Flames of Fury
photo courtesy of Rachael on Unsplash The multiple fires burning in Southern California are a reminder that we have very little control over the circumstances of our lives. Families have been left stripped of all they own. Lives have been lost. What had been a series of communities is left barren and bereft of voices and laughter. Neighbors are scattered, families who used to live close to one…

"When Canada was fighting wildfires in Alberta, Quebec and British Columbia in 2023, blazes that would go on to eventually burn more than 45 million acres, more than 2,000 American firefighters helped extinguish the flames.
Now, Canada has returned the favor. It is sending air tankers and dozens of its own battle-tested wildland firefighters to Los Angeles, its government said. Air tankers can deliver thousands of gallons of fire retardant or water to wildland firefighters on the ground.
More personnel and equipment from Ontario, Quebec and Alberta are ready to be mobilized, according to government officials. And a team of senior technical staff members from British Columbia will fill specialized roles, the government said.
“We both know that Canada and the United States are more than just neighbours,” Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said on X on Friday. “We’re friends — especially when times get tough. California’s always had our back when we battle wildfires up north. Now, Canada’s got yours.”
Mexico quickly followed, dispatching a crew of firefighters early Saturday to help the huge deployment already underway.
“We are a country of generosity and solidarity,” President Claudia Sheinbaum said on X. Ms. Sheinbaum said that the group was carrying “the courage and heart of Mexico.”
Before departing Mexico City for California, the Mexican firefighters held the flags of California, Mexico and the United States on the runway.
Mexico’s civil protection agency said that “cooperation has no borders” and that the mission reaffirmed “its solidarity with the people of California.”
Gov. Gavin Newsom of California said that he was grateful for the support from both countries."

Dear Friends, I am so deeply grateful & touched by your thoughts, prayers, posts & messages. I can not begin to tell you how much your kindness means to me. ❤️ My heart runneth over. I love all of you!
Through the generosity & goodness of Airbnb, we found temporary housing. So many good people have donated clothes, food, dog food, and toiletries. We are just grateful to be alive! The strength & resiliency of the human spirit are truly remarkable.
We are busy trying to figure out where we go from here, but I will definitely message each of you.
"Please continue to pray for the California wildfire victims who have lost everything. Ask God “to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness” (Isaiah 61:3) in the wake of this horrendous tragedy."
Blessings & deep gratitude. Much love from @snowangelsoul (Ellie).

Update from Alex Hirsch on his Instagram stories regarding the wildfires. He's okay.
While Alex is okay, others sadly were not as lucky. Phil Rynda posted that some GF crew members have lost their homes in the fires.
One of those is GF background designer Bill Flores.
Tumblr media
Below is a link to his GoFundMe. If you can help out, please do and help as Phil said, his favourite Bill from Gravity Falls rebuild.

So here's the thing. 20 million people live in LA. Most of us have either been evacuated ourselves or know someone who has/lost their home. Everyone's breathing in smoke and ash.
Celebs can and do have the resources to get away from this. They have the means to rebuild. Ordinary people don't.
This isn't about the rich, so people need to stop treating it as a rich person's situation. What happens to SoCal quite literally affects the entire country.

& even more ways you can help
L.A. County medical examiner has confirmed 17 deaths attributed to the Eaton Fire (24+ for Eaton and Palisades) still raging in the mountains overlooking Altadena and Pasadena. Sheriff officials are investigating 24 missing person reports related to the fire.
The fire that began on January 7 shortly after the Palisades Fire still ripping through the City (not to be confused with the County) is thankfully over 70 percent contained at present. Strong winds due next week present an immediate threat to the area, but thousands of victims have already lost everything — homes, livelihoods, loved ones.
I had previously shared links about Altadena and ways you can help Black families impacted by the fire. I urge you to check this document periodically if you'd like to keep up with donation efforts, as AFROPUNK continues to make updates.
For those interested in more donation options whether for themselves or to share with others, I've grabbed a few more from mutual aid organizations around the area.
The National Alliance for Filipino Concerns (NAFCON) has a donation link circling, which directs to PayPal. The group is partnering with local community organizations and volunteers around Southern California to reach affected communities. They seek to provide information, resources, PPE, and welfare checks for victims.
Off-The-Grid Missions (OTG) has a hub for deaf and disabled people affected by the wildfires. Donations provide humanitarian aid for deaf, hard-of-hearing, deaf-blind, and deaf-disabled individuals and their families in crisis. The hub (previous link) also points to resources like free transportation, temporary housing, animal shelters, restaurants serving evacuees, and mental health hotlines. They also have a form for requesting assistance.
The National Domestic Workers Alliance (NDWA) is also accepting donations that they seek to distribute with the help of Los Angeles area affiliates like The Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA), Instituto Educación Popular (IDEPSCA), and Pilipino Workers Center. I can personally vouch for some of these groups from past experience with their contributions to combating human trafficking.
If you'd like to find more opportunities to help, please also look at the Mutual Aid LA Network or @/mutualaidla on socials. I've also provided additional donation opportunities (firefighters, animal services, etc.) in a previous blog post.

It sickens me how many people are making the L.A. fires about Palestine.
Can you people not care about two different things separately, equally? Why must care for one thing be seen as overshadowing another?
As a southern Californian, it terrifies me how quick people are to brush off these wildfires. This isn't "justice", this is more bloodshed. More innocent lives, gone. All from the hands of our capitalist overlords, for that matter.
Most of our wildfires are caused by electricity companies refusing to keep their powerlines upkept. They'd rather us burn to the ground then spend a penny to trim some dry foliage. Because that's all they care about; money.
I'm tired of being told that looking out for myself is selfish. That keeping the little money I have, or keeping my mental health stable by not wanting people to show me gore is somehow a bold ask these days.
I'm tired. I'm tired. Let me rest.

Please help support people suffering from Eaton Fire!!!
Those of you who don't live in California might not know but there's currently a few fires, the biggest being Eaton Fire, destroying cities in Southern California and spreading rapidly due to high winds. Areas like Pasadena, Glendale, and Altadena have already evacuated and many more areas (including mine) are on standby for potential evacuation. Please consider donating to any of the places listed here and send support to your friends in Southern California.

The Los Angeles mega fires are bringing out all the armchair fire experts that were hiding in plain sight all along to share their expertise in YouTube comments. Where were they all along? They are sharing their brilliant insights like "It was Govenor Newscum's fault for not raking the forest", "It was arson!". "The fire hydrants ran out of water because California is too concerned about stupid little fish", and of course "As soon as this so-called fire expert mentioned climate change, I knew he was an idiot!" (Please note the above is sarcasm) Anyway, sarcasm aside, as someone who has lived in SoCal for some time, I can tell you this really is fucking unusual and a freak occurrence nobody was prepared for. Usually fires of such a large scale are in heavily wooded, rural parts where people set up big vacation houses and ranches, but these ones blazed through developed, suburban areas. Imagine a really fucking fast fire spread by a massive hair dryer set to 100 mph and the tinder isn't the "brush", but houses and cars. Also, I have never heard of the Santa Ana winds getting THAT fast before, ever. California does have a water storage issue, but it has nothing to do with environmental policies, but rather the depletion of groundwater via agriculture and such agriculture not allowing the water table to be replenished.

I had a best friend when I was little, growing up through early childhood together from little tiny babies. Our families were very enmeshed in each other, our moms looking after us for each other, he's in a lot of my early childhood memories and baby photos. I say this because his mother, and her husband, lost everything in the Eaton fire in Altadena.
This woman is a big part of raising me and of my and my mother's life. She and my mother remain in touch even though my first friend and I don't keep in touch any more—both of them will always be deeply important people to me. If you're at all able to give, it means a lot to me. If not, thank you to anyone who helps me spread this link around.

At the core of everything happening in California is communist rebellion, and it goes very very deep. The betrayal is unfathomable and the justification is that people do not deserve freedom. It comes from the belief that humans should not be lifted up with spiritual evolution, but rather demoted, degraded, desensitized, and broken down. The Democrat Party has given itself over to authoritarian mindset and it's not just about enforcing will over the populace. It's about deluging them with lies until they beg you to be enslaved and praise you for destroying their homes, destroying their economy, destroying their self sufficiency, destroying their belief system, destroying their peace of mind. It's about creating the perfect obedient drone who will say "Yes, I will conform because I'm doing it to end racism, sexism, homophobia and transphobia." Nothing real is accomplished. Everything is a lie. You give them the power to annihilate everything when you believe their lies. None of this is a coincidence. Do not believe them. Nothing they say is real. Nothing they say they stand for is legitimate.
Tumblr media
The corruption of California's elites to plunder the state, take everything for themselves, lie about it, gaslight the population, paint themselves as savior figures, and vocally attack those that criticize them is Communism 101. It's a playbook we've seen before. It must be fought and Gavin Newsom and his entire party must be confronted viscerally, loudly, and thrown out of office. The Democrat Party has created unbridled chaos. It is purposeful. It is total betrayal of our Republic. It is treason and they will accuse you of treason for supporting Trump. No matter how much you love America and want to defend it from evil. They will overwhelm your friends and your family with false allegations and associations. These are not legitimate but rather meant to poison the human mind. Communist allegations are never legitimate. They are designed to inflame passionate rebellion based on fervent emotional responses to entirely fictitious causes.
Communism is an abomination. It is death of the human mind and it is a death cult which reveres destruction of every kind with the excuse that the order it brings in the end is worth the struggle. The communist leftist American rebellion is the largest, most far reaching conspiracy in American history. The CIA and Democrat Party have been compromised to the point of no return because they believe that we can't win a war with China, so we should weaken our own country so that China can take over, giving them sole authority once they have the ability to outlaw all opposition. WW3 under Harris would have allowed them to place our military in harms way and allow the CCP total access to our military decisions and strategy, thus allowing them to win and establish the Chinese communist century.
That is why the state of California is burning. They allowed illegal criminal gangs to flood our country. This has overwhelmed our resources and ability to attend to the needs of our own people. They allowed Chinese nationals to cross the border in untold numbers so they can form sleeper cells. They have been waiting for this moment to attack every part of the American psyche through environmental devastation, infrastructure collapse and encouraging the total breakdown of the American mind through total deceit. Their sabotage was well planned. They are not this incompetent. No one really cared about the smelt fish. None of this is coincidental. The fires are happening because they wanted them to happen. They will do anything to stop the GOP from creating a successful economy and reestablishing order in a country where its youth have been indoctrinated towards cultural self immolation.
Resist their lies. Trump did everything he could to stop this. They ignored him on purpose. Gavin Newsom, Nancy Pelosi and the rest of the Democrat Party of California will do literally anything for power and that includes this unholy and perverse rejection of Western Civilization. It includes framing conservatives for the Jan 6 "riot". It includes the attempted assassination. It includes MSM propaganda at a higher level than any point in our history. It includes murder. It includes "natural" disasters and the coordinated refusal to help those whose livelihoods have been destroyed by floods in North Carolina, fires in Maui and Sonoma County and the plight of those who will have no recourse but to beg the government for scraps in the wake of the planned attack on Los Angeles.
THIS COMMUNIST REBELLION IS AN EVIL WHICH MUST BE CAST OUT AND EXORCIZED OUT OF OUR SOCIETY LIKE THE DEMONIC INFESTATION THAT IS IS.

Dear friends: I just wanted to give you an update on my little life. First & foremost, I apologize for not being very active on Tumblr... my moots are very dear to me. Secondly, we are grateful to be alive! Despite tremendous loss, life goes on, & we must start from scratch, which, frankly, is overwhelming yet necessary. The real estate market is extremely competitive due to the 12,000 people who lost their homes in the fires. We have made an offer on a house in Orange County vs. LA County. Replacing things like a coffee maker, tv, furniture, sound system, security system, clothing, etc. is unbelievably expensive. Fortunately, our homeowners insurance, along with a large donation from my employer (Disney Animation Studios), have been a godsend. Despite losing sentimental & important items, they are just "things," & I refuse to dwell or whine about material loss. So many victims were not so lucky.
Currently, I am back to work part time, which gives me a sense of normalcy. However, I spend time helping fire victims by paying it forward.
I realize many of you are struggling with your own problems. I want to be there for you as so many of you have supported & comforted me. Please message me if you need a listening ear. Love & Light to you all. 💛☀️
