on their feet creates a lot of opportunity for something fun. Lots of potential, but barely any foundation. B
Luffy: she hugged him, so that’s a plus on aesthetic, and Luffy loves snow, so that’s a plus on interaction, but Luffy’s staunch aromanticism very promptly kills its potential. They’d make great friends, but that’s it. C
Nami: they both have weather abilities, they’re both women, and orange and green go well together. Not enough interaction to work with, but damn they look good together. B
Zoro: they’re both green and they fought. Certainly more to go on than Vergo, and they’d make a good looking couple. I’ve seen cute fanart of their hypothetical child, and damn if that doesn’t give them a few extra points. B
Tashigi: they fought and they’re girls, so not much more to go on than Zoro, but the yuri angle has led to more popularity among fans and Monet thrives when she has the advantage in the ship, so I think it’s a little more fun than Zoro. A
Robin: similar to Nami in that they’re both women in One Piece and Monet stabbed her once, but that’s the extent of it. It’s pretty arbitrary, and the art I’ve seen of it...wasn’t the most flattering. C
Kuzan: both have ice Logia, and similar to Vergo, some believe he played a part in her survival; I like Kuzan more than Vergo, so that’s a plus, but Monet has had canon interactions with Vergo, so they approximately balance out. B
Bellamy: I don’t think anyone’s done this one other than me, but as Doflamingo stans that may both become disillusioned and ally with the Straw Hats, their common ground is a lot of fun to think about. Similar to the Vergo situation, but I’m super endeared to Bellamy whereas I’m neutral to Vergo. A
Viola: Monet used to work as an attendant for Viola, so while we never saw them interact, we know they had a master/servant dynamic, which is prime shipping material. The subsequent betrayal creates an opportunity for some juicy angst, especially with the potential nuance that Monet may have been the one to convince Doflamingo to let Viola live. A
Gladius: Only just saw this one, so while there’s nothing to go on, they at least look good together. I’m sure they’d work fine, but I don’t feel connected enough to Gladius to give it a particularly high rating. C
Carrot: I came up with this because I originally believed that Carrot would get the Snow-Snow Fruit and started thinking about Monet’s spirit living on through Carrot. Beyond that, the aesthetic of a bird of prey shipped with a rabbit is really cute, and their personalities seem like they’d complement each other pretty well. B
Camie: basically the same as with Carrot, just a fish instead of a rabbit, and the shared aesthetic of both being green-haired. This one is fairly popular and I see it a lot, so it beats out the Carrot ship if for no better reason than ubiquity. A
Marco: another one based solely on aesthetic; snowbird + firebird, both wearing glasses. It’s cute, especially when Marco is in hybrid form to match Monet’s body type, I just don’t feel connected enough to Marco to really get behind it. B
King: same as Marco with the ice and fire aesthetic, it gets a slightly higher rating for two reasons; 1) King is hotter; 2) I’ve mentioned before that I think there’s a connection between Monet and the Lunarians, so it’s easier for me to imagine the sorts of interactions they’d have. A
Stussy: aesthetically the devil to Monet’s angel, both were created in a lab and became experts at infiltration, only to one day be put in a position to sacrifice themselves to destroy the very labs that made them what they are; however, where Doflamingo ordered Monet to die, Vegapunk pleaded with Stussy to live. There’s also a theory that Monet has worked in the Pleasure District before, either that she was rescued from it by Doflamingo or put there by him to meet Caesar, but both provide an interesting basis for knowing Stussy. S
Marguerite: purely because Marguerite is my second favorite character and no other reason. There isn’t really a lot of aesthetic or thematic similarity between them, but I do want both of them to join the Straw Hats, so they’d at least have an opportunity to form a dynamic in that scenario, though my difficulty in envisioning that dynamic loses this one a ton of points. D
Perona: stumbled across this one on twitter; their color schemes work great together (green/white + pink/black), and being henchwomen to Shichibukai (Doflamingo and Moria) would give them something to bond over, even if it’s a competitive relationship. C
Ginrummy: similar to Marguerite this is mostly just because I like both of them, BUT Ginrummy gets the edge for two reasons; 1) she has the benefit of her magenta color scheme complementing Monet’s, and 2) both of them are henchwomen that show disdain for their superiors (Caesar and Jack) and seemingly get killed in action. D
Kaku: again, similar to Marguerite, this time because Kaku is my favorite male character, and by extension because I love both birds and giraffes, and green and orange are my favorite colors. From a personal standpoint, the optics of this one are great, but that’s about all I’ve got. However, Kaku does ship great with Stussy, whom I equivocate with Monet, so he gains some points there. C
This isn’t an exhaustive list, these are just the ships that I’ve seen and that come to mind easily. The rating system is pretty arbitrary and subject to change. Maybe I should have just arranged these in order of how much I like them, but I think that factoring in canon, aesthetic and dynamic was a good way to help account for my biases. At least a little

Botanic Art Prints: Breathe Life into Your Space
When life gives you blank walls, decorate them with flowers in art! Whether you’re a die-hard plant parent or someone whose only successful green venture is a plastic cactus, botanic art prints offer an easy, maintenance-free way to bring nature’s beauty indoors. No watering schedule required!
Tumblr media
Why Botanic Art Prints Are a Blooming Good Idea
Imagine walking into a room filled with lush, colorful floral artwork—instantly refreshing, right? Botanic art prints not only enhance aesthetics but also create a serene and inviting atmosphere. They blend effortlessly with any decor, from classic vintage to sleek modern, making them the perfect home upgrade for all styles.
If you need more convincing, studies suggest that being surrounded by nature (or at least convincing depictions of it) can boost your mood and reduce stress. So why not turn your living space into a floral sanctuary?
The Everlasting Charm of Flowers in Art
For centuries, artists have been captivated by nature’s bounty. Flowers in art have long symbolized love, life, and fleeting beauty—something that even a black thumb can appreciate. From Renaissance still-life paintings to minimalist contemporary floral art, flowers have remained an enduring muse.
And here’s a little secret: No matter the interior design trend of the moment, floral art never goes out of style!
The Beauty of Flower Art Paintings
Flower art paintings are like poetry for the walls. Whether in oil, acrylic, or watercolor, these artworks bring an organic softness to any space. Looking for something timeless? Go for classical floral still lifes that exude sophistication. Prefer a pop of color? Abstract florals will add that artsy, modern edge.
If you’re an art lover (or just someone who appreciates good decor), investing in floral artwork can turn your home into a mini gallery of botanical brilliance.
Impressionist Floral Paintings: A Dreamy Touch
Nothing says romance quite like impressionist floral paintings. Think Monet’s water lilies, Van Gogh’s sunflowers, or Renoir’s garden scenes—soft brushstrokes, vibrant hues, and an almost ethereal quality that makes you want to stare for hours.
If you want a dreamy, whimsical touch in your living space, impressionist floral prints are your best bet. They work beautifully in cozy reading nooks, bedrooms, or even bathrooms (because why not enjoy art while you soak in the tub?).
Contemporary Floral Art for a Modern Twist
Love flowers but want something bold and unique? Contemporary floral art reimagines botanical beauty with edgy compositions, unexpected color palettes, and even digital or mixed-media elements.
Whether it’s oversized blooms in neon hues or minimalist black-and-white floral sketches, modern floral art makes a statement. If your space leans towards a chic, urban vibe, these prints can balance structure with nature’s organic touch.
Choosing the Perfect Botanic Art Prints for Your Space
With so many styles to choose from, selecting the right botanic art prints can feel as overwhelming as choosing a name for a pet fish. Here’s a quick guide:
For a calm and soothing space: Opt for soft watercolors or impressionist floral prints in pastel hues.
For a bold and dramatic look: Choose vibrant contemporary floral pieces with deep colors.
For a classic and timeless touch: Traditional oil-style flower art paintings are the way to go.
For a minimalist aesthetic: Black-and-white botanical sketches add sophistication without overwhelming your space.
Placement Matters: Where to Hang Your Floral Prints
The beauty of botanic art prints is that they look great everywhere. But if you want to maximize their impact, consider these placement ideas:
Above the sofa or bed – Create a stunning focal point with an oversized floral print.
In the hallway – Turn your walkways into an art gallery of flowers in art.
On open shelves – Mix smaller floral prints with books and decorative objects.
In the dining room – A gorgeous impressionist floral piece can add a touch of elegance to your meals.
Where to Find the Best Botanic Art Prints
Thankfully, you don’t need to scour art auctions or befriend a famous painter to get your hands on breathtaking botanic art prints. Here are some of the best places to find them:
Online art marketplaces – Websites like Etsy, Saatchi Art, and Society6 offer a variety of floral art prints from independent artists.
Museum shops – Many museums sell high-quality prints of famous flowers in art masterpieces.
Print-on-demand services – Sites like Redbubble and Fine Art America allow you to choose from thousands of floral artworks.
Local art fairs – Support local artists and find unique, handcrafted floral pieces!
Final Thoughts: Let Your Space Bloom!
Decorating with botanic art prints is a foolproof way to bring beauty, color, and personality into your home. Whether you love impressionist floral paintings, contemporary floral art, or timeless flower art paintings, there’s a perfect piece waiting to transform your space.
So go ahead, embrace the floral frenzy, and let your walls bloom with artistic charm—no watering can be required!

WEEK 7: BODY MODIFICATION ON VISUAL SOCIAL MEDIA
Public Health Campaigns
Although body modification has become more popular and accepted, there are potential health risks associated with certain practices such as tattooing, piercing, and excessive body modification. => Public health campaigns promoting safe body modification practices are required to educate people about potential hazards and aid in the prevention of the spread of blood-borne illnesses. These initiatives can also assist in lessening stigma and discrimination against those who choose to have their bodies.
Public health campaigns may assist promote safe practices, prevent the spread of infections, and encourage individuals to make educated decisions about body alteration. discernment towards their body. The downside of these initiatives is that they can occasionally stigmatise those who choose to alter their bodies, leading to discrimination and unfavorable societal views.

Microcelebrity
What is "Microcelebrity"? https://www.tiktok.com/@ashleymielkee/video/7114362008589536558
Microcelebrity is the construction and maintenance of a highly controlled and branded online presence in order to obtain status and prominence on social media platforms. The influence of microcelebrity culture may be both beneficial and harmful, with some individuals achieving fame and money through their online presence, while others may suffer significant mental health consequences from continually performing for their audience. Influencers on Instagram, YouTube vloggers, and Twitch streamers are instances of microcelebrities. These individuals frequently utilise their internet platforms to sell items and lifestyle choices, establishing a sense of closeness and connection with their followers.
Visibility Labour
Visibility labour is the effort that people perform to make themselves visible online in order to attract attention, followers, and, ultimately, money. Creating and curating social media material, communicating with followers, and participating in online communities are all examples of this.
Social media influencers who create sponsored content for brands are examples of visibility labor, as are individuals who build a large following on platforms like Instagram or TikTok and monetize their audience, and YouTube content creators who rely on advertising revenue and sponsorships to make a living. While there may be financial and personal benefits to participating in visibility labor, it can also be a time-consuming and emotionally draining task.
Aesthetic Labour
Aesthetic labour is the effort made by someone to project a particular aesthetic or image to others, usually for economic gain or in the job. Everything from how someone dresses and presents themselves to the use of specific poses, accessories, or body language can be considered.
Aesthetic labour may be seen in a variety of industries, including hospitality and retail, where staff are required to convey a certain image or aesthetic to consumers. Aesthetic Labour is also performed by social media influencers who curate their online presence and convey a specific image to their audience. Aesthetic labour is performed by fashion bloggers who take meticulously arranged images of their ensembles or food bloggers who utilise specialised accessories and lighting methods to make their foods seem more appetising.
Tumblr media
Image 2: Overview of aesthetic labor.
Aesthetic Templates
Instagram aesthetic templates can range from postures and body work to the use of filters and editing tools to improve the appearance of images. Hand gestures such as the "duck face," "fish gape," and "peace sign" have grown popular among Instagram influencers. Body work might encompass cosmetic surgery, cosmetics instructions, and exercise regimens, all with the goal of creating a specific image. Furthermore, the use of filters and editing tools, such as Facetune, is widespread on Instagram, allowing users to smooth out flaws and improve their physical appearance.

Body Dysmorphic Disorder & Identity Dissonance
Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) is a mental health conditions characterised by intense worry over one's physical appearance. It is not merely discontent with size, but a fixation on a certain trait that interferes with daily living. Identity dissonance, on the other hand, is the sensation of discomfort or conflict that occurs when one's real self-perception differs from their ideal self-perception.
BDD symptoms might include excessive worry over what one perceives to be faults in one's nose, complexion, hair, or body shape, which can cause one to seek cosmetic surgery or engage in dangerous behaviours like obsessive grooming or skin picking. An illustration of identity dissonance may be someone who projects an image on social media that is inconsistent with how they actually see themselves, which causes them to experience worry or discomfort.

tag yourself - writing styles in word
formal: telling others to shut their mouth instead of speaking ill about people,so not sorry for not living up to expectations, their well-done-smile makes people want to change for the better and improve
coloured: did their thesis on impressionism regarding Monet and his techniques, can’t sit still for long, sometimes imagining to be history in the making, eternally grateful to social distancing due to COVID
bold: always walking like a fierce warrior queen, patiently waiting for their enemies unhappy ending, shouting with their inside voice, gets mistaken for a goddess due to their ethereal presence
cursive: very into the noir aesthetic, their sweet taste might surprise the ordinary mind, embarrassing moments and failures too often, thinking of their mistakes, just wanting to talk sometimes
underlined: holding it all together quite desperately, looking at their face might blind you, already planning the next party at their current one, promising to be early and managing to be late every single time
crossed through: ready to love, feels like one of many fish in the sea, waiting for a champagne shower, looking at the clock over and over, actively wanting another human being to be around all the time

Introducing our first character and main protagonist, Leaf! No last name, nothing that seems to anchor him anywhere, he’s a free soul and an earthbender from a humble, crime-filled fishing village named Gaohai in the northeastern district of the Earth Federation governed by the nearest most populous city, Ba Sing Se. At first glance, Leaf looks and acts like your average scoundrel with half a bucket of mastery over his birth element, but he is one surprise after another...
The year is 539 AG in a world still slowly recovering from a devastating nuclear war and winter triggered by the old Earth Republic and Fire Nation several generations ago, and the human and spirit worlds remain at a disbalance after collateral damages. After the last Avatar, Niraq of the Northern Water Tribe, wreaked havoc upon an already unstable world, the new Avatar remains missing since birth. A tentative peace has settled, but tensions can only be ignored for so long...
Avatar From the Ashes is a fan created project dedicated to a 1980s aesthetic story focusing on found family, sociopolitical conflicts, and non-Nickelodeon-safe topics. We are non-monetized and volunteer-based. First chapter is coming soon!

some time ago @britneyshakespeare tagged me in a couple of those things where you bold the one you prefer so im finally gonna sit down and just knock them both out in one post. merci diana <3
honey and lemon or milk and sugar
musicals or plays
lemonade or iced tea
why would i choose when snapples pink lemonade and raspberry iced tea flavors both exist in peaceful harmony like that
strawberries or raspberries
winter or summer
both can be somewhat lonely. at least one doesn’t give me chronic sleep deprivation
beaches or forests
diners or cafés
i barely am up early enough to frequent either
unicorns or dragons
not really sensing a strong opinion brewing forth on either. y'know ill just pick dragons because jane and the dragon was a cool show growing up even if the animation was a tad atrocious
gemstones or crystals
who cares theyre both just cool rocks
hummingbirds or owls
kinda arbitrary but eh. at least one doesnt throw up bones for you to dissect in elementary school
fireworks or sparklers
both fine, just dont get them near me because ive got sort of an irrational fear of getting burned
brunch or happy hour
sweet or sour
ive never gotten the hype behind sour candies like. why are sour patch kids so popular??? theyre just gummy candies with shitty tasting salt on them.
Rome or Amsterdam
oh idk. im quite partial to Paris myself
classic or modern art
the only art medium i frequently and consistently consume is probably music and well.. you don't really see me getting down to classical music unless i need "claude debussy - CLAIRE DE LUNE (5 HOUR LOOP)" to help me focus on studying. i mostly listen to stuff post-1950s, really none of which i would consider "classic art".
sushi or ramen
sun or moon
polka dots or stripes
ill finally come into my own once i obtain a pair of flared striped pants
macaroons or croissants
glitter or matte
ive no preference on the shininess of most surfaces
Degas or Seurat
my art history knowledge is just too limited for this
aquariums or planetariums
fish r cool 🐠 my middle school had a planetarium but im pretty it was long broken before i ever got there
road trip or camping trip
if i ever stop becoming completely exhausted after a mere 45 minutes of driving then yes, id love to do a road trip someday
colouring books or watercolour
fairy lights or candles
well i just straight up dont own fairy lights. and i barely use candles for aesthetic purposes
and here commences the 2nd one:
coffee or tea
i really don’t like either as hot beverages but yeah,, iced tea >> iced coffee
early bird or night owl
although ap season is approaching and that really requires you to be both honestly
chocolate or vanilla
spring or fall
nothing against spring weather wise i just am not at ALL excited for testing rn tbh
silver or gold
pop or alternative
i think both of those genres tend to overlap a lot these days so i really couldn’t say i have a stronger preference for one than the other. they both have their respective great and not-so-great moments
freckles or dimples
i have neither but they’re both v cute on others! :)
snakes or sharks
hmm ive pet both and snakes feel really cool while shark skin can like?? cut you if youre not careful so
mountains or fields
civilization?
thunderstorm or lightning
well yknow one’s loud and scary sounding and the other just makes a little light streak across the sky
egyptian mythology or greek mythology
honestly i just wasnt a mythology kid growing up
ivory or scarlet
flute or lyre
eyes or lips
mostly because i can draw the former a lot better than the latter
witch or fairy
opal or diamond
i just looked up opal on google images and honestly those things look way cooler than diamonds
butterflies or honeybees
nothing against bees! just have a really strong fear of them because when i was a kid i had a bee crawl into my ear and sting me on 2 separate occasions and ive never really gotten over it
macarons or eclairs
typewritten or handwritten
just for convenience’s sake and the fact that i am not my handwriting’s biggest fan
secret garden or secret library
god that would be my 9 year old self’s DREAM,, creeping in there late at night and falling asleep in an oversized office chair with a leather bound copy of the grimm's fairy tales wide open on a big mahogany desk
rooftop or balcony
spicy or mild
opera or ballet
london or paris
vincent van gogh or claude monet
im only familiar with a few of either’s works so i guess its not up to me to say
denim or leather
potions or spells
its like basically the same thing except you get to drink something out of a strange funky little bottle
ocean or desert
would prefer to not be dying due to severe temperature extremes
mermaid or siren
masquerade ball or cocktail party
not that i’d attend either but showing up somewhere in the most decadent ball gown and have no one know who the fuck you are sounds pretty ideal
umm ill tag @curebian @britishsixtiesbeat @johnwettons @dalliscar and @villarosie if any of them feel like doing either one (or both) of the tag games.

My Favorite RPDR Queens
1.) Naomi Smalls
Naomi is the most beautiful queen I have ever laid my eyes on. Her mug is FISH & her fashion is everything I live for. I see a lot of myself in Naomi. Put her on season 7 & she could have giver Violet a run for her money in my opinion.
Tumblr media
2.) Shangela Laquifa Wadley
Shangela is actually the first drag queen I had ever actually met & seen before I watched drag race. We have the exact same sense of humor which I adore. Her looks my be hit or miss but I have nothing but respect for my mother.
Tumblr media
3.) Monique Heart Aquaria
Honestly at the cast announcement & the events leading up to the premier I hated Monique. I thought she was too loud and annoying, but when the show premiered oh honey. For a queen who had nothing but fabric SHE MADE IT WORK EVERY TIME. She was ROBBED for the first challenge. Monique is a phenomenal performer in person, and I relate to her more than I expected. She is hilarious, stunning, and beautiful. Facts are Facts America.
Tumblr media
4.) Aquaria
I have been following Aquaria since my freshman year of college (I’m now a Junior). I love her for her LWEKS AND MUG. She has a concise aesthetic that she sticks with and it’s perfect. Her beat is FISH and she can perform like nobody’s business. Excluding us being in the same generation, there’s something about her that just clicks with me.
Tumblr media
5.) Bob the Drag Queen
Bob is in the exact same boat as Shangela, I just personally connect with Shangela more. Her charisma is magical and is a really nice person.
Tumblr media
6.) Yekaterina Petrovna Zamolodchikova
Ms. Katya (as well as Trixie) hadn’t been a favorite until I started to religiously watch UNHhh, but she is one of a kind and I love that about her.
Tumblr media
7.) Aja
I actually hated Aja at first, but after Valentina got exposed & I heard Aja’s side I was like “ok. maybe i can get on this train” When she came back to AS3 she became a favorite. SHE IS SO FUCKING RELATABLE. I almost put her above Katya. Plus her post AS3/RPDR LOOKS are STUNNING. I’m sad she couldn’t showcase those on the show.
Tumblr media
8.) Tatiana
I personally started watching drag race from season 4 and above so I was late to the game for a bit. After AS1 I went back and watched seasons 1-3. I didn’t like them very much but I did like Tatianna and Shangela. Tati was a strong competitor at such a young age and she knew how to stand up for herself without being shady or messy. Which I applauds her for. She is a BIOLOGICAL WOMAN and there is not a single runway of hers I didn’t like. I aspire to look as fish as she does. Thank you.

9.) Monet X Change
I have been following Aquaria for over a year now & she would alyways talk about Monet. I wasn’t that into her until I got to see her personality shine on the show. If we were the same age when I move to NYC year after next I could swear up and down we would’ve been best friends.

10.) Trixie Mattel
I stan our AS3 winner. It’s not her fault the producers fucked up Shangela. Im ashamed to say that I have the SAME laugh as Trixie and also a similar humor. If you can’t laugh at yourself how the hell you gonna laugh at somebody else?

Subnautica is an open world survival action-adventure video game developed and published by Unknown Worlds Entertainment. In it, players are free to explore the ocean on an alien planet.
the game look is very good i like the aspect of using the sea as a very big part of your game. i thought you would be very limited with the stuff you can do having your game based predominantly at sea however this game has every thing within the sea within it down from the different types of fish to the different type of coral. this game also is very good as it actually included the different depth  of the sea. however the map is also very big as there is loads of different islands you can visit.
Tumblr media
Firewatch is an adventure game developed by Campo Santo and published by the developer in partnership with Panic. The game was released in February 2016 for Microsoft Windows, OS X, Linux, and PlayStation 4, for Xbox One in September 2016.
the thing i like a bout the firewatch map is that there is 3 predominant colours that make up the map these are redish and brownish colours however the developers done a very good job in making the game aesthetics look very good with these colours.

Games I’m excited about for 2018
Spider-man (PS4 exclusive): This list is in no way ranked. That being said this is my most anticipated game of 2018. I have been waiting for a Spider-man game to grab me since Spider-man 2. When I was at E3 the gameplay looked really promising and showed that the developers knew what made the good games good. From what I can see they even were able to pull some of the things that made the bad games good a la “Web of Shadows”. I’m not going to say much else for fear of this whole post turning into a Spider-man rant. Don’t let me down Insomniac. Do not.
Dragon Ball FighterZ: This game looks SHIT HOT and I’m excited to have a fighter I really want to get into from this generation. Smooth seamless combat at breakneck speeds and so much source material it was probably daunting. DBZ is special to me and many people like me, the guys at Arc Systems have their work cut out for them and I’m excited. My fighting games thus far have been Soul Calibur 3, MvC 2, and the little I dabbled in Injustice 2 ....yeah as you can see fighting games aren’t my thing. This, however, this is gonna be something I commit to. Come January 28th these hands will be on sale, come and get it
Days Gone (PS4 exclusive): 28 Days Later-esque pandemic centered in a rich yet frightening wilderness with survival mechanics? Single Player based?Yes please and thank you I will be having all of it. The gameplay looks great and just as importantly, the story seems engaging. Yes, it’s the same Last of Us scenario we’ve encountered time and time again in both games and movies. This time I think that may have been taken into account. There’s a somber yet rooted tone that though again has been done before, really seems to hold up even in the brief cutscenes available online. Am I worried that the developers have really only accomplished the Syphon Filter series (dating myself here which is a scary thought), two PS Vita Uncharted games, one unremarkable Resistance game, and Bubsy 3D in ‘96.... NOPE fuck it cause it’s almost promised to be free of micro-transactions and actually be an enjoyable and enthralling experience.
Monster Hunter World: The beta was fun, combat felt a little empty at times but once it gets going there is no stopping this game. Something about hunting a Slug Fish creature in a swamp, turning a corner only to see some unholy being vaguely reminiscent of a T Rex fused with an Armadillo. At that point I realized that we may be the monster hunters but holy shitfuck we better come correct. Really really really deep equipment and tools settings. Your main weapon is just the beginning with perks, buffs both passive and active, as well as a few other key tools also being at your disposal. I got a buddy to join me and the two of us dragged each other through that ordeal but it was hard because it was new, I was still having a good time. I’m excited to see what Capcom brings to their first console rendition in 11 years for a franchise that is as highly acclaimed as this one.
Far Cry 5: This is a series that has always done an amazing job at the whole “Hunter v Hunted” aesthetic. I always feel so powerful and dangerous when I play Far Cry and 3 was a huge step in the right direction. 4 had a lot of things that I enjoyed, the gunplay, vehicles, and characters were really good. It did, however, fall a little short story-wise as well as some worn game mechanics with this being the fourth in the series. I did not get to play FC5 at E3 because that line was absurd. That being said, from the gameplay available on Youtube and various interviews it does seem that Ubisoft is aware of the potential stale twinge Far Cry has developed over the years. I’m looking forward to cutting down zealot cultists in the open Montana landscapes. March 27.
Anthem: This game is important, after the fuck-shit-stack that was Battlefront 2 and the cacophony of backlash that came with it; EA have to get this right. This loot box based online shooter, the “Destiny-killer” it’s being called. How does one kill what is already dead? Fuck if I know but I am interested IF they can do it right. That being said, my hopes aren’t high, but this game will be a barometer. This will show whether EA is willing to bend at all on their plans for monetization. They know a BF2 scenario is totally on the table now, and if they misstep, there will be more backlash. Either way, we win, either we get a good game or EA get put on another stake to burn.
Vampyr: From the developer that brought us Life is Strange and Remember Me comes a new game set in London 1918 during the Spanish Flu pandemic. We will play a vampire (sigh prime journalism over here folks) in town with a set number of NPCs and each death will have consequences for both you and the city. Semi-open world with an RPG and combat focus, I’m so down and I really hope this game can do new things. Q2 (Jan., Feb., Mar.) 2018
Soul Calibur 6: My fighting game is back and this is going to be a weird year for me with not one but two fighting games that will find my focus this year. Mitsurugi, Sophitia, and around 20+ are back to beat the everloving snot out of each other. I’m excited because this is supposedly a “reboot” of the franchise which means a lot of the original characters will be back (Nightmare, Maxi, Ivy, Taki, Kilik, etc). Things like armor breaking are both interesting and worrisome. I suspect Taki, Ivy, and the other unreasonably busty women of the series will be left awfully vulnerable sans armor by the mid/end of a battle. Regardless, this revamp maybe what the fighting franchise needs to enter the ring against the big boys of this generation.
Death Stranding: DEATH MOTHER FUCKING STRANDVXIRJORWTMDNGHF  Let me tell you something, Kojima is going to save us all. I’m serious he is going to take all our hands and walk us into the sunlight of gaming where there are no microtransactions, the singleplayer is an epic odyssey, the multiplayer is fun but unnecessary, and the gaming experience is not only unique but has a lasting impression on every gamer brave enough to hold a controller. This game is going to test us, change us, and maybe most importantly: make people rethink the way games are made/designed. The third person sci-fi nightmare adventure will be here before we know it and great Scott am I ready to dive in.
Red Dead Redemption 2: Had you asked me about RDD2 and it’s hypothetical production about 3 years ago; I would’ve said something along the lines of  “Fuck yes yippie kai yay mfs where mah horse at”. After Take-Two (parent company of 2k and Rockstar) came out and essentially supported EA’s usage of loot boxes. The CEO stated that “Recurrent consumer spending was the way of the future,” which is concerning to say the very least. I’m worried my West World sim is gonna turn into well...something more like West World. “Oh what’s that want a new hat? 5 bucks. New horse? 10 doll hairs plz. New gun? 15 smackers and the skin off your respective genitalia. Thank you come again.” My once resounding and honestly strange response is definitely more tepid and cautious. GTAV is lending itself quite nicely to the ways of the microtransaction and I can just see little buckets of gold nuggets or some dumb shit like that hinging in front of me or at the local shop. If so may there be backlash, and lots of it.
HONORABLE MENTIONS:
Greedfall: Developed by Spiders, a team with an... interesting track record in gaming (Sherlock Holmes v Jack the Ripper, Bound by Flame, and Technomancer [yikes]). On paper, this game sounds like it might be worth a damn and this is the most publicity any of their games have gotten so that does peak my interest. That and the publisher is Focus Home Interactive, makers of games like Divinity 2 and The Surge as well as my highly anticipated Call of Cthulhu and Vampyr. Who knows, this team up might just work. An open world RPG with online mechanics sounds fun.
God of War: I have never played a God of War game all the way through. With this being my first PlayStation that does make sense. That being said, I’m very excited to sit down and try my hand at this rebooted series. Given the reputation and clear influence a game like GoW has had, it does lead my expectations up rather than down. Santa Monica is developing, Ready at Dawn for some reason isn’t but it’s good to see the original team getting another crack at the Spartan. This time Greco-Roman gods are put aside for a more Nordic feel. The chain blades replaced with a hefty ax as well as a few other tools from what I’ve read/heard. Another interesting single player experience for those turned off by multiplayer and microtransactions. Not to say it won't have them just look at Shadow of War. It does, however, make it considerably less likely.
BioMutant: Traverse an open and changing world as an also everchanging bio-genetic mutant. Supposedly going to have big rpg mechanics involving the fact that your character’s schtick is evolving and changing. Brought to you by THQ Nordic the people that brought us the highs of the Darksiders series, Painkiller: Hell and Damnation, and Red Faction (2001). As well as some lows like the recently imploded Elex, Alan Wake, and the classic Spynx and the Cursed Mummy. I really don’t know what to make of this resume let alone what to expect. I am however excited for something new in the third person adventure genre.
